Inali was both impressed and slightly disappointed when Cartier's eyes didn't wander. The man had more self control than she thought. While most women bitched and moaned about men not being able to look them in the eyes Inali quite enjoyed their lack of control. It made her feel more attractive. Though, she did catch herself complaining once in a while though more often times than not this was in the rare moments where she did want someone to actually listen to what she was saying.

The amount of crimes didn't shock her, nor did the crimes themselves. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find something that did surprise Inali. Well, you know, aside from natural disasters and surprise attacks. The first of which was near unpredictable and the second of which had the word 'surprise' in the name. However, the mentioning of kicking a puppy did cause Inali to cover her mouth as she let out a squeak of a laugh.

“How mean!” She peeped. Despite that she laughed anyway. Her giggles were quiet so as to not attract too much attention to herself, and eventually died down all together as Cartier inquired about how she'd gotten into shut in the slammer. Leaning back Inali's gaze wandered up to the ceiling as if the a readily composed essay in regards to the series of events that lead to her imprisonment would be there.

It wasn't, but she could dream.

“Well. . . “ She began, placing a hand on her knee and tilting her head to the side. “See, I'm a bit of a big thing where I'm from.” This was true. On her planet Inali had been one of those 'famous for being famous' kind of people. Why wouldn't she be? She was young, pretty, and rich. Sure, she couldn't say that she was the Paris Hilton of her time, but she was a socialite between drug deals. Before she got shipped of the that horrid ice rock Inali had even started writing a memoir. She would have made quite a few bucks if she hadn't been caught.

“I married this man, this mobster, Landon Vercona. He wasn't--” Inali's sentence was cut short by a distinct voice. A voice she knew that she knew. Before Inali could turn around there was a hand on her head ruffling her hair. In shock her mouth let out a small 'ah' of a sound and she backed up slightly so that she could look up at the culprit.

“Could it be, the little incubus herself? Inali! You little harlot. “I would ask where you’ve been, but considering you are here with the rest of us I can only assume you got yourself pinched enough to take this job.” Looking up Inali's eyes met the familiar dark browns of an old friend lost. Her lips spread into a grin so big it caused her mouth to open up slightly and without getting up she threw her arms around him, her face burying itself in his stomach.

“Tony you fucking rat bastard!” Her muffled exclamation took on a tone so endearing it didn't seem to match the words which had just come out. Pulling away she removed her face from his stomach, her hands still clutching the fabric on the sides of his torso. “Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you the story later if you—My god, I can't believe you go caught. What are you don't here---Why do you smell like sex?” The last one was asked with a suggestive undertone, her mouth curving into a wry smirk as she pulled away even further.

Cartier remained seated, as Inali hugged the newcomer. His face had gone utterly blank, he blinked slowly at very regular intervals, staring dumbly off into space. Though his mouth moved as if he was whispering, nothing audible came out. His entire body seemed to be cool, every muscle in his large body relaxed, not a care in the world. As if he'd been hypnotized into a deep trance only to return when someone snapped their fingers. Inside his head, Valentine and Cartier, the two little men battled it out, fighting over the switch again, each pulling as hard as they could to gain control. In this limbo stage it left the actual body of Mr. Parrish rather useless, on autopilot, one could say. These moments were rare, and while much could happen internally as his synapses bombarded each other, to the outside world for this to last more than ten or fifteen seconds passing was all but unheard of.

~I told you she was a whore.
She's sweet.
~But its true!
Just because she knows what sex smells like?
~He called her a harlot!
They're friends, Valentine.
~She's fucked him. & She's playing you.
Nobody plays me, I'm doing this for the good of both of us.
~Doing what? Buttering up some slut? Kill her. Kill everyone.
Have you forgotten she's getting us out of here? You want to ruin that before its even happened?
~Tell me something, does all of the common sense only exist on my part of the brain? Is that the problem?
You're preaching to me about common sense, and yet you just told me to kill everyone.
~If you'd just give me five fucking minutes at the helm maybe we could!
We're cuffed to our own balls right now, Valentine, you're being unreasonable.
~Your balls. I'm cuffed to your balls right now. Maybe if you got rid of them you'd be able to do some actual thinking.
Don't get any ideas.
~Once we're on the outside, once we've got this clean slate, I'm getting rid of you.
Don't act like you could exist on the outside without me.
~Don't act like you could be of any use to this mission without me. I'm the one with the killer instinct.
You're also the one in prison.
~I find out any of these idiots are trying to fuck me over, they're dead.
Just let me handle it till it does. Don't screw this up, not yet. If it comes to that, I won't fight you.
~If it comes to that, you won't have a choice.

Tony let out a laugh as the young one gave him a tight hug around his mid section. The first real laugh he had in 3 years. Inali brought back many good memories to his mind. He hadn’t met her while he himself was in the mob, but he sought protection enough time from her husband that he had gotten very well acquainted with them both. The old man had many safe houses in which Tony stayed, never mind that huge home of his. Sure the place was under constant surveillance, but the damn thing was filled with so many passages ways and tunnels that it easy to slip out with the Federation being none the wiser. Also truth be told as attractive as she was, Inali was the bosses girl, a boss which Tony had great respect for. This made her a little sister in Tony’s eyes and it hadn’t changed with the years he spent in the cell.

"Tony you fucking rat bastard...---Why do you smell like sex?”

He gave a her a large smile as she spoke, but the last question turned his smile into a slick grin. He motioned his shoulders and eyes in Charlie’s direction. “Just properly introducing myself to one your mates. There’s a real minx under that coat you know.” Tony said this loudly, not truly caring who heard him or perhaps wanting everyone to hear. Whatever the case Tony took a step back from the little woman to keep from suffocating her with the smell of his latest sexual escapades. Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of the dark man next to her as his lips moved but no words came from them. He motioned to him at Inali with a facial expression saying “What the fuck is up with that guy?”

He got a annoyed look on his face at her reference that idiots at the Federation had actualy caught him. He waved off the idea like it was nothing more than a bad joke, he was going to set the record straight for the little one. “ Ahh…those pinche pendejos. They were lucky to catch me. What can I say, maybe I spent to much time in the company of friends like yourself and the old man or ladies like your mate. Either way I guess I got too comfortable, got sloppy. I should have left the planet while I had the chance, or at least had done a proper search of the area. Hell for all I know we could have just spent a minute too long in the bank.”

He grabbed the collar of his shirt and revealed his right shoulder, and of course the wound that now marked it. “Whatever I did wrong, it got me tagged.” As he let go of the collar and rotated his shoulder a bit the pain beginning to raise once again. “Given the choice of being tagged here or getting another scar on my back side I would have taken the former. Damn thing doesn’t seem to ever stop hurting. But eh it’s all in the past Manita, seems like we are both here for a second chance at some fresh air.”

Ok, so perhaps spontaneous sex with an inmate and potential teammate wasn’t exactly on the list of wises things she’d ever done, but she wasn’t sorry either. She’d needed that, and now she felt particularly charged. Besides, that had been the best she’d had in a long, long time. They’d both dressed pretty quickly after that, Toni she assumed because he was ready to get out of here, and Charlie because she now only had a half hour to find two other inmates. She doubted the Major would truly care who she slept with, but she also knew he’d get pissy about it if it interfered with work. And so with a friendly pat to the ass, and an order out to her guard escort (whose disliking stares only seemed to grow more heated at being forced to wait twenty minuets for what was likely quite obvious what they were do) she’d welcomed him aboard.

Charlie was lucky, that it hadn’t come to showing up semi empty handed. There hadn’t been time left for a really extensive search, but she’d found tow more who were more than suitable. The first had been a greasy looking white guy with long blond hair, glasses and a twitchy sort of look. Supposedly, he was some sort of bomb expert, and could build them out of just about anything he found laying around. He’d apparently blown up some research lab that tested on puppies and killed roughly 90 people. He was also on death row, and conveniently, also easily cowed. She’d given the little man the similar shake down she’d given Toni, though without the fun little tussle. Johnny Fletcher, had read on her face she’d kill him dead if he pulled anything, and by the look on his, she’d got the message he was too afraid of her (and by extension the Major) to even contemplate that.

The second was a Latino, former arms dealer, chick, by the name of Anita Rodriguez. She had a cooler, more calculating look about her, and didn’t at first betray her interest in the deal. It was as they’d gone on, and Charlie gave her the same rundown she’d given the other two, (though notably more civilly) that Anita agreed to come aboard. She’d replied simply to Charlie’s warning with a chill “As if I would” in a hardened tone that spoke volumes. Anita had a score she was determined to settle when she got out of here too, and that was half the reason she’d picked her.

When the time was up, she brought her picks in to see the Major, quite confident she’d found a good bunch. As her recent bed buddy seemed distracted, and done with any post-sex flirting, Charlie pulled out the Yuwan newspaper she’d been reading earlier from her coat pocket, and picked up where she’d left off.

“Just properly introducing myself to one your mates. There’s a real minx under that coat you know.” She heard come loudly from earlier mentioned bed buddy somewhere in the room. Looking up from her paper, she saw him standing familiarly with Inali, and one brow went quizzically up. She supposed she shouldn't be surprised by them knowing each other, in fact, very little should really surprise her at this point, but really? Was there any guy with a nice ass in this system Inali didn’t know? Charlie pinned Toni with a look and sickly sweet smile that clearly said “Oh yes, very discrete, but keep talking and I promise you’ll regret it.”, before looking back at her paper. Anita took one look at Charlie, the over to Toni, and back at Charlie before breaking out laughing.

Having snapped back to reality, the room had changed. There were more prisoners now, including a woman laughing heartily. She had a nice laugh, it was almost contagious, if Cartier himself wouldn't look completely crazed (as if it wasn't too late already) he probably would have joined in. His eyes drifted making quick run downs of each of the characters in the room.

A timid blond man who gave off the vibe of a small dog, shaking and afraid, only a hair away from pissing himself if someone looked at him the wrong way. The Latino woman, all dark haired with exotic features, who continued laughing. Inali's old friend, looking like a gangster from the 20th century, greasy haired, several noticeable scars speckled across his skin. Another woman, whom he could not identify due to the paper which shielded her face, and her lower body held no other clues through her baggy clothing. And last but not least, Inali, his adorable little rescuer, all dolled up like she was going to a party.

The analysis was more for Valentine's benefit than Cartier's. Unless it was an attractive female, Cartier really didn't care what anyone looked like, he could learn more by talking to someone than by looking at their outside appearance. Valentine however, not endowed with the gift of gab, was more interested in their physical capabilities so that when the time came, he knew how much of a threat they would pose. Cartier did gain one fun fact out of the quick study of the others, he was the only one in restraints. While Valentine was extremely amused by this, it quite annoyed Cartier, it wasn't his fault he shared a body with a criminal.

No matter, they agreed. Someone would have to take them off eventually.

Well, its high time I start making friendly. Hopping to his feet Cartier stuck out one hand as far as it would allow towards the mafioso who clearly knew Inali. Any friend of hers was a friend of his, right? His other hand attempted to discreetly hold back his package, figuring it was poor form to let another man give you a loving nut tap when you've only just met. "You know who you remind me of?" Cartier gave him a flashy grin "John Dillinger."

Tony shivered a little from Charlies' look of death. The laughter of a small Latina from the exchange caught his attention, he had almost completely forgotten about her. He was much to distracted with his own thoughts about the coming mission when she was picked by Charlie to come to the room. She was laughing at his expense no doubt and he didn't like that. He turned up his head a bit and said, "And what do you find so funny puta?"

The former arms dealer gave him a smirk and replied. "No seas tan infantil, amor." (Translations: Don't be so childish, lover boy.)

Tony was about to say something else to the young Latina before seemingly out of nowhere the large man besides Inali came back to life and sprung to his feet. Tony had a fist balled at his side, expecting a blow to come from someone with the urge to move that fast, but was instead greeted with an open hand. Tony stared a bit at this man, a eye brow raised as he tried to see what exactly his angle was.

"You know who you remind me of?" The man said as a smirk came across his face. "John Dillinger."

Well if there was any better way to get on Tony's good side, Tony did not know about it. He had seen several movies of the legendary robber in the old movies. They were hard to come by seeing as the Federation had complete control over entertainment and the last thing they needed was a thief to be seen as a hero. But Tony had gotten to see a few illegal copies. There were few men Tony respected and even fewer he wanted to be like, Dillinger was one of the later. A smile cracked open on Tony's lips as he took the mans hand in a firm shake. "You know some day your going to have to revise that line my friend. Cause quiet frankly I'm already bigger than Dillinger. Tony. Tony Romanino friend."

He looked down at the young Inali and found what could only be a well hidden look of relief on her face. He looked back up at the man as he pulled his hand away from the shake. "I can see you've become fast friends with this little belleza. And of course if that is the case, that would mean I should do my best to get along with my Manita's friends." He rolled his eyes at her feigning a look of dissatisfaction at the whole idea.

Inali's open mouth smirk was her reaction to Tony's announcement that he'd slept with her co-worker. Now that was a surprise. She hadn't known Charlie to put out like that. Not that she could say she minded at all. No, if anything she was quite proud of the pretty-eyed woman. Perhaps Inali's habits had rubbed off on her. Inali would of vocalized this had Charlie not spat out a warning at her former partner in crime. Shaking her head Inali let out a small snicker as the Latina woman across the room let out a cackle.

Tony had known Inali back when she was married to Landon. Thus that mean there was no sex. When Inali was married, in all three of her marriages, she never once cheated. Inali may have been a whore, and hell, she did enjoy sex very much. However, she wasn't a cheater. She was proud to say that she stayed loyal to her partners. Their relationship was platonic like all her relationships with people related to the mob. He was her brother, and he had taught her a few of the ropes when it came to dealing with criminals back when she was still a wet behind the ears newb.

The blank stare on Cartier's face was unsettling, and she shrugged when Tony made his silent inquiry in regards to the man. She didn't know what was going on in that head of his. Especially since there was more than one person running about in there. She did have to admit the sudden silence was a tad unsettling, like a calm before a storm. She grimaced a little when he stood up, expecting him to try and deck Tony.

Thankfully, this wasn't the case. He instead offered him his hand, which Inali was equally thankful Tony took, and then told him that he reminded him of John Dillinger. This made a tiny 'hmph' of a chuckle rise out of Inali. Cartier had certainly hit the nail on the head there. The only reason Inali knew of the guy was because of Tony though, so in a manner of speaking Tony one upped the man in her mind.

“Well this certainly is going smoother than the Jakau Gamma.” Inali said in a relieved tone. In a rather unladylike fashion her hands went to her breasts, cupping the sides as if trying to push them out. To anyone who didn't know Inali they'd probably be shocked and perhaps even a bit offended. To those who did, they'd know she was trying to find out which side of her bra held her cigarettes. The answer on this occasion was the left. Pulling the box out with a bit of difficulty, she opened it to find her lighter nestled neatly inside as always. Happily she lit a cigarette.

“Back in the Gamma several of us were in the infirmary, two shot I think. Something like that. It was messy.” She explained, blowing out a cloud of smoke. With a bit of a concerned look her gaze did drift off to the door. She didn't even realize she was doing it, but her mind was on the Major, wondering where the man could be. Why wasn't he in the room? Where did he go? Did he run into an trouble? Inali shook her head in a slight yet sharp motion as she blinked a few times. What did it matter? He wasn't any of her business.

Charlie folded the paper back up with a sour look, before shoving the offensive articles back into her pocket. Well, things on Yuwan certainly hadn’t improved since her unceremonious departure. To be blunt, as was her nature, things were sucking monkey ass. After not having access to papers for months, looking at the pictures in the paper, was almost like looking at another planet entirely. Nelson was taking over everything, pretty soon they’d be better off just renaming it Net Corp. Central! She needed a beer, or something…She’d heard about those stress balls you could customize to look like people and squeeze ‘till their eyes popped; now that sounded appealing.

She listened to the rest of the conversation more intently, now that she’d put away the paper, and glanced around with a mild look of suspicion. Where was the Major? He was the one who’d set the damn time limit, and he was the one who wasn’t here on time? She didn’t buy it. There was either trouble, which she didn’t think likely as there were no alarms going off and no frantic guards running their way, or the prick was watching them from somewhere. The latter she found much more likely. Was he using that as part of the new kids’ evaluation? She wouldn’t put it past him.

“Well I wonder where the hell Robbie could be?” She asked aloud dryly, a deliberate jab at the Major, should he really be spying on them. For some reason, that through really rubbed her the wrong way. She walked a bit closer to the group, glancing at the walls with a narrowed gaze looking for any hidden cameras they hadn’t noticed. She didn’t see any, but that was far from comforting. Hidden was apparently the emphases for those cameras.

“Don’t forget more than one of them were crazed up little fruit loops.” She replied to Inali’s statement, remembering Tyler, Damia, and particularly the Van Hoff brothers. Alistair had been a real piece of work too, but unfortunately, he was still with them in the present tense, not the past. And so was Dr. Frankenstein, and that one gave her the chills.

“Cute and listen, Robby should have let us pick the first time around too. Would have saved us a lot of trouble huh?” Charlie Joked lightly, mostly to Inali, and puting another little jab at the Major should he be spying.

"I'm the pick of the litter." Cartier replied to the man jovially, as the handshake ceased "Must have been my singing voice." He said with a laugh.

Unlike most, Cartier had a deep appreciation for those arrogant enough to keep up with his own inflated sense of self-worth. This Tony fellow had come through in spades thus far. "A pleasure to meet you, good sir; I'll be sure to tell the next one they remind me of Tony Romanino."

Though he hadn't noticed Inali cringe when he hopped to his feet, she sounded as if she had just made it through a moment of high tension as she remarked “Well this certainly is going smoother than the Jakau Gamma.” She followed up by fiddling with her breasts. The smile which had already emblazoned itself upon Cartier's face only grew as she drew a semi crunched pack of cigarettes out and gracefully pawed one of the slender sticks out. As she lit it she spoke again “Back in the Gamma several of us were in the infirmary, two shot I think. Something like that. It was messy.” The cloud she blew out smelled heavenly, though her attention seemed to fade with the smoke, a vaguely troubled look on her face.

"Can I have one of those?" Cartier inquired, pointing a finger at her mouth. "Its been ages." Realizing that he had been distracted he turned his gaze back to the man next to him. "So you two go way back eh? I must say I'm rather jealous, she seems like quite the keeper."

The approach of the woman who had previously been hiding behind her paper redirected Cartier's for a third time. “Don’t forget more than one of them were crazed up little fruit loops.” She said, reminding Inali of the adventure they had shared previous to this one.

Valentine butted in, though without knowing it you wouldn't have been able to tell "Some of us would take offense to that statement." he said with a disenchanted frown.

“A keeper?” Inali peeped as she got a hold of another cigarette from her pack. Sticking the stick between her lips she continued to speak despite the cigarette. “He thinks we were dating?” The thing lit, and she didn't bother to inhale, pulling it from between her lips. Lighting cigarettes before handing them out was a habit she'd picked up from Landon. He never liked the first pull, and thus allowed her to take it for him. “No, no, Tony and I never even slept together. He knew me back when I was married. Besides, he's more like an. . .”Her voice trailed off as she thought of a way to aptly describe it. “Icky older brother.”She clarified while simultaneously taking a childish stab at her old friend, standing on her tip-toes and extended the cigarette to Cartier's lips.

Stepping to the side so that she could see Charlie from behind Cartier Inali listened to what she had to say. Her mentioning of the Major had made Inali's lips curl into a tickled smile. Talk about coincidence, both of their minds were on the Major---This notion made Inali pause mid thought, pursing her lips as she looked away from Charlotte. What was the Major doing on her mind?

Catching on to how inane she was being Inali clicked her teeth and ran a hand through her hair. The feeling she just had, the likes of which she'd yet to pin a name to, was foreign and unlikeable. It made her stomach feel like it had bunched itself into a couple thousand knots and made her flush. The after math of the ordeal left her with a sick feeling and a sudden chill due to her body temperature returning to normal. Inali hoped she wouldn't have to deal with that alien feeling again any time soon.

“Now now Valentine.” Inali reprimanded. “We're all mad here.” She quoted. “Some of us more than others, but the fact still remains you know.” Inali put her own touch in with the line. She then turned to Charlotte, a small half smile on her lips though her eyes seemed to project more. “I'm afraid I can't say the same thing.” Inali didn't entertain the thought. She was the one who had argued Alistair's case to the Major and managed to get him aboard the ship.

If she hadn't asked the Major to bring him, the whole fiasco wouldn't have happened. Inali was surprised that the Major had even allowed her to pick another batch of inmates. Though, she wouldn't say that out loud. No need to vocalize those thoughts.

“Still, I can't help but wonder where that dinosaur went off to. Must'a' been walking and forgot where he was.” She stopped and looked around the room, as if checking to see if he wasn't there. Putting her hand near her mouth she whispered loudly. “He does that a lot.”

“...Icky older brother.” Inali replied, putting the cigarette to his lips. Cartier began smoking at an early age, his parents, trendy socialites such as they were meant there was quite a lot of smoking and drinking going on, and Cartier as a boy had followed suit. Stealing halfsies from the ash tray and sneaking sips during the many parties they threw. He took a long solid drag, the orange glow flaring to life. Exhaling through his nose he sighed, as if he had just hugged a long lost friend.

"Ah, I have one of those myself, as it were." he laughed, the cigarette flapping about as he talked. He looked like an old fashion card dealer, if only he could get his hands on one of those fashionable transparent green plastic hats, he'd be all the rage.

“Now now Valentine. 'We're all mad here.' Some of us more than others, but the fact still remains you know."

"Well when do we all sit down for tea?" he joked in between puffs. Inali's following comment to the newcomer got their attention.

~Ohhh, she's got a thing for crazies. How charming.

"The more I hear about this fellow, the more I like him. Where is the old stiff anyway?" Cartier really did want to meet him, and Valentine did too, if only due to it meant he'd be that much closer to getting out of the cuffs. "You would think he'd want to get the hard part out of the way."

"No, no, Tony and I never even slept together. . . Icky older brother.”

Tony laughed at that. Not to be rude mind you, but simply because he had not really seen Inaili that way, though that does not mean he did not know how attractive she was. He made a point to get that out of the way by saying. “Well no offence to the little Manita but I never saw her like that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blind she is quite stunning.” With that he gave the little one a bit of a wink. “But what can I say this girl is like family.”

Tony was quick to notice the word was in her sentence about her husband. As in past tense? Tony thought to himself. What the hell did I miss? He shot Inali a questioning glance but thought better of asking her out right. Best to save that conversation another time, preferably when they were finally free from this god awful place. Tony took a quick look around the area, this was a room he had never been in though that should be no surprise since he was one of the prisoners. Still he had expect the other rooms to be cleaner than the actually cell level, seems that he had been wrong.

“Cute and listen, Robby should have let us pick the first time around too. Would have saved us a lot of trouble huh?”

Tony smiled toward Charlie as she came up to the group. His smirk back as he looked at her eyes again, they had looked even more exotic with her hair in a mess as they had their fun. “Oh well I would have to say so, you did find me on your own darlin’.” He had clearly completely forgotten her warning from across the room, either that or figured he had little to worry about.

"You would think he'd want to get the hard part out of the way."

Tony shrugged as the others pondered the location of their dear captain. Tony moved over to the site and grabbed one chair and moved it in front of another and sat down bringing his feet up to rest on the other chair. He let out a contented sigh as he leaned back, “Well ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know what’s keeping your dear old leader, but when he does get here you let him know that this is one legend he can’t do this mission without.” He grinned up at the small group in front of him and bowed a bit in his seat.

"Smartasses" muttered Rogers, as he pulled the headphones from his head and raised the one finger salute to the monitors. Yes, there were cameras in the main gate, after all, this was a penal colony, there were cameras everywhere and cleverly hidden. His two helpers had played the game well or were very paranoid (not that being so would surprise him greatly, or at least not as much as hearing that Charlotte had apparently gotten some from one of her picks. It was good to know that girl was loosening up). In any case, it was time to collect them and get back in space. There was some backwater waiting for them, with a half finished training facility and a PDF regiment to help out.

"Open it" he said to the Provost, as the Major ducked out of the booth. A few seconds later, the heavy locking mechanism of the door clicked opened and the metal portal swing open. Setting his mouth into a thin line, he walked into the waiting area with long, floor eating strides. Following behind were his firebug, killer and disturbed ex-Intel officer. Dark blue eyes scanned the assembled faces, looking closely for signs of weakness that a computer image just couldn't convey on a screen.

"I see we have a couple extra convicts" spoke Robert in a loud and commanding voice, clasping his hands behind him, "That was a smart idea, to bring back ups, just encase your picked didn't meet my expectations. For those of you, who don't know me, I am Major Robert Rogers and I am your ticket out of here. As you've probably been told, you complete this mission and your record is wiped clean. I wont lie to you, I don't expect most of you to get that pardon. This is a mission that the top brass, isn't willing to send highly trained commandos on but they'll let you try it. Anyone that wants out now, can go back to your cell. Anyone still willing to stick around and follow my orders, stand up and introduce yourself.....to this dinosaur."

Charlie’s gaze shifted towards Toni after his comment, and slowly a sly grin graced her lips, and her eyes held a mischievous light. “Of course.” She started, sounding nonchalant about it, momentarily forgetting the others in the room. “Though I guess that kind of make you the cabana boy in that scenario huh?” She said almost teasingly, and her gaze challenged that he could try and prove her wrong later if he was man enough.

“Well ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know what’s keeping your dear old leader, but when he does get here you let him know that this is one legend he can’t do this mission without.” She heard Toni say, and one brow rose quizzically, and unimpressed. Walking closer towards him, she pulled the chair out from under his feet, flipped it around and sat in it herself. “You might want to cut the cocky bullshit.” Charlie advised in a neutral tone. “Boss man doesn’t suffer anyone else having more testosterone than him in his immediate vicinity. Makes him cranky.” She finished on a more humorous note. She liked her bed buddy, to a point. He was worth a laugh, and had already proved worth a good tussle as well. Preferably, she’d like to keep him around for more than five minuets. “And here he comes now.” She muttered, watching the Major come in through a door with three other convicts.

She listened to the Major’s little speech, looking over at the two she’d brought. The Latina chick, Anita, didn’t waver, and looked down right bored. Her whole posture screamed “Just shut up and give me the details geezer!”, and she looked the poster child for impatience. Twitchy guy, Johnny, however didn’t look quite so confident, but also didn’t make a move to leave. He was a dead man either way, so better to at least have a chance right? As the Major finished up, Charlie’s eyes narrowed testily and she muttered out almost in a hiss “Knew it!”

Re: The Lucky 13 chapter two

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Inerio on Sun Mar 14, 2010 1:29 am

Inali almost wanted to say something grave to Cartier like ”There is no tea where we're going.” Which may not have been true. However, the thought of a tea party made the whole thing sound a bit too delightful. On the abrupt occasion Inali's mind would shift dramatically to a more serious state of mind. She had to take the mission more seriously, or this batch of new comers would probably go up in flames too. Inali couldn't be careless a second time.

However, those thoughts were dismissed. She didn't like feeling serious. It in turn made her feel depressed, and Inali liked to stay away from that emotion. It was useless, there was no need for it. Not to mention that a sad face was usually synonymous with an ugly one. As her mother had once told her “Don't cry, you look ugly when you cry. Absently Inali scraped her tongue on her teeth, her whole mouth tasted like nicotine. At least it could mask the bitter taste that had formed in the back of her throat.

Her current train of thought was thrown off by the sound of a opening door. Her head immediately turned in the direction of the sound, almost in a hopeful manner. Though, Inali would deny that claim, she wasn't some damn puppy or anything like that. She was just happy that the interviews would start so that she could leave. The place wasn't exactly paradise, and she would be more than happy to get the hell back to the ship so she could take a cat nap. Of course, by cat nap she meant have sex.

“. . .stand up and introduce yourself.....to this dinosaur."

Inali had caught on to the last part of the statement. That coupled with Charlie's hissed out knew it clashed together in her brain. For a moment her mind fiddled with the two, as if she was trying to fit all the shaped pegs in their proper holes. Finally her mind had managed to put two and two together and her mouth opened in one of those 'hey' kind of looks.

“He could hear us the whole time couldn't he?” She whispered to Charlie, a self loathing smile trying to form on her lips as she bit down on the lower of the two. At this point she was going to need to reapply her lip-gloss for the umpteenth time that day. Still, despite the answer a voice in the back of her head scoffed. He doesn't need to like you to still have sex with you.

“Though I guess that kind of make you the cabana boy in that scenario huh?”

Tony couldn’t help but get a grin on his face from that remark. He had a feeling him and Charlie may be seeing more of each other later on and gave her a look that told her so. But he was more concerned about getting the hell out of this place. Having Inali seemingly already a part of the crew, seemed to tip the odds more into his favor but he was leaving nothing to chance. He knew he had to get the final say from this Major they kept speaking of, but if that Charlie and Inali was true then the Major may be looking for more the rational minds than the crazy psychotics.

Tony watched as Charlie came to him after his request to the others, he knew she had to be up to something. And almost at the exact time he had finished that thought she had grabbed the chair from under his feet. Tony gripped the seat of the chair to keep from sliding off and short Charlie a bit of a annoyed look. Then she began to lecture him.

“You might want to cut the cocky bullshit....Makes him cranky.”

The send made Tony smile a little bit, he knew she was trying to put an bit of humor into it but Tony knew a lecture when he heard one. Tony was about to speak when Charlie announced the Majors arrival. It took him a minute to decide wither it was best to stay seated or stand up as he entered. Tony decided he was not part of his little crew yet, he felt that gave me reason enough to remain comfortable while the Major made his speech In the end the speech consisted mostly the same things he had already known. Although the end seemed to annoy Inali and Charlie.

Then he had remembered all the old comments they and himself had made about the major. He couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. Of course the room is bugged, Tony thought to himself. What kind of prison would this be if they didn’t have eyes and ears everywhere. He though for a moment about if he should be concerned about him hearing his own old comments. Tony waved the thought off as he got up off his seat and made his way to the Major to introduce himself to the dinosaur. He was the first to do so. "Tony, Tony Romanino Major."

Cartier had re-seated and busied himself with smoking the cancer stick down to the filter. To allow the ash fall where it pleased, he was forced to lean forward slightly. Nobody said anything, he attributed this to the floor which was already plenty filthy. He almost completely ignored the others as they chatted amongst themselves. The shapely woman with the newspaper stole the chair away from Tony's feet, the two obviously had something going on. As it didn't concern Cartier, or Valentine, they simply smoked.

~I like Tony.
Really? You don't like anyone.
~I like him. I like you.
You have to like me.
~I don't have to do anything.
Aw, you're sweet.
~Don't tell anyone.
My lips are sealed, dumpling.
~Nevermind. I take it back.

He had just smoked passed the innocuous little logo near the end when the Major entered. Everyone's attention immediately shifting to the grizzled man in the monkey suit. Who instantly began speaking "way out of here" this and "certain death awaits you" that. His speech didn't matter, Valentine and Cartier were much more interested for the time being in the man who followed him in. His tattoos instantly giving away just who he was. This didn't please either of them.

"Red." Valentine sneered loudly, spitting the tail end of the cigarette to the dirty ground. If it hadn't have been for the cuffs, he would have crossed the room and broken the mans jaw on the spot. But that would have to wait. Being as black as he was, Cartier had been subject to several attacks, more than one of which had been by their little gang of racists. It had been Valentine's crazy factor that had saved their lives each time. Strong is one thing, but crazy goes a long way. Especially when it comes to utterly destroying your opponent, or rather opponents, such as it had happened. The delicate curls of smoke had just started to dance around his face as the switch was hit.

Valentine bit down on his tongue and gritted his teeth sucking back on his spit before letting the pressure snap his lips shut with a wet pop. He looked at little brown Inali, whose full attention remained on the major, and then to the Latino broad, who looked absolutely bored with the entire process. This would not do at all. No, no, no, no, no. Getting out of his seat again, his bare foot stomped on the still smoldering butt.

He took a few steps forward, till he was in the dead center of the group, staring down the Major's little friend. Valentine remained motionless, like an onyx statue, except the tongue which ran back and forth across his bottom lip. Tony had just begun to introduce himself to the Major as Valentine called out "Say, Major? Maybe you could help me out a little bit. These cuffs are beginning to chaff." The smile drawn across the handsome mans face did little to hide the intent behind his eyes, which remained dead locked on the supremacist.

Byronz had stood at ease as the Major eavesdropped on his unchaperoned crew. Taking in the different monitors for all the prison blocks, Byronz noticed a heating pot of coffee with styrofoam cups stacked beside it. Powdered creamer and sugar substitutes. Disgusting.

Turning up the heat on it's burner, Byronz poured a cup. Not drinking any of it.

The Major eventually stood and led the waiting prisoners to the main gate. Taking a quick headcount, Byronz gave the most prominent personalities a tag. Narcissist. Byronz started gesturing for the other men following the Major to stand in the group before them, stopping the Red to stand with them. No need to start anything. Sociopath. A few of the females muttered, he wasn't surprised, these many men just out of prison for God knows how long. Zealot. He'd be scared as hell if he were a chick. The large black man with the wide grin walked forward, taunting the Red. What the fuck was this?

Loosening his stance slightly, Byronz tilted his steaming cup of coffee towards the two inmates next to him. Civilians and their bullshit.

Rogers smiled inwardly, as he heard the hiss and whispers of his two leading ladies. Inali's sounded more like a blond just getting a simple joke and that was surprising, he had considered her to be very sharp. Maybe not the sharpest tool in the shed but far from the dullest. its true, you learn something new everyday it seems. Charlotte's realization was more amusing, around the same level as throwing a bucket of water on a cat to watch it yowl and showing the young woman to be quick on the uptake.

The first inmate to come forwards was a slicks character, naming himself Tony. The next two, Johnny and Anita and couldn't have made an odder pair and didn't say much. One of Inali's picks split, preferring to serve out the rest of his ten years, leaving three to step forwards. The Major was forced to reject another one of those, a tall Caucasian man, who suddenly fell to the floor and started to twitch (a few guards appeared and removed him). The remaining two, a woman of Indian decent named Juli in for murder and Rex, a large white male convicted of murder and assault while intoxicated, passed with flying colors when compared with the other fellow. The only one left was the very large dark fellow.....who was staring down his skinny racist and whom he had been ignoring until now.

"Yeah Major" sneered Stan, when he noticed the officer turning to face them, "Take the cuffs of the monkey. Its just no fun when they're all tied up."

"Now boys" said Robert, who had suffered a few dirty looks from the Red because of his bronze skin tone, "Theres a war on, lets save those urges for the enemy. Now I already know Stan Morris here, so whats your name big guy?"

His muscular form remained unmoving except for the slight rise and fall of his breathing, but Valentines eyes sparkled in the artificial light as they shifted to meet Robert's. He kept on smiling that same smile, though his perfect teeth may as well have been daggers. "I'm Valentine, Major. And I can tell you right now what kind of person little red riding hood over there is. He'll play pretend that he's tough enough for our band of merry mistrals until he's tasked with doing anything that requires a bit of a backbone. Unless you're planning to have him sneak up on an unarmed sleeping enemy with a gang of his friends, I don't think he'll be very combat effective if you catch my meaning."

Valentine stuck a foot out as far as his restraints would allow and touched it to the ground, taking a long sliding stride towards the pair. "Myself on the other hand, well, why don't you ask Mr. Morris here about his old friend Carl McClure, I think he'll be able to vouch just how strong this..." His eyes traveled back to the racist and narrowed as the grin grew even larger crinkling his eyes and causing the whites to disappear almost entirely "monkey really is." Both eyebrows gave a theatrical bounce as he emphasized the slur.

He stuck out his other foot, making another slick gliding step towards the Major. A move which brought the two men nearly face to face. Valentine's eyes traveled up and down the Major's body twice, smile unflinching, inspecting the military man. "You're one of the ones who got shot on the last little adventure, I can tell by the way you carry yourself. I know we would all hate to see that happen again because you trusted someone to watch your back who bases their hatred off of skin color. Hmm?"

He leaned forward slightly, Valentines hushed tone was like dragging silk through saw grass, barely loud enough for the Major to hear "Especially that pretty little thing. Something tells me she'd be most distraught of all." As his face removed itself from the Major's ear, Valentine's smile faded, replaced with a pitiful puppy dog look which lacked all forms of sincerity.

Valentine stepped back shrugging his shoulders and casting his hands out in innocent surrender "But! Far be it from me to tell you how to do your job. Just thought you might appreciate some honest advice. Now... About these cuffs?"
