umm follow the character outline they give you the most common one is:
Name:
age:
Apperance: (this can be a pic or just a description.)
Bio: (Biography...)

I can recomend two roleplays

The Stepfamily and
The Super-hero Story of Teenage life.

they are both realistic. The Stepfamily is very active right now and The Super-hero Story is usually active but I'm the only one of them online right now, so it migh be a good place to start if you wanna take it slow ^^

If you need a place to put character profiles, i'd suggest here, either that or you can usually post profiles in the OOC section of a roleplay, it keeps the IC threads nice and clean. Also, don't forget to check in on the RolePlay Academy if you need to brush up on your skills.

Other than that i'd recommend reading through a few roleplays already in progress to help you get familiar with how everything's normally done, then either start one up yourself or see if you can join an existing one. Just remember, be creative, use common sense and always check your spelling, and you'll be fine.
