After years of living in the same gated community in Beverly Hills, California, five families have become closer than just neighbors. They spent years attending the same schools, and what began as play dates and birthday party invitations grew to sleepovers, shared holiday celebrations, and a tight knit bond that would remain in tact even after the children branched out of Beverly Hills. Though their friendship went without question, the distance between all of them as they headed off to schools and jobs on different sides of the country made getting together difficult. This Christmas, they're all going to be back together, but this time, in New York. Kevin Lee, real estate tycoon, recently scored a major deal when he purchased the renowned Plaza Hotel in New York City. As a congratulatory gift to himself, he deemed the ten bedroom penthouse suite of the hotel as a vacation home for his family and has invited the families to come stay for the holiday. Although all twenty children and ten adults will be spending Christmas Eve in New York, the five couples will be departing during the early hours of Christmas morning to catch a flight to North Island, Seychelles, where they will be holidaying. The twenty old-friends, will then, be left to spend their four week holiday in New York on their own, but picking up where they left off might not be as easy as it seems.

I try not to go crazy with rules. We're all here to write on our leisure time and I don't want to ruin that for anyone by going into dictator mode. However, I do ask that you respect these few requests so our story can run smoothly.
✽I would prefer not to change face claims but am not completely against doing so. If you have a face claim in mind that you would like to switch with one of mine, just send me a message so I can confirm that I'm okay with it beforehand.
✽If you see a character that you would like to play, just let me know in the OOC section of our roleplay. Let me know what your favorite color and type of candy is, so I can see that you took the time to read these. Don't hesitate to try out for a character that others are trying for. Until it is listed as "taken" on the main screen, it is open for your bidding ;).
✽I think it is fair to ask to see three posts per week. If I notice that you are falling behind, I will PM you. If this happens consistently, your character will be written out of the story. The most important part of this bullet is to please let me know when you aren't going to be posting for more than one week. Invest some energy in our roleplay or don't join!
✽I absolutely adore creativity and diversity, so if you have a cool idea for a character, relationship, scene, etc., please go ahead and share it with me or the group. I appreciate a bit of respect as the GM when it comes to the final say, but for the most part, I would love for this to be a roleplay where everyone's making an effort to keep the story alive.

As you can see, no fancy character code here. I'm not a master coder and prefer to give writers the ability to be creative with their sheets. So, please just include the following factors and format the character layout in whatever way your little heart desires ;). One more thing... I haven't written with you in the past so I don't know how great of a writer you are. Please show this to me in your character sheet, or if you aren't one to put a whole lot of detail there, send me a sample post you would write for your character. Whatever is easier.
