While we're asking questions... How exactly are the compounds the Princes and Fleures will be staying in set up? Are they Hogwarts-esque with the Fleures together and the boys together, or something more scandalous?

Ah, Gracie, I wasn't critiquing you with the novel comment. Your post was a fine length. All I was saying is that, in general, I expect people to have appropriate length posts, not that I demand a certain amount, though I will also be dissatisfied with not enough.

And if the Princes want, they can develop the kingdoms. It's not essential, but it could be a nice touch to be able to throw such things in.

As for the compound, it's essentially a mansion on the palace grounds. Each prince has his own hall in which his rooms, bathroom, personal kitchen with wait staff, etc are. The girl sleeps not in his room, but in a very small room adjoining that of his so that if he wants to call her - to sing him to sleep, or some other ridiculous task, he can at any time. The entire compound is very large. Each bathroom has a soaking tub, a plumbing system similar to that of Ancient Rome, and a servant in it. The communal halls are overly decorated, large rooms with a lot of space, massive couches to lie on, games and entertainment. There's also a meeting hall, where they will conduct negotiations every weekday. Outside, there's a pleasure garden and four swimming pools. At any time, if the Princes want, they may meet with the Princesses, otherwise, they have free reign of the compound when not negotiating. The time of negotiation each day is the only time the Fleures get to themselves.

...I should make NPC Princesses. But not all 12 of them. That would be absurd.

I can always create one of the princess' profiles...I have a slight problem with being addicted to creating too many characters in a single RP for some reason XD

As for the nation, I was thinking Reitir would be something of a dictatorship. Vinicius (Viktor and Irene’s father) overthrew his own father, who was King at the time, in a popular revolution, because he felt his father’s administration had grown too pre-occupied with gaining wealth for itself and for the King rather than doing the will of the people. It was a violent rebellion that ended quickly because most of Reitir’s military, soldiers who were paid little and grew more and more dissatisfied with the king as well, joined Vinicius rather than stay loyal to his father. It isn’t known exactly what happened to the king in the aftermath of Vinicius’ revolution, but it is thought that he might have actually been executed on the orders of his own son. Sort of a Chronos-Zeus sort of thing in a way.

After that, at first Vinicius’ new regime was very popular with the people, but rather unpopular with the elite classes because he took much of the ‘nobles’ wealth and distributed it to the rest of the people; this not only, as said, made the lower classes (who had suffered greatly under the reign of his father) more wealthy, it also effectively eliminated the corrupt noble class and its influence on the leadership of Reitir, which was one of Vinicius’ goals in his revolution. This left Vinicius and a precious few trusted generals from the revolution as the sole holders of power in Reitir. After many years of good, popular leadership, Vinicius began to tighten his control, using the military (now significantly higher paid than previously and thus far more loyal to their leader) to ensure no discord arose in the nation.

Since then Reitir has largely practiced a policy of isolationism in regards to most other nations, having little contact with them until now. However, the Empire of Shigan in particular had very close ties with the regime of Vinicius’ father, and in losing the Kingdom of Reitir as a strong ally relations between Shigan and the newly christened ‘State of Reitir’ fell dramatically, and since then great tension and dangerously bitter relations have existed between Reitir and Shigan. The dispatch of Viktor Venetius, as heir to the leadership of Reitir, to Shigan marks one of the first efforts towards reconciliation and diplomacy between the two nations.

So yeah…that’s a sort of brief outline of it…. :v

Nagato, I think that's a great level to the idea of Reitir, and it adds a reason for the tension between Reitir and Shigan, which is absolutely an opulent and oppressive society, in which the poorest are thrown to the crows and the richest plyed with ever-increasing wealth. And it would add interesting dimension to peace talks and this bride idea. I like how you've incorporated the corruption of ideals that so often goes along with a long-term power system.

I'll have to spend some time thinking of Shigan's motivations in more detail.

As for the NPCs, I'm going to make a thread for them, so they don't clutter up the character tab. I'll make the Emperor, and since his daughters range in age from one to thirty four, I think just the six who might be married (17, 20, 21, 22, 26, 28) should have profiles, which can be constructed however you want if anyone wants to make one or more - they're all at least part Inamai, as the Emperor is a bear Inamai. So that way if anyone needs to use such characters, they're available.

Hey, Kveria. I hoped you didn't mind Akako saying that Darren (nickris1's character) was late getting to the palace and that the last Fleure girl (who no one reserved and created yet) went missing inside the palace.

Don't mind at all. I think it's funny for one of the girls to get lost, and it makes a good excuse.

Gracie, whay would you do that? I for one would be going crazy if my hands were orange... what color do you dye your hair?

XD I don't ever wear gloves, it's a waste of time and hair dye comes off eventually. I bleached it and I'm dying it orange, with little pink streaks. :)

@Kveria, I’m glad you like Reitir then XD I’m gonna try to play up how the Lord of Reitir cares more about the state of Reitir than his own children or anything else…and how dangerously close Viktor is to becoming the same way when he ascends to rule Reitir :v

I unfortunately have nothing to contribute to the discussion at hand, because I have never dyed my hair…I like it the way it is… :v

I've never dyed mine either, I just know I'd be in a horrible tizzy if it was covered in dye. And Gracie, that sounds... obtrusive.

Oh, and don't worry about not giving me much to work with. Well, worry a little bit, because Darcy's too well trained to talk and and Viktor just doesn't like to, meaning we're going to have to get really good at expressing communication through physicality. But I think a few words go a long way.

I love wonky colors. They make me happy. I haven't dyed my hair in foreverrrr or bleached it, so I bought some yesterday and couldn't make myself wait any longer to dye it. My boyfriend has no clue and he's not going to find out until his grad party... lovely.
