Bane's voice caught me off-guard. (Only thing i can compare it to is a posh British guy)

Also, Final, you can't expect him to be better than Heath Ledger as portraying the Joker. Bane and Joker are two very different criminals fro, a profile perspective so deserve two completely different views.

I think a LOT of why people are having so much trouble enjoying TDKR is because people are comparing Heath Ledger to Tom Hardy--you can't do that. Even if they were to do a Dark Knight approach with a different man playing Joker people would be upset because Heath just stole the show.

Tom Hardy as Bane deserves a completely fresh outlook. Is he big enough? Smart enough to play Bane? In the comics Bane was actually intelligent, not just some hulking brute everyone thinks about in Batman Forever. In the comics he was the first one to figure out the dual persona of Bruce Wayne and so broke Bruce Wayne's back and effectively ended Batman--till Bruce found a substitute.

But also is the film veering so far from the comics that its hardly recognizable or is it clinging to every page to the point you can boredly know whats going to happen next?

From the previews, it looks truly promising.

So I guess Christian Bale went and saw the victims of the Batman opening day shooting down there in the states. So awesome. (The visit from Christian Bale, not the shooting.)

Bane's voice reminded me of Deckard Cain from the Diablo series. They have the exact same accent.

Also, Tom Hardy's acting is phenomenal. He does with 20% of his face what a lot of other actors aren't able to do with their entire face. He doesn't overshadow Heath's Joker, but he is in no way diminished. As for if he's big enough, well, Tom Hardy is only 5'11", but the camera work they do (along with a ridiculous amount of physical training I hear) makes him look like a beast, and when you watch the movie and see his plan unfold, you'll realize that he's more than just a brute. Sticking true to the comics, not so much, but it doesn't veer so far off that it's something else entirely. There's a lot of birth of the demon in the undertone, but it's its own movie and it's fuckin awesome. But yeah, Bane steals the show in every scene he's in just like Joker did, but in a different, fresh way.

Also, anyone noticed the influx of superhero movies? Batman, the Avengers, Spiderman-- I'm sure I'm missing some, but there's a lot of superhero movies...

I do too, cuz Deadpool wasn't really Deadpool in X-Men Origins.

I also want live action film adaptions of the upcoming Before Watchmen series. A Sandman series (at least a Decalogy!) would be pretty great too.
I'm kind of a comic book nerd.

Edit: oh and the new superman movie, directed by Zack Snyder and Produced by Christopher Nolan? I will die.

Yeah, Pixy--I think Bane was at least 6'11 in the comics? It's never a safe bet that you will find an exact match. lol

But your desceription--I now am more eager to see it. They've never really had a physically robust enemy to challenge Bale. Except Liam.

Jeez, I haven't noticed Ug's perversion at all. /sarcasm

You're right though, Bain and Joker are two completely different villains, with different methods to their madness. The Joker was interesting in what I can only describe as the grade A interpretation of Chaotic Evil.

Since I haven't read any of the comics (not nerdy enough, I know) I thought Bain was one of those bad-ass hulking giants from what I could tell from the trailer. He is[/s] but I was surprised at his intelligence. He's one of those villains you definitively [i]know, if he existed...we'd be all screwed.

Anyway Ser, watch the movie. It's one of the few that deserves the audience it garners. (I swear, they had three lines for the movie in my theater)

I am here to tell you all that I will try my best to make a memorable time. I realize that this may just be just be a hobby for some, others its a passion.

I myself being autistic, it's a way for to reach out and still interact with my world even if it's just a fantasy world I'm acting out.

It's also away for me to show who I really am either through humor, or romance or violence.

Sometimes, it feels like I'm trapped inside my own thoughts and it is so damn frustrating when I can't even just say a simple hello to someone in my real life.

I am thankful for every written line that I receive in response to something I've "said" or "did" because its like I'm made into a person not quite so faulty.

After my stroke, I was painfully reinserted into a world where, I feel all the the time that I am reminded on a daily basis that of the things I can't physically do anymore.

I used to be William Robert Phillips, 2nd Lieutenant of the United States Army training to be a Ranger because it had always been my dream to be the first in and the last to leave.

You may not know my background, where I am came from the things I've seen that to this day give me nightmares.

It became vital that I join the Army and be something else than I was at that time and when it was stripped away by my stroke I felt like I lost more than a rank or a gun, or a badge.

This stroke had me crawling until I could walk again, It made speak with a slurred speech until I could talk again. But it won't give back my control over my Asperger's and I am left rather secluded most of the time because its very much apprehensive around people. It's also left me in severe and constant pain.

This brings me to my next focus. I learned recently that my liver is deteriorating and there is nothing to be done.

Modesty, I pride myself on being a gentleman.It is one of the few things my mother taught me to be while she was still alive.

Last night I was more than a little rude to you. I would like to sincerely apologize.

I know me being upset about the news by no means condones my behavior but it is the explanation that I have to offer.

I thoroughly enjoy writing with you--all of you--Deallo I'm sure you I would also enjoy your writing as well. A little thing I am attempting to try is to get a female character to fall for my big stupid Orc. It won need to be anything pornographic, I'm just seeing if it would be fun considering the type.

So far, he's groped the Cleric. I'm very interested in seeing how he handles a drunk monk chick. He might also try to get in good with the Paladin--but seeing how yours and Cynic's are hate you would call "zealots" being Lawful Good it might prove as disastrous as his flirting with manipulative Neutral Evil Cleric. Hahaha.

That said, I'm not sure if the Ranger would even be remotely interested although she would certainly have sex appeal on her side. but then again, they both live in the the wild.
