PERSONALITY

Image

ImageDespite being raised as a threat to society, Elsa was brought up with an air of grace and elegance that one might expect a Queen to have. Although this is one of her best traits, it is also one that hinders her. Oftentimes she will withdraw into herself and perhaps hold back from doing something she might want to do because it could be deemed 'inappropriate'. As a Queen she stands tall under the weight of her crown and the expectations that come with it. To some this could make her seem a little snobbish or uptight. The longer she is kept indoors, forced to pretend she is something she is not, the more she gets the urge to 'let it go' again (what prompted her to take off for this second time; see history).

Despite her early-in-life insecurities about her powers, Elsa has come to embrace her gifts and learn to control them. She is still learning on this front, and it is quite common to see her struggling with them every now and again-- something she is easily embarrassed over. Rather than show her weaknesses, Elsa is prone to shutting people out of her life or locking herself away for short periods of time (a byproduct of how she grew up and learned to cope). In more ways than one she could be considered a ticking time bomb. She strives hard to be the ideal queen her people deserve, and worries endlessly over the impression she gives off. She never wants to be seen as the monster she still secretly thinks she is, or can be.

Her tendency to push people out aside, she is still very loving and caring. She would do nearly anything for her sister, whom she loves more than anyone (including herself). In contrast to her sister's bubbly nature, Elsa is definitely more laid back and observant. She has a quiet intelligence that is only brought forward when needed rather than flaunted about for all to see. This is due in part to her down-to-earth and peaceful nature, and part to her hidden insecurities. She does not like to be judged, and yet she feels that everything she does-- especially using her powers-- is.

A side most people don't get to see in the Snow Queen is how artistic and playful she is. Under all the uptight airs is still a young woman who loves to impress and entertain her little sister. She wants desperately to be the best role model for Anna and to show her that regardless of their beginnings, the two will be close again. Although her powers are based in snow and ice, and she has been known to come off cold, the Queen of Arendelle continues to have a warm and open heart.

Strengths and Weaknesses of Her Abilities:
"Elsa is most iconic being the Snow Queen, and as such, she has complete and total control over cold temperatures and the element of ice and snow (also known as cryokinesis and frigokinesis). With her abilities (that she was apparently born with), Elsa can conjure up and shape various things from snow flurries to blizzards. Most of her powers are unleashed via her hands, and controlled by her emotions. If she's happy and at peace, her powers would be under her complete control, but if she's stressed or fearful, she will lose control and cause great harm to those around her.

In the beginning, she was able to turn the entire castle's ball room into a winter wonderland. She is also able to create enchanted snowmen (both large and small), ice structures such as her ice palace, deadly blizzards as mentioned above, and more. She's also been seen being able to move ice structures at will. It also appears that her control extends to almost all forms of winter weather, as she was able to create a snow cloud for Olaf at the end of the film, and manipulate windstreams to some degree. Interestingly, it would seem that nearly her entire being can conjure ice and snow, as seen when she flees across the fjord - the water immediately starts to freeze the moment her foot touches it.

It also appears that her powers depend on which emotion she feels; if she is in sorrow, all the snow particles in the air stand still as if in a state of suspended animation, while anger creates a similar effect to fear but with an offensive direction instead of chaotic versatility. It is shown that if she casts her magic on a living being directly, the victim will not only freeze to death, but slowly transform into an ice statue, and the process only hastens if they are in cold conditions. While the curse can be removed if the magic affects the mind, the heart is the most vulnerable and if this is the case, the victim can only be cured by an act of true love. While Elsa had thought she cannot undo the frosty effects she creates, it is revealed that that she is capable of removing such curses through her love for others, as it is the warmest emotion of all. She can use her powers to create precise effects other than manifesting ice and snow, as she made several color changes to her and Anna's dresses, using flowers that were in the room at the time, and integrated them into their gowns using crystalline ice. She was also shown to create ice sculptures out of thin air and reshape them in any way she wanted."

RECENT HISTORY
Image

ImageMost Recently
Elsa grew up as an isolated child, emotionally abused by her parents and ostracized from her kingdom because she was different. She was taught to fear her powers by her parents from a very young age. It was not until she was 22 that her parents met an untimely end, and subsequently freed the now Queen. Unused to so many people, and after her sister tried to marry a stranger, Elsa accidentally revealed her powers. She fled from her kingdom, afraid and ashamed - effectively freezing over the entire city. Thanks to her sister Anna, she was able to find peace with herself and her powers, and returned home to rule for two years in peace as an independent Queen. Now 24, her advisers are insisting that she marry-- for the kingdom needs an heir and her sister Anna is already married! Rebelling once again, the Queen of Arendelle has run off once more from her fears and taken shelter in a strange little town where she heard she could be her true self without being judged.

She has opened up an ice cream shop in the heart of town and resides in the studio apartment above it on Main Street. Knowing that she is across an ocean in a remote location, she is confident that no one from home could possibly find her here. In this new town she is testing out what it is like to live among regular people with powers. She has decided to take a gamble and be open and honest about who she is for once in her life. If she has to go home and marry for the kingdom, she wants to at least experience what life is like being herself, by herself first. Away from the palace, her sister, and the weight of her crown... she is excited to see who she can be now that she is finally free to be herself.

"Let it Go"

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I'm the queen.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!

Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know!

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door!

I don't care
What they're going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!

It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry!

Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the storm rage on!

My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back,
The past is in the past!

Let it go, let it go
When I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone!

Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!

So begins...

Dialogue Color: #ff2929 || Location: Ruby's Cafe/Diner

ImageRuby stood behind the counter of her cafe early in the morning waiting for her new employee, Gretel Fischer to arrive. Around this time everyone in town was beginning to wake up but as for Ruby, she always seemed to find herself awakening at the crack of dawn. It was something she never seemed able to understand.

The air was slightly chilled from the light fog that was beginning to lift itself from the ground and dissipate into the air as the sun rose higher into the sky. It was cold enough to send slight shivers throughout your body but not bad enough that you needed to cover yourself. This was the kind of weather Ruby always loved. Not too hot, not too cold. But of course she knew it was going to warm up in the afternoon, it was summer after all. She was just glad that summer was going to be coming to an end soon.

Ruby finally got everything in the diner ready for the day and she stepped into the kitchen and began cooking up her father's breakfast. He always asked for the same thing, sausage, eggs, biscuit, and even a waffle or pancake, depending on what his mood is like when he wakes up. She loves helping out her father, but she just wished he would return to himself so she wouldn't have to be waiting on him like this every morning, he would just be able to come to the diner when he wanted to. But either way, she knew she shouldn't complain. He would do the same thing for her, well, she hoped he would anyway.

Just as she finished cooking her father's food, she wrote and note and placed it on the counter in the diner just in case Gretel got there before she returned from bringing her father his wanted breakfast. The note read: Gretel, I will return soon until then keep the front door locked and feel free to get yourself a drink and what not. When I return I will start you on your training, won't take long.

Ruby walked the ten minutes back to her home, the big house in the middle of Crimson Grove, her father was the mayor. She stepped inside and made her way up the stairs pass her room, Belle's room; she seemed to still be sleeping, and finally arrived to her father's room. Ruby knocked on the door a couple times before opening it up and speaking, "I have your breakfast," she stated as she set it down on the small table in his room. "I need to return to the diner, I'm training a new girl today. If you need anything have Belle get in touch with me. I love you Pa," she stated before turning on her heels and beginning on her way back to the diner.
Image
As Ruby walked through the empty streets, it seemed as if things were starting to pick up for the day's busy schedules most people had. She just hoped she wouldn't run into Flynn Ryder any time today. The past couple of days he has been trying to take things from her, but of course she was always able to sense him coming close to her without even being within four feet from her. That was always one of the things she enjoyed about being a wolf. But no matter how much she enjoyed the good parts, the bad parts were nothing she would want to put up with.

Just thinking about what she is capable of, the things she has done just makes her sick to her stomach. The brunette finally reached the door to the diner and she stepped in, opening the diner for business. She slid the hood off her head, though she kept the red, silk cloth draped around her body. This was the last thing she had from her grandmother and it was so much more important than some sort of remembrance item. She just hoped nobody would find out.

"Gretel, are you here?" she called out to the empty diner, hoping that she would come across her somewhere in the building.

Despite the end of summer warmth in the morning outside, inside Elsa's bedroom the air was standing still. Snowflakes hung suspended in the air. White mist rolled from slightly parted lips as the Snow Queen slept peacefully in her bed. Undoubtedly the frigid temperature had leaked into the rest of the apartment by now, down into the ice cream shop below. When blue eyes part to meet the morning rays coming in through her frost-covered window, it takes her a moment to remember where she was. Like every morning, a part of her still thought she was back in Arendelle. Once she was fully aware of herself, Arendelle's Queen slowly pulled herself from the tangle of her covers. She had to get showered, dressed, and make some breakfast for her adopted wards. Her wards! "Oh!" They were probably freezing to death! Leaping from the blankets, bare feet quickly pad across the frozen floor toward the bathroom. She needed to shake off whatever dream had her freezing the apartment! On her way there she stopped by the thermostat to turn it up a few degrees. "Sorry," she muttered to herself, since they couldn't hear her. Yet another reminder as to why she'd never be able to really have someone around all the time. What if she froze them in her sleep?

She showered quickly and made her way to the kitchen. The three were still asleep, though probably thankful to have the piles of blankets she had given them for just this very reason. Some mornings were better than others. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast and juice. Whirls of wind and ice danced around the kitchen, maneuvering pots, pants, wisps, and plates. "Good morning, sleepy heads," her voice calls from the kitchen, trying to tempt the younger people to awake from their warm blankets. With breakfast served, Elsa sat herself in the window seal. A warm cup of tea rest between her palms, able to stay that way thanks to her concentration and practice. She no longer had no control over her abilities, and the more she used them, and the more people accepted her, the better she got. Thoughtful blue eyes searched the street below as the sleepy city began to wake up. "I was thinking of going to the beach today," she mused to no one in particular. "Summer's nearly over... I figure we won't have very many days like this left. I thought we might get a basket of food to go from Ruby's diner to make it a picnic. What do you think?" Again, the question wasn't really addressed to anyone specific in the room, really towards anyone awake enough to answer her. "Oh, and Amelia... do you mind opening the shop this morning? I want to take a look in the woods. I heard from Mrs. Net that there's a strange wildflower growing there. I'd like to go see it, I think." It wasn't a very convincing lie.

Perhaps they would know that in truth she just wanted to have some time to herself to play around with her magic without freezing them to death. Perhaps they wouldn't. Either way, she doesn't offer to elaborate further on it. "What did you have planned for today?" She asks all of them, eyes touching each of them rather briefly before returning to the street below once more.

Image
Antonio was up earlier than the whole town, it was a slight routine for him. He'd get up real early most days since he got here during dawn when the sky was just being painted pink and purple by the rising sun and run for a couple of hours. The running seemed to calm the wolf in him so if anything happened during the day that made him upset he could easily control the wolf. It also worked as a stress reliever and somewhere where he could think. He was really grateful for Elsa letting him, his sister and Rapunzel crash there and so he was going to do whatever he could to help her out.

The spot of choice today was the woods where he felt more at home than anything. The sound of twigs breaking under his feet echoed throughout the quiet woods where birds could be heard chirping in the distance. His breath was even, calm almost which would be surprising to any human because any human would have been struggling to keep their breath even at the speed he was going. His feet skillfully knew where to step while he used his hands to help him leap over any fallen logs or obstacles in his way. Running was the only time Andy ever felt truly free and it was amazing, the wind in his hair and hitting his bare chest, honestly this guy never runs without his shirt off and if you asked him why he'd just say it was restricting.

By the time Andy decided to finish his little morning run the sky was in full light and the sun hung above him. Reaching up to shield his eyes from the low glow of the sun he stared at it with a fond smile before the sudden growl of his stomach snapped him back to reality. He quickly patted down his pants then smiled when he found his wallet. He opened it and flipped thorough a couple of bills before smirking. "Yes! Food money." he blurted out in a rather cheery tone.

Pocketing his wallet, Antonio nodded to himself as he mentally confirmed that he was off to the diner and with that he began to jog out of the woods. It only took a couple of minutes before he was out and deiced to take a short cup and sprint through the park. Now he wasn't trying to show off or anything, honestly he just likes parkour so while his little sprint through the park he hopped over a bench with an old lady sitting on one side. He seemed to startle her, "Oh, sorry miss!" he managed to say while stopping momentarily before resuming his run which he scared off some feeding birds in the process.

With the diner in sight Andy slowed his run once more to a jog. Opening the door, he walked in panting low, his chest rising and falling. He walked over to a booth and decided to catch his breathe before attempting to order food or not it would sound something like this. F-Food, insert panting here, a-and water, before I die. Now he wasn't that exhausted but he wasn't going to take the chance of sounding like and idiot. Spotting Ruby and Gretel he instantly perked up and waved at them. "Morning ladies!" he managed to flash her one of his genuine smiles.

Image"Good morning, sleepy heads," were the first words she heard when waking up. Those words to her were still foreign but nice. She was never use to someone other than her brother waking her up and took her some time to adjust to it. Amelia's eyes fluttered open slowly and murmured a good morning before noticing that she couldn't move her arms. Blinking the sleep from her eyes she looked down at herself to see that she was wrapped up like a burrito in a big fluffy blanket, no question that it was Andy's doing. He always watched over her and it was because of him that she rarely got hurt or sick.

Sighing and shaking her head, Amelia began to struggle and wiggle out of the blankets and once she was out she gave a sigh of huff of relief. "Damn wolf boy" she said to no one while pushing herself up from the floor. Looking around she noticed Rapunzel still on the couch but Antonio no where to be seen. She scanned where he slept and noticed his shirt on the ground and things clicked in her head. "Looks like Andy went out for his morning run," she picked up the shirt he was wearing last night and flashed it at Elsa. "Without his shirt again." she chuckled shaking her head and folding the grey t-shirt.

"I was thinking of going to the beach today," From the bathroom Amelia answered with her toothbrush in mouth. "Oh yeah?" she questioned before spitting out and rinsing her toothbrush and proceeded to splash some water in her face. "Summer's nearly over... I figure we won't have very many days like this left. I thought we might get a basket of food to go from Ruby's diner to make it a picnic. What do you think?" exiting the bathroom Leai enter the kitchen and took a piece of toast with butter. She bit into it before responding. "Actually Elsa," she took another bite and swallowed. "An afternoon swim sounds pretty good." she smiled towards her way. "Right Rapunzel?" Her blue orbs now switched over towards the blonde.

"Oh, and Amelia... do you mind opening the shop this morning? I want to take a look in the woods. I heard from Mrs. Net that there's a strange wildflower growing there. I'd like to go see it, I think."

With her head turning back over to Elsa while she poured herself a cup of tea Amelia nodded eagerly with the biggest smile on her face. "Yeah, sure boss!" she answered rather excitedly. Oh wow, she's letting me open the shop today! Freaking awesome. Her thoughts were happy enough as a small smile appeared on her lips while taking a sip of her tea, trying to hide her excitement.

Rapunzel woke up with her legs curled up to her chest, her blonde hair sprawled over her pillow and left over drool in the corner of her mouth. Her body was physically shaking from the cold temperature of the house."Good morning, sleepy heads,"She heard Elsa call from an unknown room. That caused Rapunzel to smile to herself. It reminded her of her 'Mother, Gothel'. Rapunzel stretched up wearing one of Antonio's shirts. She was thankful that him and Amelia took her in and helped her out."Good morning Elsa." Rapunzel spoke slightly louder to make it known that she had heard her. As she unwillingly pulled the warm blankets off of her body she walked towards a godly aroma of food. As she walked past the bathroom she noticed Amelia brushing her teeth. "Good morning miss Amelia." She said giving the girl a bright warm smile. She walked past her, her feet gliding across the cold floor which sent goose bumps up her petite legs. Rapunzel noticed once she entered the kitchen that Antonio was no where to be found. That caused her smile to falter the slightest bit. It wasn't noticeable, at least she didn't think it was. Rapunzel's attention was drawn to Amelia's voice from what she assumed was still in the bathroom,as she spoke "Looks like Andy went out for his morning run,". Rapunzel laughed lightly and sat down at the table. "I was thinking of going to the beach today. Elsa said. "Really! Iv'e never been to a real beach before." Rapunzel stated with excitement in her voice.""Actually Elsa, an afternoon swim sounds pretty good.Right Rapunzel?" Rapunzel looked up from the plate she was devouring to nod her head rapidly. She swallowed quickly to reply, Yes I could use some sun." She laughed as she showed the others her pale legs. Rapunzel looked back to the talking women and smiled at them. Once they finished their discussion Rapunzel spoke up. "Elsa I wanted to thank you again for allowing us to share your house with you. You're a very generous person." Her pale eyes scanned Elsa's face.

Elsa held lightly to her tea cup as the other ladies in the apartment began to come to life. "Good morning Elsa." The blonde is rewarded with a small smile from behind a cup. As she had mentioned the beach, Rapunzel seemed to brighten. "Really! I've never been to a real beach before." I've only been a few times myself, since coming here," Esla softly confessed.

"An afternoon swim sounds pretty good. Right Rapunzel?""Yes I could use some sun." She had to smile. It was good to see the two getting along, almost like sisters. "Good, then we will go later." She stood with the finality of it and crossed the apartment to put away her cup and rinse it out as she awaited Amelia's answer. It was quick to come."Yeah, sure boss!" Relieved, Elsa glanced up from the sink to give her a thankful smile. "Thank you. I won't be long, I hope. I'm sure you'll manage, hm?" Her tone rose slightly, edging on playful.

She crossed over to the door and stooped down to pull her shoes on as she heard Rapunzel's voice from the bar."Elsa I wanted to thank you again for allowing us to share your house with you. You're a very generous person." The sincerity and kindness gave her pause. She looked up from putting on her boots and gave the girl with impossibly long golden hair a shy smile. "If you want to see a change in the world, you have to be the change.... I heard that somewhere, once... Probably in a book." Deflecting, as usual. "I won't be gone long... enjoy breakfast. If the freezer gives you any trouble, just kick it."

A confident nod and smile, then she slipped from the apartment, down the long stairs into the shop and out the front door. The sun was already warming the pavement, but it didn't stop the air from cooling a few degrees in her direct vicinity. Across the sidewalk there stood a couple chatting-- one exotic looking female and one very lost looking male. The tiger at the girl's side drew Elsa's stare for a moment, but she didn't make to cross the street and introduce herself. What would she say, anyway? It wasn't like she was the town welcoming comity.

Keeping to herself, she continued through town to the edge, then further still into the woods. She had only just gotten deep enough to lose sight of most of the town when a howl echoed through the woods. She stopped short, glancing behind her.

What was that?

ImageFlynn smirked when he heard her bring up Maude's. That was an amazing day, one of the best the two of them have ever done. "I'll give you a chance at feeling the adrenaline this time I had too much fun at Maude's," he responded as he stood to his feet and pulled out the matches from his pocket, showing them to Gold very briefly in a way no one else would notice before stepping into the male's restroom.

Flynn looked up at the ceiling for the water spicket before lighting the match and holding it up to the spicket, waiting for it to signal that there was a fire in the building. Just as the water began running out the spicket in the bathroom, he ran out the door, acting as if there were a real fire in the restroom and pulled the fire alarm, setting off that loud, annoying beeping sound and activating the other water spickets in the building. "There's a fire!" he shouted over the loudness in the building before heading out the door with the rest of the crowd. That's when he gave Gold their signal. It was now her turn.
