You could, but the Warhammer is the most state-of-the-art ship in the entire Federation Fleet, and it had dozens of the Federations best scientists working on it, so unless your character winds up being better at his job than a commisioned team of specialists, he may be, for lack of a better term, useless.

Alrighty, everyone, with the acceptance of Legate's fighter pilot this RP closes off unless you are applying for the AI. First off, those of you who were creative and used Marine (or Army) ranks instead of the Navy ones I listed, hats off to you for thinking outside the box. Secondly, thanks everyone for showing so much interest in this RP, I hope we'll go well into it, possibly even finish it. And lastly, I've heard (as of this post) from two people who would want to play the AI, so I will wait until tomorrow (Saturday, November 29) for both of them to apply. If one has applied before I go to bed and the other has not, the applicated one will enter. If neither of them have applied by noon, I will message them both explaining everything, and the previous statement takes over. If neither of them have applied before Sunday rolls around, I will message them again stressing the first-come-first-served situation, and if neither of them apply by noon Sunday, I will play the AI. Which means I'll kick off this RP by Sunday at the latest.

Again, thank you all for the interest, and I'm glad to see you aboard.

Well, due to my current state, I feel that it is probably better if the other person takes on the role. I could create a character profile and I could met your expectations, but it would still be difficult due to my lack of access to a laptop (I'm on a computer temporarily right now, I was about to type up my profile) and it is probably better if the other person takes on the role, seeing as they wanted it in the first place. I merely was looking for a roleplay as I hadn't participated in one for months now (due to various issues such as loss of a laptop and internet going down) so I guess this is me turning the position down. I guess I'll have to wait a little more before I'll be roleplaying again.

Well then, now that we have the key people tied down, when can we expect to start?
Life is but a sea of evil hell fire and brimstone, and it is only up to you weather you fight it and stay true, or accept it and let it control you...But it either the beginning of an golden era, or the beginning of the end for us all...

Soon. Lloyd, I hate to see you turn it down, but if you believe you have to, I can't stop you. I'll message the other interested person and see how his progress is coming along, and we may be able to start tonight, but most likely it'll be tomorrow.

Hot DAMN, a Space RP that doesn't blow. Is this still accepting characters? Dude, I'm willing to do things you'd only get by paying extra at a Thai massage parlor if you're still accepting.

XD Seriously tho, I've been wanting a good scifi RP since forever, and have been denied time after time again. I have my own race wrote up in moderate detail that I'm more than happy to PM to you. Please, for the love of every Space Opera franchise past, present, and future, say you're still accepting :D

Not my RP but I`d love to have a player with this kind of enthusiasm. Maybe we need a Chief Engineer or a Squadron Leader?

I was hoping you'd say Engineer :D tho preferably not "chief" engineer. If I can have my way with things, I had hoped my character would be taken on as a sort of diplomatic representative. An extended hand from a newly discovered race trying to worm it's way into the stars, and attempting to show that they are willing to aid the Federation in return for help with their own little planetary issues.

Hey all,

I have been offered the role of AI, one which I shall graciously accept. I look forward to meeting and roleplaying with you all, I know this shall be a blast. After all mankind has dreamt of the stars since the moment we stood on two feet and looked to the heavens, what better way to let our imagination run wild than with this sort of RP. The sooner this starts the better.

Bane.

I agree with you, Legate, that enthusiasm is hard to say no to. Tell you what, I'll take a look at whatever character you write up (feel free to browse through our current list so you don't double up on someone), and we'll go from there. If it absolutely blows me away, you're in. If I feel like the Warhammer could really use your character, you're in. If I like it, but there are some things wrong with it, you'll have until my first post (THE first post)(I may give you a little spare time) to fix it, and then you have a 50/50 chance. If I don't like, or your character has the same job as another, I'll have to say no. Sound like a deal?

UPDATE: We have our AI, and having played an AI myself, he's impressive. So Raidose, I will most likely get my post in before I go to bed tonight (4-6 hours from now), if not earlier. That's your timeline. If you're done before then, I may post a little earlier, but if not, you have until I go to sleep. Good luck.

Awesome! I know Unseenshadow2 took engineer, tho that's not really a job only one person carries out. So, would Sol mind having an underling?

I wrote up everything for a past RP that died pre-birth, so I have to edit a few things for my bio. Not too much of an issue seeing as I'm a huge night owl, but I also had an idea. Can there be a forum section set up for details on the various races we create?

Well, pretty much everyone who made a race explained the biggest things in their character, and Sol is an Ensign, so underling may not be the best position there. You two could be friends from the Academy, or just classmates, or something, but you had best cover it with him first. If he's not online, I'll go ahead and put up the first post, and give you leeway time until you two get things cleared.

Well, what was suppose to be a simple edit job turned into 80% of the whole damn sheet. I reread it and just wasn't happy about the character I originally made, so.... yeah, that took a good portion of the night. I'll have the history up in a bit, just wanted to get the rest in now in case the site crashes again.

Raidose, I live in fu*king Florida, I haven't had to bring out the winter close yet, and I love winter, I feel your pain.

Also, I would like to apologize ahead of time. I tend not to do colorful and or artsy posts simply because I don't really have the ability to create something like that, the little talent that I have goes in to my writing.

Hey Booker, appreciate your posts man but please allow me to dictate who and when Mat bioscans, and what any of his other actions are. Obviously if it's a command like 'bring up bay 3' then its safe to assume that's exactly what Mat would do, but if Mat wanted to scan your soldier (which he does incidentally) then as his writer I feel I should initiate the action. Let us please assume the last part of your post involving Mat voided, that would be great.
