Every time the moon shines, I become alive.
They did usurp the throne of a betrayer but they also created more like them and sought to create a great empire of beasts that could not be vanquished by men. Both brothers had different visions for such an empire and the two fought to the death over such a thing and for who would be the supreme leader of such an empire. An alpha. Romulus had been more favored by the gods and struck down his own brother. His eyes burn red of blood as a badge for the man who would create the oldest and greatest pack of werewolves to ever live.
Romulus sought to secure reign with only the purest of blood from his own line and took upon countless wives to create a vast amount of heirs to be raised just like him. Though that was not enough. Only the best could earn the title of Luna and take his place should he so fall so he created contest for all those who deemed themselves worthy amongst his ranks. They would train as warriors and be pitted against each other in the sands of the arena like gladiators. Each fight continuing until one had fallen securing the other as champion and true member of his pack. But then something happened...
Romulus had fallen ill of life and with his weaken state growing... Twins had been born of his lineage. They became a token of his esteem and when they were of turning age, Romulus had fallen and Lupus De Luna was in need of a new alpha. The brothers had been pitted against each other until one remained victorious and thus became their ways.
Many centuries would pass and Lupus De Luna continued on as a great force to be reckoned with amongst werewolves. They were kings to all other packs and ranks many desired to join. Cassius now stood as alpha with his red eyes as his badge and last name Moon as his kingly title. Though times fell hard upon him when his eldest and most beloved daughter had been robbed of him by humans seeking to cast werewolves and vampires from their walls only to ignite night a war of bloodshed and hardship. New twins had been born to his pack signalling him towards his end though Cassius fought on like the Roman soldier he was until he was struck down just as the twins had become of turning age.
