The bar doors opened to three very new faces that day. The first was a very tall, built, dark-haired man with a small goatee. He wore a plain jacket, a tan shirt, and a pair of very baggy, dark pants.

The second was also male, this one of average height, long, sandy blonde hair that brushed his shoulders in layers. His clothing consisted of something much more strict than his dark-haired companion, wearing a blouse, slacks, with a black tie loose around his neck.

The third was a mystery for gender, their hair tied into a small ponytail in the back. They had on a green parka and cargoes. They were the youngest and the shortest of the group, or so it would seem.

Six-two, five-seven, and five-two, the three looked like a Cingular bar. Each were intensely different, not only in appearance, but demeanor, which could be seen as they, as a group, made their way to the counter.

The young man with glasses had heard it first, followed by the shorter, white-haired companion at his side. He cracked a smirk, nudging the taller man in the arm before pointing to Klien.

"You hear that, Ralphie?" he asked his friend, beaming up at him. "You only just came to this city and you're attracting all kinds of attention! Not exactly laying low, is it?"

The man called Ralphie gazed at Klien for a long moment, perking a brow. He put a hand upon his shoulder, turning him around. "She's looking at you too, Dallas." the man said, sounding, for the most part, disinterested.

The short companion offered Klien the most frightening, ice cold glare they could manage.

The smallest of them clung to Ralphie as Klein kept commenting about them, coddling him in a way comical enough for Dallas to let go a small laugh. He reached for their collar, drawing them away from their lead man. "Easy, Wen! Give the man some air, willya?" he said, seating himself at the counter.

Ralphie hid his smile behind his hand, though it looked only like he was contemplating drinks on the touch-screen menu. When Isaac yelled, and loudly, at that, he took a glance behind him, a perplexed expression crossing his face.

Dallas' attention, on the other hand, had been taken by the young, nicely dressed woman who had only just entered. He adjusted his tie and smiled at her, with Wen looking at him disgustedly.

Ralphie saw Klein approach from the corner of his eye, not daring to interact until the very last second, whens he greeted them. He turned in his seat, perplexed for a moment, before Wen scooted their chair right up next to his and played guard dog.

Despite this, Ralphie smiled. "Evenin'," he said to her. "How are you today?"

"Ah, that's good," he told her, the soft smile still on his face. He patted the stool next to him, on the opposite side from Wen. "Why don't you have a seat? Y'don't need to be standin' there the whole time." he informed her. "My name is Ralphie. The one beside me is-"

"Wen," replied the little one, crossing their arms, huffing.

Ralphie nodded. "Klein, you said?" he asked her, trying to make it as easy on her as possible. "Are you from this city?"

Wen looked suspicious, as ever, but Ralphie stayed as calm as before. "It's fine. Don't worry at all," he told her, never letting that smile go. "That's right, Ralphie and Wen. That's our names."

She went on about her name being that which was often given to boys, then about not usually going outside. Ralphie nodded. "Well, lucky us to see you outside now, hm?"

Dallas had noted the rather warm handshake from the woman, but thought barely anything of it. "And you as well, Doree. New to Gambit's? Well...yes. And to Wing City. Even Aslund, as well. We just came here about morning yesterday, I believe." he informed her. "And what about you? Have yo-"

A small beeping caught the attention of both men as Wen reached into their pocket, pulling out a small device that looked much like a Smartphone. They gazed into it, heaving a sigh before looking up at their companions.

"We're leaving." said Wen. "We need to leave." They slid off their chair and quickly disappeared out of the door. Both men looked apologetically at the women they were with. Ralphie waved goodnight at Klein. Dallas shook his head disappointingly.

"A shame. Perhaps next time, Doree. You look like a good conversation partner." he said with a wink, slipping out of the door with Ralphie and Wen.

Into Gambit's came Ralphie. He was a tall, slightly built individual who had a slouch to his shoulders, and a casual, even lazy, gait. His hands were shoved into the pockets of his baggy jeans. One came out to scratch the goatee upon his chin, just before he made his way to the counter. While he did so, he became distracted by the three in the corner. While he wasn't paying attention, he bumped into Nathan.

Backing up quickly, he reached out a hand to pat the guy on the shoulder, apologize, and walk off to the counter.

Nathan might or might not have realized, but a power spike had gone off around Ralphie, and it had been the very same one that had gone off when Wen's glass had broken in Canti's.

The spike may have tamed, but there was still quite a great amount of power swimming around the man. Off, since he seemed neither angry or excised.

However, as Klein fell down right in front of him, the energies flickered, then died. He paused, looked down at her, and then extended a hand.

"Clumsy, hm?" he asked the woman.

Just then, someone else entered the bar. White-haired, short, and young, the youth raced in, also being slightly distracted and running straight into Nathan.

"Mhm." responded Ralphie to Klein, a half-smirk on his face. As she grasped his hand, he pulled her up, then wandered over to the counter.

Wen had collided so hard into Nathan that they bound off of him onto their back, sprawled onto the floor. The androgynous little fighter scowled, holding the back of their head. "Doesn't anyone watch where they're standing? You're not the little girl you think you are, y'know! You're not tiny and avoidable!"

Ralphie looked back at Klein, then let his eyes wander over to Wen, who was dealing with things the way they often did. He gave the youth a warning glare, which Wen caught. They shrugged, looking away, face red.

"Fine! What, you want me to apologize?" growled Wen, stuffing their hands in the pockets of their coat. The wild energies that stirred around them were frantic and agitated.

They looked around for the source of the other voice, quickly growing even more angry. "Where the hell are you? It's not either!" they said defensively. A pink gun?

Who the ell had a pink gun?

Meanwhile, Ralphie sighed as he sat at the counter, plugging in a quick order. He looked to Klein with a shake of his head. "Nothing. Apologies if I look otherwise."

"Oh, you made some friends? Very good. Getting out of that apartment is doing you some good, hmm?" he commented, just as he ordered the hot chocolate for her. She did not need the caffeine, he decided. She was already so jittery.

"You speak like a gamer," he commented. "Is that what you are? For computer games and such? I suspect so." He was rather calm, despite all the commotion going on. He just took a sip of his drink and leaned back, a small groan escaping him as several pops registered from his back.

As soon as the pillow spoke again, Wen ran over to Nathan and the cushion, reaching for it. "Hey, gimmie! I've got a number to settle with this thing!"

At that, Ralphie leaned onto the counter, head in his hands, shoulder bobbling as he tried to suppress whooping bouts of laughter.

Dallas looked taken aback. "I think that's the most insulting thing that's come out of your mouth yet, Miss Klein! My, my, I could manage the random comment about something sexual or downright frightening, but this-" He turned his nose up, looking away, "-is unacceptable! I am no dork."

Both Dallas and Ralphie became concerned as Klein became red, then flopped backwards. Ralphie would catch her, then pick her up to lower her to the ground. He looked at Isaac.

"Get water," he told him. Then, to Klein, "Breathe, relax. What's wrong?"

Ralphie looked over at Isaac, and heaved a sigh at Klein. What a woman, to get lightheaded for a few social interactions.

"Calm down," he said. "Just calm down."

Into the bar was probably one of the more decent people that it had seen all day. He was a tall young man, early in his twenties, with a head of messy black hair. He wore a pair of dark, baggy pants and a leather jacket with a hood, which he slid down upon entering. He shook his head, sending water droplets spraying in every which direction. He took a brief gander at the room and its many people before walking to the counter.

Unlike many of the evil, perhaps insane individuals within the bar, Ralphie had a nearly overwhelming, warm, and calming aura about him that flowed from his being like water from Niagra Falls. It wasn't contained, but it did not interfere with anything at all, except to possibly calm any of those close enough to him.

He sat down at the counter, closing his eyes for just a moment to rest them. The day had been very long and tiring.

Ralphie looked over to the side, the air around him feeling suddenly...not uneasy, but stirred. His bright eyes settled onto Calypsa, who stared right back at him. The man froze for a moment, and after, he raised a brow high. He gave a brief laugh.

"Brother's little girl?" he asked her jokingly, glancing at Demor as he came in through the door.

There came two young men into Gambit's. One was very tall, with a medium build, and long limbs. His shoulders slouched lazily. He was clad in a very casual jacket, shirt, and baggy jeans combo. Even his hair was an uncombed mess.

His companion, who was slightly shorter, who was blonde, and wore glasses, and was quite slim, was dressed in a very formal dress shirt and black slacks, his tie loose around his neck. Far classier than the taller. In his hand, there was a paper, which the other man inquired about.

"What the hell is that for?" he asked the blonde, who grinned as he placed it on the counter.

"It's a job application. Oh, but of course you wouldn't know what one looks like. You never needed one for the career you've taken."

For some reason, Ralphie was walking backwards.

Mama Black always said that every one of her kids was terribly strange, from Farai's androgyny, to Nia's overenthusiasm, and then, of course, Ralphie. The quiet, contemplative one. What are you thinking about? People often asked. It was always followed by a shrug.

Unfortunately, however, quiet Ralphie was not really contemplating where he was going, and that anyone behind him would be just as oblivious.

Thus came the unfortunate accident. The crash with someone who carried grocery bags.

Ralphie whipped around quickly to try and catch Maemi before they fell, but to no avail.

"Oh, sorry," he apologized, kneeling down to help them with the groceries. "I'm fine- my fault. Shouldn't have been walking backwards. You?" he asked, gathering all the items in bags as carefully as he could. "Are the eggs alright?"

He looked up into the person's face, and paused a moment.
