i have a few ideas for zanpakuto abilities, but i don't know your character so i can't really help :P

heh heh, well here's a random Zanpakuto idea:

Flash Fire: Send a sword-shaped blade of flames at the enemy.
Incinerate: The blade turns to pure fire and burns anything it touches with at least a 3rd degree burn.
Bankai: You grow wings of fire that can sheidl you from the coldest temperatures. Your sword grows to twice its size and becomes engulfed in flames burning at 300 Degrees F. As a last ditch attempt, you can fuse the Zanpakuto with your body to turns yourself in a being of fire and instantly burn anything that you touch, but after prolounged use, the fire will slowly burn away. The weaker the fire, the less powerful your Zanpakuto becomes when it turns back and if the flames go out before you revert your Bankai, you lose your Zanpakuto blade and are left with the handle.

&cool idea XD kinda reminds me of Hitsugaya's zanpakuto except it's with fire and not ice.. haha ^^
