Therianthropes, those with the ability to change from human to animal or to a creature that’s something in between, exist. While the majority of humanity remains oblivious to their existence, there are those who seek to hunt the therians as the ultimate game and there are those within the government who seek to use them as weapons in their pointless wars.
But there is a war coming. While a majority of the tribes don't see the humans as a threat, the government has set up the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense (DPRD) to not only study the therians, but to capture them as well. The goal, of course, is to use their genetic make-up as a blue-print to create the ultimate super soldier. Then there are the hunters who seek to eradicate them completely and create a "pure" Earth. In either situation it's not easy to be a therian in this world.
