Melody walked through the hallways of Harris High School, trying to find her two friends. It amazed her how they had almost all the same classes, but it was a good thing. She went to her locker and got al her books for the first three periods, and put her backpack in her locker. She closed it and made her way down the hall toward her Math class.

Riley was already sitting at a desk in the back, carving some sort of symbol into the desk. She looked distracted, and blank, as always. But when she saw Melody come in, she smiled - well, it was really more a smirk- and waved her over.

Seeing Riley was already in class, Melody walked over and sat beside her, "Whats up?" She asked as she took out her Math binder and started doing the problums that where to be done for the day. Really she didn't have to start yet, but she liked to get an early start.

Riley just sighed. "The spirits are restless. They talk of an upcoming battle." She grimaced a little. Spirits were never specific enough.

"A battle? Maybe a war between two countrys?" She asked not expecting an answer. When she was done with her work it was half way through math class and she had the rest for free time. She took out a sketch book and began drawing out a blue bird.

Riley watched over Melody's shoulder as she drew, absently doodling in her own notebook, where she herself hadn't done any work. As the teacher passed, she covered her defaced notebook with one arm and stared at the board in false concentration.
When the teacher moved on, she resumed watching Melody.
"That's nice." She noted.

Melody gave a smile, "Not as good as the ones in my room, you know the ones taped on my wall over my desk." She said as she continued to sketch.

Tavon smiled sitting in his class in his human form of course he hadn't got the chance to bully Melody yet right now would be a perfect chance.He smiled seeing the teacher pass he smiled he made a paper ball and tossed it at Melody when the teacher wasn't looking.

Melody glared back at Tavon then turned back to Riley, "Hey wanna come over tonight for a sleep over?"

"There's something strange about that boy." Riley murmered, looking back at Tavon as well.
"Of course." She answered Melody.

"Cool." Melody said smiling. She went through all of her boring classes. She already knew all of it so thats what makes it boring. Amazingly, she was one of the most popular girls in school, but she was also one of the smartest. Once the last bell of the day rang she went to her locker and waited outside for Riley so they could drive to her own house together.

Riley came outside a bit later than usual. "Sorry, hope you didn't have to wait too long."

"Nah it's fine." She said and walked to her car. She threw her bag in the back seat and got into the drivers side, waiting for Riley to get in.

Riley tossed her bag in as well, and it thumped loudly. She grimaced, wondering why her bag was always twice as heavy as it should be based on what was in it. Then she got in the passenger seat beside Melody.

"Okay, lets go." Melody said and drove off. When they got to her house she opened the door and saw her parents weren't home. A little white fluff ball darted up to Melody. She laughed and picked the kitten up, "Hey Cici."
