For anyone wondering about familiars, the Harry Potter wikia has a page under the title of "Magical Familiars" that gives a short explanation.
It's best if kept to a cat, toad, or owl, but if you clear a non-magical, non-rare animal that's not one of those with me, I'll allow it.

To everyone else;
I'll have the beginning event's explanation up by tomorrow morning, but for now content yourself with the Quidditch and Positions thread, and if enough people are interested, I can start a relationships thread as well.
A few characters are accepted and a few more are coming in, but we've still got quite a few roles and definitely have room for more people, so if you know anyone who might be interested don't hesitate to invite them.
If anyone has further questions or queries, please do ask, thank you for the amount of work which has gone into this from all of you so far. I'm looking forward to starting and roleplaying with you all.

Jasmine Villegas isn't mixed race black and white, as the character should be. I find it rather offensive to toss all minorities in together and assume a latina can play a black/mixed race character; Roxanne Weasley is the daughter of George Weasley and Angelina Weasley (nee Johnson), making her Louis' cousin, yes, as their fathers are brothers, but his mother was black.
So no, you may not use Jasmine Villegas for Roxanne, but if you can find a black or mixed race actress you'd like to switch into that's entirely alright.

You may always create your own witch with the faceclaim of Jasmine Villegas if you wish. She just doesn't fit with Roxanne Weasley and I despise whitewashing characters.
