Masaru respects Tomoe in the way a student appreciates a good teacher: with admiration and subtle dislike. There is nothing wrong with the man for Masaru knows his career as an idol has already passed, but he can’t help but feel a certain competitiveness with the man either. Such thoughts are best left alone however for he knows that nothing good nor beneficial can come out of outright dislike for the man.

Yoshida Haruma

The self-adulation Haruma possess is a thing of beauty - of which, Masaru admires to the extent that he finds it fun to watch a man get lost in illusions of grandeur. As well he is not about to rain on on his parade for he knows Haruma speaks highly of himself because it is the only thing he can do well. It would be cruel to take that away.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

The feeling Masaru has toward Hotaru is akin to a someone being pestered by a fly: annoying, distracting, and yet so hard to get rid of. The latter mostly being because they are roommates, but in their soltidary he is intolerable. It’s not the persuasion that’s the cause of Masaru’s ire but rather the fact that he does it so earnestly. Perhaps Hotaru does it for his own sick satisfaction, but to Masaru all his attempts are seen as genuine and it irritates him.

Akamine Eishi

Masaru and Eishi have a silent understanding of each other that precedes their own positions as idols. There is no competition in Masaru's mind for he knows that Eishi is a bystander that wishes he could quit the idol industry entirely, and as such finds easy camaraderie in the man. Often they will find met at social events and find a type of solace within each other that they do not find with the other Rose members.

Kobayashi Hayate

There is something unnerving about Hayate that Masaru can’t quite put his finger on. His kind disposition hides something and Masaru is not sure whether or not he wants to uncover it. His dilemma does not come from fear of the man’s wrath, but rather the curiosity that would surely follow if he were to find out.

Kitano Seiya

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Masaru doesn’t have much to say about Thorn Fury’s mentor other than the fact that he finds displeasure in Seiya’s hubris toward his group. Granted, they are allowed to feel a sense of pride because they were all recruited by Hanakotoba, but that is where it should end.

Hibana Azusa

Azusa is too bright eyed and innocent for Masaru to ever like him as a person or an idol. His happiness is so transcendent of the normal and as such Masaru finds it too cloyingly sweet. His name leaves a bitter taste in his mouth that not even lies can pacify. However, his annoyance with the boy is simply that — annoyance. Masaru does not see the boy as competition and as such will not touch him or try to ruin his career.

Ozawa Hayato

If Masaru could hate Hayato anymore it would rival Haruma’s hatred for Azusa. His dislike for the boy is not solely because he has talent, although that is a large factor, but because he seems to be enjoying himself to an extent Masaru thinks to be overbearing. However, he finds a certain delight in starting rumors about Hayato for the boy’s childishness provides good gossip material without even knowing it.

Koizumi Kazuki

Undoubtedly, Kazuki is Masaru’s favorite member of Thorn Fury. They do not communicate regularly, but Masaru watches him with an interest that’s not quite disgust but neither is it genial. Masaru notices that he wears a perpetual scowl that seems to hide something sinister, and unlike Hayate’s mask Masaru does not fear impending curiosity, for Masaru is already curious.

Oshiro Arashi

Out of the public’s eye Masaru can only laugh at Arashi for he is boy posing a man in an industry that has already spit him out once. Arashi is a joke, and if Masaru is to be honest he would realize that he had more respect for the boy when he quit than he does now.

ONE : Moral Encouragement
It's similar to gaining courage, where if he is ever in a spot where he's shaking in his boots he'll be able to stay cool and calm in order to ensure his safety. However, safety is not survival and as such he still has quite a say in what his actions are. He will not feel as though everything and everyone is about to get him. He thinks about his own well being first, and if he can include others safety too — well all the more power to him. The drawback to this is that the level of fear corresponds to how much he has to suppress and thus takes more energy to do so. Physically he will not be as capable as he could be and thus prone to more injury.

TWO : Collectively
With time, and practice he could suppress fear within others as well. By this he can influence people to feel a certain way that would help them emotionally to do whatever they need to do in order to survive. In that sense it's much like ONE. However he needs verbal permission to enforce this action. He can influence about two people before he's too exhausted, that being he becomes more sluggish, his head constantly hurts, etc.

THREE : The Big Guns
This would be when he has gained more control over his power, and the feeling of helplessness starts to really take place. He does not fight for safety, he fights for survival. His influence over his emotions is amplified and he would have the ability to turn completely sociopathic. (I believe that would be the right word, if not feel free to correct me.) With that said however, if he feels as though someone could help him or a group activity needs to be completed with his absolute obedience he will be the perfect example of team work. This does not increase his intelligence though, so he won’t be able to magically find the perfect way out, but he will do what he thinks is the most reasonable and without remorse. The drawback to this is that even though he would be able to recognize beforehand the chance of him dying, it does not include injury he may sustain. As long as the result does not end with him dead or any variation of it - he’ll do it and as such he is prone to being injured very badly. As well it may take longer for him to return to his normal state depending on how long he's had to use his ability. Exhaustion follows suit.

FOUR : Friendship is Magic
Here he would have to do a shit ton of character development to even THINK about going here. That is, this is the stage where ‘without guilt’ comes with a double meaning. Before this he was only trying to survive for himself. He was impenitent because he believed that guilt for others would only hold him back. Though here it's different, here he would do anything for his friends -- gaining courage and suppressing fear to save them. He would, without thinking twice, place himself in danger because if he didn't he would have too much shame, and so in order to be guilt free, he would sacrifice himself. He'd be that one guy you see in movies who says, "go on without me," and really mean it. That one dude who jumps in front of a person to take a bullet for them, and dies dramatically. The downside of this is that he'd be TOO willing to place his life on the line and so would #jump to conclusions. Obviously though if he doesn't form meaningful connections or becomes more selfless then he would never reach this state.

Write your information about your character here. It doesn't have to be long— I know a lot of people, me included, sort of discover their character as they go, so if you feel like you only have a vague idea of your character, just write what you do know. Don't, however, make it too vague. Then we won't have anything to go off of when we judge your character lmao. The most important part of this application is letting us know how your character fits into the world and their powers and abilities. We don't care all that much about personality and history, for that all we need is a framework. What we're really looking at is your character's abilities and the work they do in the guild and how they feel about the guild and how they get their jobs done, etc. This information is going to let us know how well your character will fit into the plot or whether they're OP or not. If something isn't quite right by any chance, then this gives us the opportunity to let you know what needs to be corrected and why! We want to give everyone a fair chance here.

As a note, we have already constructed a plot with multiple arcs, which is why we're being so picky about the sorts of characters involved. We want as diverse a cast as possible, so no two characters are filling the same role. It'd be pretty boring if we had a team made up of four mages lol. We're hoping to create a story where every character has their own unique place.

Hello! This is the character sheet section for Lacrimosa. I will not be releasing the sheet in the forum, rather I will be PMing people the code as to help avoid theft. However, here are the instructions on how to properly fill it out!

If you have any questions or need help please contact me!

I. replace all instances with the hex #000000 with your own character color. use this website to help you
II. please use the exact photo dimensions provided and if you want to have a white boarder just know that the first boarder is 15px
III. do NOT mess with the margins at all
IV. i haven't edited the information within the cs to help give you guys an example but do fill it out with your own character information
V. the second section's left hand side and right hand side should be the same length in writing, but if it's not that's fine
VI. we do not have a history section, however that is not to say your character doesn't have one. we would like you to try and interweave both the personality and their history together into one section. for the purpose of the rp please focus on writing the history that your character currently has, but you may allude to other iterations of their history as well. (from past cycles).
VII. for the left section, do not make your writing extend far enough that it moves the barrier between the left and right section
VIII. use a quote that your composer has said at the bottom of the last section please
