Clutching the piece in his hand, Blight squeezed it with as much force as he could muster, causing the pawn to glow before it vanished. Feeling a slight sting on the back of his left hand the one-eyed hunter looked to see, before his very eye, a stylized tattoo of a pawn piece was being drawn in grey ink. After the image was done being drawn, Blight felt power return to him, and then some, he honestly felt like he could go back ten minutes, not that he wanted to try it.

Looking over to Alexis, he moved to pick her up and put her on one of the empty pews. He wasn't going to wake her, she wouldn't understand why he had to go. He knew that ignoring a warning from Father Time was a bad thing. His damaged eye is proof of that. Right now the stakes where higher, even the act of moving her could have be risky when every second mattered. Moving quickly out the cathedral, he failed to notice that Alexis woke up, her worried eyes on his back.

Making it to the gates, Blight saw it wasn't to late yet. Humans and demons where still fighting, some demons where being cut down by invisible forces, he would chalk it up to being angels. Looking around the war torn field, his eye landed on to the counselor, who was running toward where a ray of light was shining down. Wasting no time, Blight drew his knife. Only for the blade to start to glow a bright green, catching the attention of everyone on the battlefield.

To the humans, the light from the town's gate looked like a valiant green beacon of hope that has come to help them. To the demons, it was the sickly green sign that death was coming. Finally to the angels, it was the green light of a time keeper, those who do not to interfere with the timeline and instead record it. When the light dyed down, Blight could be seen, holding a sword above his head.

The handle didn't change much, it only grew a few centimeters, the guard grew spikes at a 30 degree angle, with an additional set that was smaller grew right between the blade and guard at a 45 degree angle. The blade became double edged, and was about as long as his arm. It still held a glow to it as it illuminated Blight's face. The sword was reforged by the pawn piece in his left hand, and it hungered for the blood.
You have opened the gate to hell, and unleashed Misery upon the world.

Upon raising his dagger a pillar of green light fell from the sky right on Blights position. Within, a figure of a grey pawn could be seen slightly rotating. The emitted light caused a chain reaction on the field. For the duration of the pillar shining the whole battlefield was covered by what seemed to be an illusion of a grid, consisting of alternating black and white fields. Blight found himself standing on a black square. Right next to Blight a pillar of white light, shining on the empty white field appeared.

Lethaniel was moving to the pillar of white light - the position of the archangel. Seeing a bright green light however, his hand began to resonate in a slight white glow. As he removed his glove, he could see a white knight tattoo forming on the back of his hand. Upon completion, a pillar of white light formed above Lethaniel, showing a rotating figure of the white knight. The pillars above Blight and Lethaniel where definitely smaller than that of the archangel, which wasn't showing any figure however. Deep within the undead hordes a black shadowpillar of the same size as that of the archangel was forming, not showing a figure either.

Upon turning his gaze to the village, Lethaniel was buffled by the sheer size of a gray pillar, covering the entire village. A gray queen symbol could be seen within the light. Surrounded by the gray light a small white rook symbol was hovering over the cathedral. The whole scenario could be seen only for seconds, leaving quite an impression on Lethaniel. The green light seemed to force the others to reveal themselves. It seemed as though it was revealing the strings of fate itself.

The moment the green light expired, the batllefield returned to its former form, leaving all participants slightly confused. Not long after the battle continued, as if nothing happened. Lethaniel decided to retreat even further, which would give him at least some time to think about what just transpired.

Blight leaped into the fray, his sword cutting foes left and right. He killed demons, and some of the invisible forces that where in his way, he was on auto pilot with his dance of death, his mind was thinking on the multitude of light that just formed. Apparently a grey queen was in the town, he would have to find out who, if they're even still around after this is said and done. The man didn't even know if what he was doing was the best option, but he had no time to ponder. He made his move, it was now up to time if it was the right one.

Focusing back on the battle, he started to slow time down, his pawn tattoo glowed as he did so. Usually time is a crawl for him, people and objects still move, but at a much slower rate. An arrow going 53 m/s would only go about 7 and a half m/s. Now, everything just stopped. There was no movement, not a single person looked to be breathing, deciding to just go with it he dashed towards what enemy he could, slashing them multiple times before moving on to the next. He save the lives of some of the townsfolk by killing the demons that tried to hit them when their backs where turned.

He made it to where the counselor was, and let time go back to normal. All the demons, and the invisible forces that where a little to close, that where in his path had blood burst from the wounds he had inflicted upon. The counselor seemed shocked at Blight's sudden appearance, mostly because of the fact that he didn't see Blight approach, "Thought you could have used a hand, so I decided to cut in." the wit of Blight was sharp indeed, "Though, I don't know if this is the best choice or not..." he muttered the last part to himself, hoping there wasn't going to be too horrible consequences to his actions. He wasn't naive enough to think that there wasn't ever such thing as 'no consequences' he knew better.

As Blight dashed forwards, the pillar of white light next to him just stood there not moving at all. The boy seemd to enjoy slashing down whatever was before him, demons and angels, it didn't matter to him - a fearsome sight indeed. Leaving a trail of blood, he stood right before the councelor, who was still concerned with the tattoo on the back of his hand. Seeing Blight, he put his glove back on.

"Thought you could have used a hand, so I decided to cut in. Though, I don't know if this is the best choice or not..."

"Our choices are ours - and ours only! - If you wish to help boy, you could try your luck with the three over there" - Lethaniel gestured towards the three demons in red capes, guarding Belials banner. " Seems i get older - let granpa have a rest, would you?" - Lethaniel whispered as he continued to run towards the archangel. The council was quite experienced participating in larger scale battles. There is time to attack and there is time to retreat. He admired Blights determination to fight the legion on the front lines however - maybe because it remnded him of his younger self. He decided to let the boy go after his dreams, instead of warning him.

Arriving at his destination Lethaniel took a look at the village, only to see the cathedrals walls crumbling under heavy fire of the catapultes. His eyes widened, as he saw the white rook figure above the cathedral breaking apart. "Figures, figures - Lethaniel, what do those mean? White, black, grey... White hit black, black answers - those were the rules... but grey?" - he jumped into cover behind a wooden construct.

Rushing forward again, the world went back to stillness. He had to find his sweet spot again, with the output he was making it was more disorientating than before, but that was for another time, right now he had to reach the three demons. Slashing with his sword at the time frozen opponents, he couldn't see the damage he was causing, but he would later. Finally reaching the demons, he could see they where wearing armor under their capes. Smart, but fruitless against a blight.

It was child's play for Blight, he pulled out his crossbows and shot two of the caped demons in their eyes, even if the bolts don't go all the way to the brain, the silver tips would act like poison and corrode the skull until they die. For the last one, he drew his sword and stabbed the final one through the head. His blade was stopped by the back of the helmet.

He let time go back to normal, and all the enemies that where in the way burst into blood as they fell. The bolts found their mark and dropped the two demons like flies, they were still alive, if their howling in pain was anything to go off of, but you could hear the hissing sound of the silver burning right through them. The middle one was more silent as he fell, the only noise out of him was the clanging of his armor as it fell.

Looking passed the three, he saw a black light go into the sky, the leader no doubt. The grey light bursted out of the bounty hunter, his piece was constantly changing, at one moment it was a pawn, before it turned into almost all the pieces, excluding king, before it was pawn again and it continued this cycle. He was in enemy territory, here was a chance for the grey pawn to be promoted.

After all, the order of turns are as such, white moves first, than black will respond. Grey is the bystander who likes to mess with both sides.

"Grey is an observer, who should not interfere" - Lethaniel murmured, thinking about the broken rook figure.

Restoring the time flow, Blight could feel the earth Image trembling again - the war drums of the undead legion were restless. Riding on giant and mighty beasts, the drummer were heavily equipped. Banners were attached to the backs of their armours. How could Blight forget, that he was fighting undead? - Enemies who can not die by defintion. The three guards in red capes stood again, showing off the marks recieved by Blight. Two of them broke the arrows off, as if they were nuisances. The third one just put on a mask over the hole in his face. However, instead of attacking Blight - they retreated to the black pillar behind them. There was no need for them to attack, while clearly in disadvantage.

Blights figure became a pawn again and stopped rotating. The shadowpillar was seconds away. Blight could feel it giving off a pulse between the drum sounds. The battle, causaly, continued around him as usual. Bones flying in all directions, weapons laying on the ground - the hordes surely felt the resistance. Hovever, there was no end to the undead.

Leaving his hide out, Lethaniel rushed towards one of the five drummers: "The drums of the legion, boy -take them out!" - he tossed a bottle with holy water to Blight, while passing.

The anomaly caught the bottle and decided to push three fourths of his power into slowing time, it was still slower than he would have liked, but it was better than frozen. Dashing forward in his distinctive green blur, Blight made it to where the drummer was, using his extended time, he let a bit of the holy water run down his blade before he slashed the drummer's throat.

With the drummer dead, Blight grabbed the drum and smashed it over the beast's head, causing it to roar in pain. Before it had some holy water forced into it's mouth. The death was slow and very painful. The one-eyed man barely dodged a swipe from a sword, he still had to focus on slowing time, his lapse in concentration caused time to flow normally. Slowing time again, 3/5th of his power seemed to be the sweet spot, he kicked the undead knight away from him.

He quickly reloaded his crossbows and dipped the bolts in the holy water, he would need to invest in holy water later down the line. It was useful. Taking aim, he shot two more drummers off their beasts, he still used the holy water that remained on his sword to cut down some of the demons that were trying to blindside some of the villagers.

Blight had to stop time in order to bash his head against an abandoned shield, he forgot that demons were naturally weak to holy water, and yet he never carried it with him. He just realized that. Let it be known that Blight had a hard head, as seen by the poor shield that broke under the force of his head, all the anomaly felt was a slight headache.

The giant beast was simply too slow to react, especially now that the time was slowed down. Even the drummer didn't see the last sound, coming from his drum as Blight approached at enormous speed. It was a clean cut - the traces of holy water ignited the skeleton, burning it to ashes. Blights way of fighting left Lethaniel quite impressed - especially the way he slayed the beast, followed by breaking a wooden shield with his head as some kind of motivational ritual.

"Ha! - I like the boy! Might teach him how to use weapons a bit better..." - Lethaniel rotated, before throwing the sword, he picked up on the run and covered with holy water in the direction of the drummer. The blade pierced the skeletons throat. He repeated the procedure launching a dagger right beetween the beasts eyes. Afterwards he retrieved the weapons from the ashes, moving to the next target. On the battlefield it was necessary to use the resources wisely, as any mistake could lead to death.

After slaying the last Beast, Lethaniels and Blights tattoos lighted up, in notion of the black shadowpillar starting to move in their direction. Of course the red caped knights accompanied it, carrying the banner. There was nowhere to run, since they were squashed right between the lines of the undead legion. Lethaniel didn't expect such a reaction from Belial. It seemed Lord of lies personally was going for them - a mistake on Lethaniels part, considering they were trapped at an unfavorable position. They had no choice but to fight.

"From now on, if you make any mistake boy - it will cost you your life..." - Lethaniel gave Blight a warning, commanding his guardian angels to assemble at his position. It didn't take long for them to side with their commander. With a giant black pillar moving in their direction, Lethaniel had to think about the figures again. It seems this one didn't have one. Judging by the enormous pulse going off from the pillar, it had to be something near a queen.

"With a pulse like this you don't even need the war drums... jeez" - Lethaniel sighed, as the pillar stopped right infront of them.

"Greetings knight, pawn. At last, the gears of eternal war are moving again. Prepare to die... " - a deep demonic voice could be heard roaring across the battlefield, as the shadows dissolved leaving a giant demonic warlord before them.

Image

"You should be honored to die by the hand of the fourth Lord of hell personally!" - Belial adjsted his sword, getting ready for battle. Lethaniel ordered his guardians to take out the red caped demons in the mean time, still having an odd feeling, that something was not right here...

Blight narrowed his eye at the imposing figure before him, this was the fourth lord of hell? Well, he defiantly looked the part. Blurring a head, Blight added some more holy water to his blade, and he slashed the lord so fast, the demon lord was barely seen in the swirl of green. Blight's attack lasted for only a minute, before he had to move back to the counselor so he didn't get hit by the demon's counter attack.

Blight watched in slight interest as the wounds where healing right before his eye, "High speed regeneration huh?" the young man snorted "Well that's fun." Blight's voice was dripping in sarcasm as he said this. He only had one bounty that had such thing, the only way to kill someone with such a gift was to over tax it. Rapid and continuous strikes where critical. As well as annoying to accomplish when one fuck up could make you have to restart the progress over again.

"Hahaha 's that holy water? - Well it does tickle a bit. By the way, grey - why are you helping white? Do you think your trust will be returned? How naive... If only you knew his story" - Belial scrached the nonexistant slashes from Blights blade. Shortly after recieving a bit of damage, a clone of Belial appeared right next to the demon. It seems now they had to deal with two of them. Which was the real and which one was the clone - or were they both real or both clones? Lethaniel just stood there examinating the situation.

A moment later also a clone of Lethaniel and a clone of Blight appeared, getting ready to fight - but to fight whom exactly? Between the real ones and the clones one couldn't find any differences. They looked as real as the originals. Did they have the same abilities? Blight did only know, that he is the real one - meaning the other Blight was a copy.

Seeing that, one of the Lethaniel spoke up: "The demons, boy - they are both our enemies!" The other Lethaniel however, warned Blight: "Don't listen to him! Attacking the demons now would create a perfect opportunity for him to attack you from behind". Both facts could be true...

Blight heard both options, and damn could he uses a drink. Looking over to the clone he pulled out his flask, "Drink?" he clone took out it's own flask, "Cheers." at this both Blights sat down and chugged the alcohol, it was a clone of him of course it would need a drink as well. That and truly, Blight had a bitch of a time fighting that one regenerator acquisition, he didn't want to fight more.

Seeing the two Blight's drink caused the two counselors to face palm at how they could do such a thing at a time like this. The two Belial sweat dropped at the scene, weren't they supposes to be fighting? Blight cracked his only working eye to see his clone still drinking, pulling his crossbow out he shot the doppelganger in the head. Walking over he poured holy water in to the wound. Better to be safe than sorry.

"To answer you question.." he said turning to the two lords of lies, "I'm not helping 'white' out. I'm helping the humans who are caught in the cross fire." he could care less who side he was unintentionally helping, he did what he did because he had the ability to do so. that and Father found ways to punish him for not doing helping if he could, soooo, he really was doing this for those who don't have the power to protect themselves, "But what do you mean 'his story'? you say that like I should care."

"Hahaha - exactly! And what do you think white is doing? And ... more importantly - why?" - Belials laugh roared through the battlefield, but was interrupted by the sight of Lethaniel actually succeeding in controlling his clone. Lethaniel was just standing there, his eyes closed. He obviously had to concentrate.

"To think, that you have figured out my ability by now - knight!" - the demon clenched its teeth, full of fury. With a swing of the enormous sword he smashed Lethaniels clone - running at him head on at full speed - aside. As one of the demons headed towards Lethaniel, the other continued to talk to Blight:

"Why have you killed your clone, grey? Didn't it manage to find a place in your heart? - Not even within the acceptance range? And yet it was human - the being you want to protect that much! Now see and reap the consequences of your actions" - Belial pointed right at him, as Blight felt something raising up behind him. Turning around, he saw Alexis, pointing his own crossbow at him. This couldn't be... Alexis had to be in the cathedral! Blight turned his head in the direction of the village, only to see the crumbled down building burning. There is no way, Alexis died in a place like this - his very soul tried to tell him - but was it true? Looking back at the girl, he noticed heavy burning marks appearing all over her skin, as she fired the crossbow...

Rolling out of the way, Blight let the bolt fly passed him. He didn't want to hurt her, even if she was either a clone or an illusion. She was human. He killed his clone because he is an anomaly, so his clone was such as well. Anomalies are not humans, they're little pockets of time, space, or even reality. They are about as human as deities. But Alexis was human, he couldn't hurt humans. That's why when a person gained a bounty on their head, they no longer are humans. They're merchandise.

Blight dodged blot after bolt as he slowly made his way to her, he had to disarm her before someone does something they're going to regret. Namely Blight, he wasn't bound by the laws of time, he could go back and do a rewind and fix the problem, depending on the situation and how long ago it was that is. He finally made it over to Alexis, her skin was almost a char, as he grabbed and forcibly removed the crossbow from her hand, before pulling her into a strong hug.

Her bolts were never meant to connect, as the fate itself was pulling the strings. She tried to resist at first, but gave in seeing no way to escape. Alexis dropped the crossbow, letting her arms dangling down helplessly. Tears started to flowing down her cheeks, as her words pierced the veil of war and battle raging in the background:

"This war has taken everything from me - my parents, my friends, my dreams, my emotions - and finally my life and soul! What do you know about the pain? Why coulnd't you just stay with me - why did you need to go to fight this rotten war, fuelling it? It's all..." - her sentence abruptly ended, as she felt a sudden pain. It was Lethaniels dagger piercing her heart from behind, holy water and Alexis's blood dripping from it. Lethaniel just looked in Blights eyes, giving him a stern look:

"Don't give in, boy - its not yours" - Lethaniel couldn't manage to tell Blight more, since the second demon already started an attack on him - frocing him to evade.

Alexis's eyes widened: "...took my life a second time already. Screw this life!" - she hugged Blight. "Everything - it's all your fault!" - she whispered in his ear, before shattering into shadows.

The shadows started to concentrate on the spot she fell. After the veil disappeared, a very familiar 'character' could be seen sitting there cleaning his paw. Mephistopheles gave Blight a confused look: "What? Did you miss me this much?".

Blight stumbled back, he didn't know if the thing was real or was another copy, but his mind was a whirling hurricane of emotions from the copy of Alexis that he just didn't care anymore. Nor could he contain them. He stopped time as he rushed his way over to the cathedral, hoping that Alexis was actually alright.

Bursting through the large doors of the church, the anomaly started to move rubble out of the way, searching frantically for her. It didn't take long to find her, she was on the floor, blood leaked from her head, and there where small burns, "Alexis!" Blight quickly moved her into his arms, as he checked for a pulse....nothing.

Panic set in as the bounty hunter tried everything, checking for breath, listening for a heart beat, CPR, anything. But nothing seemed to work, she was gone. Time variations where escaping Blight like he was a plague, trying their hardest to get away as fast as they could, before slipping back into him. All the emotions, all the things he had repressed, the anger, the sadness, the burning rage, it all burst through the damn he had made, and he couldn't stop it. He screamed.

Vicious green light shot out of Blight and into the sky, a powerful shock wave spread, destroying what was left of the church, and damaging some of the other buildings in the town. On the battlefield the undead and townsfolk got knocked of their feet, with ancient wounds on the undead opening, townsfolk had old injuries from years ago open as well, though they weren't life threatening.

Blight yelled and yelled that he could have been heard for miles around, his light acted like a beacon, being seen almost everywhere. Every injury he ever had was appearing , covering his body with cut, slashes, puncture wounds, and even more on the inside. But he didn't care, he just kept screaming until his voice started to fail him.

Lethaniels guardian angels defeated the red caped demons, took alot damage in return however. Still, heavily injured, they returned to his side to fight for him.

Blight just kneeled on the ground, obviosly stunned. A film seemed to be playing in his head - about him running to the cathedral, finding Alexis and emitting a strange pulse. Nothing of this was real - he was captured within his own mind. He did lock up himself within the labyrint of his memories to be more precisely. Like an executioner the large figure of the demon appeared before him, its giant sword ready to decapitate the boy. It was the moment to act - Lethaniel didn't have time to think his actions over. He commanded one of his guardians to hold off the demon before Blight, while the other demon being occupied by the other two guardians. A reckless action in the heat of the fight - it was a clear suicide mission, considering the shape of the angel. The guardian just made a little bow, acknowledging Lethaniels wish and saying goodbye. Without questioning, the guardian angel rushed to block the executioners attack. Lethaniel furiously jumped in Blights direction. After hitting his face from the side, Lethaniel send Blight flying a few meters. The hit threw the boy out of his dream. The sacrifice of his guardian had won precious time to talk:

"Wake up, you fool! Falling directly into Belials trap... Now you know, how it is to experience a perfect lie - Belials ability. Upon hard times it is indeed convenient to believe a beautiful lie over the harsh reality. It doesn't change the fact, that what you wish for still is just a dream though! His ability lets your memories become real, however slightly manipulated. This is the reason, why you're seeing characters you know appearing out of nowhere. Letting you destroy your own corrupted memories, what a cruel ability. However they are only copies of your true memories - you just need to remember and to have faith in your own ones. Only faith can change the copies, as you saw it with my own clone..." - Lethaniel gave him a hand, finishing speaking.

Lethaniels guardian was fighting on her last bits of power. Hearing them finishing speaking, she dropped the sword. She just stood there powerless, looking to the sky and waiting for the executioner to fulfill his duty. It didn't take long for the the giant blade to drop upon her like a guillotine. She died having no regrets.

The world around Blight dissolved, there was no one in his hands, he was back on the battlefield. And boy, was he pissed. Now a small little thing about time anomalies, their power is attached to their emotions. when calm the abilities are tame, easy to control. But when enraged, they become wild, feral even, as they mow down all that stand in their way.

The time variations where leaving Blight again, the rad hands forcing them back, as he let all his energy burst around him. Instead of a green blur, a bloody red one followed in the anomaly's wake. Before the blur disappeared. Blight reappeared right behind the large demon, blade in mid-swing, a red beam was emitting from the guard of his blade, doubling his blade length, as he cut the demon in half, it disappeared, showing it was a fake.

Blight disappeared again, and so did the fallen sword that was just there. Had Blight been thinking properly, he would have questioned it, but when he appeared again, it was obvious that there was no thinking going on in his mind. The young man's eyes where glowing, his left eye was a burning red, while his right was the sickly green that Blight had emitted when he joined the battle.

He was like a wasp attacking a fully grown person. His disappear/reappear trick was random, fast, but there was no way to know where he was. The counselor saw Blight though, with his ability to cancel out other abilities. Blight was just dashing around relentlessly, using the two swords to great effect. His for the opening wound, deepen it with the second, which was holy in nature so it was like pouring salt into the wound. Blight was like an animal, ferocious, fast, deadly.

With no way of knowing where the gnat will appear next, Belial tried to swing his sword to either make the human back off or, in best case, kill him. But Blight wasn't making it easy, he would adapt patterns, he would strike at the demons back, when that as figured out, he would attack the legs, he was able to cut one off. It was an hour of the never ending onslaught until the fourth lord of hell keeled over. But Blight was far from over, he turned his sight to the rest of the battlefield. The roar that left his mouth was bestial, as he lunged into the fry, humans where spared, with what little control that the anomaly had left. Angels and demons? Not so lucky.

"Silly boy, did he really think he would beat you so easily, Belial?" - Lethaniels gaze followed the disappearing anomaly, but turned to the rising demon afterwards. His leg grew back, as if it never was cut off.

"Well, he has some impact - not gonna lie! But too young, too impulsive - will burn fast, probably. Now, shall we continue our dance white knight?" - The giant stood tall, not showing any trace of pain from his heavy injuries. The one hour assault took nearly all of his regeneration energy.

"One hour, Belial! - Did you really think, i would wait for a dance this long? - This is war, i'll remind you..." - powerless, Lethaniel fell on his back, laughing unstopable : "Perish, demon! Time for you to return home!" A giant circle of ancient symbols appeared around the demon, lighting up one after another. Upon all symbols were lit, chains of pure light shot from the circle, bringing the demon to its knees again.

"Hahaha... trying to excorsice me, knight? A miscalculation on your part?" - Belial laughed, but stopped after seeing Lethaniel still not giving him any attention. He moved his eyes to the archangels direction, sensing enourmous amount of energy. A giant burst of light shot towards the chained demon, exterminating everything in its way. It illuminated the whole field, leaving no room for the shadows and lies to hide. The demon was shredded to pieces, with no chance of regeneration.

"How Ironic, for a demon to die surrounded by light. In the end the truth pierces every lie, no matter how strong or beatiful it is, Belial." - Lethaniel decided to rest a little more, laying on the ground. The blast missed him only by an arms lenght.

Blight was still fighting, grazing the battlefield like a razor. The undead stopped to move after Belials death, making it quite easy for him and the survivors. This was no turning point - the war was over. Yet the frozen legions of undead should become the stage for another fateful event. A little girls crazy laughter could be heard throughout the frozen undead labyrinth, as the skies grew even darker. A familiar person descended the heavens, her large black wings moving elegantly in the wind. Blights and Lethaniels figure tattoos reacted immediately. A black queen symbol was hovering over the little girl, who herself emitted a tremendous energy - by far stronger than Belials, but different. It wasn't blazing. Instead her aura seemed to bring the fear and sadness from the very heart to the surface.

"Hihihihi, why awe you all clinging to youw lives that much? - Didn't you evaw considaw, how insignificant they awe in the gweataw scheme of things... just like Belials... As evawy live is bown, it will fade to the nothingness, nevaw being anything othaw weally. Winning battles, fighting waws, stwuggling like insects, just to be squashed inevetably anyway. But gwey is diffewent! -Intewesting, he doesn't have a live, it seems. Tell me, why awe you doing this bowing fighting then gwey?" - she spoke, covering her moth with her hand. On the back of her hand a black queen figure emitted darkness.

Blight growled at the girl. She was powerful, very powerful, Blight was forced to back down from any thoughts of battle, by her presence alone. His mind was still in a primal state, he was more animalistic than human at the moment, when it would wear off was anyone's guess. He barely understood what she said, the only things his primal mind could understand were"...insignificant...greater scheme...gway is diffewent...doesn't have a...why...fighting..." The grey queen piece appeared over the town again, causing his piece to glow.

The primal anomalies head turned toward the town, his piece was pulsing slightly, and as the symbol move ever closer, the pulsations became faster. Tension grow slightly as the pulsing speed up, lowering himself Blight slowly backing away as the grey queen emblem hovered over the war torn field. The pawn symbol was rapidly blinking at this point. A few moments later the queen came into view.

Blights tattoo stopped to blink, as he saw Mephistopheles silently moving towards them, elegantly evading the frozen undead filth. He was carrying an ancient looking scroll in his mouth. Arriving on the spot, he dropped the scroll on the ground before him. "Dear lord, aren't you ashamed to make me moving through this rotten field? Might be dangerous even! What would you do if i died - jeez..." - closing one eye, he showed Blight and the girl his tongue, on which a grey queen tattoo could be seen.

"Stoopid cat, helping white - what do you plan this time, fifth lord of hell? - Well it doesn't mattaw anyway - You might have won one battle, but it takes mowe than a myau to win the holy waw!" - she turned to Lethaniel and Blight: "Do you weally think you defeated the demon? You should ask youwself whos lies feed him - it is only a mattaw of time fow him to be webown again. My name is Enigma, gentlemen, i shall be youw kind opponent in this waw!" - the girl made a little bow, being interrupted by the cat:

"Former fifth lord, please! Did you miss me that much, black? Already regretting me leaving your side - how beautiful, i'm so touched right nyaw! How about getting on your knees and pleading for myau to return? " - Mephistopheles made a bored look, awaiting for the girl to entertain him.

"W...Whh...Whhaaa? Wewe do you take this amount of awwogance, kitten? The day might be long, but the night is longaw - watch youw step in the dawkness!" - the girl puffed her cheeks, disappearing.

"Kitten?" - Mephistopheles was speechless for a moment, but regained his composure after few seconds: "Back to business! Did you miss me too Blight, or did you miss this scroll more? A beautiful tattoo you have there - nice choice of colour, i should add! I'm saddened to be forced to finish the deal within this rotten ambiance. Very... peculiar choice on your side... With this however, our business is concluded " - he poked the scroll with his paw to roll in Blights direction. Upon recieving the scroll, Blight took a look on the contents. The scroll was completely empty.

"As i already mentioned, all contents will be decided by you and your guardian angel... Well it still needs my magic to take effect - and i dont have much time - so, how about start writing right now. Oh! You almost forgot your better part over there" - Mephistopheles moved his eyes to the pillar of white light, with a white pawn rotating over it. It still was where Blight left it before the fight. How tactless of him to forget his contract partner...
