Oh my various gods...I...I want this. So badly.

Any estimates on when it'll be up and running?

This seems really interesting and I have wanted to try DnD as an online thing before. So if possible I would like to join up.

Smith: This is going to be running very shortly. Keep in mind it is a playtest only of the new system. I'll be running it live only (basically chat only). It should be, roughly, a six part adventure. If you are in a timezone that is friendly with EST; then you might be able to join. Can you tell me what tabletop role play experience you've had (online or off)?

The Shadow: It should be, if I do not find players with enough experience, consider yourself the first non experienced player I'll invite. I'll send you a private message if so!

Wootwoot! I am in an EST-zone!

Experience...well, I got in to DnD a few years ago, but only playeda little bit of 3e before it was overshadowed by 4e. Sooo, I'm much more accustomed to 4e's simplified classes and mechanics. I've played about...10 full-length(about 10-15 3-5 hour sit-downs depending...) campaigns? The rest were mini encounters at comic shops with random people ^^; it's kind of hilarious watching people build godawful PC's and the DM purposely not swarming them just so they have a chance.

Hm..OH! I've also got all of the core rulebooks, the "powers"(martial, divine, psionic, primal) expansion books, the "Heroes of" and essentials books, and I use my buddy's subscription to DnD insider/Dungeon/Dragon magazine, so I have ALL of those awesome new class powers and feats.

Plus, I'd love to play any role. I love Strikers, Defenders, Controllers, and Leaders especially. My first PC was a cleric, and having the power to save everyone from ruin with a single spell is epic. To me, at least.

Need anything else?

Actually, yes, but we'll get to that. Consider yourself invite! Having 4e experience is a very good thing. This system seems to draw on the best of all editions; and improving on some of the foundation left by 4e. I'll be posting times to play once we can all agree on them.

There are four pre-made characters left, choose one and let me know.

As for times of the week, what works for you? It will most likely take place some time after 7pm EST on any day.

Human Cleric, heckz yeah!

And days...well...um. Any day, I suppose? I'm flexible~

And...the character look almost identical to 4e ones, just ALOT more complex in terms of flavor powers/abilities...to me, at least.

xD It ends up being way less complex once we get down to it. But, it's tough to learn from at the moment because of it being in the testing phase. But, consider that cleric yours! I'll update it. Go ahead and post a character profile for it; give it a name and all that jazz and I'll keep you updated ^^.

Blargh. It's weird creating just the history and appearance and stuff. I yearn to roll dice and let my hair flow in the breeze see random numbers.

But awesome! I also see they're bringing back hit dice...oh joy.

I hear ya. Unfortunately going through all of that online would be more of a hassle than I can handle at the moment. Perhaps in the future; after this playtest is done!

I made a note to keep things Neutral Good or higher, other than that; Name, Description is all that is required; more if you want ^^.

I am in a currently active DnD group offline. I was thinking of making a human freelance cleric for it who simply asked for help from any god/goddess in return for whatever they wanted (They'd have to bargain and haggle and stuff) though interestly enough I was considering making him an atheist.

Still I'm never really sure what I want to RP as exactly, I get an idea for a character and then find out that they aren't as good as I thought they might be.

The Shadow, if you want then; pick up one of the remaining characters and let me know which one it is.

As long as you're available after 7pm EST!

Just give that character name and a description ^^.

It is perfectly fine, I believe yer the first to actually submit a character; kudos as well! I didn't expect so much for a playtest, enjoyable ^^. I'm keeping you in close contact for any future online adventures I run as well!
