FoxHound is a High-Tech Special Forces Unit that specializing in solo covert infiltration missions. This unit specializes in black ops, carrying out top-secret operations within "unauthorized" combat zones which are too politically-sensitive to intervene in through conventional means. Each of FOXHOUND's members is a preternaturally skilled soldier, and the members of the unit have dabbled or even specialized in unusual subjects such as mysticism or psionics. Whether specialized or not, each of the members of FOXHOUND has a broad range of special forces and espionage training, and is capable of operating either on their own or together as a team, as appropriate.

The year is 2015, The President of the United States was on a hi-tech malitary base in Metallic Island to inspect the new Metal Gear that was completed recently, but then terrorists had taken hostage of the president and demanding a large sum of money in exchange for the presidents safe return. If the government does not coaporate with the terrorists demands, then the terrorists will launch a nuclear missle with Metal Gear. The terrorists have been former FOXHOUND members before, they call themselves "The Rough Riders", they are also experienced soldiers and to have supernatural abilities. "The Rough Riders" have thousands of soldiers recruited and ordered to guard the facility. It is known that "The Rough Riders" have nanotechnology, but the rest of the guards contact thru radio.

Metal Gear is one-man cockpit and thick near-impenetrable compound armor, its sensors are concentrated in a radome on the left side of its body, has a pair of 30 mm vulcan cannons, anti-tank missiles, and a free-electron laser, to protect itself from conventional forces. Its primary weapon, however, is a magnetic railgun capable of delivering an untraceable nuclear warhead anywhere in the world, without the propellant trail or launch flare that gives away the launch position of a traditional ballistic missile, the pilot of the metal gear need special training in order to operate it.

New members of FOXHOUND have been recently recruited and even though they have no experience in real-life combat situations, their skills as a soldier have been honed to the highest levels through VR(Virtual Reality) simulation training. These newly recruited soldiers are to have few weapons at the start of the mission and find the rest on site, so that the terrorists will find less evidence of U.S. government involvement and each given a code name for this mission so that they wont be identified by the enemy and are to cammunicate in codec frequency's thru nanotechnology (which means that only the person that you are talking to will be able to hear you and nobody else, its like communicating telipathicaly (sp?)),. Each FOXHOUND member is equipped with an exoskeleton, and excels in one particular field and each have one supernatural ability.

The FOXHOUND team have recently landed on the island and starting their mission....

I will need some ppl play the rough riders, but mostly concern having someone playing the main villain.

Oooh...a Metal Gear RP! Well it's about time.

As someone who has played all the games, I would love to be apart of this RP, and I must say that the role of the main villain is a very intriguing one...I love the villains that Kojima-san comes up with. What would you want of the person playing the villain?

THE HELL I AM SOOO JOINING THIS RP - Give me a while to come up with an awesome character sheet!

So I have been playing around with idea for a while -NanoTite system, well it's not something used throughout the VR force - but is a separate experiment, my characters first weapon is the outcome of that very project. Think Wolverine - the thing is, when she bleeds it'll be a metallic-like-liquid not blood - uhm I guess you can think of Raiden in the last installment of MGS4 where he had been infused with an artificial blood substitute.

BIO:His bio is classified and unknown to most of the higher-ups all they know is that he was once a high-paid assassin for a small group of rebels in the southern tip of Japan.

(hope this works i'll probably give bits and pieces of his bio in the rp I'm trying to make him like basically a ghost like Grey fox was.)

I have played all MGS titles on the PS1 to the most recent one MGS4 - which was epic yes... XD
and I aint got no problems with editing this chara - if you feel as though she's too strong or something - no worries I shall power her down!
And this character is influenced by Sniper Wolf as well as wolverine XD

Part of another project within the old system - Titanium precipitation hardening alloy (TPHA) which was bond with the Nano-machines used during the FoxDie era. They pierce through her skin forming whatever object she wants it to be... be it claws out of her knuckles or anything else she can imagine it to be - has the appearance of metal.

This rifle was designed in the early to mid 1990s by South African arms designer Tony Neophytou. Initial development was under the Aerotek name, and later the Mechem division of the DENEL Group, a major South African arms manufacturer, purchased all rights for this design. In the 1998 South African National Defense Forces adopted this weapon and began to purchase it in some numbers.

The NTW-20 is a long range anti-material rifle, developed to reach out across the wide plains of the South African landscape and to deliver substantial firepower in a relatively compact, two men portable package. It is available in two versions, 20 mm and 14.5 mm, and could be easily converted from one variant to another by simple replacement of the barrel, bolt, magazine and scope, which will take about 1 minute in field conditions.

These two versions had slightly different applications. The 20 mm version can deliver high explosive, fragmentation or incendiary shells with good accuracy, so a relatively 'soft' targets could be disabled by the blast/fragments. When the long range and armor penetration is an issue, the 14.5 mm version comes into the play. The NTW-20 offers significantly more terminal effectiveness than any .50 BMG rifle/round combination.

BIO:
She was born into a long reining military family mother an Asian agent for the government and her father a former Military Colonel, both her parents had been closely working together in combat and stealth missions - infiltrating enemy territory unnoticed but retrieving the needed data. I guess you can say that it is in her blood -as well as the Nano machines floating around within her. She had been a test subject to a yet still unstable form of NanoTite - Titanium precipitation hardening alloy (TPHA) program, though mostly reliable it hadn't caused her much trouble during missions. The effects of that mixture are still under heavy observation. Hence she herself is a walking test subject, she did agree to this though - accepting the consequences of this sort of testing. Being under surveillance constantly she tends to pass her time training her sharp shooting skills as well as her legs. She runs the 40 yards in just under 2.31 seconds - her speed has to be yet matched in that sense, but she is more proud of her shooting skills. CQC is mandatory and she has good knowledge in the field passed down from her father who was a former infiltration agent before becoming a Colonel. The shooting range and work out compound are her home - though her demeanor does give others the impression of her being somewhat of a man eater - this being a complete rumor though.

Suit: His suit is a newer custom version of the octo suit that can change to its environment even better than before. It can also take on the appearance of anyone it chooses allowing for the user to easily blend in with the enemy. The only problem with the suit is that it can only change the person's outside to look like the other and change there voice. not there mindset, or knowledge so the user must know a lot of the person they are copying for the suit to be used effectively. The suit is almost identical to the other Octo suit's but with a few new appearance changes like the smoother texture. The mask is constantly changing when not in use to many different people's faces and voices.
BIO: Gabriel was born into the not so loving Dipamon family. He was the third child in the family and was also thought to be the disgrace of the family. His older brother Chase and older Sister Jessica excelled at many different things. He however was never very good at much and was constantly put down and beat on by his older siblings and father. His parents hated each other always blaming the other one for there misfortune with him. He could hardly believe that he was himself and soon developed an identity crisis since he was no longer sure of who he was. He started calling himself different names and dressing differently everyday. This only made his life much worse and soon enough he ran away and went by many different character's that he had created. He became very good at acting and changing his voice to match different people even real people now. He learned about FOXHOUND and became part of it. Because of his identity crisis and ability to change his voice very easily and almost perfectly he was given the name of Creeping Chameleon the identity faking solder and now is ready for his first mission under his new name.

weapon:Trace Wires. Small cables of steel he can direct with the elctrical currents he can produce, either wrapping them around the intended target to contain them, or peirce into their skin to incapacitate or kill. He has attachments he can connect to them to make them deadlier or more effecient, depending on what he needs for the mission.

Field Expertise: Direct Combat Speacilist
Supernatural Ability: Electrokenisis, allowing him to coduct electricity through himself, his favorite form of external use being ball lightining, which is where he got his name.

BIO:Was found at the age of 12 by the FOXHOUND orginization when he thought he could make friends by showning off some "cool" ticks in the park, and multiple parents reported the incident soon after. In a matter of minutes, he was 'acquired' by FOXHOUND, and has since been trained to be used for covert missions. While most people would either be pissed or emotionless after this ordeal, Katherine makes the best of the situation, goofing off alot when not on duty and just as when they first found him, Katherine is still a show off.

Dee plz remove CQC from your character, your cha getting a little bit too strong, plus I was planning on my cha on having CQC. I'm going to post my character sheet in a little bit, we are going to start the rp today at 5 eastern time,

P.S. no mgs4 references plz, I still havent played it since I dont have a ps3, I'm waiting for it to come to xbox360 xD

Well you may have CQC as a field of expertise - but it has been implemented into the basics of every VR trainee - to my knowledge- I'll take it out of "field of expertise" But I can't completely take it out of the character because simply firing a gun - nor having some sort of claws isn't gonna come in handy when you don't know how to fight.

MGS4 - is not coming out on the xbox 360 - It's a rumour which has been lingering around for now over a year - Or I'll say good luck with trying to fit in nearly 50GB worth of data on to discs for the 360 lololol

you can have judo, muay thai etc., theres a bunch of fighting styles out there.

PS. I wouldnt be to sure, they can make it a double disc or triple disc xD I'm not wasting money on a ps3. just for 1 game.

yea but it's an MGS RP - the heck who needs judo when u have CQC - I don't think it should be limited to one character using- but u may be the ace in it, don't mean u gotto be the only one using it. - because simply, like i said it's the basic of any VR trainee after the Big shell incident MGS2 -sons of liberty

EDIT: The uncompressed audio is the main issue - hence you'll end up with 5 Double layer DVD discs - that is kinda unlikely

EDIT2: And yes your talking to someone whose whored out the MGS titles XD

EDIT3: I'll edit the bio - and say she has good knowledge of CQC - but still in training.

When allied forces recovered him, he had suffered severe burns all over his body, which left him unable to feel any pain. He suffered from a severe case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder thanks to the event. He is mentally unstable and prone to outbursts and mood swings. He reported that while he was being burned, he saw the Earth obscured by the wall of fire. It is thought that event caused him to be obsessed with a vision of the Earth in flames. He is also prone to fits of laughter, especially during combat. As such, he was discharged and placed in a military psychiatric hospital.

In the 1980s, he escaped and was thought to have been part of the Raven Sword Private Military Company, up until it was dissolved in 2014. However, all of this information is irrelevant, as he is simply your priority target. Consider him armed and extremely dangerous, and your orders are to terminate this individual on site.

But the government gave him a choice, either go to prison or join foxhound, he joined the latter. There he was put in the special and gifted program, was disciplined and was trained in CQC thru VR training, hours upon hours, for years, until finally making himself a master in CQC. Also thru VR training, he had been trained on various battle simulations, making him a master strategist. He is skilled all range of firearms and designed his own weapons. He is devoted to his country and is a natural born leader.

Umm...I have a question. Not to be a pain, and I'm not the GM, so this is just my opinion, but shouldn't there be a little bit of time so FOXHOUND can actually respond to this incident? Your post makes is sound like you knew I was coming. In addition, don't you think it's a bit odd that you parachuted right next to the main compound, and no one noticed or shot at you? I mean, with "thousands" of soldiers (and personally, I think that two hundred would be a better number), wouldn't one see you falling out of the sky? And I think that any radar would have seen your plane, not to mention the naked eye, parachuting is not a very stealthy means of entry, unless you do it at night.

I hate to complain, but it just bothers me a bit. Oh, and I have one other request. I wanted to post about the area and the soldiers that are on site, along with the Rough Riders, and if you're already in the base, I can't really do that. I think that you should do a post or two when everyone is briefed, I can set things up, and then you can make your insertion: might I recommend something like Snake did in MGS1?

Well, alright. It still bothers me, but you're the GM, so what you say goes. I still have a serious problem with you getting into the base so easily, and I really would have liked a post or so to get everything situated, as I'm sure it would take a while for you all to get mobilized. Perhaps I should go back and edit my first post, adding all that in.

And still, you dropped right on top of the main compound; that seems really fishy to me, especially if it is 2015 (as the octocamo stealth system you refer to is used by many). Also, it brings the action right to the front, and if you're inside the base already, I can't really do anything about it: I can't just say that the guard kills the GM right away.

Speaking of which, you thew a clip, but the guard doesn't have to fall for that, he might not be an idiot, after all. I'm really sorry if I'm killing your 'buzz,' if you will, but I just have a real issue with FOXHOUND already in the base: it's kind of like I already lose. And I realize that I'm the bad guy, but I should at least get a chance to fight you guys, and if you've infiltrated my stronghold and are killing my guards within five minutes of the Operation starting, then I don't really have much to do.

Am I making any sense, or am I just being annoying?

Actually I can see what he's saying, and reality aside, The time between learning about the president being kidnapped and us shipping off would have beena good chance for the characters to interact with one another, because I know that I was planning for my character atleast to act very differently when off duty and on the mission, but whatever, I'll try to think of something to post.
