Introduction

You were born with a tattoo of a dragon, making you destined to be a dragon rider. You've been training for it all your life. Now, the king is issuing a call for more dragon riders. What could be looming on the horizon that the king wants you all the fight for? We'll have to find out...

The story opens with all the dragon riders together at a meeting before they get to choose their dragons. All the dragon riders know each other, but haven't had much time to become friends due to training.

You can be a dragon rider or even a dragon. The dragons can talk, and are like their rider's best friend. However, this doesn't mean that they cant butt heads at first! If you think it will make it interesting, go ahead! Any questions, please ask. Also, an fyi, the dragon tattoo is the Icon for this roleplay. Enjoy!

Songrose stretched and patted Death one more time. "Good; I just need a little walk. That, and I don't know if you want to just lie aorund all day; might keep you from sleeping later tonight," she said, laughing quietly. She started walking into the trees, glancing at Death occasionally. "Well, there's also the fact that since we've gotten back home, we haven't had any time to ourselves. I mean, we could still talk without them hearing us, obviously, but I just thought a little time to talk without listening to them would be nice, you know?" She sighed quietly to herself. She loved her family, but sometimes she just needed a break from her mothers naggig, her brother's occasional complaining, and her fathers normal pointless comments.

Death stretched before getting up, placing her legs and claws so that she wouldn't fall down when she would stand. ''Sleeping at day won't really matter, even if I slept until an hour before I'd went to sleep again, I'd still sleep until the morning comes,'' she said with a chuckle and followed after Songrose as they walked away from the family. She liked being around Songrose, well, hating it wouldn't be a good thing anyway. And now she was alone with her, it felt more natural to her. She didn't mind the family of Songrose, just that they always seem to complain or nag at her, and it made her sometimes really angry. But, she held that anger back and instead just blocked out their voices. She knew Songrose would be alright anyway, and if her family ever dared to hurt her, Death would be there right away to make them back off again. She wouldn't let Songrose get hurt.

Death sighed softly, thinking about it.

''Being alone with you is nice. I enjoy our time together really,'' Death told the girl. ''You have grown so much. From so shy to... Well, like you are now, a beautiful young woman.'' Death smiled faintly and gave a soft nudge with her nose to Songrose.

Songrose shook her head. How a dragon could sleep for that long was beyond her. She could only sleep for so long before she had to get up and move. She paused, thinking on what Death had said. "...Not everything has changed. I still can't talk to strangers without stuttering...or hesitating, or whatever. This is family I've been talking to; that's a lot easier. But you..." She paused, grinned, and patted Death again. "You're practically a part of my thoughts now. How can I be shy around that?" She laughed quietly, glancing around. It was peaceful, compared to her family. Especially compared to the village she visited every now and then.

"And I'm not the only one changing. What happened to a hatred of humans? You seem to tolerate my family rather well."

Her hatred for humans seemed almost gone, even though she was weary of strangers. It was never something she had liked; just life as she was used to it. It was normal...what normal was supposed to be. "Yeah, well...I suppose we still have a bit of work to do. Death smiled and nodded. She looked up at the sky, it was blue, with a cloud drifting by. She smiled and looked at the trees around her and smiled. She swished her tail before she stretched her wings and folded them back on her back. Everything seemed to calm, different than what she had experienced a few days ago. She smiled, it made her feel calm too. She liked walking away, gave her time to think about certain things. Songrose could still use some work, socializing, but she had come quite far already, and it made Death proud.

Death looked at where she was patted and smiled at Songrose. "Of course Miss. We shall return back home," she said and grinned, a playful grin. Stretching her wings, she carefully picked up Songrose and flew up, but made sure her claws didn't hurt Songrose at all. She would never forgive herself if she would hurt Songrose.

Turning upside down, she looked at Songrose. Sticking out her tongue, she turned back. She saw the house and smiled. Lowering herself, she carefully landed and puts Songrose down.

Songrose was startled as Death suddenly picked her up, but relaxed quickly. Death wouldn't hurt her; not intentionally, anyway. She grinned at the dragon when she stuck her tongue out, thought uneasily. They hadn't flown upsidedown before, so this was a first. At least, they hadn't been upseidedown for very long before. Still, it was something she figured she'd have to get used to. Just something she'd have to be able to handle in case of a fight in the air. Still, she breathed a quiet sigh of relief when she was on the ground again.

"I"m guessing you're healing up nicely, if you can still fly while carrying me," she joked with a ltitle laugh.

Songrose nodded. "I"m sure they do; all the same, I'd rather not take any chances." Still, if she wanted to fly like that every now and then, how was she to stop her? Besides, she seemed well enough to fly. She glanced at Death, then back to her family. The house will be done soon enough. After everything we went through, this almost seems really boring...you know?"

Umm...I haven't seen the gm here in quite a while...not in this rp. Not sure what happened there. So tornado and I, who seem to be the only ones posting, don't have power to accept characters...someone else was looking at joining in, and said they'd talk to the gm...but never came back.

The King is the Rider yes. There were two riders, the Dark King and the daughter, thus so the little girl. Another journey sounds nice.
