Jesse was on his feet beside Dante now, both brothers with wide eyes. Dante was standing, as always, a little in front of Jesse but even he took a step back from the young woman who stood in front of him. Jesse clutched Lady a little tighter but said nothing, allowing Dante to speak for him. "Pardon our rudeness My Lady but it is hard to tell gender when you happen to be quite a large wolf who is attacking our friend." as always he remained polite, acting the gentlemen. It was then that another scream pierced the night as the girl woke up from where she had previously fallen. Dante gave the wolf girl a hard look that said. 'play along' as he hurried forward, at quite a human pace. Jesse hung back, still holding Lady who was looking at the wolf girl with complete confusion.

"My dear." Dante said quietly, taking the girls hand to steady her as he pet her shoulder. "You seem to have had quite a shock tonight, I never knew that a baby tiger could frighten someone so fiercely."

Sorcha cautiously approached the man holding the tiger cub, and she flashed him a pretty smile. The werewolf had not really intended on hurting the tiger, but she would not allow some zoo escapee to maul a human to death either. The young woman drew close to the young man and patted him on the shoulder, then ruffled the fur of the tiger's head.

"Cute little kitty," she stated, "but tigers are just a wee bit on the illegal side, don't ya know?"

Adele was wide eyed, she was rather taken aback as a man squatted next to her to take her hand and caress her shoulder. She began to breathe heavy, scrambling to her feet. Adele glanced back towards her home, it was so close, but she turned back to the three people. "W-w-w-what happened to the w...olf?" Adele questioned, eyeing the patch of white fur on the ground. She stumbled back and then forward again and lifted her head again to the three, "Who are you people?" She hissed.

Who has dreams while passed out? And why had she dreamed of Pill... and a monster? Adele simply explained it all by placing the blame on this monstrous event. She couldn't help but flinch at every movement of the little tiger, she knew quite well what those sort of animals could do to a person, even a little one. Adele would wait their response and then quickly, without a word, head inside her house. But then another fear flashed when she entered her garden, they'd know where she lives. It didn't matter now, she's never wished to get home more than tonight.

Adele opened the door quietly, knowing full well that her mother was passed out either in her bed or the couch. She went B-line for the bathroom, to wash away everything she experienced today, every little moment. Soon, she'd find herself in bed, hugging her second pillow. Adele's pajamas had tiger stripes decorating it, and she refused to sleep in it, her neurotic side showing, instead she slept in her bra and undies. She managed to fall asleep quickly and to her surprise have a long dreamless sleep.

Kisaru awake to the sound of his alarm clock. it playing of one of his favorite songs as he hit the top of it to shut it off, rolling of out of bed and hitting the ground hard as he did so. "Today is going to be i can just tell" said as he began to push off the ground, his blanket sliding off him, as he shoot his head to wake himself up more a bit. He glanced at the time of the clock, blinking a few times as he noticed what time it was, "Dang i need to wake up earlyer" he thought to himself as he finally got on his feet, and began to walk to his closet to find some cloths.

He looked through his cloths and grew a big anime sweet behind him as he looked more, "what will i wear today" he thought to himself as he grabbed some blue shorts with flowers that where silver, and slipped them on, now looking for a shirt to put on, finding a blue muscle shirt and slipping it on that had a large dragon on the back of it. "I Gauss this will do" he thought to himself as he grabbed one of his pair of skates and his ipod and rushed out the door, putting the headphones in his ears, and sliding his ipod into his pocket as he got to the finally steps and walked outside, throwing on his skates and pushing off his door to gain some speed, turning on his ipod and turning its sound to extremely load as he put both his hands together behind him and skated on the sidewalk to the sound of the beat.

Barney's B&B

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Pretty Pet on Fri Aug 07, 2009 12:49 am

Pill slept hard that night, though he had dreams of damsels in distress. At least he could manage to sleep on just a few hours normally, probably something to do with his higher metabolism. Whatever it was, when his alarm went off at four thirty that morning, he was bright eyed and bushy tailed, as the saying went. A hot shower, a glass of orange juice and with a bagel to go, Pill began the quiet trek around the lake to Barney’s. He’d get there a little after five, or five thirty if he really took it slow.

Some mornings were made to take it slow. It was still so quiet at that time of day, it was little wonder why he loved the late night and early morning so very much. If there was too much noise, it could be difficult to think or enjoy anything else. Besides, usually too much chaos and commotion proved to be rather distracting for Pill, at least when it grew closer to the full moon. So many emotions rage on high then, he could be depressed, on top of the world, or ready to rip it apart at its seams. It was filled with more ups and downs than a roller coaster at Six Flags.

By the time he reached Barney’s, he felt very awake and refreshed and ready for a day of boat and bait. Another perk of his job was he was able to dress pretty much however he wanted to. Today it was a pair of jeans, faded more than not, and a silver chain hung out of his left pocket, hooking back into a belt loop on his hip. The tee shirt was black, with a little skeleton pirate at a computer and listening to ‘pirated’ music. On his right wrist he wore a black leather cuff and today he also wore the collar and leash. The leash was silver and short, almost like a choke chain he converted into a makeshift leash. Sure, people gave him looks for it, but he enjoyed that. Pill entertained himself by watching people’s reactions, on some days he pushed buttons to see the myriad of responses he could get. Today may be one of those days, it was rather early, hard to tell yet. He just liked hearing the chain clinking as he moved, and the feel of its weight upon his chest.

He fished out the keys to the place and headed in. It wouldn’t be open for another half hour, gave him time to prepare the bait o’ the day and get the store setup for when Barney moseyed in. He’d only been here a few months, but Barney must have seen something trustworthy in Pill because he could open and close up the shop. The man trusted him with the keys and sometimes left Pill to run it by himself. Then again, maybe Barney was just tired and Pill was the only one to show interest in the help wanted sign. Whatever. It suited him just fine, and he didn’t think he would leave anytime soon.

Just like clockwork, thirty minutes after arriving, Pill unlocked the doors, turned on the outside lights and flipped the sign to ‘OPEN’. Today was usually a slower day, he wouldn’t be surprised to not see Barney come in at all. He settled back in the chair behind the counter and opened up the newspaper he had picked up from outside the door. Sometimes it was good to stay abreast of the news. Just. In. Case.

Jesse smiled when the wolf girl came forward to look at Lady, "They are, which is why I am taking her to the local zoo, soon." his words were quiet, soft, as always. He shifted Lady's weight and she wriggled from his hold, he kept a hold on her lead not wanting to forget himself this time. Lady sniffled the wolf girls shoes and a growl rose to her lips but Jesse pulled her back, his eyes went to Dante and the human girl.

"There was no wolf my dear." Dante was assuring her, "You must have dreamt it all, except Lady of course, she really did chase you and this girl here saved you from her. Lucky she is so good with animals."

"You do not need to call me 'this girl'," the werewolf chastised. "You can call me Sorcha. I've just arrived in town, so perhaps one of you two twins would be so kind as to show me around?"

The young woman did not really know them, nor did she trust them, but there was something ... interesting about them that she liked. The very fact that the two of them had a tiger cub in their possession led to the idea that they were dangerous men. Just the type Sorcha liked. The young werewolf smiled prettily at Jesse.

Dante stood slowly, coming back to stand by Jesse's side as Jesse had stayed silent at the girls request. "I am afraid, Miss Sorcha, that we too are new here. We moved into the house up there," he gestured towards the house on the hill, "Just last night." Jesse was at his shoulder now, leaning his cheek against it. He was hungry and feeling a little tired, Jesse put one hand around his brothers waist, with eyes that were only for him.

"I tire of this brother." He said, so quiet that human ears would not detect it.

"You have no interest in the wolfling?" Dante asked, just as quietly, leaning his cheek against Jesse's mop of white hair. In the distance Dante could see the suns light beginning to streak the sky. He sighed, he was already hungry and that light would not help matters even if it did hide behind clouds.

"She is half animal, I'm sure that her blood would taste awful." Jesse replied in the same quiet tone, one hand pawed at Dante's back in his impatience. There was that but he also just wanted Dante alone. He ran his nails over Dante's spine, scratching through the thin material of his shirt to show Dante his intentions, her left a few cuts in the material. Dante closed his eyes for a moment then centred them back on the girl. He took a deep breath. "Shouldn't you be asleep at such an early hour?" he asked, Jesse rolled his eyes, still scratching his nails over Dante's back to hurry him on but Dante was always the gentleman and would excuse himself properly.

"I'm a night owl, you know?" replied Sorcha, putting one hand on her hip. "Though I suppose night WOLF is more appropriate, all things considered. I can guess you're eager to leave, but before you go, I want to know something."

The young woman drew closer to the pair, and looked at both Dante and Jesse intently for several long moments.

"Just what the heck are ya'll?" Sorcha questioned inquisitively. "Ya'll smell different than normal folks. Care to explain?"

Dante's grin didn't falter, despite that fact that there was the pain of a scratch on his back, each scratch quickly healing. It was turning him on and all he wanted to do was pull Jesse into his arms and run up to their house. He took a deep breath, loving how twisted he sounded even to his own mind. Over the years there had been many people who stood up to the way the brothers were around each other, many people thought it was sick. To them it was just love. Damned Love.

Jesse leant against Dante a little heavier, he didn't like the wolf's questions, Dante would handle it of course. "We're from England." was his reply. "We English smell a little different."

Jesse pressed his face into the back of Dante's shoulder to stifle his own smile, gosh he loved Dante sometimes, especially his sense of humour.

Adele woke around eleven to a silent house, her mother must have still be sleeping. She took a long yawn, crawling from her bed. Hair long dirty blond hair drowned her shoulder, it reached down to her hips which was a shockingly old fashion way to wear your hair so long. She spent her time in the kitchen, making herself breakfast, but before that she had went searching for her mom, finding her in her bed still in her robe. Adele was at the kitchen window when she looked out to the street, remembering every little detail that happened last night. She couldn't explain any of it. So many times had she walked out to sit by the lake with nothing similar to this happening. And yet there were negatives and positives of last night. It took Adele to finish her whole breakfast before she convinced herself to go to Barney's and spend her afternoon out on the lake, with... perhaps Pill.

She walked into the living room, stopping herself before she stepped onto the shards of glass from last night. It almost drew tears while she was cleaning the mess up. She managed to glance at her feet, the little scabs as if her feet were attacked by a small wild animal... viciously. It didn't matter, it would heal and the scars would be small. For the rest of the time at home, she spent her time showering and picking what to wear, in the end, wearing a yellow sundress cinched just beneath her breasts and billowing down to reach her knees. Scabbed feet were in yellow flip-flops and her hair was down, powerfully long. Adele stepped in front of the full-body mirror, smiling at her reflection, she did look kind of pretty... kind of.

Adele walked to Barney's, the sky was clear and she certainly was in a good mood... up until she reached the place and spent almost fifteen minutes standing outside, was she nervous? It took all her strength to go inside and when she did and saw Pill, she immediately turned around and grabbed for the door handle.

My Treat, No Trick

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Pretty Pet on Thu Aug 13, 2009 12:30 am

Pill had a slow morning. There was a small rush just as the sun was beginning to peak over the horizon, but by seven it had considerably slowed. He spent the next few hours making sure the live bait was still live. They had small fish bait that had to be fed. Worms had to be sorted through, any dead ones tossed out for the birds to pick. It was the same with the other live bait they had. Some of the worms he spritzed down with a misting water sprayer. Little things like that, made them stand out from the other few bait shops around the lake.

When it came closer to lunch time, and Barney still hadn’t shown, he knew the man wasn’t likely coming in. That meant he could probably close up shop about two or three. He’d see how the crowd went. Pill let the music play, some rock station that claimed to be heavy, but really weren’t. He had to be in the mood for the heavy stuff anyway. Usually he liked a wide variety, so radio stations were pretty good to pass the time with.

Settling in the chair behind the desk, he fished out a delivery menu, debating what to order. Didn’t feel much like Chinese, and pizza was overdone. The gyro place had promise though. He was bent over the menu, hair in his face, when Pill heard the little bell go off over the door. Brown eyes lifted and he caught sight of someone familiar, only it took a half moment to realize it was indeed her. “Adele?” It was her. Fancy that. “Aww, you’re not going to leave me to have lunch by myself, are you?” He tossed his best grin her way and held up the gyro menu, pointing to it. “My treat?”

Adele cringed and swiftly turned around, features beet red. She smiled brightly, "Hi!" She spoke, talking a few steps forward while focusing on everything around her and then him. "Well, I just ate, but I'll keep you company if you'd like. Just thought I'd drop by and... say hello..." She explained herself, then added, "So, Hello." Cheeks growing even more red. She approached the desk he was behind reluctantly, tucking a stay lock behind her ear. "This is a really cozy place." She murmurs, leaning on the table slightly.

"Listen, I wanted to ask you something." Adele's smile faltered for a moment. She didn't know if she'd sound crazy or not, well, it didn't matter, she was already dubbed the cooky one by everyone else. Although the question that lingered within her head was slightly awkward, she felt herself relax rather than grow more embarrassed. It would really depend on his answer and how he'd react.

Sorcha did not believe the two men's story ... not for a moment. She had smelled foreigners before, and while there was always a slight difference simply due to diet and environment, Sorcha knew the difference between a human's smell and something that was not human. Though she would be the first to admit that she was no genius, Sorcha was no fool either, and especially hated those who tried to lie to her. Slowly, her gaze not averted from the two before her, Sorcha shook her head 'no'.

"Ya'll could be from Britain for all I know, but that's not the smell I mean," the werewolf responded carefully. "Ya'll smell like graveyard soil ..."

Re: Wicked Modern World [IC]

The sun was fully up and Dante and Jesse were already making their way back to the manor, the wolf girl following them. Asking question. The sun did not kill them, it did not make them sparkle, it simply drained their energy at a ridiculous rate. If the wolf girl wasn't careful she'd end up as breakfast.

Dante stopped Jesse, turning sharply he fixed his eyes on the girl. "You aren't exactly human either my dear." his usual gentlemanly charm was fading, "So if I were you I'd be careful of who you are following about." he took a deep, useless, breath "As for the graveyard soil we are obviously british grave diggers. We have our own company. Like it and leave." he turned back, Jesse having to take his arm to pull him towards the mansion.

This whole night had bee extremely bizarre, way too much effort involved and now they were paying the price. Jesse's throat was aching as he tried not to breath and take in the human scents that surrounded him. His stomach was twisting. His mind screaming at him to turn around and kill the young wolf girl. All he had to focus on was getting Dante home.

And even though Dante felt the same, he focused on getting Jesse home. It was how they got through their hunger, always, they used each other as a focusing point. It didn't help when someone else was put in the mix, even if she did only smell half human.

I'll Tell You No Lies

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Pretty Pet on Sun Aug 16, 2009 9:58 am

Pill grinned a bit wider as she came up to the desk he sat behind. He set the order menu down, he could order it after a little bit, but for the moment he gave her his full attention. There was a moment when he wondered if she had been about to just leave without saying anything when he called out her name. The town didn't seem to hold her in a favorable light, but he knew from experience, people tended to shun others who were different somehow. He liked different. He could certainly like Adele.

Brown eyes crinkled as he brushed the hair out of his face as she said she wanted to ask him something. "Sure. Just be sure you want the answer. Lying is a waste of time and energy, and something I try not to do. So if you ask, you'll either get a polite decline to answer, or the truth." He laughed then, a deep sound that rumbled for a bit within the confines of his chest. "And there's very few things that I would decline to answer."

Pill propped his feet up on a tackle box underneath the desk, and put hands behind his head. The chair creaked slightly as he leaned back in it, the smile lingered on his face. "So, Miss Adele, ask away." He wanted to know what had her curiosity knickers in a bunch. Could be good, could be something else. Pill enjoyed finding out most of the time.

'Different' Screams in the Night

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby fangbanger on Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:44 am

Adele shifted, feeling rather awkward with all of his attention on her, although technically everyone should place their full attention when one is talking to them, with Adele rarely anyone did. She knew she was different, and she had a few chanced to have friends who, like Pill, didn't care about rumors, but Adele's very 'different' behavior was the very thing that ruined any chance she had. So, she was careful with this one, and it was quite appearant she wasn't being herself.

His laugh had brought a smile to her lips, a rumble she enjoyed, even last night, the sound that did help her relax. She began, "Well, it doesn't matter if you lie or not, I just had a very strange night and I was wondering if you heard anything..." She watched his expression, trying to piece last night together if none of it was real then he couldn't have heard her scream and the yelling.

She stayed quiet until he would speak, fidgeting with her dress. Her attention was drawn from Pill when a door opened with the bell ringing and Adele jumped nearly two feet, clearly startled. She seemed like a jumpy girl, but it wasn't obvious as to why she was 'different'.

Sorcha was growing more suspicious with each passing moment. The young werewolf followed the twins as they tried to walk away from her. She was determined to get some straight answers from the two of them. They were something she had not encountered before, of this Sorcha was certain, and it never occurred to her that her curiosity might get her into a lot of trouble ... again.

"Yeah, I'm not a normal human, so what?" replied Sorcha flippantly. "If ya'll were normal humans, ya'd go running away faster than a jackrabbit on a date. I mean, ya'll saw me go from wolf to woman, yet ya'll act like it's nothing weird. So either you're on my team, or ya'll are Hunters. I don't think the two of ya are Hunters, 'cause you'd try to shoot me, wouldn't ya? So, which team to ya'll bat for?"

They were approaching the gates of their mansion when Dante stopped, his useless breaths a little heavy. He gave a dry laugh "Our team? Neither yours nor theirs." Which was true, vampires could never be on the same team as those who were human, or even half human. Jesse took his hand and pulled him to the mansion.

Before they got too far from her Jesse paused "If you must satisfy your curiosity then follow us, but you won't like what you see." He added a warning, pretty sure that the wolf wouldn't like it . The boy unlocked the door to their mansion, Lady streaking inside and heading off through the halls. The twins made their way to the kitchen where a massive silver fridge stood with the usual kitchen appliances.

Dante went to the cupboard and pulled out two glasses, setting them on the table as Jesse opened the fridge. There was no food in their fridge, just rows and rows of bags filled with something that looked far to thick to be red wine. The bags looked like the sort you'd get in hospitals. Jesse pulled one out and bit into one corner feeling the sweet liquid on his lips, he licked it away as he poured the blood into the glasses. Dante picked up his and drained it, his eyes on the girl the whole time. Jesse did the same. They re filled the glasses.

After the third glass Dante set his cup down, licking his lips, a smudge of blood remained at the corner of his mouth. "I feel ever so rude." He said as he stood, "we'd offer you a drink but I'm afraid that we wouldn't have anything to your taste."

Jesse came up behind his brother, reaching out he put a hand on his cheek and pulled him to face him. "You missed a bit brother." Jesse said quietly as he kissed the corner of Dante's mouth giving a flick of his tongue to take the blood away. Dante felt himself tighten. If only the girl wasn't there.

Sorcha, never one to make herself uncomfortable by a bit of strangeness, immediately followed the suit of the two men and pulled a bag of blood from the refrigerator and tore a corner off of it with her teeth. She then squeezed the liquid into her mouth, slurping noisily. It was not the first time she had tasted human blood, far from it, but she WAS used to it coming with a little more ... substance. She was feeling hungry, and not wanting to be seen as rude for attacking them in a hunger-fueled craze, promptly voiced her complaint.

"Heya," the werewolf said to them, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, "I don't suppose ya'll got some o' this with the meat still attached, eh?"
