Re: Help A Brotha' Out

What, specifically, are your problems with your posts when you aren't really satisfied with them? What do you think could be improved? Unfortunately, the writer is his own worst critic, which includes his inability to look at his own work as be as thoroughly impressed with it as other people; but th...

Re: How religious are people on RPGateway?

I'm Atheist as far as my theistic alliance; I do not believe in a higher power whatsoever, in the 'conscious, judging' sort of sense. I could accept a permeating, all-encompassing energy like chi, however. My religious affiliation is Taoist, which does not inherently believe or disbelieve in a deity...

Re: The things we feed our pets...

I prefer to feed my dog like my family: meat from a butcher shop and garden vegetables. I believe animals live longer and healthier on food that isn't processed, which includes bagged dog food that usually uses parts of meat that are unsuitable for human consumption. If I do buy bagged dog food, I b...

Re: What do you do out side RPG?

Take care of my daughter
Take care of my man
File and copy paperwork for my in law's shipping company, like a secretary
Chores and errands for the in laws who are away a lot
Read
Play with my two obnoxiously lovable dogs

And that's pretty much the usual.

Re: I'm New on Here and I'm Kinda Young and Need Some Help

I see you didn't respond to the Mentor offer for help yet, so I wanted to make sure you know that we're here to help you. If you feel wary about messaging one of us for personal help, then we will be glad to message you or arrange an IM in another program to further assist you in real-time. Age is j...

Re: Hey, I'm dante

Seems like a pretty downtrodden introduction. However, you share the same feelings as a lot of writers; writing is frequently a way to cope with loneliness by creating the illusion of company. RoleplayGateway is filled with writers who share your sentiments and with whom you may find something in co...

Re: I'd love some help.

If you need any other help that doesn't involve Star Wars (I know nothing about it), such as the mechanics of actual roleplaying in this system, then let me know and I would also be happy to oblige. :)

Re: [OOC] Without Absolution

Also, I intend on updating the introduction to include an idea I wasn't sure in the beginning I wanted to add or not. It will involve a treasure at the center of the labyrinth and it will help centralize the plot on a specific object for conflict. :)

Re: [OOC] Without Absolution

Sorry about the extended absence everyone. A lot of real life shit has been going on--- including me being in the middle of a move to Michigan. I'm staying with my mother for a few weeks until everything gets settled in. She has dialup and a really crappy computer, so it's VERY hard for me to log on...

Re: Help for the homeless: What do you think?

There seems to be a disregard of the possibility I have a personal perspective on homelessness as well. My fiance was homeless legitimately for quite a while and was still technically homeless when we started dating. His father dropped him off at a shelter and said good luck. He slept under a childr...

Re: Help for the homeless: What do you think?

Homelessness is something that will only be helped by a better economy. You might help some homeless people with charity, but most of the ones I've seen are homeless because of problems. Drugs, especially alcohol, general immaturity and irresponsibility, et cetera. They did an experiment where they ...

Re: Net Neutrality: Let's fight for it!

The FCC is actually one of the many defending net neutrality. Getting rid of the FCC could actually doom the internet to censorship, ironically.

Re: Net Neutrality: Let's fight for it!

More or less, big companies that provide internet, like Comcast specifically, want to 'control the internet', including what information can be put and what can't. They want to make websites, say, like RPgateway, pay higher internet fees in order to run their sites and have them load more quickly. I...

Re: New here

You add new characters inside specific roleplays. If you enter them into the Multiverse, you can copy the character sheet repeatedly from a drop-down list instead of re-entering all of the information every time. Otherwise, welcome. Although I am confused--- this could have been posted in the Newcom...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

Okay, well, I can't be bothered to read EIGHTEEN pages, so here's what I'll say. [Btw, this is my OPINION, based off of FACT, and formed through LOGIC, If i get flamed I will leave the thread. Let's be civil.] 1. You couldn't have felt god. Because God isn't a physical thing... If god had uhm.. cam...

What would you do if you woke up in the body of a Navi from Avatar? :O

Re: Free Signatures (Personalized text available ;3)

Thus the "at least". The gist simply being that people seem to be crediting these thread starters with having a great idea, when it's commonplace on every single messageboard. Lol.

Re: [OOC] Without Absolution

Tenrai would use earth (dirt, sand, etc), because they heard the exclamation directing someone to not use water. Anyway, my finger is dislocated with fracturing. It's a little easier to type on now but not by much. I'm going to take the opportunity to work on some other projects momentarily and will...

Re: Free Signatures (Personalized text available ;3)

Just wanted to let you know that free sig threads have existed since like 2003, at least. ;P You didn't steal any ideas. I've run a few of them myself and will end up running one when I'm not super busy.
