The authorities here are hopeless. You want justice? You've got to go out and get it yourself. Or, if that's not an option, come talk to us. Who are we? We are Black Cat. We are vigilantes for hire.

So, you need help? Somebody hurt you? A family member? Somebody stole your car or vandalised your house? Good luck getting the cops to help. They're ridiculously corrupt, and unless you're prepared to pay a hefty bribe to the right person, you can say goodbye to getting any form of help. They'll say that they're investigating your case, but in reality, your case will get moved to the bottom of a very large pile, one that will probably never be cleared.

What, you're not happy with that? You want real, serious help? Well, you're better off looking to the streets in that case. If you can find the right people, they'll do a better job of dealing with the person who hurt you than the police ever could, no questions asked. Not for free, obviously. But the fee isn't half as much as it would be to bribe the police, and, best of all, you're not paying the police.

That said, you'd better be okay with vigilante justice. We're not going to just sit down and have a long, heartfelt chat with the perpetrator. You can either tell us what you want done, or simply tell us the crime, and we'll choose a punishment we deem fitting. The more dangerous it is, the more it'll cost you. Naturally enough.

You don't like vigilante justice? Fine by us. But let it be said, we're the only people who get things done around here. We're the only ones who cause anything to be done. The cops don't give a damn about that woman murdered two weeks ago, but they sure as hell love trying to catch us. We're a threat to them. Well, more often, we're a threat to the people that pay them, and they can't have that, now, can they?

Who are we? Most don't know our name. Most don't want to know our name. They just want the deal over and done with as fast as possible. We're completely anonymous, and that's the way we all like it. Names are powerful. But we can give you one name.

We are Black Cat. Vigilantes for hire.

For those unsure, this will be equal parts character and plot driven. It centers around the members of Black Cat and the various jobs they are given. Every member has their own reason for joining Black Cat. These reasons should be wide-ranging and unique, but don't have to be dramatic.

Image

No godmodding. All characters are human.
Keep the drama to the IC. If you have a problem with another member, try and sort it out over PM, and if that isn't working, I will act as a mediator.
There will be adult themes in this roleplay. If there is something that you're not comfortable with, please let me know. I don't want anybody leaving or being made uncomfortable when it could be avoided. It will remain just between you and me. I will not use names when talking to other members about it.
Similarly, if I ask you to change something because another member is uncomfortable, please respect that. Password #1 is a gif (500px width, 300px height max) of your character/face claim.
If you have to leave, please just message me, and I'll work out a way for your character to leave.
If you don't post for two weeks and don't give me some kind of reason, I'll assume you have left and will proceed as such.
Commitment would be nice.
Reservations to be posted in the OOC.
Relationships? Yes please. More drama! But keep it clean here, and normal RPG rules apply. Password #2 is their codename.
Violence is expected, but just don't get too graphic.
Enjoy!
To show you've read these rules, please include both passwords and your character's face claim in your reservation. Real FCs only, please.

As the rest of the Black Cats filtered in, Xandru sent little winks and nods as greetings, the hint of a fey grin touching his lips. He eased back into his chair, keeping one slate-grey iris affixed upon the visage of the client. Once the Black Cats were all in position, he indolently tilted his head as Nate spoke to the man, keen eyes flitting over the figure of the man decked up in a suit for tells and twitches.

"Alright, so, Mister...?" Xandru's fingers tapped out a nonsense rhythm out on the side of his thigh as Nate started the interrogation. With each word that rolled off the unnamed man's tongue, mercurial eyes narrowed ever-so-slightly as the capricious male slouched back against the backrest of his chair, leaning towards the armrest. Three thousand, each? A hefty sum, but rather suspicious, especially when the client in question offered up that much money for a mere intimidation job.

His phone buzzed in his pocket. The message was probably from Nate, seeing as his roommate just finished typing out something on his device. He gently nudged the other male, a slight worry for the mentality of the other seeping into his thoughts; Nate had been having more night terrors and this job wasn't the kind of job that the guy liked doing.

One by one, the other Black Cats spoke up for the job. With a smirk, almost condescending in nature but Xandru really didn't do disdain, he tilted his head, allowing himself to straighten up in his seat. Meeting the client's eyes head on, as if challenging the other's motivations, his lips parted. An exhale rippled from his mouth and he spoke in a languid drawl, though his eyes were no less fierce. "Ty's right. Your privacy's important and all, but I'd wager that none of us here'd like to jump the wrong man."

With a lazy stretch, more like an action of a panther than anything else, he continued, "And I'm with Wen on this. If at any time something happens because you weren't straight up about this job offer," he bared his teeth in a vicious grin, eyes glinting with a promise as his voice dropped to a smooth baritone, "I can assure you that your mistake would be the last mistake you'd ever make." And he would keep that promise if any one of the Black Cats came to harm in any fashion because of the client and his need for theatrical anonymity. The Black Cats looked out for their own.

Something about this job really wasn't adding up, but looking underneath the underneath was all well and dandy until you couldn't even see what was in front of your nose. Besides, even if this job proved to be challenging, Xandru was always up for a challenge.

"With that said..." He offered a disarming dimple, eyes crinkling in the typical duchenne smile, "I'm game."

His mind was already whirring through calculations and memos even as he lightly slouched back down. There'd need to be some people looking into this guy; maybe with facial recognition scans? If they got the name of his 'colleague', they could also pull up names that the colleague related to. Seeing as this was strictly intimidation, there was really no need to break out the big guns- But better to be safe than sorry. The Black Cats should also come to a consensus on how much of the intimidation factor they should pull, else it might become chaotic and detrimental to the whole of the group.

All in all, Xandru could foresee this job quickly devolving into a headache, but hey. Controlled chaos was what he was best at.

_____There are things you plan for and things that you don't. Jacqueline planned for her afternoon to be calm and nice. Perhaps a nice cup of coffee at the cafe around the corner, and them a metting with a new perspective client requesting the services of her ragtag group of coworkers. Espionage was not her strong suit, but she's a far cry better at it than her father attempted to prepare her for. Leon was an assassin, and nothing else. And while no one would quite call Jacqueline the most elegant speaker, someone somewhere contributed a bit of charm to her character.
But, no, the evening would not go this way, instead she found herself in an alleyway, surrounded by two now-dead men slouched against the wall of the closest building. She sported a couple of swollen knuckles and a now dirty knife and she placed her hand on the opposite wall to collect her breathing. Merde. What a mess. But that's the world they lived in now. Where someone could be walking down the street and attacked for whatever they might have. Unfortunately for these two gentlemen, Jacqueline was no easy catch. In hindsight, she could have beaten them and let them live. It was certainly possible. But she would be lying if she said that her career had left her more than jaded and simply eager to get the job done.
She wiped her hand across her face, pulling it back to see a feel drops of blood trickling from her nose. It would heal soon, despite the pain. She stood to her full height and dropped her head back to take a couple more calming breaths. She brought her hand up to her inside jacket pocket and drew out her black, circular glasses, her father's glasses, and placed them on her face to cover the worst of the damage. Brushing the small amount of dirt on her sleeve she bent over and wiped off her knife on the shirt of one of the dead men. Where they were going they wouldn't need clothes.
Her long, black hair hung down her back as she finally made her way to the meeting point, now inexcusably late, but she had a feeling she wasn't needed for anything other than solidarity and presence. She pressed on anyway. When she entered the bar, most of the patrons were already silent as if they knew what was taking place, but they became more so as the last member of the secret group walked slowly across the establishment. She knew the door and knew to knock a certain amount of times to be recognized and paid no attention to the eyes on her back. She'd been through enough.
The door gave silently with nothing but a small squeak and she entered silently, closing the door behind her. She looked at her comrades first, her face an emotionless mask as it always was in these meeting, in spite of her injuries. Her glass covered gaze then slid to their client. They all looked the same to her, just someone else who needed a job done that only they could do, and she was eager as the adrenaline left over from her scuffle still swam through her veins. She did keep her voice level as she looked over the room again,
"Pardon."
before taking the last available seat, assuming she would be filled in once the meeting was over. Her voice only slightly gave away her exhaustion as her voice sounded deeper than normal and her accent had always been rather thick.

It was as if Audrey couldn't stop smiling around Cenna in this moment and she felt like an idiot for it. Even when that sad little smile appeared on her friends lips Audrey couldn't help but to copy it as she remembered this one cat that she befriended when she was a kid. A white an orange tabby that she named Lily and who she loved for the two short weeks she had stayed in Michigan. "Would . . . Would you want to come in? I wouldn't mind company." Once again Audrey smiled but this time both at Cenna's invitation and cute Little hair twirl that she caught. "We have this St.Bernard that is the biggest sweetheart, and two pit bulls that are waiting to be chipped . . . adorable little guys . . . they were used for fighting but they made wonderful recoveries . . ." Cenna continued only to have Audrey's full attention, listening intently to every word as she followed behind her.

Audrey greeted the guy behind the desk with a short wave just to be polite but after Cenna shut him up Audrey knew something was up but she chose to follow Cenna like nothing happened because in all honesty, whatever it was it was non of her business and she wasn't going to get nosey about it either. If Cenna wanted to tell her she will, whatever it was.

Audrey wasn't ready for what she saw when she walked into that room with Cen. Her eyes slightly went wide as they landed upon that majestic beast. "Holy shit," she unintentionally blurted out. When Cenna mentioned exotic Audrey didn't think she meant a freaking hawk!! Audrey was so fascinated that she didn't notice the other guy until his finger was almost bit by the bird but even then she was more impressed by it's speed and how his finger barely got away. The bird started to get a bit upset while Audrey took a step to her left in order to let the guy pass as he sped walked the bell out of there, fear and anxiety written all over his face. Audrey couldn't help but to follow him out with her eyes, quietly laughing to herself before her attention was brought back to Cenna as she began whispering to the bird, calming him in French no doubt.

Being raised in New Orleans it's one of the many languages she grew up hearing so Audrey could easily point some out just by hearing someone speak. At this point she didn't know whether to admire Cenna or the bird so she did both when Cenna let him out of his cage. "He's a restless soul . . ." Cenna spoke as she smiled at Audrey making her stomach do a flop before smiling back. "I bet." Said Audrey now shifting her eyes to the hawk called charly, staring right into those observant eyes of his. Audrey then reached out her hand as her eyes softened and stroked its cheek feathers with no protest from the bird. It was as if in those brief moments, the two had established a silent understanding of each other.

"What do you think of the new mission?" Cen asked pulling Audrey from her little trance. She was quiet for a few moments, trying to figure out the right words to say. "Well for starters that guy reeks of suspicion. Second, I don't like his face." Audrey shrugged on that one giving one of her playful smiles before continuing. "Also, in all honesty I don't want to participate because I'm not fond of beating people up in a dark alley, it's not my area of expertise and I had my fair share of being the beaten in an alley but," Audrey paused once more this time thinking about her mother and how she'd be out soon so that money was mostly to help her."I need the money." She finished, the smile that was once upon her lips wiped from her face and replaced with a slightly sad expression also hinting a bit of distress as she rubbed the back of her head, eyes glued to the floor in thought. "Anyway, uhm," Audrey looked up again trying her best to cheer up again."Now that I have seen this majestic beast called the charly," she paused, stroking its head feathers once more. " I wanna see those little kittens!" She wiggled her fingers cutely in a grabbing motion.

The interactions between the Black Cat members and the client had been rather... Humorous to say the least. Threats had been made to the man offering much more money than was needed for a simple task though the members that made the threats were well placed. They didn't know anything about the man or his colleague. While his fellow members were loud with their thoughts, Derek was quiet with his own as he began to weigh in the mission. Senselessly torturing a man for stealing clients wasn't exactly something Derek signed up for. He preferred going after real criminals but there was a lot of money at stake here and with that much money there had to be a precise plan in order for it to go well so they could get played. The absence of their leader also meant someone had to set a concrete plan into motion and of course Derek already came up with a plan during the time he sat quietly as always.

Derek began to move through his team mates like the shadow that he was. He was careful not to bump any of them and really the only way any of them would have known he was there was the slight breeze he made as he passed them. Once again he went unnoticed by the client as he stood behind him with his arms folded staring blankly at his team. His arms began to unfold as he finally began to sign to the group only those who understood him when he signed would know what he said but that wasn't his entire concern right now. "I'm in." He finished signing and dropped his hands onto the clients shoulders with a tight squeeze startling him once more. Derek easily could have hit a pressure point on the man or do something more but that was enough to get the point across his other team members didn't... The client would never see Derek coming if he did anything to put his teammates at harms way.

With his point made, Derek walked away from the group and towards the door but not before stopping at Kit to tap her shoulder and get her attention. He nudged his head to point at the door indicating he was ready to leave and left with his phone out to send a group text: Let's regroup at headquarters. I have a plan. He moved through the bar area avoiding knocking into people and pushed the door open though he was kind enough to hold it open for Kit to walk out behind him. Once at her car, Derek began to show off a little as he ran and slid over the hood before jumping in through the window he left open for himself. He sat in the passenger seat with a huge grin directed towards her ready to enjoy their ride back to headquarters.

Things were winding down in the meeting. Yays and neighs spread through out the room as well as threats and bargaining. She thought it was incredibly childish to do either when a client was asking so little and offering so much for the task. She inwardly rolled her eyes at Bree who was always a little more aggressive. The first time they met, she thought that it was all an act, but lately she was beginning to doubt that. She hadn't heard Derek move about the room, but definitely saw him as he appeared behind the man that she was batting her eyelashes at. She felt her phone vibrate a few times where it was tucked into her sports bra during their meeting. She pushed the client back into Derek who scared the crap out of the guy as he grabbed his shoulders.

She laughed flirtatiously, pulled out her phone, and took a picture. Afterwards, she flipped through her texts. The only one she bothered to respond to was Kit's. She bit her lip and looked up at the man from under her eyelashes as if she was writing something naughty when in reality she was just typing,

Black Cat Group Chat:
Count me in, Kit. You know I'm always up for a ride in your wheels.

She looked over at the girl and winked. Just another Siren act and not something that had come from Melody. Derek had signed "I'm in" earlier and now she was getting around to signing back "Good. I got your back." Derek then made his way to the doorway and motioned for Kit to follow. She decided now was probably the best time to leave. She still needed a shower. She felt another text cause her phone to vibrate and she pulled it out. It was from Derek. Let's regroup at headquarters. I have a plan. She shook her head and turned to the client.

"It was fantastic meeting you," She said, her hands roaming the man's chest. "I look forward to working for you." She leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on the man's scrubbly cheek before turning and strutting out, swinging her hips with each step. Once she was out of his view, she sighed and rolled her shoulders, once more Melody.

Man that's exhausting sometimes She walked out to where Derek was waiting in the car and leaned through the window to ruffle his hair. "You know I love you like a brother Derek, but this is headquarters. Where else are you thinking we meet?" She texted the group

Black Cat Group Chat:
I agree. I think the most effective way to do this is to work together.

Locking her phone, Kit looked up, her thumbs nervously tapping the screen a couple of times before she crossed her arms. Pursing her lips, a worried expression settling on her face. From one perspective she understood where the guy was coming from, she’d seen his type before. Rich, wanting to make sure he had the intimidating factor of staying well off, but keeping his own hands clean. Then again, here she was easily taking hits on her paycheck knowing if she needed money her father was just a phone call away - but she was too stubborn to call. Her thought process being disrupted once again when someone knocked on the door beside her, wondering if she needed to open it.

Jacqueline answering her silent question as she came in, Kit’s head tilted slightly as she took in the last Black Cat. There was a slight hint of blood under her nose, which caused Kit’s own to scrunch with question. Her eyes followed the girl as she took a seat, deciding to leave whatever it was alone as she turned her attention back to her phone, seeing Mel had responded. She smiled, looking up to see her roommate wink which caused her smile to widen. Her eyes back on the client, surprised to see Derek behind him. Her smile falling into a smirk when he signed something, hoping he was agreeing too. Watching with amusement as Mel nudged the client into Derek who surprised him once again, she rolled her eyes with a small shake of her head as she watched Derek head towards her.

Glancing at him when he tapped her shoulder, easily pushing off the wall to follow him. ”Yes, your majesty.” She teased quietly as she followed him. Feeling her phone vibrate again but ignoring it since she had to make her way through the bar, waving at the bartender and not having as much luck avoiding people like Derek. Her accent heavy as she had to mumble multiple, 'Excuse me, sorry!'s.
”Thank you.” She mumbled to Derek, cheeks red from almost hitting the customers inside along with the fact he was holding the door open for her. She followed him, swinging keys on her right pointer finger, surveying the parking lot. Laughing as Derek slid over the hood and jumped though the open window, shaking her head as she opened her door. ”Ya know, one of these days you’re going to leave my window down and it’s going to rain and I’m really not going to enjoy kicking your ass for destroying my interior.” She teased, sliding into the driver's seat with ease, gently nudging him before putting the keys in the ignition, not turning them quite yet, since she spotted Melody heading their way.

Grinning as her roommate went over to Derek’s side, "You know I love you like a brother Derek, but this is headquarters. Where else are you thinking we meet?” Must have been about text she hadn’t read yet, but that didn't stop Kit from giggling as she leaned towards the wheel to get a better look at her roommate. Letting Derek sign his comeback before speaking, ”Fancy a ride?” Kit asked, not hiding her excitement, she enjoyed driving people around - also she noticed Mel's running clothes which meant two things, Mel wanted a shower and Mel had more than likely ran here. Leaning towards the two as she waited for the answer, gently nudging Derek with her shoulder this time. She could ask them how they felt about the mission, seeing what they had to say about the client.

Cenna fed Charly with ease, stroking his neck as she did. She listened attentively to Audrey as she spoke, while cleaning Charly's wing wound, and re-wrapping it.

"Well for starters that guy reeks of suspicion. Second, I don't like his face. Also, in all honesty I don't want to participate because I'm not fond of beating people up in a dark alley, it's not my area of expertise and I had my fair share of being the beaten in an alley but, I need the money." Audrey said practically mirroring Cenna's thoughts. Cenna did not like the idea of beating a man in an alley either...but now that she knew that Audrey needed the money, as much as she did, she was willing to do what it took.

"Anyway, uhm, now that I have seen this majestic beast called the charly, I wanna see those little kittens!" She wiggled her fingers cutely in a grabbing motion. Cenna grinned at the motion before returning Charly to his cage.

"Just a few more weeks before your free" she said quietly to Charly. She turned to Audrey with a smile and ran her fingers through her hair.

"Okay, to Catopia." She said with a hand gesture that indicated for Audrey to follow her. She stepped out of the room and towards another room that held all the cats and kittens.

"This is where we keep all of the cats, the ones that aren't in need of any sort of veterinary care..." Cenna trailed off as she looked around the room with a smile. Kittens and cats comingled , roaming about the large room that was a cat heaven. Scratching posts, beds, and climbing posts lined the walls. Cenna dropped to her knees and instantly the three kittens she had picked up ran to her. Cenna giggled like a little girl as she picked up awhite kitten, nuzzled it, and it licked her nose.

"We might have to bring home one...or all of these guys" Cenna said with a laugh as the second kitten, a black kitten clawed its way up her leg, mewing for attention. The third kitten, an orange and white one sat just below her knees staring up at her.

"This is why I do what I do..." She said with a grin.

Her phone vibrated, making her sigh. She pulled out her phone and read the text before sighing again and biting her lip.

To: BCG
"Let's regroup at headquarters. I have a plan."

"Looks like duty calls." Cenna said as she gestured to her phone assuming Audrey had recieved the same text.

"I guess the group wants to get a jump start on this one...guess the money is too much to turn down" Cenna said though she still had a terrible feeling about that man.

Cenna groaned internally before standing and turning to Audrey.

"Looks like Derek is taking lead on this, I'm going to go let my boss know I'm heading out early..." She said as she brushed herself off. She stepped out of the room for show, knowing full well she didn't have to tell anyone anything because she was not supposed to be in today.

To: BCG
I need to change for the mission. Be there asap.

She waited a few moments before entered the room again.

"I need to change before we go to the bar, do you mind?" She asked as she turned with Audrey with a tired smile before heading for the door. Again Cenna thanked the sweet stars that she only lived a few blocks from the Clinic and the Bar, they where in a triangle formation really.

Once in the apartment Cenna stripped out of her dress without a second thought as she walked through the living room. Beneath she wore a white lace baby-dolland pair of undergarments that matched. She kicked off her heals and headed to her room. A few moments later she emerged from her room in black running pants, black shoes, and a black tank, with her hair up in a pony tail.

"Okay lets hit it" She said with a grin.

Tyler sat back as the confirmations came in, rolling his eyes at the threats. For all their skill sets, diplomacy was still something they were sorely lacking in. Oddly enough, it wasn't something he'd want to change for the world. They were his family; flaws. aggressions and all. As they began to file out, Tyler felt his phone buzz again. This time he reached for it, figuring that it wouldn't be rude, since business was already done. "Leave the money on your way out," he said to the man, "Or a way for us to access it, and the name of the guy and we'll do our thing." Tyler read through the messages down to Lucas's most recent message to the group.

Whomever else want's to work on the tech side of things here, focus on the actual target, I'll play data-collection, oversight, and see whatever dirt we can dig out of Deep Pockets over here.

Tyler looked over at Lucas for a moment before he typed out a reply. He hadn't thought about it properly, but maybe Lucas was on to something about keeping tabs on the client. He would hardly be the first man to think that the promise of money was enough to clear up all his problems. That was exactly how politics worked. Hell they guy had probably dealt with Tyler's folks without even realising it.

To Black Cat Group Chat
I'll get what I can on the target. Just be careful okay guys, we're being paid to get the target not the client.

This was a business first and foremost and Tyler was pretty sure that not one of them could say they didn't need the money. "Word of advice if you plan on double crossing us. Don't. Between btz and I, we'll take you for everything you own and are. The other guys might land you in a hospital for a few days, but we," he indicated between himself and Lucas, "can bring you down without breaking a single bone in your pretty little body. Understand? Tyler added, satisfied that he had made his point.

There was a message from Derek in the group chat. "We might wanna hang tight, Derek's got a plan."

”Ya know, one of these days you’re going to leave my window down and it’s going to rain and I’m really not going to enjoy kicking your ass for destroying my interior.” Derek gave one of his silent laughs when she nudged him and responded to her 'threat' with a nonchalant shrug. He was too worried about his habit plus he would definitely pay for her car to get fixed if that were to happen and he knew that she was aware of that. He noticed Melody approaching them out of the corner of his eye and knew exactly what was coming as soon as she leaned over into the window of the passenger side. His face scrunched up a bit as she ruffled his hair up but he did give in and relax towards the end before she spoke to him. "You know I love you like a brother Derek, but this is headquarters. Where else are you thinking we meet?”

Derek's immediate response was a childish grin towards his 'sister' followed by him signing a response. "I got preoccupied showing off for the southern belle." He was careful when gesturing towards Kit so that she wouldn't notice. Derek had a close enough relationship with Melody for her to understand what he was implying since Derek was far too stubborn to admit the truth. He continued on after his initial response. "I also need to clean up and get my plan written out for everyone unless you're in the mood to play translator tonight." He gave a cheeky little smirk just as Kit spoke up reading his mind. ”Fancy a ride?” Derek looked Mel over after Kit spoke and signed again with his quiet little laugh just as Kit nudged him once more. "You do kind of stink."

Derek stepped out of the car to let Mel in before getting back into his claimed seat on the passenger side from riding with Kit since she first joined The Black Cat. He sent a text to Mel once she got into the car as he sat in silence letting the girls converse while he just listened. She's going to ask about your opinion of the douche bag with big pockets and the mission he gave us. Derek had a knack for reading people though Kit took little effort for him to figure out. Though it did make him curious if she had it difficult or easy with him.

The car ride had been spent in silence... For Derek at least. He stayed quietly in his seat flipping through radio channels while the two girls conversed. He smiled to himself listening to their conversation until they finally arrived at the apartments. Derek actually opened the door this time instead of jumping through the window in order to let Mel out. He was quickly at the entrance to the apartment building with the door being held open for the both of them and then following behind with his hands stuffed in his pockets. His room that he shared with Tyler was right next to Mel and Kit's which always came in handy when Derek couldn't sleep. He smiled at the two before disappearing into his room and getting ready.

He went into his closet which held a series of outfits that were all black save for a few brown leather jackets though Derek decided to switch his brown one to a black one in case he needed to go out on the mission tonight. He undressed and carefully placed his outfit on his bed before 'showering' which meant taking a clothe and washing his body, deodorant and the best cologne money could buy, and finishing off with dry shampoo and a blow dryer through his hair. Thank god for dry shampoo. Once he was finished, Derek quickly typed up his plan and stuff it into a back pack to take with him before waiting for the girls in the hall. Once they were out, he went back down stairs to hold the door once more and gave himself a running start to this time flip over the hood of the car before holding the door open for Mel grinning over showing off once more.

Melody watched Derek sign a response and smiled at her "brother". So he had something for, Kit huh? "Say no more," she whispered to him with a soft smile and a slight wink. She looked over to where Kit was in the driver's seat. "Sure thing. We need to stop at our apartment before we go anywhere, though. I need a shower." Derek, thankfully, got out to allow Mel to slip between him and Kit.

"So what do you think this guy does?" She asked. It was more of a question for Kit than Derek since he liked to sit in silence and listen to the two of them talk. "And what about his co-worker? If they're really co-workers, I mean."

((sorry it's so short! D:))

"Sure thing. We need to stop at our apartment before we go anywhere, though. I need a shower." Kit nodded at her roommates words as Mel slid into the middle seat. Finally turning the keys in the ignition, a large smirk planting itself on her lips as the engine purred to life. Holding both the clutch and brake as she put the car in reverse, slowly letting the clutch out as the car rolled back, Kit skillfully watching through the rearview. The car was back in first and heading towards the road when Mel spoke up again.

"So what do you think this guy does?" Kit looked both ways before smoothly turning onto the road, shifting her body slightly into a more comfortable position. "And what about his co-worker? If they're really co-workers, I mean." Kit glanced at Mel for a second, thoughtfully taking in her questions, pursing her lips as she focused back on the road. "I dunno...there's a dozen things a guy like that could have done to make bank." She mumbled which caused her accent to thicken slightly, glancing out her own window for no reason as she thought of all the times her brothers had somehow come up with a lot of money by being friends with the right people. "Gambling, family business, sold an app, made a business deal, has friends in high places.." Kit continued with a nonchalant shrug, stopping at a stop light keeping her eyes on the light, her hand hovering over the gear shift. "The whole colleague deal is what gets me though, they're suppose to work together -," The light changed, so she swiftly hit the gas, shifting into second and heading down the road, "Not get one ups on each other. To make a partnership work there needs to be an understanding, they gotta communicate, and there sure as hell can't be any shady shit like this -" Kit grumbled, thinking of the lectures her brothers had given her about business deals, easily shifting the car into the next gear, "Or so I've heard." She quickly covered, clearing her throat before continuing on with her rambling, "Why would you need to sway a colleague in your favor anyway...shouldn't they already be on the same side?" At this point, Kit was practically just thinking outloud as usual. Her voice sounding worried as she finally glanced at her two passengers, "What sort of money is turning two colleagues against each other?" Seemingly done with her rant as she finally shifted into the last gear, cruising at a comfortable speed as she relaxed slightly into her seat - waiting to see what their take on the subject was.

Pulling into her normal parking spot, turning the engine off. Kit was slightly on edge, still thinking about all the possibilities surrounding the case. She opened her door at the same time as she pulled the keys out of the ignition, stepping out and closing it but not before she glanced over her shoulder for safe measures. Swinging her key around her finger as she followed Derek and Mel, shooting a smile at Derek when he held the door open for them. Following Melody into their apartment, locking the door behind her as she headed to her room, letting Melody take her shower. To pass time she decided to unpack a box, picking it up and setting it on the bed. She grinned as she opened it, a couple picture frames wrapped on the top. Sitting on the bed, she reached in and unwrapped them. Grinning down at her family as she sat them on her nightstand.
It wasn’t long til she heard the shower cut off which meant they would be leaving soon. Kit stood and headed to another box that had ‘JACKETS’ written on it in black sharpie. She opened it and grabbed her green jacket slipping it on, spray a quick mist of coconut perfume on her before heading towards the door. Her face scrunching up as she realized she was forgetting something, turning on her heels as she went back over to her nightstand, opening the top drawer, grabbing a large pocket knife and slipping it into her back pocket - her plaid shirt and jacket hiding the visible lump it caused in her back pocket. As she headed out of her room for the second time, she grabbed her snapback hanging on her bed post as she headed into the kitchen. Rummaging through the cabinets, finding a box of cereal, grabbing a handful and setting the box back in it’s place. Knowing Derek was probably waiting for them in the hallway so she headed out the door, grinning when she saw Derek, giving him a small wave with her hand without the cereal, going over to stand beside him. ”Reckon this mission is gonna be riskier than it looks?” She asked, looking down at her cereal as she took a bite.

Once Mel had come out, the trio was headed back to Kit’s car - Kit pulling the keys out of the pocket of her plaid as they headed downstairs. Giving Derek yet another grin as he held the door open, rolling her eyes when he took off towards her car. ”You gonna do a trick too?” She joked, looking at Mel for a second before her eyes were back on Derek with a smile, shaking her head as she made it to the car, opening her door and sliding in. ”Back to the bar?”

Mel listened as Kit speculated. It made sense. Partners wouldn't turn on each other unless some serious bank was involved. Bank that might be better off in the hands of the Black Cats than a man willing to do whatever it took for his colleague to see things his way. Oh well, a job was a job and it was a better job than she would've had on the other side. The corrupted side. Which was ironic considering the things they did were usually pretty corrupted as well. She didn't voice these thoughts though, instead, she said, "Oh well. The deal is the deal."

They pulled up to their apartment complex and they all climbed out of Kit's dodge. Derek held the door open for the two girls--although Mel suspected it was mainly for Kit--and she smiled at him. They made their way up and into their apartment where Mel made a beeline for the bathroom to shower. Her running clothes were no longer sweaty and sticky but she knew she probably smelled. She stripped them off and started the shower until the room was full of steam before she climbed in. She used her scrubby and her lavender body wash to wash away the sticky residue that always seemed to be left after sweating. When she was clean, she turned off the tap, dried off, and moved to her room while wrapped in a towel. Thankfully, Kit was in her room so there was no worry of being seen.

When in her room she pulled out two outfits: her "mission gear" and her "Siren gear". You know.. for her plan. She changed into the former and packed the latter into a black slouch backpack. She tucked a combat knife into the one legged holster on her hip as well as her lock pick kit. You acquire some interesting things working for the Black Cats. She stowed another, simpler knife into her bag as well as a bottle of her best perfume. She slung the straps over her shoulder and made her way out into the hallway where Kit and Derek were already waiting for her. She locked the door behind her and they made their way down to the truck.

”Back to the bar?” Kit asked once the three piled back into her car. Mel glanced over at Derek and raised an eyebrow. "Not unless there's another headquarters I don't know anything about." she joked. A rarity for her, but she couldn't help it around Derek. He brought out the best in her.

Excitedly, Audrey followed Cenna into the other room but she kept that excitement hidden inside as her exterior showed a cool and relaxed expression. Okay, maybe she did have a bit of excitement spilling out of her proven by the eager smile that hung on her lips. Upon entering the other room Audrey was first surprised at how many cats there were then fascinated at all of the beds that hung from the wall and the cool looking scratching posts. Her eyes explored the room for a second before immediately fixating on the three kittens that approached Cenna because they were just so cute! "We might have to bring one home . . . or all of these guys." Cenna laughed only to have Audrey who already seated herself on the floor reply quickly. "I'd bring all three of them home now if we didn't have work." She smiled, picking up the black and orange kittens and setting them on her lap only to have the black one claw its way up her arm until it was on her shoulder and nudging its head against her chin while the orange one simply just cuddled up to her stomach and fell asleep. Instantly when Audrey heard Cen sigh her phone also decided to go off and so she pulled it out of her jacket pocket.

From: BCG

Let's regroup at headquarters. I have a plan.

"Looks like duty calls." Cen commented, Audrey looking up at her and nodding before setting the kittens backs down feeling a bit bad she woke up the one that fell asleep on her which was now her favorite. "I shall take you guys home, later that is." She chuckled, getting onto her feet."Looks like Derek is taking lead on this, I'm going to go let my boss know I'm heading out early." Cen informed and Audrey simply said "Alright" accompanied by a small smile as she was a bit distracted by the message she was beginning to type out before Cen left the room.

To: BCG
Okie dokie, be there soon.

When Audrey finished her text she stood there awkwardly for a few seconds, waiting for Cen to come back and also petted one of the older cats before Cenna re-entered to retrieve her. "I need to change before we go to the bar, do you mind?" She asked with a tired smile on her face. "Nah," Audrey said, this time holding the door for her on the way out. "I think I left my ice tea in the fridge. I was looking for an excuse to go grab it anyway." She smiled, again, heading in the direction of their apartment.

Upon entering the apartment Audrey went straight for the kitchen where she pulled out a bottle of her favorite, extra sweet pure leaf ice tea and took a few gulps from the newly opened bottle. When she turned around though, she was greeted a very sexy but barely clothed Cenna who caused Audrey to almost choke on her tea and go red in the face, quickly averting her eyes until Cenna was out of sight. "Damn," was all she could manage to mumble before walking herself over to the couch and tossing herself on it. While waiting she began to think about what just happened and how Cenna is able to frustrate her both physically and mentally before going red in the cheeks again as her mind wandered for a second but Audrey snapped out of it, huffed and ruffled her own hair. She began tossing her bottle up and catching it as a form of entertainment until Cenna remerged from her room all dressed and announcing that she was ready to get the hell outta here. Grinning back, Audrey waited until Cen passed the couch before standing up just to enjoy the view for a second, something she usually didn't do.

Before entering the bar Audrey took her keys to her motorcycle just to grab her backpack that held all the things she needed for the mission in the small compartment under her seat. With Cenna right behind her she slung her backpack over her left shoulder and pushed the bar door open, entering with a look that told everyone that she was ready. Ready for what they didn't know but all they could tell was that she was ready for whatever was about to go down. There was just this confident feeling around her at the moment that wasn't overbearing, so she didn't seem cocky but it was just enough to attract the eyes of some people, mostly of the female gender.

Since most of the group had dispersed in order to grab what they needed and get ready the back room was left a little empty but Audrey didn't mind. She casually tossed her backpack onto the small table where her helmet still laid and began pulling things out. First came her knuckle slingshot, the small device being no child's toy and easily clipped to her belt, hidden under her shirt just like her buck knife that she quickly inspected before sliding it back into her sheath that was located on the back of her pants. "So yeah," She began, taking glances at Cenna as she spoke. "I think I'm going to hang back on the beating." She paused, pulling out a small plastic container that held a whole bunch of very painful and dangerous little metal b.b gun pellets that she used as ammo for her slingshot and just slipped into her back pocket. "I'll do better with the whole breaking into his place and fucking some shit up type of intimidation." She finished, this time slipping on her black leather biker gloves that she had hanging out of her left back pocket this while time. Next came the white ear buds that she plugged into her phone and shoved back into her jacket for later, you know for when she starts smashing shit because Audrey loves her background music on the job.

Her trusty wooden bat leaned against the far right corner just itching to be used while the rest of the things that were in her backpack consisted of spray paint cans and a few white surgical masks for the fumes. After getting herself ready Audrey took another sip of her iced tea, sitting down on a wooden chair and leaning her head back so she was basically staring at the ceiling. "Got something we can do while we wait?" Audrey wondered a bit bored, blowing a piece of her inky black hair from her uniquely contrasting blue eyes.

Cenna and Audrey entered the bar and then the nearly empty back room. Cenna watched Audrey unload her backpack with curiosity and admiration. She herself had packed a small pack but it only held a few items of necessity. She was more of a hands on fighter, and her lock picking kit didn't take up much room.

"I think I'm going to hang back on the beating. I'll do better with the whole breaking into his place and fucking some shit up type of intimidation." Audrey said. Cenna nodded quietly in contemplation, feeling pretty much the same. She knew she would be able to hurt the target if necessary, but she was less inclined to do so. She did not like the man that had hired them and was not 100% certain that the man she was after was even a bad person....then again she didn't get paid to make judgement calls.

She smiled at Audrey and took out her brass knuckles that she kept in her bosom. She rarely used them but she kept them with her at all times. She fit them on her and and made a fist, before taking a few mock swings.

"I understand, I hate the idea of beating some guy senseless...I think i'll do what ill have to, but not without some research first. Hopefully the techies will be able to do some research and let us know if its legit" Cenna said as she pulled out her lock picking kit and counted the pieces. They all appeared to be there. With her kit there was very little she couldn't get into. She smiled and brushed her hair out o her face before putting her kit back. Next she pulled out her knife kit and touched the edge of each one making sure they where sharp, on the off chance there would be a need for lethal action.

"As soon as all the crew gets here we will plan it out and get the ball rolling." She said as she put her knives back.

"Got something we can do while we wait?" Audrey asked.

"Well I can think of a few things we could do..." Cenna said flirtatiously saying the first thing that came to her mind. She grinned then realized what had just come out of her mouth. Her face turned red and clasped her hand to her mouth.

"Oh my goodness, I...uh...I am...Totally inappropriate." Cenna sputtered not believing she had just uttered those words aloud.

Now that the details had been discussed with, everyone was leaving. Most of them were also threatening the client before leaving, which Jerry wasn't surprised by. The job the client had given them was certainly suspicious, especially when he could have hired some other thugs to do it for a more cheaper price. Definitely suspicious, and while Jerry didn't join in the antagonizing himself he didn't do anything about it either, merely sitting in his chair until the man left.

The request was weird, but then again the Black Cats had have more odder jobs than this. And while Jerry might have balked at it half a year ago, the urge for money and the resulting vigilantism lead him to accept the job, although he still had his doubts about it.

The green dollar bills was a very strong motivator indeed.

He did wish they'd tone it down a bit, though. No point in antagonizing the rich man who was in charge of their paycheck! 1500 dollars up front too, which took care of other things and rent. But if the cash he's giving us is fake, I'll skin him alive.

When Jacqueline came in, Jerry raised an eyebrow at her. She looks like she's been in a fight, he thought, mentally taking stock of her physical injuries. He didn't look long and she didn't seem that injured, but...

Wouldn't hurt to ask. Plus it was his job anyways. Might as well do it.

Jerry patiently waited until the man had taken a couple more steps out of the bar before heading over to Jacqueline with a neutral look on his face, the faint furrow in his brow and the worried look in his eye betraying his worry for his colleague. Jerry might not have known her well, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't offer a chance to help if they wanted it. Even if it caused a couple of sleepless nights and nausea.

Well, there was that time he's nearly slammed the door in Xandru's face when the guy had turned up with a beaming smile and a large bleeding gash in his arm at three in the morning. But that was because he'd had a test coming up that day! Humans needed sleep to function, dammit! Thank God he'd passed.

Ugh, whatever. He had someone to treat.

"That's a nasty bruise. Where else are you injured?" he observed matter of factly, reassessing her physical status. Reaching into the bag he had brought with him to the meeting, Jerry took out a small pouch. Inside was a roll of bandages, some antiseptic, plasters, scissors, whatever went inside a traveling emergency kit. Pulling out some gauze and antiseptic, Jerry offered it to her. "Here. Need help?" he asked casually, waving a pack of plasters for emphasis.

Meia listened to her fellow members having their "thorns out" and threatening the client like he was the bad person. Sure he was shady, but he was the one paying them. The comments from especially Cenna and Bree made her a bit sick, painting very strong pictures in her head. Meia was wicked/cold, and she would not hesitate to kill. Bur torture someone physically was just not her cup of tea. If she was going to cause pain to someone (and not killing them), she preferred getting under their skin (mentally speaking) and destroying their mind. Often putting some of her demons inside their heads. She did have a small amount of problem with the "medical" part of blood and injuries to OTHERS. But whenever hurting herself /sometimes even inflicting it herself - was all good and nothing that bothered at all. Maybe even enjoying it for a moment - that adrenalin junkie with a suicidal side. And that's why she also was convinced of that a broken mind hurts more than a broken nose and some crushed ribs. But "hurting someone" was boring. Meia was just waiting for the jobs requesting a hit-man. For those jobs- Mei was your girl. Not being a fan of "bloody messes" making the murder scene look like some splatter movie. And thinking guns where too noise, she turned to a more sneaky murder weapon. Poison. "Snow White" Meia was killing with poison, a bit comical thinking about the snow white fairy tale and the poison apple.. But yess, poison was one of her precious things in life. Quickest and least messy way to just get rid of the problem.

She sighted and rolled her eyes. "Geeeh, stop being such pussies. I don't care if he's the dirtiest pig of them all. Or even the devil himself. Some of us aren't exactly cuddly teddy bears ourselves.. When the government can't do justice- we'll deal with, right?" For her it was just a job. Get it done, get paid. As long as he wasn't a undercover cop trying to bust them - she was all cool.

She stood up, yawning a bit arrogant. Like this was too boring for her brain - demanding some stimulants. Plus, seeing how Jerry treated Jacquelin made her raise her eyebrow a bit. She was not a fan of medical care, and the injuries did not seem that bad. The whole aura in the room made her annoyed, and she decided it was time for her to leave. Snapping the rubberband on her wrist, she turned around and went for the door. On her way out, she just raised one arm over her head with a quick gesture meaning "see yaah". Probably her way of saying she will be alone for a moment - before rejoining the group later. Knowing the others would probably take the car - she'd stay in the shadows. Not that she had any bigger problems with her fellow black cat members. She did -however- have an even bigger problem with cars. Uhhg those fast, bumpy and scary shit things making her face green and causing her to almost puke.

She snapped her rubberband 3 more times before crossing the bar, nodding towards the bartender, before heading out the door. Her hand was fast to pull out a pack of cigs and put one between her lips before she lit the cigarette. Feeling a bit more relaxed, she pulled out her cellphone seeing 3 new messages.

From: Black Cat Group Chat
Whomever else want's to work on the tech side of things here, focus on the actual target, I'll play data-collection, oversight, and see whatever dirt we can dig out of Deep Pockets over here.

Mei shook her shoulders and considered helping the boys with tech on this, but she was not sure yet. Ty and Lucas had better skills. She was ok, but not sure if she would be an asset on this one, or just arguing and getting in to disagreements. Hrmm they'd probably contact her if they needed help. While thinking, she opened the next text - from Kit.

From: Black Cat Group Chat
If you need a ride during this job, you know who to call.

Meia almost started to laugh. "Like that would ever happen" she said for her self, taking another puff and then letting the smoke slip out her nose and lips. As she walked down the street - towards the apartment building- she wrapped her leather jacket tighter around her. The air was getting colder.
Last text was from Derek.

From: Black Cat Group Chat
"Let's regroup at headquarters. I have a plan."

Finally. Someone was up for actually doing the job. Derek was not the one to have much to say. Making him quite bearable. But whenever he did have something to share - it was often good. She did need to change her clothes tho and gear up before joining the others on this mission. So first a quick visit to her apartment. Smoking at least 3 cigs on the way. Then running up the stairs, smashing the door behind her while entering the familiar chaos of "her crib". Clothes, make up, radio, cassette bands, empty cola bottles, pack of cigs, stuffed animals and other rubbish lying EVERYWHERE. She did however have a photographic memory, knowing where everything was. Organized chaos. Maybe it was a good thing not having a roomie. Mei could not think of one person who would be able to cope with her way of ornamenting the apartment...

She changed her clothes in to something more discrete, braiding her blonde hair in to two messy braids -this, stopping her wild locks from getting in the way. Then pulling up her tank top and started filling her waist belt with her precious throwing knifes. Black thunderbolts with a snowflake engraved on every one of them, her "signature" symbol. The backpack was filled with her blowing dart set. Both having the "sleeping" and the "killing" darts. Beyond this- a rope, a lighter, a pack of cigs, a combat knife and a set of other clothes - in case of going under cover. Also adding her wrist/arm belts for the smaller knifes. Having a tendency of being "over dressed". But better safe than sorry. Now- feeling satisfied and ready for war - she grabbed a can of coke, taking a zip while writing a text message with her other hand.

To: Black Cat Group Chat
"Will be at the HQ in 15 / SW"

She put the phone back in her pocket before opening her window. Wish a "swooosh" she was out and away. The roofs gave her a faster route to the bar, and she felt a bit under stimulated with a lot of excess energy - so this would be a good way to "warm up" and calm down before meeting the others and getting down to business.

Exactly 7 min later, she entered the bar and took a seat near the disk. Thinking she was the first one here, she put her legs up on the chair beside her - all ready to order something strong. The bartender cached the sight of her and laughed. "not drinking on the job are we?" he said jokingly. Meia just gave him a finger.
"2 are already here you know" he continued quiet with a wink- not even looking towards the door to the dark room in the back. Meia got the hint and stood up, now sneaking discrete to the other side of the bar, before disappearing and entering the inner dark room - meeting the familiar faces of Cenna and Audrey.
"Soo... im not interrupting anything, are i?" she said teasingly and almost considered to take a seat between the two girls - just cuz she could. And to be an ass. But instead she sank down in the darkest corner. Pulling up her legs in to fetal position - leaning her chin on her knees.

Nathan took a mouthful out of his drink, sighing. He felt a little bad about abandoning the team- but it was too close to home. He could deal with vengeance- after all, that was what fueled him most of the time. But an attack on somebody who hadn't really done anything wrong- that was a little close to the bone. Maybe he could handle it during a good patch, but his current state of mind could only be described as "meh"- and that was at it's best. Still, he wasn't going to abandon them entirely. He slid his earpiece into his ear and opened the lid of his laptop. They'd invested in a communications system only a year or so ago, and it had made things much easier.

"Alright, everybody call with your positions. Remember, we're trying to frighten this guy, not cause any major damage," he said. He unlocked his phone and opened his conversation with Xandru, sending him a quick text.

To: Xandru
Be careful, okay? Finding another roommate would be a pain in the ass.

Even though everybody knew that they were best friends (with the occasional benefit) and lived together, but even that message felt oddly private. That and Nathan had an inkling that Xandru wouldn't necessarily be sticking to the main plan. He had complete faith that his roommate wouldn't do anything too risky, but even so.

Nathan leaned back and ran his fingers through his hair, opening up the GPS program on his laptop that allowed him to track the earpieces. If things went wrong, he could send backups to where they were needed, or even get his own ass in there as another pair of fists. He was aiming to avoid that, but even so, he was dressed in his fighting gear, just in case. Just in case.

Cenna

"Soo... im not interrupting anything, are i?" Meia said as she broke the awkward silence that had fallen between Cenna and Audrey.

"N-no. I mean, I don't know what you mean..." Cenna said with a frown as she shrugged off her embarrassment. It didnt take long for them to work out a plan. Beofore long everyone had their duties, Cenna was to start by breaking into the apartment of the Mark to leave little....love notes so to speak.

22:00

Cenna made sure the mark had left his apartment by simply waiting outside his residence posing as a runner stretching. She smiled at the mark as he passed, though he barely glanced at her to her relief. That meant he would not remember any details about her when he called the cops. She ran her fingers through her hair and pretended to tighten her shoe laces for a few moments just to ensure she was convincing.

He made his way down the street and she waited a good two minutes before entering the building. It was a simple matter of intuition, and logic...and a few minutes of spying to find his apartment. She smiled as she came to his door and pulled out her lock picking kit. Making quick work of the locks she slipped into the apartment.

Cenna's first thought was the man lived quite lavishly and it made her dislike him, without having met the him. She felt a brief moment of guilt, then shrugged it off as she knew there was no logical reason for her to care.

She started riffling through his things, looking for evidence of his guilt. Cenna had not voiced this to any of her family members but she refused to accept money or the mission really, unless she could prove his guilt. She opened a drawer in a desk in his spare room and riffled through some of the desk drawers.

Nothing unusual popped out at her. She slipped into his bedroom and searched all of the obvious places such as between his mattresses, in the drawers of his clothes dresser, and his closet. She found a lot of fascinating things, among them Playboy magazines, and lubricants with interesting flavors. She felt her cheeks burn as she pulled out what appeared to be some sort of vibrating ring from the back of his closet. She squeaked and dropped it as it turned on in her hands. With a sigh she found there was little to nothing she could use to prove his innocence or guilt. She ran her hands through her hair and decided it was time for her to leave…or so she thought until she saw an unusually placed vent guard. She touched the guard and it tilted on its screw dropping what looked like a thumb drive.

Cenna picked it up gingerly and turned it over in her hand. A click and jingle sound caught her attention and made her adrenaline spike.
“дерьмо” She whispered to herself as she attempted to think quickly on her feet as she realized the owner of the apartment was home sooner than expected. She put the vent back in place, and slipped into the closet, hoping the mark had simply forgotten something.

She heard him enter the room and could see his shadow move around below the door. He knew something or someone was out of place. A horrible yet brilliant thought burned through her as she realized he was approaching the closet. Without a second to think it through and talk herself out of it she stripped down to her skippies.

“I know you’re in there, I’m armed and willing to shoot” He said tensely as he approached the door hand outstretched. She hoped to god he didn’t have a gun as she enacted her plan.
Cenna jumped out of the closet with a big grin on her face. No gun. Thank goodness.

"Bonjour James , je suis ici pour vous faire plaisir " She babbled excitedly hiccupped as if she was drunk. Her mark froze in confusion and took a step back though his eyes did not leave her ample chest.

“Who…who are you…who is James?” He blurted out as he tried to focus. Cenna bounced enthusiastically, clapping her hands in a childlike fashion.

“I am…how you say…?” She paused as if attempting to find a correct word.
“gift! Gift from Sergio to James” she said enthusiastically, and cringed internally, as she brushed her hair out of her face and grinned.

“I – I am not… James” Her mark said though she knew that full well. Cenna frowned, making herself look unsure.

“oh…Oh non ... non non ... Je ne pouvais pas fait une erreur” She said in a panicked voice. She thought of the toy she had touched earlier and made herself blush as if she was embarrassed. He was still not looking at her face which she counted as a blessing. She pretended to try and cover herself as she backed towards the door.

“I…so sorry…so very sorry” She called as she ran to the front door.

“James is one lucky man…” She heard him mutter as she slipped out his front door. She sighed a sigh of relief as she slipped out of one situation and into another….Mostly naked with no way to get home but walk. She pulled out the thumb drive and her cell phone. She needed to find a place to use the thumb drive…but first she needed to find a ride.

Tucked between her breasts, her phone vibrated. In the shadows of an alley across the street from the target's apartment, she pulled it out to check the message. Could someone come pick me up? The text from Wolfling read. Siren smiled and spoke softly--nearly a sultry whisper-- into the mic hidden within her necklace. "Looks like someone needs a pickup, Ryder." The door to the condo complex the target lived opened and a nearly naked Wolfling stepped out into the night. "And you might want to make it fast. She's dressed in little more than her birthday suit." It probably came off as arrogant, but when Melody was Siren, she was almost a completely different person. It was the only way she learned to differentiate between who she was and who she had to be.

The target had left his home earlier but seemed distraught as if he had forgotten something and turned back. Now she was waiting for him to return to the streets. She took a swig of wine from a canteen she had brought with her. If she was going to act the part, she needed to smell the part. Just when she was beginning to regret the boots she wore, the door opened and the target stepped out. The smirk on her face grew and she stepped from the shadows. Her boots made loud clicks on the concrete as she staggered towards the man. Her ankle screamed as she pretended to stumble drunkenly, but she pushed through it. Once she approached him, she feigned a stumble once more and slammed into his shoulder. She tumbled to the ground, thankfully just narrowly avoiding skinning her knee.

"Oh gosssh," she slurred. "I'm sso-" She hiccuped. "Sorry, sir." She looked up at him from under her eyelashes. "I guesssss I've had too much to drink tonight." The man was actually probably more handsome than their client. She could see how he could be a threat in that regard. Otherwise, she wasn't entirely sure. They still didn't have a ton of information on the guy, but whatever she could get right?

She took a deep breath and took note of his cologne. It smelled sweet and very expensive. Clive Christian perhaps? "Oh wow, guy. You sssmell fantastic." She reached up around his neck and buried her nose into his neck, pressing herself against him. "Makess me want to jump your bonesss." She turned her head to look down the alley where she hoped a dark shape that goes by Echo was waiting for them. She pulled back and looked him in the eye and raised an eyebrow. "You ever do it in an allyway?"

ImageBefore he really had a chance to respond, she pulled him down into the alley and pressed him against a wall where she bit and kissed at his neck. She giggled flirtatiously and reached down into her boot. When her hand came free she was holding her knife. With her knee, she played with him and then the blade replaced it. "Listen here, pretty boy." She said sweetly, tossing her long brown hair. "My client has requested a fair warning for you from some.. rather unfair people so you should listen and listen closely." She spoke close to his face, her face tilted slightly to the side, her body language tempting him. "When it comes to business, you may want to pull back a bit. Or a lot. It's really your choice, but do you really want to risk your boys?" She twitched her wrist ever so slightly. "Isn't that right, Echo?"

The mission was simple... At least it could have been if complications weren't a thing. Derek had been hidden away gathering information hoping the technical side of the mission would come through and give Derek some form of justification for what they were doing over a large some of money. Instead, he heard Melody over the mic proving that his plan wasn't as well thought out as he had hoped. "Looks like someone needs a pickup, Ryder. And you might want to make it fast. She's dressed in little more than her birthday suit." Derek didn't say anything as per usual but he was careful in shooting a text over to Kit before he was on the move again. Keep your distance. -Derek Kit probably wouldn't be too happy with Derek's choice of words though he needed to be quick when he was out on the field and she did need to keep her distance. He feared he was too far away following the client to rescue to begin with.

The target was on the move again as he left his apartment making Melody noticeable as she trailed after him. Derek followed in pursuit as well using the darkness and the buildings to his advantage. He dropped down into an alleyway just as Melody was searching for him while she toyed with the target. He quickly secured his cap and mask to hide his features while he was still engulfed by darkness. He may be hard to see but Derek wasn't going to risk blowing his cover or identity that quickly.

Derek quickly moved as Melody began to bring the target into the alleyway. His movements were quick as he jumped and held onto a fire escape before closing himself up. It was a miracle he didn't make any sound though Derek did seem to have a certain knack for going unnoticed. He made a face in disgust as he hid in the shadows and saw Melody's method for 'luring' the target. He leaned forward just as she began to threaten him. What is she doing? Derek hadn't expected the threats to launch so quickly while they were still digging dirt on them though Derek still prepared his gadgets in case anything were to go wrong now. "Isn't that right, Echo?" Derek jumped down from the fire escape and silent emerged from the shadows startling the target even further.

He didn't say anything as always but he seemed more quiet than usual. He didn't move or sign towards Melody. He simply stood there watching them with his arms folded. he actually felt a bit bad for the guy mainly because he was a man as well and that definitely wouldn't feel pleasant. Derek then put a hand on Melody's shoulder as his way of telling her to ease up. They couldn't hospitalize him after all.

Derek decided it was his turn to take control of the situation as he rolled up his sleeves and stepped towards the target. "Who are you?" The man whimpered and pressed his back against the brick wall as Derek continued to stare at him with a finger pressed to his lips. He brought his hand to the man's throat to hold him in place as Derek took out his baton. He pressed the button and quickly jolted the target. He jumped and fell down but he wasn't in any serious harm. Simply startled. Derek then picked him up and in a series of swift movements, he was able to hold the client's face against the wall while using one hand to hold his arm behind his back and pressing to make him feel like his arm could break at any moment. Derek looked back at Melody and used his free hand to sign to her so she could be his voice. "Consider this a warning."

He waited for her to finished and pushed the target away though not before taking out a small white cloth and holding it in the targets face until he fell to the ground and passed out in the alleyway. Chloroform. Derek then turned back to Melody and signed to her. "Just in case he tries to follow us." He shrugged and climbed up the fire escape again dashing away all too quickly. He wasn't entirely pleased with everything that happened but at least they got a message across. Derek hoped he would listen before the real trouble happened.

Siren smirked as she heard Echo drop. It was very very quiet. You'd only hear it if you were listening for it. Which she was. Echo walked towards them and placed his hand on her shoulder to warn her to ease up. The gesture almost snapped her back to Melody so she shook it off. Not yet. She wasn't ready yet. He took over the threat, holding the man by his throat and zapping him with his baton. Echo's silence was a threat all on it's own. She signed to her to echo his statement and she did.

"Consider this a warning," she echoed sweetly. Echo put the man out with a white rag of Chloroform and signed to her. Just in case he tries to follow us. She winked at him. "Good thinkin'." She swayed her hips as they walked away, still in the part even though the target could no longer see.

She lifted her necklace a little closer to her mouth, without being so close she'd hurt their ears ,and said "Threat delivered and Target is out. Ryder, Extraction please."

As soon as they climbed into Ryder--Kit's--car, the persona of Siren would fall from her shoulders. She only hoped the others wouldn't look at her too badly. She did some pretty... unfortunate things when she was Siren. Hence the need for the split. Her voice broke a little as Melody threatened to come out as she nearly begged Kit to hurry. "Sooner rather than later, Ryder."

Jerry left a few bandages for Jacqueline on the table before moving out, pulling on a black army jacket before swinging his bag on his shoulder. She didn't look like she needed them, but he still felt that having a few plasters around would be pretty handy. Walking out of the bar, Jerry quietly made his way to the nearest convenience store, planning to get an icecream before starting work.

As he walked, Jerry brought out his phone, checking the messages on the chat for the first time since the meeting. Nathan was out. Kit offered a ride to whoever needed it, Lucas was taking point on the technical side of things - on the client, at least. Tyler was covering for the target. And Derek had a plan, plus regrouping to work together for a more effective solution.

Meeting place was at HQ. He'd head there after getting some food.

Frowning a little, Jerry pushed the door open as he entered the store, wind from the airconditioner swooshing his bangs back a little. There were few people inside apart from the clerk, a young woman who looked as if she wanted to be anywhere else. Taking his time to browse the icecream section, Jerry gathered his thoughts in order, idly picking out a small tub of vanilla icecream before looking at a magnum bar.

How can I help for this operation?

... It doesn't feel right going after the target without information.
Jerry didn't like the idea of heading in blindly. It could lead to a few bad situations, especially in a fight, or harassment. Painting the guy's house black and trashing his laptop only worked if the guy liked black and needed a new laptop. And he didn't like fighting anyway.

Maybe he could scope out the place... Do I even know where the place is? What if I get caught and tip the target off? And I'm not equipped for it. Hmm, soda popsicle seems good...

Right, that decided it. After some thinking, Jerry grabbed a small cup of icecream and a bag of marshmallows and headed to the counter, joining the line. It sped by relatively fast, and soon enough it was his turn to pay. Stepping out of the store, Jerry ripped open the soda popsicle and stuffed it into his mouth, pulling out his phone to text on the chat.

To: Black Cat Group
Heading to HQ. Be there before 10, hopefully. I'll be looking up info on Mr Target too - splitting the load with Tyler, I guess.

Thank God he'd been trying to modify a game earlier in the day. Without that, Jerry wouldn't have had his laptop with him inside his bag, along with some gear. The rest could be found at headquarters, and he was heading there anyway to hear Derek's plan. No need for a pitstop at the apartment, for now at least. Chomping on the icecream and relishing the cold taste in his mouth, Jerry sent another text message to the group, almost as an afterthought.

To: Black Cat Group.
I've got food. Anyone allergic to marshmallows?

2200

Jerry opened the door just in time to hear Nathan's question in both his earbud and ears, swallowing the remnants of the popsicle as he did so.

"Position - Currently at HQ." He announced, shutting the door behind him as he entered. He gave a wave at Nathan, face and voice deadpan. "Sup, Leader. Brought something in case you were hungry."

With a droll face and fake reverence, Jerry carefully placed the cup of icecream and the bag of marshmallows he was carrying onto the table beside Nathan as if he were offering tribute to a God, giving a slight bow as he did so that was more in jest than out of anything else. "Accept my humble offering, o mighty leader," Jerry intoned. The complete lack of inflection in his voice made it near impossible to tell whether he was being serious or joking, although anyone who knew him would know that he wasn't being serious at all.

What? It wasn't as if he did this every single time (only when the mood stroke him), but hey, it was funny - to Jerry, at least.

Without checking Nathan's reaction Jerry headed towards a small cardboard box. Pulling out a couple of thumbdrives from it, he slipped them inside his pants pocket before taking a seat opposite Nathan, pulling out his laptop and switching it on. Taking a seat as he waited for a few necessary programs to boot up, Jerry unceremoniously ripped open the bag of marshmallows and popped one in his mouth, enjoying the sweet taste.

He took a second one but hesitated, holding it between his fingers instead. "Should I head elsewhere?" he asked Nathan quietly. He had headed to HQ to hear Derek's plan, but he wasn't here right now. If need be, he could head over to Tyler or Lucas to form an impromptu hacker circle or observe the target from afar, while trying to find information online.

The job had Kit on edge, nothing about it was adding up at the moment and the butterflies were beginning to flutter in her stomach - not the good butterflies either. Deciding it would be best to have a little distraction, Kit reached over and turned the radio on. Turning the nob til she find the right station, keeping the volume at a comfortable level as she leaned back in her seat - hoping tonight wouldn’t have any surprises.

"Alright, everybody call with your positions. Remember, we're trying to frighten this guy, not cause any major damage.” The voice in Kit’s teal earpiece said, causing her to jump slightly. Leaning forward in her seat, Kit glanced around at her surroundings. Reaching up and pressing a button on her earpiece, “I’m near Snider’s.” She mumbled, before reaching up and adjusting her rearview mirror.

Kit had made herself comfortable, her sneaker propped up beside her steering wheel as she played with a strand of her hair. The vibration of her phone catching her attention, she reached over as Melody’s voice came through her earpiece. "Looks like someone needs a pickup, Ryder. And you might want to make it fast. She's dressed in little more than her birthday suit.” Kit’s eyes went wide as she cranked her car, the engine purring to life before she unlocked her phone. Rolling her eyes at the text she received from Derek. Worry about yourself - Kit She typed back quickly with a small smirk before she put the car in drive, pulling out of her little spot and heading towards the target’s apartment. She reached up to press the button on her earpiece again, “I’m assuming Wolfling is near the perps apartment..” Her thick accent giving way to her slight nervousness. Wondering where Rey was, Kit shot her a quick message: Picking up wolfling and siren, you good? -Kit

Kit stepped on the gas trying to get to the right spot, mentally mapping out a good get away route for when she picked Cenna up. She took a deep breath, trying to calm down before she got there - putting her window down and letting the wind tousle her hair.

“Threat delivered and Target is out. Ryder, extraction please.” Her roommate’s voice made her speed up, she was about to speak when the Siren’s voice came through again. “Sooner rather than later, Ryder.” With that, Ryder put her the pedal to the medal - running a few stop lights as she went. “You’re near the target’s place too? I’ll be there in five.”

She turned onto the road, seeing the two figures in the distance, slowing down so they could both hop in. You need a ride?-Kit She sent to Derek as she came to a stop to let the girls in, knowing he had to be close by. She reached behind her seat and handed Cenna a jacket, before turning her attention on Melody - giving her a small smile knowing she had to be ready to drop the Siren act.

Relief filled the young Black Cat's chest as she saw Kit's car speeding towards her. She stopped just a foot from her feet and she opened the door to climb in. She turned and Derek was out of sight. She had hoped he would get in the car with them, but maybe he would choose to walk home. He was one to be alone, but she wanted to make sure he was okay. She leaned back in the chair and her roommate turned to smile at her. She smiled back weakly and practically shook her Siren persona off her body. Melody was left shaking in the leather seats. It was more out of adrenaline than fear, but she knew a lot of things could've gone wrong.

If the target had been a fighter, he could've easily fought her off. He could've taken her knife and... She swallowed bile that threatened to come up. She would not embarrass herself by getting sick in the getaway car. She also knew that Kit would have an absolute fit if she made a mess in the car. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes, allowing the car's motion to calm her. After taking a few deep breaths, her shaking subsided and so did her nausea. It wasn't a high risk mission, but as someone who wanted to join the police force, she had made herself aware of every possible risk that could come with a mission so she could ready herself to face them. She broke the silence of the car and asked, "Kit," she said, obviously Melody and not Siren, "You up for a drink tonight?" Of course, she didn't mean a drink drink. She hates alcohol and what it does to her body and mind. But she was definitely up to a delicious cup of rich hot chocolate. At the last second she reached out to someone else in her mic. "Ty? You up for some too?"

She wanted to see her friend. They had been so busy preparing, her for the field and him for the tech room, that she hadn't had much time to spend with him. She missed him more than she thought able to express.

A small smirk crept upon her lips, listening to Cenna apologize. It was both adorable and a tad bit funny and when Meia asked if she had interrupted anything Audrey simple just said, "nope" before finishing off the iced tea she had left in her bottle, smile faintly still on her lips.

20:00

Audrey's bike zoomed past cars with an ease that only a long time rider would have. She listened to everything everyone was saying through the earpiece but she was so into her ride at the moment that she forgot to check in. After parking her bike a block away from the guy's apartment she began walking with the backpack slung over her left shoulder looking like a student who just got out of school. To others she looked pretty normal, expecting nothing but books in her bag. As she reached the building Audrey was just in time to witness the target come out of his apartment complex and reached up to her ear, pretending she was scratching it as she pressed the button on the earpiece in order to talk.

"Alright, my turn. I'm going in." Was all she said smiling at some people, including Cenna as she passed her as if she didn't know her but then she whispered, "Looking good." Before continuing and casually entering the building. Audrey made sure to walk out of sight from all the camera's and pretended to check her mail even when one of the residents came her way. Once she had moved on, not giving her a glance in the slightest she trudged forward blowing a bubble with her cherry gum. After lock picking his door for the second time, Audrey slipped in and looked around. "Hm, nice." She whispered blowing a bubble again and setting her backpack down, slipping on her mask. Taking a second look around Audrey spotted an empty glass on the counter and picked it up looking at the nice design before shattering it against the wall where his T.v stood.

Before coming over Audrey thought that she'd tone this destroying his crap down a bit since bringing the bat looked a bit too suspicious. She kicked over one of the stools that sat at the kitchens counter then rummaged through his fridge, good thing she was wearing her biker gloves because if not her fingerprints would have been all over the house. "Ohhh, cherries!" Like an eager child, Audrey pulled out a handful of them and began eating them, wandering into the target's room. It's been about five minutes since she's been in the apartment and already she has broken a couple of things. "This looks like a good place." She said to seemingly no one, grabbing one of her spray cans. Audrey pulled her mask back up after pulling it down in order to eat then began writing something out in black spray paint on the wall.

When she finished she took a second to look it over, hands on her waist as if she was a superhero then nodded in acceptance once more, turning and packing her things back up but that's when it caught her eye. The open closet and Cenna's shirt laying at the foot of the guy's bed as if it was picked up and thrown there. Her shoes sat neatly on the floor next to the bed and Audrey couldn't help but make a slightly confused face. Where in the hell were her pants? Looking at her watch Audrey noticed she was about to hit the ten-minute mark so she grabbed the shirt and shoes and packed it away, taking another handful of cherries before leaving as if nothing ever happened. The message Audrey had written was simple and in a threatening looking font, tread carefully, it read.

Back on her bike, Audrey began playing with the cherry stem she had in her mouth with her tongue, her eyes locking on Kit's car as it took off. Smiling Audrey revved her engine and took off after them, riding side by side when she caught up to them, revving her engine a couple of more times, this time for Kit. With a big o' smile under her helmet, Audrey thought it was appropriate to mention Cenna's things. "Someone tell Cenna that I found her shirt and shoes, just shirt and shoes." she spoke into the ear piece.
