Day before the party
Star swam through the cool water of her pool. It was friday and they had just getten back from school, they of course meaning Star, Nicole, Chase, and Kevin. Every friday they went to Star's for some afternoon swimming and then everyone usually stayed the night. After swimming to the shallow end of the pool, she had to come up for air. She looked around at her friends suprised that none of them were swimming with her yet, because they usually jumped right in. She took a gulp of air and swam down to the bottom of the pool so her stomach was touching it. It was her favorite way to swim as far as she could be below the surface, stopping occasionally so her hair would go in front of her and then swimming again watching it fall back behind her. She managed to swim all the way to the other side and then to the middle before having to come up for another brath of air. Her orange and white hair that usually covered her left eye was all pushed out of her face, that was the only thing she didn't like about swimming. Star swam on the surface of the water to the shallow end again and then stepped out walking over to her friends. They were all sitting in the plastic chairs you see at public pools under an umbrella. She walked over to Chase and gave him a big wet hug hopeing to take in some of his body heat. She could stand being in the cold water but when she stepped out and the air got to her, she was instantly freezing. She refused to let go of Chase until she was at least a little warmer, which hadn't happened yet. "Come on guys you need to swim, its not as fun alone." she complained finally sitting on the ground beside Chase's chair.
