Zycha watched as Sofia seemed to come in late “dam she’s more late then me” Zycha said to himself kind of surprised she seemed to walk past him and take the seat behind him. “Did I miss anything of importance?” Sofia whispered from behind Zycha.

Zycha turned around not caring if the teach caught him talking “Nah nothing much really we have been doing simple math that freshmen could do.” Zycha jokingly said as he took her text book and opened it to page 18.

“Where on question 4, C it’s halfway down the page.” Zycha pointed out with his left hand as he looked up at her smiling.

Toby perked up a bit at the sight of the white haired girl, she was beautiful... but she was a water bender, and despite his wanting to talk to her he had heard of her reputation, she was called the ice queen. Besides a serious student like the 'Ice Queen' would never like an earth bender, if he learned anything over the last few years at this school it was that serious students never crossed into other factions for friends, or dates.
Toby let out a sigh, he was bored out of his mind, he had had the teacher before a previous year, he found out what she wanted from a student and became it, they were in a sense 'friends'. he stood and walked to the front of the class to the teacher.

"May I go to the restroom, please." he said with a smile. She nodded and Toby left the room.
He walked down the hallway and entered the boys bathroom, he filled his cupped hands with water and patted his face using his sleeve to dry off, he stared into the mirror.
"why can't you find a cute girl? hmmm?" he sighed, his childish nature cost him many chances at girls, and everytime one made advances towards him he got scared and avoided her, commitment was what scared him, taking care of someone other than himself... but he knew he could do it, if he fell hard enough for someone and against what many would think he was not at all as shallow as he seemed, in fact personality was the key to his heart, a girl he could simply talk to... laugh with, make smile and hold.

Sofia looked up at his smiling face, smirking herself, “That’s all? Something tells me this is going to be a simple year.” She was actually serious, these were problems she would have no difficulty whatsoever with. She took out her notebook and pencil, jotting down all the questions she had missed and solving them quickly.

“You know, if you don’t speak quieter and turn around, the teach-“ her warning was too late, the teacher called on Zycha and told him to turn around and pay attention, thinking better of it the teacher smiled and told him to come up and solve the problem on the board. Sofia stifled a small giggle….wait, she was giggling?! No, she did not giggle, especially for something so trivial.

Ren shot up with the second poke and sighed, sinking into her seat. Given a question, she mumbled out the answer without even having to think about it. Turning to the person who poked her, it was someone from the water, she muttered.

"Yeh, what."

Alex was bored out of his skull. These problems were also a joke for him, as was often the case in school. His head bobbed down, then back up, down, then back up, until it styed down, with him fast asleep. He was paying for his late study session and early fubtol practice. After about five minutes, the teacher came over. "Mr. Castillo, perhaps you would like to answer question 7 for us."

"Y'=3x+4"

"See ? That's why you need to pay... Oh, wait, that's correct. Good job."

But Alex was already back to sleep.

Toby came back into the room, and as he did he scanned the students, most of them seemed tired and bored. unintentionally he gave the ice queen a bizzare look, he thought he had heard somewhat of a giggle, the boy that was sitting next to her was being scowled by the teacher.
"Ice queen can laugh..?" he murmered to himself as he took his seat in the back.

Sofia caught herself as some people looked to her in surprise, they did not expect to see such a sight, the Ice Queen stifling a giggle. Notably someone actually murmured about it, she couldn't hear what he said, but she knew she would most likely not like the comment.

She turned her head and rested her chin on the back of her hand, glaring icily at the guy who had entered the classroom after going to the bathroom. If looks could kill.....

Zycha laughed at her warning but was quickly also interrupted by the teacher who seemed to be getting annoyed at Zycha and on the first day he turned around shrugging almost to show the teacher he didn’t care but she quickly pushed him into a terrible situation she called him up to the board.

“Why is it always me?” Zycha sighed as he got up out of his seat walking to the board grabbing a piece of chalk Zycha had no clue what question he was on. Zycha took a second to analyze the question it seemed to be simple.

“Is that what you wanted?” Zycha asked as he put his left hand back into his pocket walking away from the board. The teacher seemed to get annoyed at his smart remark as she turn to the board the question was fully answered and seemed to be correct.

Zycha sat back down “So… Where were we?” Zycha asked Sofia once again smiling knowing he was going to drive the teacher insane.

Toby felt someone starring, he slowly looked, the Ice Queen was starring at him with quite a bitter glare. He swallowed hard, 'Did she hear me?' he wondered.
He gave an awkward smile and slight wave and then dropped his hand in his lap as his grin faded. The girl had very pretty eyes, they almost drank him in if was not for the wall of hatred clearly beaming at him. he diverted his attention to the bored.
"Smooth move..." he thought to himself as he slid his hand up to his face and rested his head in his palm, avioding the death gaze of the Ice Queen.

Zycha returned from his punishment of having to do a problem on the board. Sofia felt instantly better, and turned away from the annoyance she had originally had her attention on. She had the slightest of grins on, this guy, Zycha, had this devil may care attitude that drew her to him, he blatantly acted as though the teacher wasn’t their and turned to talk to her again. She closed her book, done with both the classwork and homework.

“I was trying to warn-“ The teacher gave a very loud sigh and called on Sofia,

“I had really expected better from a star student Sofia, get your act together and come do a problem on the board. Don’t keep this up Zycha, I will send you to the office if you continue to be a dissrup-“ The teacher was interrupted by the bell ringing, signaling the end of class.

“Saved by the bell.” Sofia commented to Zycha. “What class do you have next?” She asked casually. Gathering up her bag and sweeping her long hair away from her shoulder.

The bell rang as the teacher seem to snap at them he heard Sofia make a smart remark to the teacher, “What class do you have next?” Sofia asked.

”Seems like I’m stuck in English for next class, how about you?” Zycha asked almost hating the next class. It wasn’t that Zycha hated English he just found it to be his lowest class witch made it his least favourite class.

Miku walked down the hall to her next class, she had her head down and shoulders hunched as glared as every person the dared make a noise as she passed, she's just gotten a call from her father apparently he was getting married in a week and he wanted her to come to the wedding, she didn't even know he was dating! She got on the phone with her 'new mum' and she already hated her! From what she could tell the woman was the touchy feely type like her mother supposedly was, she hated the nonsence maybe because her father was the oppisite of that and she would have turned out much better if her mum had lived longer...
The toughts and feelings were getting to much for her, should she be happy? or mad? will she like the woman? will things change? what is she doen't like me? why do I care? were just a few, then when she started thinking about her mother she almost started crying but just barly managed to keep the tears back.

Sofia had AP English, all of her classes were AP classes. "I've got english too, but it's AP." She said, not sounding dissapointed on purpose. She walked with him out of class and waved goodbye as she went the opposite direction as him, "See you." she said casually, and was off to her next class. Hopefully her teacher would give her something slightly fun, Sofia hated writing about boring subjects, but then again didn't everyone?

She met Maria in class and sat next to her, "You know, I should get you an alarm clock for your next birthday." She commented, "Yah, or maybe you just need to learn how to wake people up nicely." Maria snorted, The Ice Queen simply smirked and opened her text book.

Zycha said his good byes to Sofia at the time as he left to head to his next class he dully entered the class it seemed like it wasn’t going to be an interesting class since he had no one to talk to and it was his least liked class. Zycha took a seat far in the back corner keeping his hands in his pocket calmly waiting for the class to start as the chairs seemed to get filled.

The bell rang just as the Ice Queen was getting into trouble. Toby slid is belongings into his bag and stood up, he walked past Sofia and gave her a blank stare and then glanced at the boy the she was with.
"I'd like to spar you sometime." Toby said bluntly to Sofia.
"I don't think I've ever seen you spar and your not new here right?, didn't you win some sort of award one year for being perfect?" He asked with a sarcastic grin.
"Oh, by the way..." He looked around for the teacher, she was at her desk looking over papers.
"It's best to get on a teachers good side on the first day." With a smirk he turned.
"Peace out." it was clear the way the two of them talked with eachother all of class that they liked one another. Toby made his way through the crowded hallway and into his AP english room, his favorite class, where the beauty of language and artwork of writing could be perfected. He took a seat in the center left of the room near the window. his hand flet the pebble in his pocket from earlier, he pulled it out and looked it over. it was amazing how water could effect stone, making it smooth and oval, his only real threat in sparring was the water element he figured, and even then he had many tricks to deal with that. thats why he liked learning about other people, finding their weakness so he could exploit them when needed, on or off the battle field, though his mean streak was rare and he never did anything horrible, in fact his morals coached his life and caused him to be a bit of a wet blanket in some situations.

Miku headed to her AP english, she hated english it was always so boring! Though she liked writing but listening to a teacher drone on is always boring... she sat up the back and to the left nexted to the window, she sat in the back, left or every one of her classes, then she saw the boy from the roof walk in and sit down
'him again?' she thought resting her head in her hand, then the 'ice queen' walked in, Miku didn't know weather she hated Sofia or liked her, they were a lot a like in may ways but no matter what they always got into a fight, but Miku liked fights... after a few minutes Miku's attention drifted out the window, the teacher noticed and threw a peice of chalk at her but right before it could hit a gust of wind pushed it in thee other direction hitting Toby in the back of the head, Miku heard laughing and then realised what she just did
"oops" she muttered sounding sarcastic without meaning to...

Toby turned around after the chalk thudded against his head.
"eh? what was that?" he hadnt been paying attention, instead he had been shoveling through his bag searching for his poertry and writing book. He rubbe his head and stared at the girl from the roof.
"Hey, I saw you on the roof last night right? the artist?" he looked at the peice of chalk.

Sofia noticed that the boy who had challenged her and had impudently given her advice was in the same class as she was at the moment. He had AP english, she wondered if he was going to continue to annoy her, she decided to squash him like a bug early on.

Getting up and giving a nodd to Maria, she walked over to Toby, her heels clicking on the marble floor of the english classroom. Holding her hands behind her back, she walked up to him, almost glaring at him but not quite, more or less looking at him with indifference now. "Alright. Tobbias isn't it?" She asked, her voice formal, "I accept your challenge, sparring matches are being held today, we will sparr then." She spun around on her heel and said coldly while walking away, "Try not to bore me to much." Sofia was going to win the trophy this year, and no bug was going to challenge her ang get away with it, she'd crush anyone in her way.

Everyone stoped laughing when Miku glared at Toby "yeah..." she muttered clearly not impressed "you challenged the Ice Queen ey?" she said motioning to Sofia making sure she heard her "I'd like to see you try to beat her" Miku finished with a smirk 'I want to know how good he really is' she thought

"Oi old lady!" Miku shouted accoss the room to Sofia "when your done squashing him wanna sparr with someone that knows how?" Miku was in the mood for a fight, she was currently trying to piss off as many people as possable

Zycha was already bored out of his mind, ten minutes had only past and he was out of ideas to keep himself entertained since he had read the short stories the teacher gave them to read.

“Can I use the washroom?” Zycha asked as he stood up from the back of the room. The teacher gave him a nod and he left the room walking down the hall he slipped past the bathroom and took a walk outside by a tree outside the main castles Zycha needed to cool off and thought if he blew one class off it wasn’t the end of the world he had done it plenty of times in the past though he had been.

Zycha rested leaning on the tree he looked up at the clouds as he let himself fall into a deep day dream.
