The years roll by; as time does not stand still. Sora grew up to be a stunning young man, married Kairi (Riku was his best man), and died eventually, his name going down in history in many a world as their savior. The Organization has been long since destroyed. It's been long since Ariel was queen of Atlantica, since Beast's and Belle's son became the king of the castle, since Wonderland was... well, nothing really changed in Wonderland, everything's screwy there. There has been relative peace for a long time, the occasional Heartless here and there, nothing that would cause a panic. Until now. Two hundred and some odd years from the moment Xemnas was defeated.
At first, people thought the Heartless had mutated. They sure looked like Heartless. They reacted to violence like Heartless. But they weren't Heartless. They consumed people, not their hearts, creating a new one of them in the process. When one entered a room, the occupants seemed to all express the same emotion at once. The worlds knew how to fight the Heartless, but this was different. Ansem's successor, Mitsis the Wise, researched the new breed of creature then hurriedly sent out her report. The ten page-long report described a creature she called 'The Soulless'. She had discovered what they were, how to destroy them, to keep them from spreading, to protect worlds from collapsing to their power as they had to the Heartless long ago. Unfortunately only the cover of the report made it to the current King of Disney Castle. It read simply as thus:
- Code: Select all
Urgent! Deliver to King Mickey the Third Immediately! The following document contains critical information on the Soulless.
~Mitsis the Wise
Of course the new King felt he needed to jump into action. A spitting image of his great-great-grandfather, he summoned the Keyblade to him and opened the paths to the worlds. To hunt out the Keybearer to solve the problem once more was his mission. Leaving Queen Cwen, his bride, behind, he traveled to Traverse Town to aid the worlds and find the rest of Mitsis' report.
Unfortunately, the Soulless had been organizing as well. Black, freakish creatures with what appeared to be red scarring in their flesh seemed to be the lower-level specie, as they were not as powerful as the creatures that created the Endless Plain. A strange, bizarre world to which the Soulless began to flock. The more humaniod they appeared, the stronger they were, until it was impossible to tell a Soulless from a creature born naturally into a world. Except when placed in the same room as 'normal' creatures. The Society has formed, a group of Soulless of great power, each reflecting a different emotion and power. Fear has gripped the connected worlds and some are searching for ways to close their homes from the menace. To stop what horrors wait for the Worlds, a new Keybearer must rise with new friends. Is the new generation up for the challenge? Or has blood finally run thin?
Heartless-
When a heart falls to the darkness, it creates a being of pure darkness. It feeds upon what it lacks, creating more and spreading the darkness about. Stronger hearts create stronger, more powerful Heartless.
Pureblood Heartless are the natural Heartless, born when people's heart are normally consumed by darkness. They are ink-black in color, with yellow beady eyes. They are more common in nature in places that are close to or saturated in darkness. Upon their destruction, they simply disappear in puffs of darkness.
Emblem Heartless, on the other hand, are created from machines that reproduce the process of a heart being consumed by darkness. They have more varied shapes, colors, and are branded with Xehanort's symbol to differentiate them from the Pureblood ones. They mostly appear in the many worlds that reside in the realm of light, unlike natural born Heartless.
Nobodies-
Nobodies are born when a heart is swallowed by darkness and becomes a Heartless. They are the remaining parts left behind by the heart: the body, giving a Nobody form, and the soul, giving the Nobody life. However, only those with strong wills such as Sora are actually able to continue on as Nobodies. Those with the strongest wills manage to retain human forms with some slight changes to their appearance, while the rest possess malformed, barely humanoid appearances. Therefore, the more humanoid a Nobody, the more powerful it is. This is opposite the nature of the Heartless, whose form is more monstrous the stronger the original heart is (with the exception of Xehanort's Heartless, who for unknown reasons retained his human form).
All Nobodies, vanishing from the realm of light upon the loss of the heart, are born in a world in-between the realms of light and darkness, like Twilight Town or Castle Oblivion. However, because of this and their lack of hearts, they are shunned by both light and darkness, and do not truly exist.
Because of their missing hearts, Nobodies lack emotion. Although, some humanoid Nobodies pretend to possess emotions, fooling others as well as themselves. On the other hand, Nobodies manage to keep their memories of their former lives, but unusual Nobodies lack memories of their former selves. Such memories are the reason why they can pretend to have emotions. However, even though Nobodies don't have emotions, they can think and plan (as opposed to the Heartless, which simply act on instinct, with a few exceptions).
Soulless-
Dark creatures that inflict a single emotion upon others. It is currently unknown how they were originally created, however it is clear how they create more. They attack and consume a creature whole, a new Soulless sprouting from the first, the remains of the creature originally consumed. As the populations of Worlds are consumed, the World becomes barren, a wasteland with a few remaining Soulless to patrol for fresh blood.
Some Soulless are animalistic in appearance. The more humanoid a Soulless appears, the stronger it seems to be. Some cannot be distinguished from 'normal' creatures. The creatures that look the most humanoid seem to be part of a group called the Society, similar to Organization XIII of the Nobodies, only these creatures have the potential to be more dangerous. Soulless are immune to each other's effects and to mind-affecting spells that are closely related to the emotion they represent. {i.e. A Soulless that represents Fear can not be affected by a spell or ability that causes fear or creatures to run away.}
- 1) Follow the rules.
2) Your parents don't matter. The Keyblade is not connected to bloodline. Anyone could have a Keyblade.
3) The Keyblade is on a first come-first serve basis. There will be two openings for our ultimate weapon of light, that's it.
4) The Organization didn't have man-babies. It's an all-new cast, guys. If you manage to come up with a plausible descendant, I'll allow it.
5) No GM, PP, etc, etc. Follow the basic rules of RPing.
6) Make me happy. Play decent characters, please.
7 ) Chatspeak makes Kita cringe. I allow none. ! d0 n07 5p34k 1337!! And neither should you.
8) Recruit! If someone joins and tells me you sent them, I'll send you a *fabulous prize!
9) We'll have contests and such to make things more interesting. Best fight scene award, best banner award, best Keyblade for non-disney world award, etc. Win *fabulous prizes!
10) Make stuff up! If you come up with designs/names for Soulless, feel free to use 'em! If you come up with new worlds, use 'em! If you want to use worlds other than Disney movies, use 'em! New Heartless? New Nobodies? New Keyblades? Use 'em! Just so long as you make it clear what it is, I have no problem with creativity! Truth of the matter is, I only have a vague concept of the Soulless, so any good ideas are welcome!
11)I reserve the right to change the rules at any time.
*All fabulous prizes subject to revision and possible unfabulousness. In fact, there's nothing I can give you. -shrug- Except praise.

Name: Society members can have 'x's or 'z's in their name. Because I say so... or more like they were meant to have 'z's, but Xikta has an 'x' and her name's on all the pictures I have of her. -shrug-
Title: Such as the Melodious Nocturne, something for me to put up in the character list on the IC thread.
Alignment: Good, evil, neutral... something in-between
Age: Granted, a Nobody, Heartless or Soulless can be less than an hour old, put how old they look...
Gender:
Height:
Weight:
Sexuality: Some people love to throw in romance, which I don't mind.
Appearance: A basic physical description
Creature Type: Nobody, Soulless, Human, Lion, anything else you can possibly imagine
World of Origin: The Soulless don't need to worry too much about this, but the world you were created on will be good enough.
Bio: As a Soulless, you needn't worry about your history, but your current situation is required here. {how you came to be, what you did when you realized Xikta was calling the shots, etc.} I expect at least a well-written paragraph, perhaps two.

Secondary Requirements:
The Society:
- -an emotion that the Society member represents; this not only allows you to inflict that emotion upon others, but to call similar Soulless to your aid
-a weapon of some form, be it claws, fang, blade, or bullet
-an element or special ability unique to your Society member-- listed under magic-- Xikta only selects the strongest to be part of the Society.
-a mild loyalty or willingness to do as Xikta commands. The numerical order of the Society is based upon how much she trusts that Soulless, although you may not like or respect Xikta at all if you so choose. Yet she's still in charge, regardless if the other members are stronger or smarter than her. {a civil war may be an interesting twist to the Soulless regime... -ponder-}
-The Society's uniform- although it is not the same for everyone, the majority of the Society's color scheme is white {unlike the Organization who had black robes} black and other colors may be included at your discretion, so long as you do not have purple- as that is a symbol of royalty, which Xikta has claimed for herself.
New Worlds:
- Deviant's Playground {Loosely based on the website Deviantart}
Rapture {Bioshock}
The USG Isshimura {Dead Space}
New Gotham {Batman}
Montressor's Space Port {Treasure Planet}
The Endless Plains {A fragmented world created by the Soulless}
Kingdom of Games {A world based on a chess board}
Elenia {A destroyed world of Darkness}
New York City {Gargoyles}
Vanadiel {A war-ridden world}
Name: Xikta
Title: The Hateful Sorceress
Alignment: Evil
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 120lbs
Sexuality: Apathetic
Appearance: Xikta is a cat-like creature, though she appears mostly humanoid. Her long blue hair is accented by blonde highlights at the tips of her bangs and the end of her cat-like tail. She sports feline ears atop her head, which swivel and lay back depending on her mood- which is usually foul. Her skin is pale, as if she had never gotten enough sunlight as a child and riddled with red scars along her fingertips and legs- all of which she keeps covered with black and white gloves and boots. She is garbed in an elaborately layered dress, swirls of black and white dancing across its surface in a never-ending struggle for dominance over the outfit. Although her dress is dominated by white, she is a purely evil creature, often sporting a look of disdain as she looks down upon her enemies and even her allies. Draped across her shoulders, Xikta wears a mantle of deep purple, signifying her 'royalty' among the Soulless as their commander.
Creature Type: Humanoid Soulless
World of Origin: The Deviant's Playground
Bio: As the Deviant's Playground was consumed by the Soulless that arrived there via the darkness, a true monster was born. Xikta, a creature born of the hatred of the World's occupants for things they didn't like or didn't trust, rose from the belly of a fellow Soulless and stood, stronger than many others. She spent the first days of her 'life' as most other Soulless did, feeding on the remaining occupants of the world, but she quickly grew bored of simply hunting. She was far more intelligent than the common Soulless. She was above simply feeding. It wasn't long before she found others like herself- others possessing power greater than her own, but perhaps not will. Together, they created the Endless Plains, a fragmented, mis-named world composed of a large castle-like structure and a floating archipelago of masses of tainted land. She quickly made herself queen of the Soulless, happy to call the shots, although she herself was not the strongest of all the Soulless. She spread them into other worlds, forming the Society-- a collection of strong, intelligent Soulless with a single thing in common, the willingness to follow Lady Xikta's orders. She experimented with the Soulless, seeking out a young woman named Mitsis the Wise to find out all she could about her own specie. It wasn't long until she found out that Mitsis had other plans with the research. She managed to intercept and scatter the pages of Mitsis' report, to prevent the 'warriors of light' from stopping her perfect regime and imprisoned Mitsis for betraying her. She has recently made a shady deal with Hades, though not many know exactly what it is she's planning.
Personality: Xikta is cold, abbrasive, impassive, hateful, snide, malicious, wretched, cruel, and most of all, evil. She allows only a few to get close to her personally, and then only uses them to acheive her own goals. She isn't the forgiving type and often holds grudges for long periods of time, brooding and plotting her own revenge. As the embodiment of Hatred, the air around her is filled with the feeling, making others uneasy. She only wishes to rule over you like the insects you are. {I know, it's crap...}
Weapon(s): N/A, Xikta uses her lackeys to fight
Magic: Graviga, Aeroga, Inflict Hatred
Attributed Emotion: Hatred
Relations: Society Members, Hades
Crush(s): N/A
Status: Society Member I
Username: Kita-go-nyaa
Name: Tsarin Rook
Title: The White Rook
Alignment: Good
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Height: 4'3"
Weight: 94 lbs {130 including his shield}
Sexuality: He's too young to be into that at the moment.
Appearance: Tsarin is a young blonde boy with wide blue eyes and light skin. He wears an over-sized white tunic over an armored skirt. The long sleeves of his tunic drape past his hands and usually dag on the ground. He wears a red belt across his stomach that matches the red jeweled accents on his skirt, white boots, and white gloves. He also sports a large castle-like hat with a single large red jewel in the center of the front. The large white hat frequently slides down over his eyes, making it hard for him to talk to others or fight with it on. Tsarin also has a large, white, red-jeweled shield, usually strapped to his back when he isn't using it.
Creature Type: Human
World of Origin: The Kingdom of Games
Bio: Tsarin, or simply Tsar, grew up in the Kingdom of Games. His father was a Rook on the White side, his mother a Pawn. The entire world was ruled by the royalty of either color. There weren't many children his age on the White side, so he grew up practically alone-- aside from the young princess of the White side, Saraphina. It was a beautiful friendship and since he would eventually become her protector, it was encouraged by both the Queen and King. However, beautiful things do not last. The Soulless invaded the White Side, then spread to the Black, decimating everything in their path. The Princess escaped with a few Black Pawns and a White Knight, leaving Tsar behind to fight with the other inhabitants of the World.
He eventually was forced to flee with a couple of other Pawns from the World. He moved to Traverse Town, hoping to find Saraphina, but had no such luck. He considered heading out once more on a Gummi Ship, but he decided to stay and aid Ioa in her attempts to locate the Keybearer and protect Traverse Town from the immiant threat of the Soulless.
Personality: Tsarin is a very friendly, pleasant boy. He can be a little shy at times and he doesn't like to take compliments. He tends to be a little too open around others, especially others his age. He often does things socially without thinking, like giving hugs, shaking hands, and other physical contact that tends to be thought of as gestures reserved for close friends or relatives. When fighting, Tsarin is the type to hang back and avoid conflict. He does his best to protect the others around him without inserting himself into a place where he could be seriously injured needlessly.
Weapon(s): Shield of the White Rook
Magic: N/A
Relations: Ioa, Princess Saraphina
Crush(s): None
Status: Part of Traverse Town's city guard.
