Xmen: Age of Apocalypse IC

Cable sat on a wooden chair with his legs rested on top of a small metal table. He sat reading through tactical plans about effective ways of disabling a Sentinel. It was all garbage to him. Apocalypse's scientists were constantly thinking of new ways of making new and more efficient killing machines there had even been reports of Sentinels that looked like humans around in Nevada. Suddenly a knock came at the door he was in. A resistence fighter suddenly came into the room in a few seconds and handed Cable a report.

"This is important sir." He said.

That was interesting Cable thought. He could see the man was anxious to know what as in the paper but unfortunatly it was top secret. There was no resistence fighters in the Xmen. However the movements kept contact with the Xmen to trade information which could be used to stop their opressors. Cable opened the report and it simply read a few lines.

"...Was discovered inflitrating a base in New York City. The mutant lost his life bringing the half destroyed information. The information is vital for the security of the mutant and human race. The iformation simply states that Apocalypse is working on a secret project we believe can be used to travel in time."

Cable sat silent for a few moments in which, he then left to pass the information to his superior.

And so their horrible hunted lives by Sentiens,Apolcypse, and some rogue mutants continued. Calvin aka Mimic was the leader of the X men and had promised Xavier to lead the X men to victory against their enemies no matter how hard it would be. Being the leader was not as easy as most of the X men thought you had to do lots of things painful and tiring. He had engaged in many long battels and faced many powerful foes.

The fighting never ended no matter what and the X men always faced a variety of foes. Logan was shaprening his laws and Calvin had taken the group to one of there temporary hide-outs for the night a place to eat,talk, and rest. Recently one of their members had died on a mission Logan had sent them on but now wasn't the time they were in constant contact with the Government always waiting to see what would happen next.

Logan finsihed shaprning his claws and retracted them. Calvin sighed"Thank-you!" Logan looked at him unsheathing his claws"Got a problem with me shaprening my claws bub? Calvin turned around"No, not really Xavier would get upset though hard to focus his telepathic abilties with all that noise ever think we could bring him back? Logan shrugged" Maybe with this new time-travel plot Apolcypse has to kill us all we could use it to kill him and save all our friends that are dead including Xavier"

Calvin nodded"You surely sound positive how are the others doing?:"He asked seeing Logan begin to drink a beer. "Good, now come on we need to train the X men more how about tommorow before we go to the lab where the project is being developed? Calvin nodded"That's a good idea"

Her life was constantly in danger and being a mutant only made it worse, but ever since she escpaed that horrible camp she knew that something out there would be right. Although she really had no care for order or destruction she merely wanted to belong or simply matter which was hard to do since she wasn't really on good terms with the x-men and Apocalpyse wouldn't really consider her a powerful ally atleast thats what she thought. And as for humanity...she hated them and often expressed this by either terrorizing them or worse.

Driving her motorcycle down a almost destroyed highway she was heading for new york hoping to find some answers or maybe even other mutants to shared her views. She thought about many things while driving mainly thinking how ironic it was that the weapon the humans created to protect them are now being used to destroy them. This was funny to her and often made her feel better when she was depressed in the prison camp.

"Well there it is hopefully I'll find some clues here", she said as the New york Skyline slightly appeared in the distance...

Streaks of smoke generated over New York city as the Sentinels did their usual rounds. Random beeping and the occasional crash would occur. Cars would crash. Mutants would be taken away if they were caught using their powers, which was very often. It seemed to be everyday that the Mutant Training Camps were growing fuller and fuller. But all of this seemed to be white noise to Dennis.

He sat alone... just him and his coffee.

Here in one of New York's many coffee shops, Dennis sat concentrated on his cup, being thankfull he could hide his mutation well. It was times like this he started to feel bad for mutants with physical mutations that were obvious to the eye, and that they couldn't shut off. It was time's like this Dennis was glad all he could do was turn to steel. He smiled, and his home came to mind. He wondered if there were mutants in Russia, and then nearly kicked himself when he realized what a stupid thought that was.

Of course there's Mutants in Russia!

He laughed again, his eyes sparkled in what little sunlight got through the streaks of smoke. He looked up, something shiny catching his eye. There was a loud noise, and a sudden rumble. A sentinel was standing there... his eyes scanning the coffee shop.

Angel walked in the room were Cable was. " So whats new " she said with her angelic looking face. Her blonde hair going from side to side. She was really kept ot of harm by him. Ever since she was found by him when she was little he started becoming over protected over her. Though her powers were really helpful, making clones that made shields and her thought becoming real. She didn't like to go outside. Becoming a threat and being a target and fighting wasn't like her. She disliked fighting but when it came to it she was good.

" When are we going to act Cable, I want to show them what I'm made out of" she said as a bald eagle came in the room landing on her arm where there was armor. "So are there any sentinels or any other suspicious things going around" she said looking at the eagle. It just nodded its head to the side and soon he was nothing. Like sand going in the air becoming nothing. It was one of her creations. She sat on the table facing Cable.

It was an uncomfortable moment as the Sentinel scanned the coffee shop. Dennis did his best to look normal, until he realized sitting perfectly still and staring blankly at his cup was far from normal. He reached for the coffee cup, and the Sentinel boomed into action. Screams echoed through the coffee shop as the Sentinel’s large metal hand ripped through the coffee shop windows, glass shattering in every direction. The Sentinel creaked when it moved; sounding like it needed a good de-rusting. Its large red eyes struck fear into the hearts of everyone in the coffee shop.

But it wasn’t the Sentinel’s frightening exterior that scared Dennis… it was the fact that it was going after another person in the coffee shop.

The Sentinel’s monstrous hands swooped up a teenage boy with blonde hair and green eyes. He looked like he could’ve been a football player. Dennis laughed to himself as the boy screamed as he was taken away. And the boy started growing vines from his body, overgrowth suffocating the Sentinel’s hand. But this didn’t stop the Sentinel from taking him away.

“Oh, shit…” Dennis cursed, getting up from his seat. The Sentinel was already down the street. Ignoring the cashier yelling “Aren’t you going to pay your bill?!” Dennis sprinted after the Sentinel, his body glistening in its full metal form.

((Wherever you see fit, Chaos. It's still early in the RP))

It was days like this Dennis didn’t miss Russia.

High speed chases with Sentinels, possibly saving a young man’s life, and a Sentinel might even be chasing him right now. Adrenaline told him not to worry, and so did his brain. With every step he took, the Sentinel seemed to get further and further down the street, and he was starting to feel the sting of heat rays on his back.

But he didn’t care, nothing could touch him.

“KID!” he yelled, trying to keep the boy conscious from miles away. He knew that after being shaken like that, the kid was fighting consciousness more than the actual Sentinel. “WAKE UP!” he screamed again. The eyes of innocent bystanders seemed to be drawn to him. He sighed and leaped at the Sentinel, latching himself on its back.

He bashed his fist into the Sentinel’s crimson back, and ripped out random wires. With various beeping sounds, the Sentinel went down with a crash. Dennis jumped off the down Sentinel and freed the teenager from the Sentinel’s clutches. “Kid, wake up,” he muttered as he shook the boy free from his captor’s hands.

He sighed as he saw another two Sentinels approaching him angrily. “Oh, shit…” Dennis grumbled. He leaped to the side walk, and set down the young man. He leaped back to his original position, and clenched his fist. He could feel the adrenaline rushing through his veins.

And something made him feel the urge to rip apart a Sentinel or fifty.

Angel was in her room when suddenly some of the alarms went off on the small laptop she had. It had sensors all over the city. Whenever something was happening it would alert her. And now several of them were going off.

"Shit, now what, now lets see" she said as she typed something on the key board. Red dots started appearing on the map. She was set and knew where to go now. She couldn't tell Cable she was leaving or else he would get mad. She went out the back door and she was out already. She had some good powers and that could protect her.

She stood still looking around to make sure the are was clear, and it was. Soon she closed her eyes and concentrated for a minute, and soon her creation was on. She was using her power to create something. She was creating at a gryffin. It was a good size and and pretty good to carry her to her location. She mounted on it and it took off.

"Nice to see you again Lora" she greeted it. The great beast just nodded its head. She then saw the sentinels running together to a spot. And soon she saw a guy and a boy who was unconscious. Quickly she darted to them .

"What happened here"she said as she made two clones appear.

Suddenly, the wind began to pick up around the two sentinels that faced Dennis and in a blink of an eye one of the sentinels was decapitated. Kai landed just a few feet away from Dennis, looking at Dennis and smirking. Kalil twirled his whip as he began to spin, the whip lashed out striking the remaining sentinels, bystanders would only see a white tornado striking the sentinel but to other mutants they could clearly see Kalil within the tornado striking the sentinel in it's chest cavity.

The two sentinels exploded after Kalil jumped away from them, landing beside Dennis and Angel, "well long time no see huh?" laughed Kalil as the whip in his hand transformed back into a rose. Kai looked over at Dennis, Kalil and Angel and began to move towards them, his scythe in hand.

Angel saw when the two sentinels were destroyed by Kai. The wirlwhind he caused making some people run into panick. " Hello Kalil, long time no see, you to Kai" all three of her clones said at the same time. She had encountered both of them a couple of times on her andventures across the world. Sometimes she thought of how cute Kalil was.

There were enough of them so her shield was no longer needed so both of the clones seemed to be sucked in to her body. She just looked at them with her barbie like body and hair.

Kalil smiled, "it has been a while Angel," he grabbed her hand and kissed it, "too long," he finished smiling as he came eye level with her. Kai simply nodded and rolled his eyes when Kalil kissed Angel's hand.

"We should get moving, there are bound to be more Sentinel approaching as well as Apocolypse's men," Kai uttered in a soft low tone voice but with enough power to get their attention. His scythe vanished into thin air and he folded his arms hearing the rumble of sentinel foot steps far off.

Dennis nodded firmly. "I agree... but where would we go?" he asked, realizing afterwards that Kalil and Angel seemed to already have a plan. They seemed to know each other reall well. His steel body turned back to normal and he pointed to the boy unconscious on the side walk. ((This kid is an NPC, so anyone can control him.)) "Can we take him with you? The Sentinel's seemed to be interested in him... I want to know why..."

And then it hit him, were they even planning him, a random, metal Russian guy, with them? "And... can I come?"

"yea, I have a safehouse nearby, we can all get there in a matter of seconds if you all join hands, grab the child as well," Kalil stated as he turned to see the head of a Sentinel not far off, "hurry," he ushered.

Kai grabbed Kalil's hand, and they waited for the others, "this is a spell I learned from the great Sorcerer Supreme himself before....well you know anyways make sure you are all connected and we can get started."

Kalil was worried, the Sentinels where getting closer and Apocalypse's men where sure to arrive soon, in fact he could sense them coming. The safe house was well guarded with magic, and couldn't be sensed by Apocalpyse and the Sentinels which is why it has stood for so long.

Dennis turned to steel and lifted the boy over his shoulder. With one hand on the boy's back, steadying him on the arch of his shoulder, Dennis took Kalil's hand. "You knew Doctor Strange?" Dennis asked in disbelief. He'd never met a super hero before, and he'd heard they'd kept their distances from civilians... super powered or otherwise.

"I guess that is unimportant..." Dennis sighed. "I once almost knew Collosus... nah, nevermind. That's a lie." Dennis turned his head behind him and noticed a few Sentinel's coming their way. "I hope that safehouse isn't too far..."

Angel looked at Kalil. As much as she wanted to accept his offer she couldn't."I'm sorry but I can't go, I feel more safe in what used to be the X mansion. Its mostly rubble on the outside but underground is way more differen, besides I have my equipment there" She said as Lora layed down next to her. It meant that she was going to get on her again. She made a small bird appear. "Here take this canary, if you decide to change your mind just tell it to guide you to where I'm staying, you to " she said as she handed onether one to the man of steel. S

She got on top of Lora and descended into the sky. "If I were you I would hurry they are getting close and it looks like they've been upgraded" she said as she started soaring in the sky heading toward her home, or atleast what was left of it.
