Cloud laughed with her.

"Well you better get used to it."

everyone was in the hall, and were already seated. it was at this time the waiters started to serve the food to everyone. though on the menu they had either steak of chicken, Cloud had worked with the waiters for a cute suprise. he had them bring out what they had their first time they wen out together. Denver Omelet and some hashbrowns with onions and cheese for Phoenix and Blueberry pancakes, bacon on hasbrowns for Cloud. to drink Pink lemonade for Cloud and Orange Juice for Phoenix.

Phoenix nodded, "I had better." She said with a smile, shaking her head. "Though I'm sure I will.." She stopped when she saw the food that was put in front of them. She laughed at the surprise, leaning over to kiss Cloud's cheek. "You have an amazing memory." She said, shaking her head. "Thank you." She whispered in his ear so only he could hear.

he smiled a she kissed his cheek. he wanted to do it to make her feel special, like a kid again. though the two that sat next to them looked at the food in confusion. he may explain to them sometime...mabye. leaning over he kissed her cheek,

"Your Welcome"

he said for her to hear. he then began to dig into his food, he hadnt eaten all day, his stomache begged for the food to come down.

Phoenix smiled, digging in as well. She hadn't eaten since lunch the day before, wanting to be able to fit in her dress. She could tell that the others were confused, but she liked having something that they had as almost a private joke. She smiled to herself as she ate, looking around. She could tell that some of the other angels looked a little weary of so many being in the same spot but it was nice to see them all together.

Cloud was enjoing the food, having fun talking with Ares and some of the others that were near him. everyone was having fun, though he could feel the hint of uneasiness with the group. Ares stood up, getting everyone attention. Cloud already started to blush by the embarsing things he would say. it would seem like he would have to wait.

An explosion happened at the far wall away from them. their decroations were destroyed, the beauty gone. The humans that were in the room, fled the area. Demons came flying into the hall. The angels took into the air, or as high as they could in the room. Cloud stood up ready to fight, but Ares grabbed his Arm.

"No you get yourself and Phoenix out of here."

Cloud knew he was right. grabbing Phoenix by her hand he dragged her out of there. Alli looked at Ares and followed the newlyweds. Once they were outside of the place, the limo was waiting for them in case something like this happened. He opened the door, letting Phoenix and Alli in. when they both were in the car, Cloud would climb in, closing the door. the driver was to take them to their house, which was only known to Cloud, Phoenix, Alli, Ares, the driver, And God. the limo took off, Screeching.

Phoenix was also enjoying the food, but at a slow pace, and was talking at Alli, since she barely knew any of the others. She was greatly looking forward to the dancing that was to come, she hadn't danced with Cloud more than once, but she'd had fun doing it that one time. She smiled and looked away when Ares was about to start his speech.

But, then there was a loud explosion, making Phoenix's head snap up and look. Her beautiful wedding decorations! She could only guess who it was. And then she was proven right when demons flew into the hall.

Suddenly her hand was taken by Clouds and they were rushed out of there and into the limo with Alli. She looked at her husband. "Is everyone going to be okay?" She asked.

The car drove drove down the road, speeding. he looked at his wife and hugged her.

"Yes with Ares there they will be fine."

he said. he looked out the windows making sure none of the demons were following them. they wouldnt be out of the woods until they got to the house. even then there would still be a chance that they could be found.

The car pulled into a driveway and stopped. Cloud started to get out of the car, but Alli pulled him back. she got out of first and went into the house, making sure it was safe. she came back out and gave them a thumbs up. Cloud got out of the car, holding out his hand for his wife.

Phoenix held onto Cloud the entire ride. She was worried about Ares and everyone that had been there, but was glad that Cloud and Alli had left instead of staying. She just wished that no one had to get hurt.

When they got to the house, Phoenix looked out the window as Alli went to check, and then held Cloud's hand the entire time, making sure that everything around them was normal, though she knew that her husband would be able to tell before her.

hand in hand he walked her inside the house. it was a small two story house, 3 bedrooms, and two bath. it was already furinshed. Alli was already in the kitchen getting some wine to calm everyones nerves. Cloud walked over to the couch and sat down, smiling at his wife. though they were walking hand in hand, if she did not want to sit down, he was not going to make her.

Phoenix walked with Cloud, gladly holding his hand, his very grasp making her feel safe. She always loved that he would hold her hand and that would calm her down immensely. Phoenix sat down only a few second after he did and curled her legs on his lap as she laid her head on his shoulder. She was still very worried about it all, but didn't know if she should say it or not. Instead, she just remained close to her husband, her eyes closed as she prayed for the angels that were fighting.

he smiled as he wrapped his arm aroud her shoulder's as she rested on his shoulded. his other handed stroked one of her legs she had curled on his lap. he started to worry a little himself. he wondered if the demons had a purpose for the attack besids the fact that so many were there. he would find out when he could, right now he had to keep his wife safe.

Alli walked back into the room, three glasses of wine in her hands. she set two of them down the table in front of Cloud and Phoenix. she took hers and sat in the chair next to them. she was worried as well. they had not heard or seen them in for so long, why are they attacking now? what did they want?

Phoenix opened her eyes and looked at the glasses of wine. She reached forward for one, handing it to Cloud, before going back to snuggling close to him. She wasn't in a drinking mood just yet, instead she just wanted to know what was going on. She didn't know if she should talk, ask why they had attacked the wedding, but that would just cause people to worry about more than just their friends, and it was the angels that needed all of the thoughts.

he smiled and took the glass from Phoenix. he finshed the it in one gulp. he sat the glass back down on the table, and went back to cuddling with his wife. he looked at Alli.

"Do you have any idea?"

She shook her head. it was a mesetry to the both of them. he hated this, he wanted to be there fighting alongside them. he knew Ares could handle it, but he still couldnt help the feeling as if something was a little off.

Phoenix opened her eyes again to look at the two. She didn't want to hold them back just because she was a human, so she moved back. Quietly telling him that he could go if he wanted. She grabbed her wine and took a quick sip, before looking at them. "You know, you don't have to stay here. If you guys want to help your friends, go. I will be fine." She assured them.

((this took me all day to figure out how Cloud would respond))

Cloud didnt want to leave her, He loved her to much to do that, but she was right he had to be there for everyone. He Kissed his wife pastiontly and whispered,

"I Love You."

He said as he got up. he looked at Alli who was about to get up, but he shook his head. though he trusted nothing would happen here he did not want to take that chance. he ran out the house, and when he had the the room, his changed into his Angel form and took to the air, making his way to the reception hall.

it took him no time getting there. when he entered there were only Ares and a few others, surronded by demons. He drew his sword and charged, taking the demons by suprised. Seeing Cloud inspired Ares and the others, seeing their General there. the fought back with all they had, thaking the demons head on. Cloud wasted no time, he wanted to end this and get back home as soon as he could.

Minutes later whatever demons that were left fleed. Cloud did not chase them down. he looked at the scene around them, so many were gone. how could this of happened. Ares came and stood beside him.

"The devil showed up. God came and distracte him and got him away from here. but it was to late we already lost so many."

Ares was one to never show sadness, but it was then for the first time that Cloud saw a tear come from his eye.

Phoenix kissed him back and watched him go, praying that he would be alright. There was nothing in the world that she loved more than Cloud, and if something happened to him, she didn't know what she would do. But, she couldn't hold him back because that just wouldn't be him to just stand back and let his friends and loved ones get hurt. And that was something that she loved so much about him. If ever someone needed him, he would help.

She finished her glass of wine quickly, trying to keep her worry in check, but she couldn't. She went into the kitchen without a word and refilled her glass, leaning against the counter with her head in her hands.

a few tears came to his eyes, and as much as he tried to hold them back, it only seemed to make more come.

All watched as Phoenix finsihed the wine in only a few second. she could only guess how worried and scared she might be. she took a sip of her wine as Phoenix stood up and walked into the kitchen. she followed her, knowing she could use someone. walking into the kitchen she rubbed Phoenix's back as she leaned against the counter, her face in her hands.

Cloud wondered what else they could do, they took care of what they could do, and god was the only one who could take on the devil. he hated when he couldnt help. He looked at Ares and put his hand on his shoulder.

"come on"

Cloud said as he walked out of the destroyed place.

Phoenix felt Alli rubbing her back and looked back at her. "Just a little worried." She confessed, though it was an understatement. She was really worried. What if they got hurt? Any of them. She had always been too afraid to ask what happened hen an angel died. But it couldn't be good. "I'm going to get changed." She said. "I'm not in a very.. Cheery mood anymore." She told her friend before heading up the stairs to change her clothes, her mood obviously melancholy.

the flight home was a long quiet one. no one spoke the whole way, all to in shock about what just happened. he wondered hos Phoenix would take the news, she cared for them so much. Cloud did not want to break the news to them, though he wouldnt have to say a word to let her know what happened.

they landed in front of the house, back into their human forms. when they entered the house they found Alli back in her chair, a glass of wine in her hand. when she saw them come thought the door she jumped up and ran to them hugging each one all while tears flooded from her eyes.

"Where is she?"

Alli pointed to the stairs. Cloud walked up the stairs, heading to the room. he entered the room, catching his wife as she was changing. a blushe managed to find its way past the sadness that envolped his face.

Phoenix was changing into a pair of jeans and one of Cloud's shirts when he came in. She finished slipping the shirt over her head and rushed to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding him tightly for a few minutes. Finally, when she was sure that he was alright, she pulled back to ask how everyone was. Just the look on his face told her.

"Oh, Cloud." She said, biting her lower lip. "How many?" She asked, trying to hold back tears because he would need her strong. He was much closer to them than she would ever be, so she would be the rock.
