Vampire Masquerade (IC)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Valor on Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:28 am

OOC

Vampires are always looking for a new way to disguise their hunting for human blood, and their latest plan is about to come into action. A note was passed out to all humans living in the nearest town to the vampire’s mansion:

“You have been invited to the Tamesis Ball,
Masquerade,
The first dance is at dusk.”

Unsurprisingly, many humans were planning on going to this ‘Tamesis Ball’, unaware that the people hosting the dance was a group of bloodthirsty vampires that were looking for plenty of blood to feast upon. And as it was a masked ball, it would be even more difficult for a human to find out of their plans.

Tonight is the night of the ball, and all humans and vampires are dressed to impress. Humans flock to the mansion for the first dance at dusk, vampire’s watching them through their masks. The masks also seemed to help the humans in some way, as a few hidden vampire slayers were able to attend the ball as well, giving the humans a chance of protection – though how good will this be to the many humans attending?

Will any humans survive the night? Will the vampires get the feast that they had been planning this for? Humans could be killed, vampires could be born, love and hatred could break out – who knows?!

Well, that’s for you people to decide.

~~

Regan peered out of the window from his room, seeing the many people flocking to the Tamesis home for the ball. He didn't like the many people that were going to be in his home. In amongst the humans could be those wanting to ruin the vampire's plans of a feast. He wasn't sure whether Cassandra had given this any though, though she was clever enough to realise that this was one big risk.
It would have to be one of the things he'd have to keep an eye on tonight. Along with making sure that he and the others got a descent feed.

He turned himself away from the window, peering at himself in the nearest mirror. The suit he was wearing wasn't very comfortable any more either. He remembered back in the old days when he used to wear this kind of smart clothing all the time when he was first a vampire, the smart young man that always accompanied Cassandra on her journeys.
As time went on and fashion improved in his opinion, he became more of the relaxed teenager that's found in modern society, though the humans had always detected an air of difference about him because of his knowledgeable way of speaking. He was too used to jeans and t-shirts now, rather than suit trousers and dress shirts, which he had been forced to wear because it was a formal occasion.

He rolled his eyes at the thought of what this was supposed to be. It was a trap, that's what he considered it to be anyway. It was a grand feast disguised as an enjoyable formal ball for the humans' sake.
Regan tugged at the hem of his black jacket, trying to make it feel a little more comfortable, but it didn't exactly work. He'd end up taking it off later, he was sure of it. He then moved to where his mask was, a simple silver mask so that it covered his forehead and eyes and nose. His fingers traced along the swirling black lines that were along the silver mask, frowning a little as he didn't particularly want to put it on.

Putting it off, he sighed lightly, before leaving his room, heading for the main corridor that would lead the humans to the ballroom.

Thinking of you, wherever you are.
We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Angelina stepped out of the shower, her perfect flawless skin glowing in the light of the flameing torches that hung on the wall. Reaching over she grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her curvy but tight body and walked into her chamber towards her closet. Opening the doors to the closet, she walked inside the closet was so deep and held thousands of dresses, all at her disposal. Tonight was a mascarade and she was going to feed till she couldnt feed anymore.

Picking out a blood red ball gown she slipped a black corset underneath to push her large chest up a little more and slipped the dress on overtop.Settling on black stilletos she slid them on her feet and did her hair in beautiful ringlets. Her make up matched her dress perfectly.

Grabbing her mask she tied it to her wrist since noone was around yet. Stepping out into the hallway she made her way down the stair case and looked around the party was being set up and it looked lovely.

Re: Vampire Masquerade (IC)

She stood at her window on the top floor of the grand mansion, looking out as humans flocked into her home. Each one of them held a pulse of beautiful death, but so far not a single one seemed worthy of such beauty in an eternal state. Her eyes flicked over each one of them as she felt slightly bored, this would all be dull, at least until the hunters arrived. Cassandra pressed a cold hand to the glass that felt warm to her, the hunters were out there, a trap within a trap? Perhaps. It would be easy to die tonight, easy for a vampire to slip up and move before she was ready, or for a hunter to make a kill before the prime time. It was all so... exciting? Was that really the word for it? Maybe vampires would die tonight, maybe her own vampires? The ones she herself had made and raised. That would be interesting too, Cassandra even welcomed that idea, could she really feel the pain of loss anymore? She loved her children and they loved her but she wondered what would happen if she lost one of them, she never had before. That would be new.

Tonight she looked like an ice queen, robed in a floor length white dress that was dotted with diamonds. The white of the dress almost matched the white of her skin, the only colour was in her blood red hair that fell in curls around her heart shaped face, she had pinned most of it up but it still cascaded to her shoulders. Her mask was simple, a white shape that fit snuggly onto her face with no need for fastenings and on her hands she wore white gloves that came past her elbows. She looked stunning as she always did, but now was not the right time for her to enter her ball, she would wait. Patiently.

---

Jesse was in the main corridor, leaning lightly against the wall in a deep blue suit with a black mask. In fact it wasn't really a suit, just deep blue trousers with a loose white shirt and a blue waistcoat. He'd given up on trying to move comfortably in the jacket and his shirt was scruffily untucked and the first few buttons undone. He'd never been a particularly neat boy. He watched as his food streamed passed him, like cows to the butchers hall and a flame of thirst burnt his throat, he wasn;t the best at controlling himself yet and to a vampire his discomfort would be apparent. But Cassandra had asked him to wait in the main hall, so he would wait there, even if he did suspect that she was doing it to tease him.

He was about to leave and head to his chambers when he spotted Regan moving into the hall, he went quickly, but not too quickly, to the mans side and offered a light smile, never being one to speak first he waited.

---

The iron blade, glinting with its silver coating, welcomed the hold of a hunter. The silver coated bullets danced and rolled in his palm before he loaded them into his gun. The pure water seemed to vibrate with anticipation, or was that just his hand shaking? Ani set the gun down on the side and held his hand at eye level, yeah that was just him shaking. He could not tell wether it was from nerves or excitement, or maybe it was the knowledge that he was to die tonight? The latter being the more likely for the simple reasoning that if you kill the oldest known vampire then it is to be expected that you too will die. Then again how horrible could that be? Death for Ani would be better than living, death would send him to his brother, death would make him whole again, but only if he took Cassandra with him.

Ani was in a hotel a few streets from the Tamesis mansion, dressed finely in a clean cut tux with a silver mask over his eyes. He had a holster beneath his shirt for the gun, a belt around his waist for the daggers and wiles of pure water. A cross made of silver dangled around his neck, tucked away under his shirt so that it could not be seen. He was ready for anything that night. He was ready to kill and be killed.

Vergil worked towards the main corridor, he cared little for such a 'formal ball'. this was a feast nothing more and he'd treat it no better. He wore a usual outfit nothing formal though it was pure white his mask black and covered only one side of his face. He felt like some slightly corny spin-off from a movie as he shook his head as he met Regan in the halls. "Shouldn't you be wearing your mask young one..?" He asked sarcastically, Vergil personally hated everyone here. The vampires were to emotional for his tastes, and his brother. he growled audibly, his brother was a fool who seemed to enjoy his eternal life. He groaned with a sigh as he shook his head.

"Have you seen my foolish brother..?" He asked softly as he stopped at the entrance to the main area. "I've been searching for him most of the night..and he seems to always be found with the younger of are covern.." he said softly.

Angelina smiled at Jesse, "waiting/" she let out a light laugh that sounded like beautiful wind chimes. She was gorgeous, no doubt, and tonight she planned on using it to her advantage. Her bright blue eyes shimmered with the thought and she simply walked past him gracefully as if she was gliding.

Daughter of a king and queen she was blessed with grace, it had practically been beaten into her. The feeling of homesickness clawed inside of her, but she was a guest in the castle and here she stayed. She glanced up at the clock the ball would start promptly at 7pm it was almost 5. 2 hours longer and the taste of fresh blood would be upon her lips.

Walking down the long hallway, she entered the library, the room was filled to the cealing with books. The wall wasn't a wall, it was just a giant bookcase. Reaching up she grabbed an ancient looking book and began to read a story about a vampire woman who was turned back into a human.

Regan's brow rose as there was suddenly a congregation of vampires for a few moments, looking around to Jesse, Angelina and Vergil, wondering why they had all suddenly moved towards him. He replied to Jesse's smile with a small smirk of his own, before looking towards Vergil with a scowl,
"Who are you to call me young?" Regan pointed out, rather proud of the fact that he was one of the oldest in the coven, not too far behind Cassandra herself. Either way, he still slipped on his silver and black decorative mask, fiddling with the ends of his hair afterwards.

"I have no idea where your brother is." Regan added, soon turning his attention to Jesse, "Searching for a meal already - bit early isn't it?" He said with a quiet laugh, only joking of course. It was never too early for a meal. His eyes too wandered to the gaggle of people wandering through the main corridors making their way to the ballroom, the flicker of a small smile on his face as he saw potential in quite a few of them. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea afterall.
"What about that one in the pink?" Regan pointed out for Jesse, indicating to the girl that was just walking past, long brown hair falling down her back in waves, some of the front pinned back making more layers, fringe neatly brushed forward to highlight a silver glittered mask. "She looks... what do the humans say these days... pretty fit?" He said, still pretty amused as to how he managed to keep up in the change of speak with these humans.

Vergil crossed his arms. "I am an Elder of our Race..and I'll call who ever i see fit Young.." he snided right back, though his brother was elusive he sighed again. "Thank you child.." He said with an evil smirk and walked off into the large group of Humans gliding effortlessly through the people. Though Dante wasn't far behind, he himself dressed much like his brother the mask on the opposite side of his face and his long flowing Jacket was crimson as he smiled stopping next to Regan.

"That was a close one.." he mumbled and laughed softly as he heard Regan's comment about one of the many humans here as he shook his head. "Yes she's pretty fit alright.." He said with a soft laugh and smiled at the male. then turning his attention to the rest of their small group offering them the same smile, a smile his brother never wore. "So...What do now, I mean i'm alittle tired of waiting and i'm sure the rest of you are too.

Re: Vampire Masquerade (IC)

Jesse frowned at the elder, he couldn't be much older than Regan, if anyone was a child here it was him. He was the last to be turned by Cassandra and he still struggled with the smells he was being bathed in. It didn't help that Regan was already picking out girls, he wouldn't mind drawing out some of Regan's blood. He shook the thought from his mind and turned his lustful eyes away from the vampire. He hated not having fed for so long it was making him think crazy things, or maybe just things that he'd been thinking for a long time. The party seemed to be in full swing as the humans were gathered in the main hall already dancing to the music that was playing, he wanted to dance but would definitely hold back.

He moved into the main room and glanced around as he practically glided around it as he flicked his eyes over everyone, there were mostly humans here, save for a few vampires dotted about, some he did not know.

---

Ani stood outside the Tamesis mansion, staring at it thoughtfully, he wondered how many vampires were already inside and how many human victims were with them. Not that he cared about the humans, he wasn't that kind of hunter. He moved slowly towards the house, straightening his suit jacket as he entered through the main doors, the noise coming from down the hall told him that the main hall was that way, but he did not go there. He had no intention to dance the night away, instead he slipped down a smaller hall that took him deeper into the house, nothing said that he could not go that way. He made his way up a flight of stairs and paused, listening closely for any movement. Nothing. He moved down the hall.

The girl in pink was actually Ashe Valentine, having just arrived for the evening's festivities as a reward for doing well at school. She thought it was a pretty good reward, though it seemed that her brother hadn't been too impressed by it. Luckily, he wasn't allowed to follow her around for once, and was at home for the evening, probably waiting for some reason to storm into the mansion and collect her.
She looked around the ballroom, all the masked faces that she didn't know. It was quite daunting now that she realised that she was at a ball where she knew nobody and was on her own. She wasn't sure if her friends were going to be attending or not. Either way, she was here now, and planned on having a good time. She wandered along the edge of the hall, watching the dancefloor as couples were already gliding round it so elegantly.
She wondered how long it would be till she got a dance.

~~~
"Go have fun, Dante. No reason why you can't play with your dinner tonight." Regan said as the brother of the rather uptight vampire appeared not long after Vergil's disappearance. He then looked to Jesse, glad to see him on the move towards the ball. It'd be interesting to see him handle this many humans in one room, considering he was still technically a young one.
Gently placing a hand on Dante's shoulder, he continued to speak, "If you would excuse me, I'll be going to find out when Cassandra will be showing her face." He said, gently pushing Dante towards the dancefloor, "Go on, even elders need to have some fun. Try and tell your brother that as well." He added with a chuckle before turning on his heel to head back down the smaller halls to find his motherly Cassandra.
He moved quietly, taking slower steps than he could've done. Humans got too easily lost, and it probably wouldn't be a good idea to nip about while they were everywhere. He was prooven correct as he saw a male at the top of a set of stairs that would lead to their rooms.
"Hello?!" Regan called, needing to guide the human away from the rooms. No humans were to be out of the ballroom unattended by vampires, and allowed to wander the mansion. He followed the human up the stairs, moving quickly, but not too quickly to be suspicious. "Sir, you must be lost." He said as he caught up to the blonde male that looked to be at least a couple of years older than his own teenage appearance, "The ball is not this way, it is back that way... just keep going straight from the bottom of the stairs and you'll see the crowds." He said, putting on a polite smile as he indicated which direction he should be going in.
Angelina put the mask on her face it stuck perfectly. She looked around and waited for a reasonably attractive person to flirt with. Fixing her dress her cleavage showing in wonderful amounts she took a walk around the crowd taking in the crowd. Stopping by the girl in pink she smiled. "Welcome, are you having fun?"
badum....badum....badum the sound of the girls pulse the room full of pulses was teasing Angelina she loved it.
Tossing her ringlets behind her shoulder she looked around the mask felt like skin on her face as if it wasnt even there and she smiled happily. The music was lovely and dreamy like, any girl would start day dreaming about their prince charming to it.
Jesse noticed the girl in pink a few more times, his throat was already aching and he felt slightly proud of the fact that he had not snapped yet. He surveyed the room slowly, feeling the rhythm of the music humming inside of him he tried to focus on that. He moved towards the girl in pink, ready for more of a challenge. She had her back to him when he approached so he reached out and touched her shoulder, he was aware that his hand would be shockingly cold. "Excuse me?" He voice was gentle, its tone carrying over the music, "You look a little... lost?" he bit his lower lip, not used to being the one who started up conversation.
---
Ani took in a sharp breath when he heard the cool voice talk to him. He turned slowly to face the one who had spoken to him, he raised his brows and shot a casual smile. "Hey." Vampire. "Sorry about that I was looking for the bathroom." he said smoothly without faltering. This guy looked old, his appearance wasn't but in his eyes there was age, too much of it. It was disgusting how these creatures could live so long, what was he doing up here? Shouldn't he be stalking his prey? Was Ani his prey? He wasn't going to let that one happen. He needed to get to Cassandra, maybe it was best if he went to the ball and waited for her to come to him? So many decisions.
Dante laughed. "Oh yes I will try.." He said as he was shoved onto the dance floor. he smiled at Jesse and laughed. "Your eyes wander young friend.." he said softly and watched him walk up to the girl in pink as he laughed softly softly as he wandered off in another direction to find his brother.
Vergil on the other hand was stalking several different humans, both male and female alike seeing which was better which one would put up a challenge. He sighed softly as he noticed his brother and turned to him, "What is it Dante.." he said making Dante bite his lip and quiet down as he shook his head. "Regan wants you to try and have some fun." he said as Vergil began to laugh a genuine laugh.
Ashe gazed across the crowds, watching idly as the dancers roamed across the floor so elegantly. She sometimes caught herself gently swaying to the tinkling music, telling herself to stop it incase she looked a little strange, especially seeing as she was standing on her own. Well, that was till she felt a cold hand on her shoulder, such chilling skin sent a little tremour down her spine.
Ashe looked over her shoulder, curious expression half covered by her mask as she looked up to meet the gaze of the boy in blue.
"Lost?" She questionned, glancing round as she wondered how she gave off that look, smiling sheepishly as she guessed being on her own was the big giveaway.
She laughed a little to herself, shaking her head lightly, "I'm not lost. I'm just on my own." She explained, "I guess people would look a little lost when they don't know anyone in a big room like this."
~~~

Regans' brow rose as the human made the excuse of needing to find the bathroom. What was with humans and needing to go to the bathroom when they conveniently get lost in a big mansion like this. Either way, he didn't say anything, only smiling politely still as he nodded in reply.
"I guess our signs to the toilets are not quite clear enough. Go back towards the ballroom and you should see a sign pointing to the left of the entrance to the ballroom - they're quite easy to see from there." He said, hoping that the human was capable of taking himself there, as he did not want to lead him all the way there and come back when he wanted to find Cassandra now.

Jesse smiled a little shyly, his gaze going to Angelina who looked a little annoyed, he raised his brows at her, "Hey Ange." he offered her a small shrug, he honestly didn't like starting conversations with people. He looked back to the small girl in pink, she made a good point, in fact a lot of people looked a little lost, the vampires seemed to stick out like a sore thumb as they moved around the room with complete ease. "So would you like to dance?" he offered her his hand, throwing Angelina an apologetic look.

---

Ani bowed his head to the vampire, "Thanks for that." he turned slowly, not wanting to turn her back on him, but he supposed he had to. He headed towards the main room then, trying to blend in with the crowd as he picked up a drink and downed it. Nothing wrong with a little alcohol in the system. He moved around the room, settling into place easily, he picked out the vamps one by one, not intending to kill any of them. He was searching out Cassandra.

Ashe's cheeks went a little pink as he asked her to dance, having not expected a request so soon - she had only just spoken to this guy after all. She smiled weakly, unable to say no incase she sounded rude. Plus, she did want to dance even if she wasn't the most elegant of those on the floor. She gently took the outstretched hand that was offered to him, glancing towards the other girl that he flashed an apologetic look to, wondering what that was all about before flashing Jesse a small smile,
"A dance sounds lovely," She replied, waiting to be lead to the floor to join the other couples.

~~~
Regan was more than relieved as the human took his leave, accepting the fact that he was going the wrong way and heading back without the need of an escort. He sighed with relief as he disappeared back towards the ballroom. Regan then turned back to the rooms, making his way down the hall till he found the room that he knew all too well to be Cassandra's room. He gently knocked on the door before opening up, peering through the small gap in the doorway that he had made.
"Cassandra?!" He called, loooking round the room. He used to call Cass 'mother' but after a while it seemed to annoy her, and so he had to call her by her name instead.
Victoria cast a glare at Jesse and rolled her eyes, he was always rude to her anyways. She didn't believe the look one bit. Walking off she noticed a man standing around. Walking up to him she smiled. "Dance. now" The man took her by the hand and led her to the middle of the floor and they danced gracefully, his arm around her waist pulling her in closely his pulse was by her mouth and she wanted to bite so badly but she didn't, Regan would let them know.
People stopped and watched how graceful she glided along the dance floor, girls shot jealous glances wishing they too could be as graceful. thank god i took dance, and posture... the thought echoed as she smiled up at him.
She hoped someone would break the dance soon and take her
*because i was apologized to i have resumed thank you for apologizing.*
Jesse led the girl to the dance floor then put his free hand on her waist, feeling the warm cloth of her dress slide under his palm. He gripped her waist a little tighter, being careful not to squeeze too tight. These humans were fragile. He tried not to breath as he guided her around the room dancing easily, his eyes flicked around the room, over the vampires and the humans. None of the humans were familiar, and if he couldn't see one of the vamps faces he wouldn't know who it was, he wasn't the best at scenting people yet. But he'd get there, Cassandra had reassured him of that.
---
Cassandra had heard Regan coming, she knew the sound of his foot falls and had expected him to be there soon anyway. He always like to check on her when he knew she was around, he was so... trustworthy. Maybe he was the only one she cared about dying, he had called her mother once, he had been the only one of her children to do it. And that had been wrong, for out of all of them he was the best kisser. He actually managed to stir a small emotion inside of her. Just a small one. Her name was a gentle caress when it came from his lips and she turned around in the blink of an eye, her dress flying out around her and then settling with a light rustle.
"Regan," She smiled as she said his name, holding herself with the heir of a queen. "I was expecting you to show yourself soon, tell me how are the others managing tonight?" her voice was quiet, quieter than most human ears could pick up.
Ashe couldn't help but smile as she was lead around the floor, the flowing movements of her and her partner making her feel as graceful as some of the other couples - though whether she looked as such was a different matter entirely. She couldn't stop herself from giggling as he twirled her round many times, stumbling a little as they stopped, becoming dizzy from their many turns, though Jesse didn't seem to be as effected by the spins as she had been.
"Sorry," She said as she pulled herself together, looking up to Jesse with a sheepish smile, "I don't often get spun round like that." She explained, letting Jesse continue to lead her round the floor. "I'm Ashe by the way," She added, guessing that a name for her first dance partner would be nice.
It wasn't hard to find Cassandra when she was dressed in such a noble manor pretty much right infront of him. He looked rather scruffy in comparison, though he was not the worst offender on the scruffy scale. He was awestruck at the sight of Cassandra, having to pull himself together enough to answer to Cassandra's quiet words. He fully entered the room, prepared for the tidying up that he half expected Cassandra to do with his attire.
He returned her smile with a grin of his own,
"I think they're handling it well so far, alot are already mingling with the humans. I want to keep an eye out on the younger ones though, some aren't used to this many humans in one place." He said, pushing his silver mask from his face so that it pushed his black hair from his face and sat ontop of it, not needing to hide his face from Cassandra, "Are you going to make an appearance any time soon? The others would find comfort in seeing your face, it might give them the confidence to go through with the feast."
