Kai Paendrag pushed open the door of the bar with an extravagant flourish, his oddly coloured hair blowing about in the wind that gusted through behind him in a decidedly melodramatic manner.

"Ho, fine folk of Gambit's Bar!" he exclaimed happily, flashing a charming smile in all his shirtless glory.

Kai Paendrag strode into the interior of the bar with a spring in his step, sword swinging at his side within its scabbard, and insect-like wings folded behind him. Noting Liesha's comment, the boy made his way over to her and leaned on the counter with one arm, grinning.

"But miss! My wings would be sorely crumpled were they kept in such confinement! Surely in all the intelligence necessary to come up with such magnificent feats of technology, the people of this era have the maturity not to giggle at a man without a shirt?"

Kai Paendrag frowned "Well that's hardly fair. You've only just met me, I could be a perfectly nice person for all you know!" he protested, fluttering girlishly long eyelashes seemingly subconsciously.

"I go bare chested for the practical reason I just told you. My wings are fragile."

Kai Paendrag harrumphed "At least I'm not running around in skin-tight spandex like your modern-day 'heroes' are."

Kai Paendrag blinked at Fortune "Oh, well. For a woman, I mean... that's different!" he complained, somewhat embarrassed by the suggestion.

Kai Paendrag scowled at Liesha "Please, reel in your tongue before you poke someone's eye out with it."

He then turned back to Fortune to continue being embarrassed at her, but was rather taken aback to find her in lip-lock with a man who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "And I'm certain that's improper..." he muttered instead.

Kai Paendrag turned to Liesha "My name is Kai Paendrag, and I am here because it is where the wind took me. As air-aspect, I follow whatever path the world puts before me, freedom is the greatest treasure... blah blah blah. You get the gist. Essentially, I'm here for the fun of it!"

He pointedly didn't look at Fortune, because blushing just looked silly when you were teal.

Kai Paendrag tilted his head "Actually, not really. I mean, I'm probably a prince of some sort, but to be honest there are so many princes and princesses amongst my people it's a wonder we keep track of who's actually the King and Queen's offspring.

The boy shrugged "I'm not particularly well reputed, people say I don't take our creeds too seriously. I say... well... I disagree, let's leave it at that."

Kai Paendrag "Yeah... no. I'm just the type that buggers off into the unknown in hope of finding glory and wealth, but screws everything up and ends up dead at the bottom of a lake, probably." he said, shrugging.

"But hey, always look on the bright side! At least I'm trying! And I get to meet interesting people like you. Liesha. That's not a common name where I'm from, it sounds odd when I say it. Lieeesha. Doesn't seem to fit my dialect very well."

Kai Paendrag frowned "I haven't offended you, I hope? That would be dreadful, only five minutes... record even for me."

Kai Paendrag smiled "Ah, well that's the clever part. When my wings are inactive, they're just ordinary, insect-like wings. But when I'm using them, my aspect-art kicks in, and they do this whole trippy light thing, and support my weight."

"And I'm not spindly. Not that spindly anyway."

Kai Paendrag folded his arms "I'm mostly human. My people are a variety of Fae, the Aspect People. Inventive I know, but it's the best our elders could think of on the short notice of suddenly existing. It's almost like we popped out of nowhere without any real planning having gone into us."

Kai Paendrag pushed open the door of the bar, and made his way inside. His sandals clapped on the floor faintly, while his green eyes scanned the patrons with idle curiosity. Landing on Noeah and Christopher, his eyebrows shot up. Now they were an odd couple of people, to be sure. Deciding to investigate further, the boy made his way to a seat nearby, his insect-like wings folded on his back.

"I'll have a beer, if you would, bartender!" he said cheerily.

"Like hell ye will, kid." Harriet replied, on one of her infrequent voyages from the kitchen. The plump woman folded her arms and shook her head. "Ye damn rascal, every time I turn me back ye'll be attemptin' ta fool one o' me staff into thinkin' ye be some immortal who jus' look like a wee kid. Well I know the truth of it, so what'll ye be having, actually?"

"Aw, Harriet, you're no fun. Fine, just a lemonade then." Kai replied, frowning.

Ruffling the boy's hair, Harriet turned to make the drink. "Tha's better..."

Kai Paendrag Harriet looked over to Suzumi with a smile "O'course lass, just a moment." she replied, producing two glasses from a cupboard and filling them with lemonade - the bar didn't stock the well known brands of Terra, seeing as so many people who came here had never heard of them, but they stocked their equivalents. A few moments later produced a pair of glasses, each filled with lemonade, a trio of ice cubes and a bendy straw in front of the two young patrons.

Kai nodded glumly to Harriet, still mock-sulking over being denied his sneaky alcohol. "Thanks."

Kai Paendrag Harriet scoffed at Doryn, rolling her eyes. "I'll get ye a drink, Dory, but I don't know about me favourite guy - don't think I 'ave one o' them." she replied, retrieving a bottle of vodka and a glass from behind the bar. Pouring out the glass, she placed it and the bottle before the legacy "That'll be five dollars for the glass, twenty one for the whole bottle." she said to Doryn, "And don't even think about not payin'."

The woman then bustled over to Yuber, "Comin' right up." she said briskly, carefully procuring a bottle of the house wine from a rack conveniently located just where she reached for it - the magic of Gambit's there - and a glass from an equally convenient cupboard that may or may not have been there a few moments ago. Pouring out the glass, she placed it and the bottle before Yuber as she had with Doryn. "Two dollars or equivalent for the glass, sixteen for the bottle."

Kai Paendrag wandered into the bar, after landing outside, with a yawn, sword strapped to his waist and wings folding inwards to his back now that they were not in use. The youth made his way to a chair and sat, leaning back and placing his feet upon the table with a satisfied sigh.

Kai Paendrag observed Ghell quietly from his position of relaxation. He looked somewhat lost, and forlorn. Kai raised an eyebrow, pondering approaching the other, but also considering just how comfy he was.

Kai Paendrag lifted his own hand to respond to the wave - apparently his decision had been made for him - and smiled. "Hey," he began, sliding his feet off of the table and standing, pacing his way over idly. "Not seen you around here before. You new, or am I just unobservant?"

Kai Paendrag nodded, "Me neither, to be perfectly honest. Not compared to some people. But anyway, let's get the formalities out of the way, eh? I'm Kai, nice to meet you!" he said, extending a light blue hand to shake.

Kai Paendrag smiled briefly, eyebrow lifting slightly. "Well then, Ghell with an H..." he murmured, pondering briefly on something to inspire conversation. The youth blinked, peering momentarily at the other's eyes. "Ooh, you have nice eyes."

"...I mean, not saying that in a creepy way. But like... you know what I mean, right?"
