Re: Mentors want YOUR help to help you.

Honestly? Just GM more, be more active. I know I'd be a hell of a lot more active if I could find good RP's run by skilled RPers, RP's that I could trust to maintain quality, because I could trust the GM to assure that it did. Hi. Hello there. I run those sorts of roleplays. That doesn't attract an...

Re: PM Question

Yes you can. You search for or type each person individually, but you can add more than one person.

Re: What makes you the most cross in RPs?

The thing that tends to annoy me most about role plays usually does not involve the role play itself. I get quickly tired of players for various reasons, usually closed mindedness. I used to go into chat and see seven or eight players bitching there wasn't any role play and not thinking to role play...

Re: Abortion.

I agree with that. They will be lenient if she's like. . . say. . . using a fake ID to get drinks at an over 18 venue all night, so of course he would assume she was over 18. In which case they'd probably have him testify against her to charge for using the fake ID and getting into an adult venue wh...

Re: Character Creation in Role Play

I'm going to write the article without the poll. I'm confident I will hit the target interest areas of ethnicity without a public poll. That being said, I will probably do it as soon as I'm finished tidying up my roleplay this weekend. ;)

Re: Character Creation in Role Play

Where should the poll be posted? It would get the most attention in Debate/Discussions, but that isn't for roleplay related material. Right here in RPA?

Re: Character Creation in Role Play

Keep in mind, frequently regional ethnicities have similar name structures. A lot of Asiatic countries, for instance, name their children similarly. Russian name structure isn't specific to Russia---it has commonalities with Japanese and other ethnicities people use. So when I compile the article, i...

Re: Character Creation in Role Play

As per usual I have to commend you on your article. Not simply the thoroughness which is appreciated, but the mere fact that this is how I view characterization in its entirety. I have several PC characters, all of whom have some sort of weakness with which they struggle. In fact. . . I am MORE fasc...

Re: Conflict in Role Play

This was very well written. I do have to insert my two cents, however rhetorical your questions may have been. The reason people fight at every little turn is because they don't know how to create dynamic conflict---- that is, when the plot itself doesn't involve enough interesting conflict (which d...

Re: Abortion.

If one party is drunk, and the other is not intoxicated to that point, and both engage in sex--- if the woman wakes up the next day and says 'He had sex with me while I was drunk and I'm not comfortable with that, I want him arrested'. . . guess what? It IS classified as rape. When someone drinks, t...

Re: Abortion.

The problem though is that if both parties are drunk, you have to show that the man was intoxicated enough to be forcefully out of control, but not drunk enough to pass out. With a woman, you only have to prove she was intoxicated at all. It's just easier for the legal system. But I do agree with you.

Re: Abortion.

I'm going to point out that it has nothing to do with commitment or being smart enough. There are a lot of cases of rape, drunken sex (which, by the way, counts as rape), incest (another form of rape), sabotage (i.e.: the man wanting a child, poking a hole in the condom or flat out not using one), b...

They ALWAYS get angry on that show! Especially people directly descended from or a part of that particular group and not just studiers of it.

Re: The Deadliest Warrior!: Debate and Discussion

Well. . . Vlad didn't just impale people. He was a highly strategic military leader that used terror and inhumane scare tactics as his army's engine. Like I said, his crime rate in his territory was zilch. He used to put a golden goblet on the public fountain for people to drink from, and in its ent...
