He couldn't help but admit that he was enjoying this. Jakob grinned in spite of himself, coming in with a slash and a parry followed by yet anther slash, a double strike and a dodge, but Saryk was always there, never more than a step ahead or behind him. The dance of blades was a beautiful, deadly dance not for viewing but for acting.

"One of us will have to lose eventually." Jakob said, hair flying. He was becoming winded, and his leg was getting weaker. The fight continued on, the sparks and clangs sounding methodically.

"Moridor!" he said quickly, hoping the small whirlwind at Saryk's feet would cause the larger Dremorg to fall out of equilibrium.

"Kaezil!" Saryk shouted, dismissing the whirlwind without missing a step, unfortunately it was too late, Saryk's step was to the side, one he had not meant to make, sacrificing his defeence saryk dove backwards hoping to recover his balance before the nimble jakob closed the gap.

Jakob leapt upon the vulnerable Saryk like a wolf on a wounded fowl. Both blades flew out, though only one connected. Medusa's Talon went through the insubstantial air, and his father's sword went up down into the plate mail Saryk wore, causing it to dent once more. But Jakob himself left himself vulnerable after the attack, and he knew it would be mere fractions of a second before the large, wide blade cut into his torso.

The blade arced up past jakob's sword, straight in for a vital blow, the blade sank deep, biting through flesh and muscle. Reversing the momentum saryk sprayed blood on the wall. "Damned elf, recover from that." Saryk spat, kicking the hopefully mortal wound. Spining he drew his sacrificial knife, "Larien darling, where'd you get off to?"

Zenalith strayed into the ballroom with Helen at his side.
Helen shrieked, and fell backwards into Zenalith's arms. The sight had apparently made her faint.
Zenalith acted quickly, bow strung in an instant.

Jakob slumped to the marble floor, blood pouring from his wound and his mouth. The coppery taste of blood was inescapable as he felt like he drowned in it. The seductive tendrils of death tore at his soul, and barely was Jakob able to not die at that exact moment.

"Damn you." Jakob coughed up blood as he slumped to the floor, holding his wound. Tears were coming from the half-elf's eyes, whether from pain or failure none knew. It would be a mere matter of seconds before he was dead.

((Himros, Jakob is going to die. Plot twists will lead to more plot twists, let me tell you.))

OOC: Thanks

Zenalith carefully laid Helen against the wall. Then he turned to look at Jakob on the ground covered in blood, he knew that his life was neer its end. Zenalith had enough experiance with death that he knew Jakob wasn't going to last much longer. He looked back at Helen and at Jakob once more, he sighed sadly and whispered loud enough for himself to hear.
"I will fight in your dept, Jakob"

Zenalith knew he might stand a pretty good chance, he had taught himself most of the weaknesses of a human or elves body such as thier shoulder, neck, back of thier legs, foot, hands, and sometimes thier stomach depending if they are wearing armor or not.

He pulled the black hood of his coat over his head, a black shadow his is face. He slowely stood up straight and took one last look at them both, knowing as he turned his back that Jakob died. He held his bow at his side, ready with an arrow to raise it whenever he needed.
He looked up at Saryik across the room, meeting his eyes.

A smile hit saryk's lips, as the other ranger raised a bow against him, "Poor little Jakob, To die in such a manner, Glorious as most should consider it to die by my hand, tis' a waste of such talent, death, mayhaps, I shall summon a necromancer, to trap his soul in a body, and force it to my will, let me tell you weakling, nothing is more fun than disposing of my only real threat." Stepping forward Saryk led the way with his inflated ego, sword drawn low for a high arcing slice.

Zenalith raised his bow, there was no possible way he could miss this shot with Sayrik only about 5 feet away, but he had plate armor on, no arrow could peirce through it. In one quick motion he lifted the bow and let the arrow go, it struck deeply into the tissue and muscle of Sayrik's stomach. Only scratching the plate armor, if he hadn't have had armor on it would have been deadly.
"I thought you were suppost to be a smart fighter, and a threat... Weakling..." He tuanted him.

(I'm wearing plate armor, there's no way an arrow would go through that.) Saryk didn't miss a step, The arrow had pierced his plate, but not his skin. He closed the remaining distance and slashed at the bow in Zenalith's hand, cleaving it in two. Whipping the sword back into a defending position, saryk paused waiting for zenalith to draw his weapon. (btw, It's saryk, no I, S A R Y K)

OOC: Sorry, I didn't know he was wearing plate armor...

Zenalith threw the two peices of the bow that were now only attached by the string aside, he then pulled a large dagger that was about two and a half foot long off his belt. The dagger was beautifuly made, it's hilt had two rubies on each side. The blade was sharp, it could cut through flesh like butter. It's blade was shaped like no other, the bottom of the blade curved forward, the top of it curved away and had a small hook on the end.

"Your weak under all that armor, nothing but a weakling hiding behind your peice of metal," Zenalith tuanted.

Casting aside his Greatsword Sasryk drew his Rite Knife, The foot long dagger had a vicious curve, a wicked looking serated edge, one vital stab and this was done. "Zeikazitrel" The demons word teleported his plate across the room, now lying by jakob's corpse. "Let us see who shall be victorious" with naught armor, and daggers alone." in truth he was already tired, from his use of magic, the last word should have been past his abilities, and from the fight with jakob. The wicked knife was set to use immeaditly, with a sweeping arc, saryk lunged forward, ready to fall back into a defensive position should he make contact with the other fighters knife.

Zenalith stepped back then lunged forward, whiping the large dagger at Sayrk's arm which he held the dagger. He made contanct but not enough to cut into his flesh, only the sleeve of his cloths. He jumped back holding the dagger deffensively.

The daggers hilt seemed to glow as it was swung, an illusion seemed to make the hooked edges look like they were to act like small whips slicing through the air.

OOC: So, I suppost Sayrk is going to win this fight too?

(( he doesn't necesarily have to, he just has to live.) Jakob what're you gonna do now that gray's dead?)) Saryk's arm snapped back as the knife cut through his sleeve, he was not particulalrly good with a knife, but he could handle it, and knew he was outmatched here, backing up slowly, small steps at a time, saryk's spun the knife once threw it and dived, rolling over jakob's corps, snatching one of his longswords in the process.

OOC: Well, if it's okay with you I wouldn't mind winning the first fight i've had on this thread, as long as Sayrk doesn't die do you mind?

Zenalith fell backwards, the knife almost struck him dead. He looked at the kife, he grinned slightly standing up and walking over to the knife that was just thrown at him. He knelt down and picked the knife up in his left hand and examined it, then looked back at Sayrk.
The two daggers he weilded were different, his knife that was specialy made seemed to bring him luck, Sayrk's gave him an uncomfortable feeling. He took one last look at Sayrk's dagger and threw it aside against the wall and held his mastercraft dagger in both hands defensively, waiting.

(Nope not really, I have jakob's regular longsword now.) Standing saryk hefted the longsword growing used to it's weight. He was becoming more and more unsure of his decision as this fight went on, in a regular fight, he may have defeated this man, but not without his sword and armor.

Zenalith lunged forward, lashing his dagger at Sayrk's chest. This time it hit, he madeabout an inch long cut not even long enough that it would hardly bleed. He left himself open to attack during that and almost lost his balance.

Slashing low saryk tried to take a leg, Drawing a hariline cut, his chest began to throb in pain from a cut that should not have hurt that much,Tired and in pain Saryk rolled past Zenalith and relinquished the longsword, reaching for his heavier, more familiar blade. Drawing it up in time to block anything zenalith would attack.

Zenalith stumbled slightly, regretting his mistake of leaving himself open to attack. He felt the cut across his heg, it wasn't deep but it hurt. Nagrily he lunged forward, this time quicker and more agressive. His blade again hit, making a slightly larger bigger slice on his arm, only about at quarter inch.
