VALOR TOOLS AND DEFENSES

DEFENSIVE
The Valor is equipped with several safety features to protect the crew and ship in any situation.

Energy Barrier: Consists of several electromagnetic fields each with a specific job. It absorbs attacks and stores it within the field. Requires periodic discharges or it will overload.
Weakness: Single, powerful blasts.
-Radiation Shield: This field is tuned to the highly dangerous gamma, X-ray, and upper UV spectrum's. It is the most self-reliant of the fields, often drawing little power from the ship.
-Heat Shield: This field is dedicated solely to blocking infrared rays. It can be one of the most productive fields, as the discharge rate is extremely high and the field, being a lower frequency, require relatively little energy.
-All-Purpose Shield: AKA the combat shield, it is the outermost layer and has the largest charge holding capacity of all the fields, giving a much-needed boost to weapons when discharged. Since it covers all the spectrum's, it is also requires the most power to activate.

Deflector Shield: A strange field of energy around the ship that is thought to use a net of gravitons to block projectile going a certain speed. How is works exactly s speculative, but all projectiles coming at it will bounce off the field.
Weakness: Multiple hits across the barrier.

HULL
Every ship has a hull. Not just to hold in air. Here's what the Valor's hull features.

-Heat Shield Plating: A heat resistant layer of metal. The outermost layer, it is the first to go once shields fail in combat. It is also a fail safe if the Heat Shield in the Energy Barrier falls. Also is highly resistant to infrared beams, making it a useful line of short-term defense.

-Armor: Just under the heat shield, this layer provides some protection against enemy projectile fire and protects against asteroids that float inside the deflector shield.

-Radiation Shield: The innermost layer, the radiation shield is the thickest layer of the ship. It is able to withstand massive amounts of radiation.

Point Defense Systems: At numerous locations around the ship, there are automated turrets. These turrets take down any projectiles and hostile fighters around the ship. It has three settings.

-UV Pulse: Since the UV section of any radiation field is lacking, this is used to blow a fighter's shield and (hopefully) overload the systems inside and/or fry the pilot with solar radiation. Anti-fighter only. Light Energy Weapon. Medium energy draw.

-Infrared Beam: Although less effective in punching through shields than UV, it is much more effective in actually getting rid of the target. It can melt most incoming missiles and torpedoes if given enough time. Light Energy Weapon. Low energy draw.

MINING
Since you can't simply hop on the nearest space station and fill up on resources, one has to gather them from asteroid fields.

Mining Tools
-10 mining drones
-Smelter/Refinery room
-On-board mining laser

Factory: Since you can't buy new equipment, you have to make and repair it yourself.
-Several building robots
-Workshop
-Design Center

SCANS
Any Officer can ask the GM for scan results of thing/place/object, etc. When you do, The GM shall post the results and stats of the scan.

TYPES OF SCANS INCLUDE:

The Bio-Scanner can be used to find out what the population/species on board a ship and detail their life-signs. The Bio-Scanner can not be used while warping. In order for it to register, the Science Officer must input the newly discovered species into the Valor Database.

Radar/Sonar is usually used in close range to detect hidden objects/ship, etc.

System Scanner uses the subspace to get an instant map of a solar system.

Planetary Scanner is a highly advanced scan back engineered from the ship found on Venus. How it works is unknown, but it scans the entire planet and tells you every detail about the planet. Such as atmosphere, geologic activity, promising landing sites, etc.

Object Scanner is used to figure out the size/distance/speed of an object

SHIPS
The Valor is equipped with various ships and probes to do stuff it cannot.

2 Fighters: One pilot required. No passenger space.
-Weapons: Gauss Gatling Guns (Lt Pro Wep, Min Pwr), Infrared Charged Pulse Cannon (Md En Wep, Hi Pwr. Gets pwr from En Barrier),Plasma/EMP Missiles/Bombs (Hvy Pro Wep, Min Pwr).
-Defense: Deflector Shield, Energy Barrier (Rad Shld, Al-Purp Shld), Hull (Ht Shld Plting, Armr), Flares (Lt En Wep, Min Pwr).

3 Shuttles: One pilot, one gunner, 3 passengers.
-Weapons: Mini-Thor Forward Cannon(Hvy En Wep, Hi Pwr, gets Pwr from En Bar), Gauss Cannons (Md Pro Wep, Min Pwr)
-Defense: Hull (Ht Shld Plting, Armr, Rad Shld), Energy Barrier (Al-Purp Shld)

10 Scout Probes: Computer-controlled
-Weapons: Self-Destruct (Med En Wep), Mini-Gauss Cannon (Lt Pro Wep, Min Pwr, Auto, Pistol rounds), Infrared Cutting Laser (Lt En Wep, Min Pwr)
-Defense: Energy Barrier (Ht Shld, Rad Shld), Cloak, Jamming.

10 Combat drones: Computer-controlled
-Weapons: Mini-Gauss Cannon (Med Pro Wep, Min Pwr, Auto, Rifle rounds), Gamma Laser (Med En Wep, Hi Pwr), Plasma Rocket Launcher (Hvy Pro Wep, Min Pwr), Infrared Cutting Laser (Lt En Wep, Min Pwr)
-Defense: Hull (Armr), Energy Barrier (Ht Shld, Rad Shld, Al-Purp Shld)

10 Escape Pods: 1 pilot, 4 passengers
-Defense: Cloak, Energy Barrier (Rad Shld, Ht Shld), Hull (Ht Shld Plting, Armr)
