Celty || A term of endearment her older brothers dubbed her.
Princess || A respectful title used by the staff.
Lyra || In tune with the instrument, the lyre is a small sort of harpsichord that makes a lovely sound when plucked.

She could do to gain a pound or two.

She has no piercings on her body, not even her ears. There are no visible scars on the Princess's body, she's been kept very sheltered.

Eyes the color of red roses, hair a starch, snowy white. It was the color that most angels were associated with and none had as pure a hair color as she. Celeste has been sheltered her entire life, allowed to only live within the confines of her home. After all, it was dangerous out there, in a place where demons could lurk around the corners, where hate was spewed and people chanted for both war and peace.
Her wings are large and feathery white, they reflect the colors of the world around them, vibrant and shimmering. Of course, Celeste has only used her wings once or twice. She has only used them in practice while her brothers taught her to fly. As the youngest, they are vastly overprotective of her. To them, their little sister is the end all be all, the perfect picture of innocence and purity, not bloodstained from the war, but the picture every angel aspires to be. Of course, not everyone is perfect, their younger sister that they thought to be so complete suffered a great deal at the hands of ignorance and not knowing the terrors of the world. She has no real world skills, no training in combat since they never expected her to fight; weak in every sense of the word.

Twirl || When she's happy, Celeste will do pirouettes across the floor.
Nail bite || When concentrating very hard, Celeste will bite her thumb nail on her none dominant hand. A terrible habit that her parents have been trying to get her out of for years, but have never succeeded.
Singing || In the halls, in the bathroom, while painting, while working. She sings at every opportunity that comes her way. It's quite an annoying habit, but it's undoubtedly not the worst either.

ⓌⒺⒶⓀⓃⒺⓈⓈⒺⓈ
Lies || Princess Celeste cannot tell a lie for the life of her.
Chocolate || Sweets in general really, she isn't allowed to eat much of them and so she covets each bite.
Warmth || The princess is prone to getting very cold and so you can normally see her wearing long sleeves.
Stuffed toys || A fan of all things cute, it's very typical for someone like her to become so easily distracted.

ⓈⓉⓇⒺⓃⒼⓉⒽⓈ
Memory || Celeste has quite the stellar memory, she can remember even the most obscure details.
Painting || She's quite the artist, she makes all of the paintings in her room by hand.

Princess Celeste's birth was an occasion to celebrate, throughout the pregnancy, the Queen had faced difficulties, unknowing that she was bearing a child and fighting on the battle field. It was in the middle of a landmark victory that the Queen Callisto went into labor and had her infant daughter right there. Far too small with featherless wings that would soon come in the same glossy white as the rest of her family. It was in that moment that Callisto and Zadkiel decided their youngest daughter would never see the troubles of war. They bundled her in a blanket and shielded her in armor before taking the little princess to the newly restored palace in the Capital City of Heaven, Eden.

Her family received her warmly, her older brothers becoming fiercely protective and the once youngest sister ecstatic to have a sister instead of brutish brothers that didn't understand her. It was an instant bond and the two sisters became close. While their older brothers learned skills such as strategy and fencing, Mizuki took up archery and trained to shoot flaming arrows with her light gift. Celeste on other hand was no good with weapons and more likely to hurt herself than others, so she was not allowed to take up such dangerous things. Her light gift, shape shifting, was something that she practiced often, but again, Celeste did not come anywhere close to her older siblings. In the end, she stuck to more girlish activities like painting and dancing. The Princess's watercolors became a coveted gift in the noble households and getting one was the equivalent of earning a hand in the ring to contest for the Princess's love.

Not that Celeste thought about any of those things. The little Princess was spoiled rotten and her family had no qualms with treating her as a stuffed animal. For the most part, Celeste had a peaceful life. She used to be allowed to stroll through the streets of Eden until one night, she was taking a moonlit stroll to pick up more paints when she was attacked by a demon. He tried to steal the Princess away, to take her to their realm where he could sell her for a pretty penny. They had only gotten to the border when her brothers and sister came charging after him, having been alerted by their sister's disappearance. Since then, Celeste has not been allowed to leave the castle. She spends her days, sitting and painting in the garden, or taking lessons in the ballroom, but longs to see the outside. She had no idea that her wish would come true in the most unusual way.

❝When you are in a garden which flowers do you pick? The most beautiful ones.❞

"Mizuki, look out!" Celeste called, using her scythe to deflect another arrow. Her sister was a whirling dervish of arrows and flames, disappearing into the mass like a cloud of smoke. Celeste's heart fell, it seemed that they wouldn't get to speak, or at least, she believed so until Mizuki returned and declared that she would protect them. "I-I believe you!" Celeste turned back to the battle at hand, she needed to focus on the fight, not the fact that her sister who had been missing for who knows how long had simply appeared before them like a mirage. Her eyes surveyed the landscape, there were fallen inundating the Square in Eden from all directions. Citizens were screaming, children were crying, it was a mass of confusion that seemed to have one general consensus; move. "Princess, please, go this way to safety!" Celeste shook her head, she was done being weak, she wasn't about to back down, not in front of all of these people who had never believed in her.

Ami and Finn rounded the corner, their expressions one of bemusement at the sight of Celeste's older sister, who was grinning madly as she shot at anything that moved. Celeste swiped her scythe at a fallen, her mind flickering through different transformations she could do that would be useful. With a great roar her body began to change, her eyes flickering a multitude of colors before settling on an almost amber. Horn elongated from her skull and her skin seemed to take on an almost scale like texture. A few fallen that watched the transformation back peddled to fight against a different opponent. Celeste grinned, was she really that scary looking? She didn't know, but there was no time for thinking. Her heart raced, her blood pumped, she gave a running leap off of the stage to join Kitra in the fray, the spray of blood making her head spin. There was an occasion before, one not at all similar to this, where Celeste had lost herself in a fight and had accidentally killed someone, this time however, she allowed the blood lust to overpower her.

At Kitra's beckoning, Celeste looked up, her eyes widening as she saw it. Dragons weighed down in heavy chains lumbered through the skies, their eyes looking almost dead. Her heart gave a great lurch, her knees weakening at the sight of the poor animals. "They're endangered," Celeste fumed, "How could they? How could they hurt them?" This only served to usher the anger in further and her fits clenched around her scythe. "I'll kill them!" Celeste screamed, no the dragons of course but the fallen that were hurting them. "I'll kill them, kill them, kill them!" Her chest heaved with the effort of swinging her scythe to and fro. Behind her, Councilman Onoel was struck through with a talon the size of a small dog. Gabriel eased the man to the ground, "You're forgiven," he spoke softly. "Your death will not be in vain."

Celeste was tiring, it was clear that her transformation was taking a lot out of her. Still she fought, a mad laugh escaping her. Her white hair was covered in blood, her ceremonial festival robes torn and bloodied. Her eyes were glowing oddly as she fixed them on the surge of people coming towards her. Something struck her, Celeste didn't even seem to notice. She continued to fight, raising and swinging, slashing her claws and gnashing her teeth. Another roar came from her, Celeste appeared to be losing herself. "Take her down!" Someone shouted and a great many came at her at once.

❝Truth and lies and everything is reborn.❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#8f8c89 ♙ тнσυgнт cσƖσя :#7D65B3

|| Manic || Plumb ||

The battle was breaking out all around them and Kitra felt horribly weak compared to how strong she was supposed to be, using speed and agility and sharp blades to cut through all her enemies one by one. Yes, it would hasten her eventual succumbing to the monster inside of her, but it'd be worth it, after what these horrible creatures did to these poor dragons that probably just wanted to live out their lives in peace. Mizuki' had somehow come back, even if only for now and - oh no, Celeste. "Princess Celeste, don't overdo it, let's just-" But it was too late, Celeste was beyond hearing now, the enslaved dragons was enough to set her off into a rage. Everything was happening, Gabriel's life was just barely saved by someone who had been an enemy for the past week or longer.

Celeste was powerful, so much stronger than Kitra has ever been, even at her peak. As strong as Kitra wanted to be, Celeste was so much stronger in every way. In one way it was a little frustrating because Kitra couldn't protect her anymore - Celty was going to have to be the one to protect her instead... just thinking about that made her feel weird and it wasn't exactly a bad thing. "Celty, you need to-" And then a flaming arrow shot at her, almost like a warning of her disguise. So the demon shook her head and lashed with her electrified chain and then hopped up onto the roof. Enemies were flocking all over Celeste and Kitra had to make Celeste snap out of it! Too many Fallen, too many dead in every which direction, the former Demon Queen had only one priority. Keep Celeste safe. Celty was out of control now, if she wasn't careful she would end up hurting someone she never intended to.

Iaoth and Iaoel were locked in deadly combat, but the Fallen was losing. While Iaoel was fighting with all of his fury and rage, Iaoth seemed almost sad as he went face to face against his brother who once loved him so dearly. "You know, ever since you stole Ina from me, I should have known we'd be enemies." The angel brother snarled, trying to kill his brother. "I loved her, and then you stole her heart before I could do anything." Iaoth's eyes glossed over and he seemed almost like he wanted to cry. "I loved her too, brother." The Fallen said quietly. And Iaoel fought even harder, swinging his weapon faster and stronger than before. "If you loved her." Iaoel hissed. "Then kill yourself, here and now!"

And so the Fallen did just that, he swung his weapon at his own throat - but that was when at Gabriel's orders, Ami appeared, grabbing and twisting his arm behind him. "Not so fast, King Gabriel's got a whole lotta things he wants to ask ya!" The shadow puppeteer said with a grin. "Fallen, we got your mouthpiece, so just surrender! You can't win anymore! If you surrender we'll let you live!" And so the Fallen, one by one, lowered their weapons. "And free your dragons as well, dragons deserve better than to be slaves." Finn added in a not-as-confident voice. Kitra was clinging to Celeste, almost shouting into her ear. "The fight, it's over now, you need to turn back into an angel or else everyone will be scared of you again! You did good, but you have to take control of yourself now and get healed up!" A small electric shock would hopefully be the push Celty needed back into sanity.

Those poor creatures, it broke Celeste's heart. Those dragons with chains around their necks, with irons clamped around their will. Who dare thought they could capture those beasties and enslave them? "Let. Them. Go! There was a puddle at her feet, her boots were soaked through with glimmering crimson stains that Nani was going to have a tough time getting out. They were weighing her down, so Celeste did the natural thing and discarded them, running into the snow with no regard for the broken glass or wires on the ground. "Take cover!" Something exploded beside her, but it hardly seemed to deter the angel. Her wings had become strange, the texture having changed to one almost of leather with little spikes along the spine. The pupils in her eyes had narrowed to near slits, if she kept going, well, things might get much, much worse.

The fallen had surrounded her, but before Celeste could react someone had grabbed her and sent a shock along her arm. She screamed and thrashed, swinging her scythe, just narrowly missing Kitra. The angel let out another roar, the remaining conscious in the back of her head was slowly getting swallowed. "Move," Gabriel had seen this once before, he knew what to do. He didn't use his blade, but instead blinded Celeste with light and used the blunt side of his sword to knock her out. She crumpled cold to the ground, her scythe clattering from her hands and returning to its original size. She seemed to shrink in that pile of snow, her body sizzling with waves of heat from having been a dragon so long. Her breathing came out in small, laborious bursts and it was hard to tell if she had lost more blood than she gained. "Take her back to the palace. Now." Slowly, faces began to reappear, the people coming to see what had happened; well, the ones that hadn't fled but instead hid in their homes.

"It's not safe yet!" Gabriel bellowed, "clear the area! I want a search set up of any remaining fallen!" The soldiers that remained standing and uninjured were already carrying out the orders being given, setting up perimeters, cleaning up the dead. He too, had blood splashed across his moon festival robes. He wouldn't appear at the castle again until late at night, there was a lot of work to be done, but when he finally did come home Celeste had yet to awaken and he needed an audience with Kitra. They weren't in the throne room, but a different, smaller one. Gabriel did not take a seat, Ami and Finn were guarding the doors. "This is why I didn't want her to fight, this is exactly why she isn't supposed to be out there!" It was clear that he was frustrated, that he felt as though every move he was making was the wrong one. "Celeste has no control, you saw her out there, she was a monster."

"She can't fight again, it was too close today." After a beat or two, Gabriel finally collapsed into a chair. "You think she's strong, but she's uncontrollable. Kitra, it is now more than ever Celeste is going to need your protection, now that they've seen what she's capable of." He leaned forward, "you're strong, probably one of the best fighters I've ever seen, Hell will be lucky to receive you as their Queen once more."

❝Truth and lies and everything is reborn.❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#8f8c89 ♙ тнσυgнт cσƖσя :#7D65B3

|| Manic || Plumb ||

Demons were raised to view strength as beautiful, as something to be admired and Kitra couldn't help but have her breath taken away at the current Celeste. Even if it was bad for her, even if Celeste was hurting herself, there was a sort of beauty here that Celeste only very rarely exhibited, an overpowering show of mighty force no one could hope to hold down and prevent. Celeste as a dragon was breathtaking, it was amazing, in so many ways she wanted to just stare and watch forever. "Snap out of it, idiot." Mizuki suddenly flew in next to her, her bow glowing with energy that it didn't before. "Yes, she's hot to you, fine, but don't you see that this is bad for her? If you want us to hand Celeste to you, you better know when to take care of her." Well, that was enough to snap Kitra to attention but then there was a flash of light and Celty was knocked out, the battle was over now.

Both Gabriel and Mizuki were berating her then and the Council was staring oogly eyed at the fact that Mizuki was back after so long. Even in the past, Mizuki was always the sibling that was the hardest for them to control. She never cared about the rules, always did things whatever she wanted, screw the consequences! And so it was very bad for the Council that she was back, even if it was only for a short while. "You're doing a pretty crappy job, even after I saved your butts way back when." She whispered and Kitra had to keep on her calm face because she wasn't Kitra, not with the Council looking. She was Orana, that was the face she had to wear.

They went back to a smaller room, letting Selene and Ami and Finn take care of the aftermath. Celeste was too weak to fight now, she was injured badly and Nani had to tend to her wounds because once again, Lilim was somewhere else, dealing with a different problem in Hell right now, a problem involving a roll of gum, two poisoned pears, and a bomb made of dragon's bone. "She was beautiful." Kitra muttered and then Mizuki shot her a very poisonous glare and it was clear Gabriel was still in shock that his long lost sister was finally back. "Can we train her to recognize the signs and hold it in?" Because something like that, demons could really relate to a lot.

"You all know about demons and their inner monsters, right? How they're always trying to break out, so we're always needing to be on guard to hold it in and stay sane?" Even now there was the mental dull roar of the spider trying to burst out and attack everyone, it was only due to Kitra's own will that kept her in control of the body. "Instead of formal education, most demons go to school to learn how to control it. What if I put Celty into a similar program, would that help her stop this from happening again?" At least to her, it seemed like a similar sort of idea.

"We've tried those method," Gabriel scrubbed a hand over his face. "The problem is, is that when she turns, the urge of the animal takes over. You've probably seen it before," he looked up at Kitra, dark circles underneath his eyes. "As a mouse she was skiddish, as a kitten probably devious and brave. There's no real way to pon point it because when the change happens, it becomes a different animal." To train herself against all of those things would be an impossibility. "Thanos may have been onto something, as much as it pains me to admit it." He had been the closest to getting it under control, they just needed to know how he had done that. "Kitra, you were there, what methods did he us?" Finn asked, stepping away from the door as it was clear that no one was coming. Ami hung back, just in case. It would do them no good for a council member to walk in here at this time and hear the things they were conversing of.

Both mentally and physically, Kitra was much stronger than Celeste, it was only thanks to her angelic gift that she could ever hope to overpower the others. "Celeste can't fight again," you could tell by the tone of his voice that it was the bottom line. "King Gabriel, I think you should head to bed," Ami said gently, "you're tired, it's been a long day for everyone." Gabriel shook his head, standing. "My people need me, I can't rest in their time of need."

"The people need a King with a clear head and one night's sleep, go to bed." Gabriel turned to Kitra one last time, "keep in mind the things we discussed, don't let her transform again until we've come up with a solution." With that Gabriel bade them goodnight, he needed the rest, it was a good thing he had finally succumbed to the shadows beneath his eyes and the sleepiness pulling at him in every which direction. Upstairs, Celeste was just rousing, groaning from both pain and soreness. She wasn't as injured as she could have been, mostly just sore with scrapes and gashes. Her feet was where it was the worst, the bottoms of them had been bloodied by bits of broken glass and protruding wire.

"Mmm, what happened?" Her eyes blinked slowly, they returned to their original crimson color. "Princess, oh, thank goodness!" Nani flung herself to Celeste's side, there were tears in her eyes as though she had been very afraid that Celeste wouldn't wake up. "Thank the stars, oh my Lord, don't move, don't try to move, it must hurt, hang on, I'll go find Kitra." The flurry of sound to her sensitive ears was enough to make her wince. Celeste sat up slowly, her wounds were already on the mend thanks to the fact that she was in Heaven and thus the light went easily to her body. It would still take time, maybe a day or two until she was in top shape once more.

So they wanted to ask about... about what Thanos did, was that it? It was painful to admit it, but he did have it under control, or as close as can be. But there was an obvious problem with whatever solution Thanos had, wasn't there? "I don't really remember it easily, I wasn't fully conscious either, right? Thinking about that time is like trying to think into a fog." Maybe with effort, but at least at the moment it was nigh impossible to fierce the fog blocking her memories. Gabriel seemed a bit crestfallen so Kitra sighed and continued. "But I know for sure it has something to do with curse magic. I can try to find out, but I'll have to pay my life energy as a price." That's how it works, after all. "But if it meant Celty's safe, I don't mind paying the cost." Because this was true love.

It was time to go then but Mizuki suddenly pulled her to the side, seemingly intent on having some kind of talk. "So, I disappear and then I come back and everything's turned to shit, is that what you're trying to tell me?" The purple eyed angel asked with a very pointed glare. "Some chick named Maya thinks she can do what she wants, the old Demon Emperor is trying to regain his throne, the Angel Court's so corrupted that they've got sticks up eachtother's butts. So tell me, Kitra, why did you all just let this happen?" Kitra grit her teeth at this infuriating angel, she wasn't here, she didn't know how tough it was. "If we didn't go to the Flowersea, Celty and I would be dead." The archer nodded but waved it off, as if she knew that already "But at the cost of how many lives?"

Kitra left then but Mizuki's last words were haunting her. "Once peace is here, do enough good to make up for the lives it took to let the both of you live." Mizuki said and it was too late to keep talking to who was likely one of her biggest enemies. Nani was here, a big smile on her face. "Anora, she's awake, Celeste is awake now, you should come and talk to her!" And that was exactly what Kitra did, dashing as fast as she could back to the medical room where Celeste lay. "You're awake, geez, you everyone. No more fighting for you unless you really wanna get hurt worse and make people worry, okay?" She nuzzled her head on Celty's filled with love in her eyes. "Take care of yourself better."

There was no need to tell Celeste about her possibly needing soul magic to save her. That would cause nothing but guilt and stress. So instead the demon had another idea. She was already all bathed and dressed after that battle, of course, otherwise she'd be filled with blood. "It'll cost a bit of energy but let' do it." And so Kitra drew the circle and summoned it, a communication circle, with Lilim and Raphael on the other end. Their battle was over too, judging from the Onyx Citadel in the background. "Celeste, Kitra, it's been a long time!" Lilim giggled and Raphael stared. "Kitra who? I just see this blue angel here, what's a Kitra?" So the demon mimed smacking him in the mouth. "Don't." She growled. "Celty, wanna tell them about the surprise?" Said surprise being Mizuki's return, after all.

"We'll think of something else then," if Celeste found out that Kitra was using life energy to try and control her, well she wouldn't be happy. "There has to be another way," Finn mused, "I'll start looking," and he too, went off, Ami close at his heels. They would all look, knowing that Celeste wouldn't have it if it meant that she had to live for even a second without the girl she loved. It was crazy what one's heart could drive one to do. How one moment, you could simply go on existing and the next, cannot live without the presence of another. Perhaps love was the most dangerous thing of all, it could build nations, crumple alliances, cripple the most powerful of beings. These examples could be seen throughout history, dating back as far as the One God and Thanos themselves. Love was what the brothers used to have, until something got between them and made them separate, one creating angels and the other demons. One treating his people with kindness and grace, the other using his people as slaves to carry out his will.

The curtains in the room rifled, Celeste turned to see Kitra coming, her gaze full of worry. "I'm sorry," Celeste frowned, "I didn't mean to scare anyone," she looked around the room, then back at the two worried eyes that could belong to no one but Kitra. "Fighting? Was that what happened?" She leaned her head back against the pillow, "I can't really remember what happened," Celeste mused, her cheeks heating when Kitra nuzzled her head affectionately against the angel. "I recall standing on the stage and then an explosion," after that her memory was hazy, she could feel distinct rage and a possible struggle. "I'll try," Celeste smiled up at her, feeling more relaxed now that Kitra was here.

"Yeah, I'd like to speak to them." It was about time they spoke to Raphael and Lilim, especially after how today went. Almost instantly Lilim and Raphael began to tease Kitra on her appearance, which Kitra warned them to put an end to. There was no telling who could walk in at any moment, so it was smarter to keep things on the down-low. "Um," Celeste tilted her head to the side in confusion, "oh, oh right!" She sat up in bed and winced, she needed a shower. "Mizuki's back!" At this information, Raphael nearly bowled over. "What?" His chair toppled, he was leaning so close through the communicator that he had become blurry and out of focus. "What do you mean she's back?" He was clearly hurt that his own twin sister didn't drop by for a visit, not that she had the time.

"Um, maybe you should explain? My memory is sort of hazy," Celeste admitted sheepishly and looked down at her toes, which were wrapped in bandages. "Also, do you think we could go up to my room? The smell in here is making my lungs hurt." The room smelled like floor cleaner and sterilization, neither particularly pleasant. Celeste much preferred her room, which was cozy. Just the thought of returning there and laying in her own bed was enough to make her feel warm, especially with a certain someone beside her.

It was always going to be like this, wasn't it? Kitra was always going to be the one to worry and fret for Celeste, and Celeste would always be pampered and spoiled and filled with love. Celty just seemed built to make people worry about her, the way she was as meek as a little kitty, or how she could be as reckless and in danger as a rampaging dragon. "Making people worry is one of your charms, you shouldn't apologize for that." Kitra bent down to kiss Celeste on the lips, savoring the taste. "Once you're better, let's give you another douse of Heaven, hmm?" Speaking quietly of course, hoping no one could hear because it was public knowledge that Orana and Azphille were lovers, just as how Celeste and Kitra were nearly obsessed with one another. She explained the fight, about Celeste's rampage because of the enslaved dragons, she explained how the battle ended, and Iaoth was now imprisoned, awaiting sentencing.

"Don't worry, Gabriel set free the dragons and is nursing the ones that are too injured to move." Of course leaving out the detail that it was Celeste that dealt those wounds in the first place. Okay, he wasn't actually doing the nursing himself but he set up a barn for the injured dragons to be fixed up and set back into the wild, away from the conflicts of angels and demons and fallen. "We won, but I guess you already knew that." With explanations done, Raphael and Lilim were called and they were quick to make the receiving magic circle. It was a rune specific to the Vacivus family, only those specifically taught by Lucifer could use it, so it was a good channel for private talks. Of course anyone with the user could listen and talk into it as well.

Mizuki was back! Lilm's eyes went wide and then she grinned slowly, her whole face lighting up with delight. "You know, back during my crisis, Mizuki and I predicted you guys would break up because Kitty blamed herself too much and you didn't think you were good enough for her, Celty." She made a nervous, guilty sort of wiggle and lowered her head. "But I'm so happy you two proved me wrong! "Apparently the One God had to bend a rule to allow Mizuki to be here, it's probably just to help out here until the Council's dealt with." She paused, thinking. Should they tell Raphael the truth, that Zadkiel wasn't really dead?

In the end, Kitra figured that the angel deserved to know, because he was an Angeal, after all. Technically, Lilim also was an Angeal. "King Zadkiel, he's not really dead, it's the Council's trick. That's why his name didn't come up at the Meeting." Both Raphael and Lilim were surprised and then Lilim was relieved and Raphael was angry that the Council had the gall to pull such a dirty trick. "We're dealing with it." Oh, right, something else needed to be said, this one specific to Lilim. "Oh, we found the other Taurus contender. She's an angel, goes by the name of Fiona, Lil." And instead of cracking a joke, the succubus just nodded seriously. "I'll face her when I'm ready." She said, no hurry to really become a Zodiac. "I got stuff to do here first. We, um, we managed to defend the Sloth Village, but Minerva got hurt pretty bad. Satan's gonna attack again tonight and we won't be able to stop him from taking it." Raphael nodded, his mouth a thin grim line. "Don't take too long in Heaven, we don't know how long we'll hold out, guys."

Raphael's reaction to Mizuki still being alive was one of joy, when his twin sister had gone missing, it was as though a piece of him had died. Twins worked best when they were together and Raphael and Mizuki were no exception. Water and fire, they were a powerful combo. For a while everyone expected them to be the next Gemini, but instead they received different marks, no longer bound to each other and while upsetting, they made do with the situation. There was hope in Raphael's eyes, hope that he would get to see Mizuki before she disappeared again. "I knew she was alive, I knew it," his eyes had that spark in them, the one that had been lost when Mizuki vanished, a part of something bigger than anything the angels and demons could comprehend. The Divine Stars was a secret, one that not even Zodiacs were supposed to know about. It was a surprise that Kitra wasn't one of them, all things considered.

"We'll save Papa, don't worry," Raphael nodded, fuming. "I believe in you," it made Celeste's heart warm to hear that someone believed in her ability. In the past her siblings would have pushed her to the side and told her to let them take care of it. "Just hold on a little longer, we'll try to wrap this up." It was late, they should have been sleeping by now but there were other things to discuss. For example, the fact that the other Taurus competitor was an angel named Fiona. Lilim was in no rush to prove herself this time, she was going to do it smartly rather than go head in like she had with Maya. That was about all they had to report, it was about time to say goodnight. "See you soon, keep holding on." It was a good thing they had ended it, Ryker came in not two minutes later to check on her. "Princess, good, you're awake." He gave a quick bow to Princess Orana and straightened.

"How are you feeling?" Celeste groaned, "Sore," she admitted. "I'd imagine, luckily it seems you're healing and there was nothing worse than scratches." That was good to hear, no internal bleeding, it meant that she would heal up right quick. "I recommend staying off your feet for the next day or so, it seems the injuries were their worst there." Celeste nodded at this news, her feet and legs were heavily bandaged. "Celeste, I think you should stay away from fighting, do not transform again until there is a way to control it." She nodded once more, "I've already been advised against it," she leaned back against the pillow, there wasn't enough room for both her and Kitra on this tiny bed. "Would it be alright to return to my room? I'd feel much more relaxed there," she admitted and Ryker nodded. "The comforts of home are ones that have good psycological effects so I see no reason not. Would you like for me to call Nani with a wheelchair?" Celeste nodded, wincing as she sat up once more.

Ryker disappeared behind the curtain, the clicking of his shoes disappearing behind the closed door of the med ward. "That was close," Celeste murmured. Doctor Ryker didn't know that Orana was actually Kitra, had he walked in on their conversation he would have been able to puzzle out the truth. "As much as I like Doctor Ryker and as many times as he's saved me, I don't know if we can trust him." There was no telling what the Doctor was doing behind closed doors. It was better to be safe than sorry, especially when it came to the puddings the council had their thumbs in.

It must have looked at least a tiny bit entertaining for the attentive and angry Kitra face to suddenly relax and become observant yet passive like Orana's must have been in the span of half a second, just in time to obscure her real self from Ryker when he came in to check on Celeste. It was sheer luck that they were able to end the runic call then and there but the demon was honestly worried, she didn't know how much longer they would have to be in Heaven, she didn't know how much longer the Hellian Army was going to last in this state, with Minerva out of the game. "How are the dragons?" Kitra asked as he checked Celeste over. "Azphille and I had a dragon after we escaped Heaven, so I was just worried that her kind was being hurt." Did that smooth the screw up over? Ryker rubbed at his nose and frowned. "I'm not an expert on dragon physiology, but none of them are in critical condition. We managed to remove the collars, but the poor things are so scared they won't let us get close to really examine the wounds."

Just thinking about the amount of pain and suffering the dragons had to go through was enough to make the former demon queen's blood boil and rage and fester inside of her. "It'll be good to go back to our rooms, I imagine the med ward will be filled with the injured civilians and soldiers soon." The inpatients that came from the emergency room were on their way, which meant this would no longer be a safe place to discuss things, plans. "The less people know, the better." Kitra said ambiguously. It was true, though. It was a smaller risk the more people you didn't tell, it meant one less chance of accidentally letting slip to someone who would tell the Council.

Nani came by then with a wheelchair and a smile. "Upsie daisy." The woman helped Celty on, and Celeste looked even smaller and more fragile than she usually did. It was such an odd dichotomy, that such an amazing source of power was also such a frail little thing that needed to be coddled and protected. "Go on to your room now, dearie. And thank you Orana, for caring for her when her usual friend isn't here." Nani was fooled by the disguise, like most people were. In this came it was a little painful though, Kitra didn't like lying to the nice kindly woman.

When Kitra and Celeste were back up to their room, they saw something on the wheelchair, a tiny little piece of paper. Was it a secret note? Kitra tried to read it but the letters were scrambled to her eyes. "I can't read it, it's charmed so only the intended one can read." Which meant it was a message from Ryker, and even though Kitra didn't know it, it was a message explaining how the Council executed his sister and took her son hostage and how if Celeste found out where his nephew was hiding, he would let them see Zadkiel once before escaping from Eden with the last of his family.

It made her heart warm to hear that the dragons were doing alright, that they had been freed of their enslavement and would now get to return home to the wilds of Heaven and Hell. "That's a relief," Celeste smiled, breathing out ever so slightly as she adjusted the position she was lying in. It was hard to get comfortable when you're covered in bumps and bruises. Another form of relief came when it was announced that she would be able to return to her room, away from prying eyes that would begin to fill the med ward as soldier brought in the injured who would need to sneak treatment after the stunt the fallen had pulled. Tomorrow Gabriel would make an announcement to all of Heaven, what it was Celeste wasn't sure but it would probably include something along the lines of not interfering with the dragons, that they would rebuild, that this being the new year meant they had another chance to expand Eden and revitalize the sections that had been decimated in battle.

"So many people lost their homes tonight," they would be taking shelter in school houses and friends until their homes could be rebuilt, the structures reinforced to withstand another attack, just in case. It was impossible to predict what the future would look like, for now all they could do was cross their fingers and hope that this would pass. "Thank you Doctor, I know it's probably not fun having to see me here all the time." Doctor Ryker nodded, "take better care of yourself," Celeste blushed and nodded. Doctor Ryker had an almost kindly smile on his face, "I know you're going to do great things one day," he said before leaving, which only served to make the angel blush further. "Great things? I wonder what they could be."

Back upstairs the fireplace had been lit, warming the room up quite nicely. In the winters the tower could sometimes be frigid, Celeste was glad to see that Nani had prepared everything for them so that they didn't have to shiver while the room warmed. Celeste eased herself back into bed, groaning with the pain of small movements. A slip of parchment fell out between the cracks in the chair, drifting to the ground. "What's that?" It seemed that Kitra couldn't read it, a curious thing considering Kitra had mastered both the angel and demon tongue. Celeste took the slip from her, the words slowly moving to rearrange and reveal themselves. Celeste's stomach dropped, she felt nauseous just reading it. "It's from Ryker," the angel informed Kitra, looking up at her.

"He-he says the council threatened his family," her stomach clenched. "They executed his sister and are holding his nephew hostage. If we find out where they're keeping him, he'll take us to Papa." A mix of emotions passed through her and for a moment her eyes glinted a dangerous yellow. Celeste shook her head and leaned back, closing her eyes. "We can't do anything about it tonight," she felt weak once more, the fighting took a lot out of her. "We can try to do something in the morning."

Celeste was too hurt to do anything now and Kitra was loathing the idea of sneaking around and going out without her. Maybe it'd be best to let Celeste rest and to go investigate on her own... but honestly, the demon liked the idea of the two of them tackling Heaven's problems as a team. It just felt better that way, it felt more natural. The two of them came together, they would solve the case together! But, well, for now Kitra could do something at least. "Yeah, just rest up, we'll think of what to do in the morning." For now Kitra could just write off areas that wouldn't be possible to hide a child in. Not that she knew how old Ryker's nephew was or anything. Could be a baby, could be a kid. "How old is the nephew?" Kitra asked quizzically. "I won't go anywhere, I'll just try and think... where is it possible to hide a kid?"

For now though it was time for sleep, for rest. "Let's sleep, it's late, and we both need it." The demo felt exhausted mentally from having to be someone else all the time, for having to be on guard at all times, not to mention casting the communication rune which took quite the punch out of her. So Kitra and Celeste went under the sheets and while they didn't achieve Heaven or anything - Celeste was probably too hurt for that - they did to a little snuggling, trying to find a comfortable position to end up in to fall asleep together in one another's arms. Still, it just didn't feel right, not in thi body, with these wings making it hard to find a good position, with her boobs filling up more space, with her hips and butt being huge things.

God, was Kitra excited to just get home and be herself again, in her rightful body. "I have a feeling you miss my tentacles more than I do, hmm?" Kitra sneered as sleep overtook her.

Eventually, it was morning again and they had things to do, didn't they? They needed to find Ryker's nephew, they needed to reunite them and then let Ryker escape from here, let him go to safety where the Council couldn't play him like a puppet anymore. So Kitra gave Celeste a morning wake-up kiss on the forehead. "Operation Save Ryker." The demon said in a low, conspiratorial voice after finishing their morning rituals. Ryker came in then for the morning check and it was obvious he hasn't had much sleep. "Sorry, I just need to see how you've been healing princess." He said so Kitra reluctantly allowed it only because he was a good doctor. If there was anything strange about Orana and Celeste sharing a bed he didn't say.

"I'll be in the medical ward all day, tending to the injured from yesterday's battle." Ryker announced, trying to make sure both girls heard it loud and clear. "So if you have anything to tell me, like for example your pain suddenly gets worse, you can find me there." He stared them both in the eye, making it very clear what his real intentions were. "So keep me updated, okay?" Gabriel had a big speech thing that was about to happen or whatnot, after that it'd be time for investigations, wouldn't it?

"I'm not sure, I never really gave a thought to his family," Ryker was young, that much they could tell based on the way his feathers grew. "I didn't really think he had a wife or children, he just doesn't strike me as the type to actively seek out a partner." He seemed the intelligent type, the kind that would wait until they've finished all of their schooling before ever going out on a date. He was also the top researcher and Doctor for the Royal Hospital, no doubt Ryker found that he had no time for things like courting a lady, or perhaps a man. Love came in all sorts of shapes and sizes and while it was certainly rare, it was impossible. Not that Celeste was suggesting anything, Ryker could love whichever gender he wanted and the royal family would have no qualms, especially since one of their children had turned out to like the same gender.

"Yeah, there's plenty of time to think of things in the morning," Celeste tried to curl up in Kitra's side, but Kitra seemed to be having difficulty finding a comfortable position with her wings. "It's easier to sleep on your side," Celeste suggested, her own wings sprawled in the opposite direction. When Kitra made a devious taunt, Celeste's cheeks flushed bright pink. "Goodnight," she said quickly and planted a kiss on Kitra's collarbone before dozing off, sleep coming easy considering the amount of energy she had used in the battle earlier that day. By the time morning came, Celeste felt well rested and ready to start the day, at least until she remembered the aches and pains as her body creaked from overexertion. Ryker had warned her yesterday to stay off of her feet today, it seemed that Celeste might just have to do that.

"Let's start looking," Celeste agreed with a nod. There came a knock on the door, it was Doctor Ryker himself, coming to check up on Celeste. "I recommend a bath to prevent infection," Celeste nodded. "A bath sounds like a good idea," especially since she was still covered in grime and dust. Perhaps she would have Nani change the sheets later. "We'll keep you updated, the speech is going to start soon, I have to go down there." Ryker nodded and left the two girls alone. "Kitra, do you think you could um, help me bathe and get dressed?" Celeste blushed. Getting to the bathroom was going to be difficult since it hurt so much to move. She couldn't just laze around in bed though, not when there were important things that were happening outside of the four bedroom walls. In the garden, stands were being set up to allow the people to come onto the palace grounds and direct them away from the flowers so that the plants might not get trampled.

An hour later, Celeste was bathed and redressed, ready to start the day. "We should be there to support him," Celeste was saying when the door opened and Nani came in with breakfast. "Eat quickly girls, the King wants you by his side. He has an important announcement," not a half an hour later the girls were downstairs, Celeste still sitting in a wheelchair, her injuries largely covered by the gown she was wearing, Kitra as Orana by her side and Gabriel striding across the palace grounds, looking more rested than he had in a long time. "Morning," he said to the two with a polite nod. "Morning brother," Celeste smiled up at him. "How are you feeling?" Celeste shrugged and regretted doing so almost instantly. "Better than yesterday," that was the truth. Gabriel turned to address the crowd, a hush falling over them.

"As you all know, yesterday, the fallen staged an attack on Eden during the Annual New Moon Festival," there were boos and jeers, not directed at the King but in response to the attack. "Today, however, we begin anew. Eden has long since needed an expansion and I think we should take this opportunity to rebuild. Not only our Kingdom, but our hearts and our drive. We, as angels, have always pushed ourselves to achieve greater heights, no pun intended," there were a few chuckles, it was a good joke. "The New Moon Festival marks the coming of the new year and just like this historical event, Heaven will rise anew from the ashes of yesterday and push for a better, more beautiful tomorrow." There were claps, thunderous applause.

"There are, of course, a few more things in need of addressing. The tyrant that led the battle on our beloved city is in custody and will not be released after further questioning." He paused, turned to glance at Celeste and Kitra before turning back towards the crowd. "The next thing I need to address is the matter of my sister," a hush fell upon the people. "As you all know, Celeste was due to be executed for her crimes of treason against the crown. However, these crimes were not enacted by her own hand, but as a puppet of Thanos. It was she who turned on him and killed the most hated man," Gabriel cleared his throat. "As such, Celeste was sent on a journey, one far beyond our reach to a place called the Ebisu Flowersea, where she was given rebirth as an angel, gifted by the One God himself. Yesterday some of you may have seen my sister in action, protecting the people. She sits here beside me today as a Princess once more. I would to warmly and officially rewelcome my sister and her honored guest, Princess Orana, back to Heaven."

The angels in the crowd went wild, they cheered and stomped, screamed and whistled. Celeste felt her cheeks turning bright pink, the people had never cheered for her before, she had never been one of the famous members of the family unless you counted her paintings which were sold at art festivals. They were cheering for Kitra too, chanting Princess Orana and Princess Celeste's names.

It seemed today was going to have two main purposes - one was to search and find Ryker's nephew, the last remaining member of the doctor angel's family, and secondly, two support Gabriel for his speech, since no doubt he was nervous after the horrible fight that broke out last night. Perhaps there would be a third, perhaps if they could be smuggled into where Zadkiel was being held and tortured, they'd be able to break him out and then they wouldn't have to worry about killing the Council anymore. Once Zadkiel was rescued, the Council wouldn't have their hostage anymore, it'd all be resolved. So everything depended on if they could rescue Ryker's nephew. "If this goes smoothly, we'll be finished with the Council by tonight." Kitra said quietly as she bathed Celeste, talking business to avoid blushing too much. "But things never really go smoothly with us, to they?" It wasn't going to be that easy.

It didn't take them too long to be all set up and ready for the speech. Gabriel looked as if he appreciated them being here, and if anything it looked like the King - or Prince, really - was wearing a burden, but it was much lessened than what it once was. As if ever since two people showed up, he felt hope that once again they could fix Heaven and be happy together with what they had left. It was time for the speech, and a whole bunch of civilians were gathered, listening with bated breath. The hateful council stood behind them with Orana and Celeste on either side of Gabriel. Mizuki was supposed to be here, but explaining her return would probably be even more complex.

And so it happened. Gabriel was explaining it all, using his skill with words and people-reading and improvising to come up with a speech, finding it more fluid and natural than just reading off of a script stiffly. He first addressed Iaoth and the rest of the Fallen, and Mizuki was no doubt currently interrogating him to find out what he knew. Iaoel was in the crowd with his arms crossed, an angry scowl on his face at the mention of his brother. Selene was next to him, a fellow Zodiac, trying to tell him that he did the right thing. Fiona was there too, with two black flowers of mourning in her hands. Not that they knew it, but two of the orphans came to visit Eden with her, and they both died in the festival, Taurus's contender failed to protect them. Ami and Finn weren't even listening, lost in their own little world together off to the side.

When Gabriel's speech ended, something happened that no one could have predicted. A black portal appeared right above Gabriel's head and then Maya swooped down like a bringer of death, grabbing him by the throat. "That's nice and all." She said with a sort of bored sigh. "But your King is mine now. He and I need to have a bit of a talk, you see." Kitra sprung into action immediately, her electrified chain sparking and bursting. "Shadow princess, don't you dare!" Orana shouted as she swung it but then Maya appeared from behind her in her shadow. "That's not going to work, Orana." The shadow princess taunted. "I'm only borrowing him. You can have him back tomorrow." And like a wisp she melted, taking Gabriel with her.

Celeste beamed, her brother was doing such a great job. He stood proudly in front of his people, wearing a shiny crown and a new outfit that wasn't ruined by blood. Celeste would have to be fitted for a new set of festival robes, perhaps they could attempt the event in the spring, once the homes and families had rebuilt. There would be plenty of assistance from the palace of course, for now they had set up tents and most guest rooms were filled with families. They were handing out food and extra clothes, any previously arbitrary resources were quickly becoming necessary. Something as small as a patch of grass had become a plot for a family to temporary relocate to until they could set up shelters along the the cities. Heaven would preserver, as it always had. Through thick and thin, the angels would stick together. Hearing Gabriel's confirmation seemed to renew their energy and spirit, their cheers filling the space and making Gabriel break out in a well-earned grin.

It was once again at the height of the turning point when things pivoted. Maya appeared out of nowhere, jumping out of the shadows to grab Gabriel by the throat. "Let me go you tyrant!" He reached for his buster sword, normally attached by a magnetic latch between his wings, only to remember that he had left it with a soldier off to the side of the stage. Just like that the King was gone, swallowed by the depths of Shadows with no one but Maya to guide him through, which wasn't exactly comforting considering that the shadow user was a traitor. There were screams in the crowd, the people were in distress. With Raphael not here, the burden fell onto Celeste. Slowly the girl rose from the wheelchair, ambling forward at a pace that could be compared to an old woman.

"My people-" Celeste cleared her throat, attempting to get them to calm down. "My people, please lend me your ears!" There was a shuffle, a discord that was slowly untying as they watched the Princess, back from the dead, address them. "As it is decreed, in the King's absence, the next of kin is in charge. As King Gabriel has no wife and my older brother, Raphael, is on leave, means that until King Gabriel returned, I am in charge." Her heart fluttered nervously, Celeste had never pictured herself wearing the crown. She, as the youngest, was far from prepared to take on this burden that would have passed to three others before ever being handed down to her. She swallowed hard, feeling the eyes watching her, disbelieving, perhaps unfaithful that Celeste could maintain Heaven until King Gabriel fought his way back home.

"Please remain calm, I will do everything in my power to ensure our King's safe return! For now, please continue to rebuild and go about your daily lives, rest assured, we will not rest until King Gabriel has returned home safely!" With that said, Celeste sank back into the wheelchair, her legs killing her. "Let's go inside, I don't want to do or say anything that could incite fear in the people."

It was chaos now, Gabriel was gone, there was nothing they could do about it for now. It took all of Kitra's limited will power to just keep the twisted rage off of her face. And people like Lilim and Celeste thought that Maya deserved forgiveness, wasn't this proof that she really deserved to have her head chopped off? But then right before another mass panic broke out, Celeste started speaking, standing up slowly, looking frail, oh so frail yet also her strength of heart was shining so brightly and, okay, this was probably super inappropriate but Kitra was feeling the heat deep inside of her just from looking at how brave Celeste was, at how skilled she was at calming everyone down. "You did good, Princess." Kitra went into a deep bow then. "Let's go, our work today just got a whole lot more complicated."

Meanwhile there was a fight breaking out in the dungeons, but it wasn't from the two that Kitra expected. The plan was to go to Mizuki and tell her what happened to Gabriel, but it seemed the fire archer was distracted by something else - most particularly, her bow was aimed right at Councilman Astor. "I knew it! I knew it was you!" She hissed, an uncontrollable flame. "I'll kill you, I'll do it, I don't care anymore!" Astor just shrugged as if he didn't mind at all - or perhaps he had a feeling she wouldn't do it. "If you kill me, you'll become a Fallen." Astor said smugly. "You wouldn't be the Angeal Princess anymore, everyone despises the Fallen." They were arguing right outside of Iaoth's cell, the Fallen was just peering out timidly.

"Iaoth, I'll free you if you kill him!" Mizuki shouted and the Fallen was just sitting there in shock. "But he's just as likely to kill himself if you give him the means. Remember how he was captured during the battle, Princess?" Astor's tone was mocking and insulting and Mizuki didn't want any of it. "Princess Mizuki, you can't do that, let's resolve this peacefully since we're all on the same side." Kitra wheeled Celeste closer to it all and Mizuki just stared at her as if she saw a stranger walk in. Since when did the spider demon ever want to resolve things peacefully? "Tch, Orana, just shut up and let me handle this. All we need is a recorded statement from Iaoth that the Council hired them to attack and you're all goners."

But it seemed Astor didn't find that threatening at all. "Who would believe the words of a Fallen over the trusted Council, Princess?" Astor asked in an unpleasant sneer. "Besides, Iaoth here is not a good person. He killed the woman he loved, after all." And with that Astor just left, leaving Mizuki to stare at him as if he were an alien. The Fallen Gemini shrunk against his cell. "Is that true?" Kitra asked and he made a slow nod. "Yes." His voice was sad, as if he just gave up on life entirely. "Ina... both me brother and I fell in love with her since childhood. He had her first, then I made her fall for me." Iaoth shuddered, holding his head, curling into a ball. Where was the Fallen that was strong enough to stab Celty? "Then the Fallen came to our village, they took all the girls, so my brother and I went to find them, to bring them home. We became Gemini along the way..." His eyes were hollow, his black wings hugging him because no one else would. "She was broken. She was pregnant. There wasn't anything... I saved her, I did the right thing. But I became a Fallen and Iaoel never forgave me since."

Kitra said nothing. What the heck was she supposed to even say, anyways?

Celeste breathed a sigh of relief, glad that it was over. She hated speaking in public and even now, as she sat in the wheelchair, her legs shook at how much effort it had taken to speak before her people. For now until Gabriel returned, Celeste would be in charge of Heaven. The thought was terrifying, how she, a small, young angel, could possibly be in charge of such a large nation, even if it would only be for the next twenty four hours. No wonder Gabriel looked so burdened, no wonder her Mother and Father often seemed so exhausting. Just knowing that one wrong word could be the end of something was enough to make her hands tremble. She hid them in the folds of her dress, Kitra taking the handles of the wheelchair and pushing her back inside the palace, where the snow and wind could not reach, where ice could not creep down her spine and freeze her to her chair.

Downstairs in the dungeons, there was a battle between two strong wills. One being Mizuki, who had challenged Councilman Astor, the one that had decreed that Celeste be turned into a cat for an entire week so that they might confirm she had not used curse magic. What was he doing down here, where so few were permitted to go? It seemed that Mizuki was laying down accusations, trying to get him to confess that it was he and the council that had hired the fallen to attack them. The thought made Celeste's stomach clench painfully. "Councilman Astor, what Mizuki claims is a great accusation against the council, one might say, it could be enough to dismantle it completely." There was a certain threat in her inflection, Celeste was in charge for now, she would have to be the one to handle this mess.

Councilman Astor left, knowing that he could walk free since he had made no confession. Celeste glanced up at Mizuki, "Let's try not to kill anyone, alright?" Celeste sighed, leaning back in her chair. She couldn't speak honestly, not in front of their prisoner. "We need to go upstairs and talk," Celeste would be able to update Mizuki once they were alone. After many twists and turns, they finally found an empty room, the library. "Papa is being held hostage by the council," Celeste said, laying it all out. "They're trying to turn Gabriel into their puppet, so we-Orana and I, we came back to help him dismantle them." Celeste wasn't sure if Mizuki knew this, "they've put Mama in a home for the mentally unstable, no one will listen to her there. They've discredited her completely and now they want to undermine Gabriel too."

"Doctor Ryker said that if we can find out where they're holding his nephew hostage, he'll lead us to Papa." The problem was, they didn't know where Ryker's nephew was. "If we can start searching, I figured they're not holding him the palace grounds, otherwise we would have heard a child crying." Unless the nephew wasn't a child? Or perhaps in a coma? "I don't think they'd risk a servant opening the door and finding him."

It was a very tense confrontation but in the end Mizuki didn't actually go for the kill, and Astor managed to leave, and Mizuki retained her angel status. "Tch, I hate it." She spat, glaring. "I just know he's up to something, they all are. If I didn't have a special job assigned to me by that One God guy, I'd have totally killed him without caring." She glared at Kitra then, knowing that she was Kitra since she saw a glimpse of the Scorpio mark during the fight when she first appeared. Iaoth told his story and it made sense that Iaoel hated him, but Kitra wasn't sure who was right or wrong here. In the first place, the whole thing of being doomed to becoming a Fallen was just such a cruel thing. But then again one could argue that all demons face a fate just as cruel with the monsters sharing a body and soul with you.

So the three girls made their way to the library and Mizuki was quick to make a soundproof charm, one of the most useful charms available to angels, and one of the easiest as well. "Kitra, Celty, tell me everything, got it?" So Celeste took that as her cue to start and so she did, explaining all about what the Council did, about how Zadkiel wasn't really dead, about how he was being used, how they kept trying to control Gabriel until he broke, about how they took Callisto and had her placed in a mental institution where she lost all dignity and credit and authority as well. And when all was said - Kitra pitching in that Maya stole Gabriel for some unknown purpose - Mizuki's fist was practically aflame.

"I knew it!" She hissed, the usual temper tantrum starting up. "I knew it, of course it was them! Those slimy bastards! I was questioning Iao - whatever, I don't remember which one, the Fallen one, he told me the Council promised a safe haven for the Fallen to live if they attacked, if they took you, Celty, and gave you to them secretly." The missing princess grimaced then, her hatred was compounding. "They're our enemy, we have to kill them." Kitra growled. "Once we find Ryker's nephew, we can save Zadkiel and then we can kill the Council and let Zadkiel take the crown again." That was their plan, that was the best they had and Mizuki nodded, thinking.

"Alright, fine, we'll do things your way." Her expression softened then and she pushed Kitra to the side. "I need to talk to my sister, alright? So give us space." The two were most likely never going to get along, and that was just fine. Kitra did so, because she knew how much the two needed a chance to just talk to one another. "Geez, so much has changed. I'm sorry, my pesky human soul was - well, I'm not really allowed to talk about it, it's something more than just Zodiacs though." She sighed and hugged Celeste close. "Once Heaven's saved, I'm gonna have to disappear again. But whatever happens, you know I love you, right? So you better not forget me when I'm gone, you better live a super happy life, even if it means being with that unpleasant spider!" Mizuki had duties now above those of a Zodiac, it was only by luck she was allowed here one last time.

Mizuki was furious, she had every right to be, the way their family had been treated by the council was unacceptable. The council was trying to undermine and embarrass them, they took their Father, discredited their Mother, and now it was found out that they had tried to use the fallen to take Celeste hostage as well. Had it worked, they would have had Gabriel right under their thumb. Thankfully they hadn't anticipated Celeste's true strength and the fact that she could turn into a dragon. Now that they did know, though, they would be able to anticipate it. In this weekend state, any council member would easily be able to overtake Celeste. If not for Kitra who was constantly by her side, they probably would have already made a second attempt. Thankfully they couldn't just put Celeste down now, not with Gabriel missing and they had no idea how much Celeste and Orana truly knew, which meant that for the time being the two girls were safe.

Mizuki was a force of her own to behold, the council seemed almost scared of Celeste's fearless older sister who could not stand the thought of their family being torn apart. "I won't be able to fight, but I can throw them off." Celeste squirmed in her chair, feeling restless having to sit around while the others would get to do the actual fighting. Once again she found herself unable to contribute to the real struggle. Celeste would be busy with Gabriel's duties, however, until Maya returned their King. "We'll have to elect an entirely new council," Celeste mused aloud. "Or maybe get rid of it altogether," the council was only there to ensure that the angels didn't have too much power. Getting rid of it would mean laying waste to the very foundation of their society. The citizens wouldn't be happy, they would probably think that the Angeals had tipped the scales in their favor.

Mizuki shooed Kitra away, her dislike for the girl evident in the way she glared at Celeste's lover. "It's okay, I'm just glad you're back," Celeste smiled. "You are staying, right?" Mizuki couldn't though, she was part of something bigger than all of them, something she wasn't allowed to talk about. Once their home was restored to its former glory, Mizuki would disappear. "I know, I love you too." Celeste reached her arms around to hug Mizu as best as she could, her big sister had been her biggest inspiration for a while, when she had disappeared, just like Raphael, Celeste was devastated. "I know you don't like her, but can you two at least pretend to get along?" Celeste sighed. "I love Kitra and it's not gonna change," she blushed and looked at her lap, glad that she had managed to stay it without stuttering.

"The charm will be wearing off soon, I should probably get going and see what sort of things I have to do to fill in for Gabriel." Orana would have to go to the council meeting soon since she was part of it. "Would you mind taking me to the King's Office?" Celeste asked, knowing she would be stuck there the rest of the day with papers to fill out and orders to give.

Before the charm wore off there was one last thing. "I'm gonna investigate, Kitra, you make sure you stick to Celty like glue because you never know what might happen. When you're off your shift, I swear I'll know where the kid is, and we'll get him together, the three of us." So that was the plan then, and Kitra felt as if it'd be better not to ask exactly how Mizuki was going to find out where Ryker's nephew might be. With that they parted ways, Mizuki heading off on her own, Kitra to go and help Celeste with her paperwork. "I've been an Princess for a long time too, so I know if we worked together we can succeed." Kitra said as Orana, going back to her soft putty-like voice. "It shall be finished more quickly if we do it together."

So Kitra wheeled Celeste to the King's Office where once a long time ago Zadkiel and Callisto worked together on their mutual duties together. Kitra felt a little blush rise on her face at the implications of working on official royal paperwork with Celeste. Although in actuality it was going to have to be the other way around, Kitra as the Queen of Hell with Celty, her Bride and lover, helping. Still, this was good practice for when they were married - okay, no, that was jumping the gun way too quickly, it was way way too early to tell for now. And lo and behold, the stack of paperwork was big. Kitra winked at Celty, she had prior experience as the Queen of Hell, so she knew how to do this.

The hours went by slowly but finally they were finished, and they couldn't have finished sooner for a perfect time, since Mizuki was just casually leaning against the door, sucking on some sort of candy that was no doubt stolen from Obsidian. "Let's go." She said with a half grin, and so Celeste was helped back up to her room for them to discuss the whereabouts of the baby. "So I tortured a Council-" And that was when Kitra stiffened. "Wait, you what?" Mizu grinned cheekily. "Well, how else was I gonna find out? Don't worry, I made Iaoth kill him so I wouldn't turn dark. Can I continue yet?" Kitra sighed she wasn't sure if the loophole counted but considering how light Mizuki's wings were, it seemed it wasn't an issue.

"The kid was taken and is hidden inside a a secret passageway the Council managed to dig up and create while you guys were all at the Flowersea." Mizuki explained, drawing a map of the courtyard. "This rock is covering the fake grass where the secret area is, it leads to the sewage pipes where you have perfect access to the entire palace. Those sneaky fucks." Yes, sneaky indeed, weren't they? "The baby was put in a box with a week's worth of air in the casket where dad was supposed to have been buried." So that means, when Zadkiel had his funeral and Morgana told them to pray for the soul in the casket... it wasn't a lie at all that someone had been buried after all. "We have a few hours then, we have to get him now before he suffocates and Ryker cancels our deal."
