Caleb soundlessly followed her, keeping a watchful eye on her, 'I can't turn away from you for one second...' he thought remembering what she just asked him he thought about it for a moment and simply put it, "I don't know what pain you're talking about..." he was looking away from her now, not wanting to meet her tearful gaze.

"Then look at me. I have nothing to hide and it's hard for you to hide anything from me. Considering the fact that you didn't let me die."

This was said in a low voice and with no anger at all. It was only tender compassion and hurt in her voice.

"All I wanted to know was said back there. Nothing else. I have no desire to interfere with your life. None at all."

She walked off slowly. Not wanting to move anymore she slid to the ground.

Caleb glanced at her, which was a mistake he regretted. he opened his mouth to answer but decided not to. He wasn't about to pour his fears out to some stranger. "Forget it girl..." he said, his deep tone annoyed and untrusting. He never told anyone of his fears and he wasn't about to now.

She stood and continued to walk. This time as she turned she said her last line.

"The truth will bubble over the surface and spill like over heated water."

"That's what you think...You're not apart of me damn it!" he said, his voice low and irratable. He glanced away from her as she walked off. 'I just want to leave from here...why can't I be like normal? Go back to school with Mizzi...like before...' he thought as he frowned thinking back of what his father told him.

"Oh son you're strong, cool and smart, you're gonna have fun!" he said cheerfully as he patted Caleb on the back.

"SO much for that theory..." he mumbled as he idly walked back to the school. "See ya, I'm out..." he entered his room and collapsed on the bed. Feeling tired, but he couldn't sleep.

"Welcome back Night wanderer..." Kenji said, still absorbed in his magazine.
"Shut up..." Caleb muttured, he closed his eyes.
"You miss her already? Damn!"
"So what? I miss her everytime I not near her...damn it I can't stand not being with her...it's like torture..." Caleb said as he opened his eyes and turned his head to look at Kenji from across the room. "Like you and your porno..."

"Yeah, I'd die..." Kenji laughed.
"Uh huh...that's how I feel, I can't resist her scent, her touch, it's intoxicating..."
"I can tell, you're stuck to her like glue."
"That's fucked up!"
"I agree, and it's been at least 20 minutes since you were gawking at that one pictuer of the girl, turn the freaking page already!" Caleb said.
"What, how'd you-whatever dude...it's my obsession not yours..."
"Nyeeeeee..........." Caleb muttered turning his attention back at the cieling. He sighed then sank into light sleep.

Yukiko finally decided to go to her dorm. The sun was threatening to rise. Waling into her room she collapsed on what had to be her bed. All of her pooh-bear sheets and curtains were already here. Some one was in the other bed and snored so loud. But it didn't bother her yukiko was knocked out before she knew it. When she woke up it was early night and her roomate was staring at her.

"AHHHH!!!!!! What in the world are you doing??!?!!?!?!? OMG can I get some breathing room please?"

Yukiko sat up and slipped out of bed.

"Opps!! Sorry I wasn't sure if you were dead. Because I smelled blood and when a fledgling dies it usually bleeds. But your face doesn't have any blood streaks so I tried getting a pulse but I forgot we don't really have one of those anymore. Heehee!"

"Huh, blood??? OMG my cycle ughhh!! I hate school here does anything stay private."

Grabbing her toiletries she went into the bathroom and showered. That's what she needed. The last time she seen a tub was when, in her parents eyes anyway, she died. Ironic ain't it. Coming out the shower she apologized about the outburst.

"Sorry, about that. I'm just stressed that's all. By the way my name's Yukiko, yours?"

"Oh I don't have one. Haven't you heard we can keep our names or we can change them. I'm changing mine but for the time being I'm just Red-head."

"Okay....Well Red-head it will be a pleasure to be your roommate. But right now I'm starved, they got anything to eat here?"

"Yup come on, I'll show you around while were at it."

From there Yuki's day well night was started. Maybe all she needed was some sleep or not to be around him.

Caleb sat still in the lunch room on the lunch table thing. So still you would've thought of him as a statue, because he was part vampyre, they had that special quality of being able to sit so still that they'd almost disappear. His eyes were on the walls of the lunch room, following the jagged lines of the cracks on the wall, so many of them you'd think you were staring at a route map of the region.

"I wonder if this school is centuried old..." Caleb mumbled, his lips moving so fast any one trying to eaves drop would only catch some or nothing of what he was saying. Kenji, who sat beside him only muttured his guess.
"Yeah prolly, old." he said, inbetween bites of his lunch.
Caleb brought his attention away from the walls, his eyes shifting to see a red head walking with Yukiko. A small grin crept on his face as he caught sight of them.
"Look at Erin, I guess she's Yuki's new room mate..." Caleb said.
"I think she's hot..." Kenji said, swallowing his spagetti, he took a swig of fruit punch from a cup. Girls sitting around them were chatting and some were gossiping.

"Can you believe the name Jane picked?" blond haired Leiko asked her bff Rika.
"Well, we're not phycics to know that," Rika said.
Caleb smiled as her thought pored itself into his mind, he couldn't help it.

"Freya Monroe, that is like 20 points off her rep" Leiko said laughing.
"Wow poor girl, trying to be something she's not," Rika agreed.
"Yeah ditto oneechan," he sister Riku added, they all eyed her as she shyly walked along side the pink haired exuberant Sakura who was showing her the place.

"He's my best friend Caleb, well more like my oniichan to me..." Sakura said introducing him as she hesitated besides him at the lunch table. Since he was sitting at the far end all he had to do was glance up at the pink haired cutie.
"'Sup imoto? Nice to meet you Freya," Caleb said giving her a friendly smile.
"Um how'd you know my name without me telling you-" Freya began but was cut off by Sakura.
"That's Kenji over therr, he can ba an ass sometimes but he's good...deep deep deep deep-"
"We get it Sakura go somewhere!" KEnji said, his voice heavy with annoyance.
Sakur asmiled happily to comply as she spun around and walked off with Freya, going somewhere else.
"Stupid girl..." Kenji muttured as he stuck a fork into his plate.
Caleb let go a held breath sighing. "You like her though...even if she is stupid," he said, looking at him now.
"I do not," Kenji said, frowing at his food.
"Yeah you do...I read your mind. You dream about her...such childish fantasies..." Caleb continued mocking him.
"Shut up, like you don't do that with Mizuki..." Kenji glared at him. Caleb shrugged indifferently.

"Yes, I always think of ma belle, I told you that...thinking of ma belle I'm going to see her now...peae out," Caleb said as he stood up and walked off.
"Later dude, see you at the dorm," Kenji said waving at him as he left.

Yuki shot Caleb a glare and a mental message "STOP THINING ABOUT ME!!!! THINK ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE!!!" right before he walked out. In his such grace and poise he almost looked like a girl. Mentally she took down notes to dig in to his past. Just to find anything embarrasing. You know to use against him in revenge. Ballet lessons would be good (LOL).
"Jerk," Yukiko said.
"Who?" Erin asked confused about who she was talking to.
"Unfortunately my first flippant friend here, Red." She rolled her eyes and averted her attention back to Erin. "So what are we supposed to do here? I'm kinda in the mood for a nap"
"What?!!?!?!?!?!? YOu just got up like and hour ago."Erin scratched her head in pure confusion now.
"Well there are some thoughts I'd like to avoid for a while."
"OMG You can read minds!! SO cool---" Yuki cut her off.
"Only if...I drink your blood."
"Well bite me I could talk with you in class and the teacher wouldn't even know."
"Not that simple hon. I get everything like you put your life in front of me on a silver platter" Yuki sighed, "I get feeling, thoughts, emotions, past, future (if the bond is that strong), etc.. So your just an open book turning the pages yourself for me to read."
"Woah can I be you for a day. I got some minds I wanna tap." Erin raised a fist defensively in the "popular girls" table.
"Calm down tiger. You don't want this. Call it this if the person your connected to is anorexic you are to. Now do you want that?"
"Yuck, which one?"
"All of them. You don't need a bond to tell that. Look from here I can count her ribs through her sewater." Yuki and Erin laughed. IT was great to lighten the mood. Sonner than she thought Caleb was a distant memory, at least until later.

CALEB WAS UP on the roof of the school now, he felt the night breeze sweep thought him. He thought of what Yukiko was thinking and actually agreed with her. Maybe it would be best if she just went somewhere.
"Or maybe I have to be the one to leave..." he said as he jumped. Unfurling his wings he was swooped up into the air. He surged upwards towards his next and favorite destination.
"Ma belle I'm coming for you..." he muttured as he worked his powerful dark wings gaining speed in his flight.

~Mizuki's House~

SHE LAY AWAKE in bed, her mind in idle mode as she thought of her day. All the events that took place today. She even thought of the boy who had the hots for her. How he wanted to go out with her on friday. She told him no and felt bad for it. She suddenly felt something slid besides her. Caleb

Yuki slipped away from the crowd for a little. Hurling on her new aquaintances wouldn't be cool. Totally uncool (LOL). In the bathroom now flashes of brown hair were in her vision. Hands large as her fathers stroked through it. "CALEB!!!!!!!" Yuki screamed. Soon she thought she might smell them. How ironic at that time the smell of cherry blossoms flew in.

"What I wasn't wearing perfume today?__? Oh I know what this is. That darn girl. Got damn him how selfish can he be. CALEB!!!!!! Jeez you are such a jerk."

The bathroom door swung open at the sound of someone calling Caleb. Leiko and her posse winded in. Yukiko only caught few glimpses of them glaring at her as she left hastily. She slid into her seat next to Erin. Hopefully she closed her eyes. That did no good her sightings were a movie now. How annoying.

Freya walked away from the lunch line, already having her tray in hand, her long black hair seemed to shine underneath the bright lights. Her red crescent moon on her forehead hidden underneath black poker straight bands. She noticed Yukiko sitting next to Erin and decided to join them. Sliding her tray she sat next to Erin.
"May I please join you?" she asked kindly, her voice sounding light and airy.

Yukiko was ready to explode she wanted no extra company at the time. Thankfully Erin spoke up.

"Sure slide on it in," Erin said.

"Yeah join in," another said.

Yuki sat there but, couldn't no longer. She stood abruptly turned and left. The movement nearly robotic. She left quickly and made sure not to bump anyone. Contact might really kill her mood even more.

"Woah what's with her?" a red-head asked.

"Nothing just a little problem with a new friend is what she told me." Erin continued talking occasionally joining Freya in.

~~Erin~~ saw Yukiko returning back to her seat , looking at her she said,
"Speaking of weirdness I'm half Neko..."
Her neko ears twitched underneath her purple printed skull knitted hat for emphases, she looked at Yukiko she then frowned in concern at Yukiko's sudden mood change..
"Caleb again huh? That's tough...dealing with two hearts at a time when we're only born to handle one..."she sighed and noticed the girl sit next to her. She only nodded telling her it was fine.

Caleb looked at Mizuki and felt at ease, for some reason he always felt calm with her. He cuddled with Mizuki and stayed there until she fell asleep, he then soundlessly slipped out the window and quickly made it back to school before the lunch time was over.

"Caleb can you please help me?" Eira asked as she quickly approached him down the hall. She looked very afraid and on the verge to tears. She linked arms with him and dragged him off to their dorm room.

"What happ-" Caleb began but was cut off at what his eyes registered in front of him. Eira's room mate was laying in a fetla positon on the floor, blood trickled out of her mouth as she let out a terrible cough.
"She's going to die Caleb...we need Neferet!" Eira said in tears. She let him go and stepped aside to give him space. He commenced to helping her in anyway he could.

"I don't feel any pain...I thought that when your body rejects the change you feel pain..." the girl said. Her eyes fluttered open.

"It's OK Mánadís, I won't let anything happen to you..." Caleb said.

She rolled onto her back as frustration took over her body. It wasd point less to get answers until he spoke back. For now she waited for the voice to get on her nerves.

CALEB FELT AN odd sensation, like someone was messing with his head. He blinked and shook it off, knowing exactly who was causing this.
Yukiko get out of my head...you're giving me a headache and I'm kinda bussy now... he thought as he helped Mánadís to the bathoom where she vomited the pudding and other disgusting stuff. He helped cleanse her body by using some magic that he knows of.

"OMG I feel better thanks Caleb!" Mánadís said smiling at him.
"OMG you're better!" Eira said as she glomped her best buddy. They giggled.

"OK um, I'm going to find out who poisoned your pudding...Later..." Caleb said as he exited the dorm room.

"Caleb you know the girl's dorm is off limits," Neferets tone was clea and angy sounding.
"I know that, Ms Neferet, but I had to help a student who was ill...don't worry she is fine now. Appaently someone poisoned her 'pudding' and if I hadn't intervened it would've killed her," Caleb said.

"Oh and do you know who did this?" Neferet asked, looking at him with a gentile 'motherly look. Caleb saw right through it but said nothing about it.

"No I'm going to investigate now...then I'll inform you about my findings, if you'll excuse me I have to go now," with that being said Caleb left, too fast.

"Welcome back homey!" Kenji said looking up from the tv sceen, he was watching a rerun of That 70's Show.

"Someone tried to kill Mánadís with poison, I'm going to go somewhere..." Caleb opened the door to leave.
"What are you going to do? Read everone's mind in hope of finding the prick thinking about it?" Kenji asked looking at him as he slipped out the door.
"Yup, you see right through me..." Caleb answered as he walked down the hall.
"No, you're just too predictable..." Kenji mumured, turning back to the tv.

So, Yuki what did you want to talk about? Caleb thought as he walked by a couple making out in the halls. He hesitated and listened to thier thoughts.

"Useless..." Caleb hissed irritatedly as he walked away from the scene. He then continued his way to the lunch oom and found himself facing Erin.

"Hey Caleb..." Erin said she noticed the angry look on his face.
He sighed and took a breath calming himself.
"Hey, you shouldn't change you name," Caleb told her.
"Um OK, why?"
"Because I like it the way it is...I have to go..." he walked pass her and sat down at an empty table. Listenting to eveyone's thoughts. Everyone babbled on about stuff, some were thinking gossip etc etc...

As Yukiko flopped onto her bed blood filtered out of her sight. She heard the anoyance in Caleb's voice/ mind thingy. All Yuki wanted was to know why she was smelling and thinking about blood unwillingly.

"EXCUSE ME!!!! NOW IS IT MY FAULT YOU DIDN'T DROP ME LIKE I SAID TOO?!?! Well, I hope you get a migrane and no painkillers to be found. Anyway, all I wanted to know was why I was seeing blood getting naseated, and unable to eat because of it. "

She rolled back on her stomach the frustration leaving her body. Only now because she knew the blood wasn't his. It was only a matter of time until perverse thought ran through his head.

"Oh me, oh my. Haven't you found the perfect set to spy on. Is it anything like paperview. Ok ok ok scratch that back to business. So when will you let me raid your thoughts and past? Huh, macho man. Because you're nothing but a teddy bear when it comes to Mizuki. I think the name was. Yeah, Mizu you call her. I mean watching her sleep come on don't you find that type stalkerish. Alright, before you curse me out "it's none of my business and i should get out of your head...blah blah blah." And I would if your feeling weren't beating at my door with brick fists."

Yuki smiled to herself. She silently wished he could see it. Satisfied with her ranting and prying she stood and stretched.

"See, you in class Caleb. Bye-bye 'til then."

Yuki then disconnected them and went for a shower. All the tossing and turning she did just now left a sweaty sheen on her body. Now she really shut Caleb out who knows if this connection worked both ways.

Jeez you think too much, it'll give you a headache... Hahahahahaha! Anyways, I have to watch her sleep she's too cute! And she keeps asking me to be there...she's afraid someone might kidnap her like when she was little. Whatever I'm not stalking and it's none of your damn business! You should be thanking me for saving your life woman! Caleb rolled his eyes, a snicker coming across his face as he tuned her out of his mind and concentrated listening to everyone's thoughts. Listening to anything that would clue him on the culprit who tried to kill Mánadís.

He heard a thought...it was a girl who was thinking about the pudding, love, death & poison... He turned around to look at her walk pass him. She was walking alone, a worried look on her face.

Caleb got up and in a flash was walking right besides her, but he was so silent she didn't even notice his presence.

"Hey, Erika...come over here..." Caleb said calling out to her. She spun around startled.
"Oh-um hey Caleb what's up dude!?" she said.
"I know what you did last period...and I'm not plesed about it neither...you know you can get in so much trouble for trying to inflict injury or death to someone...?"

"What are you talking about?" she looked nervous.
"The pudding...ring a bell?"
"Oh shit you know? Fine yes I wanted to kill her..." she admited, tears coming to her eyes.
Caleb looked around and took her by the arm and dragged her off to the secluded part of the hall. Where no one whould see them talking.
"Why?" he asked looking at her seriously.
"Because I lover her and she doesn't love me...she likes that stupid boy..."
"What boy?"
"Kenji!"
"Oh...um...still that doesn't give you any reason to ry and poison her!"
"If I can't have her no one can!"
"Did you tell her this?"
she nodded solemnly. "Will you rat me out on Neferet?"
"I have to-"
"I'll never do it again! I swear!"
"Yeah but-"
"Please I'm begging you!" she screeched clinging on to her chest, her fingers clawing at his shirt, her face wet with tears.
"I'm sorry I hurt her but I was so angry and I didn't mean to and-hiccup- I love her...I just wanted to be happy with her..." Erika cried. Her sobs became uncontrollable hyperventilation.

Caleb gripped her upper arms pulling her off him.
"Stop it!" he said looking dead at her. She looked back at him..............

Yukiko got out the shower and heard screaming.

"What in the hell Caleb!! Can't you stay out of trouble long enough for me to take a shower. Sheesh. Shit tell her to shut up she's a headache waiting to happen. And I thought Leiko was bad. GOT DAMN!! Eww, I smell salt is she crying? You really are mean."

Yukiko assumed this was a girl that was for some ungodly reason in love with Calb. And well typically turned her down. A usual tactic just like Leiko. She got dress and left to meet him. She saw where he was. The same hall she was brought in through. Not far from her dorm. Leaving Erin a note she left to meet him and to bloody crying girl. Within minutes Yuki was behind Caleb and the girl. Ugh!! If she didn't stop that bloody noise Yuki was gonna kill.

"Well hoe the hell do we do today people. Everything all right?"
