Introduction
The town itself is small but still manages to home those who were born there along with many wandering tourists who are all here for the beautiful Winter scenery. It is average in appearance during any other season but the Winters in Ashwick are the stuff of legend, which is how these few teens managed to get themselves a home there for a few months to witness this for themselves. Little did they know, this would turn out to be the best Winter vacation of their entire lives, for obvious reasons. Some are less keen than others to form relationships with another whilst some are more than keen and others quite simply just don't care.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 5 authors
Grayson looked up some with a bright smile plastered on his expression. He stared out into the forest, taking in every aspect of his surroundings. The Winter was probably his favourite time of the year because of how beautiful the areas in and surrounding the town could be. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and just like that, any magical feeling surrounding him was completely sucked dry. A small frown crept onto his face and caused his brows to lower considerably. He pulled the phone from his pocket and decided to take the call. It was from his mother anyway and she'd probably have a heart attack if he started ignoring her; she was over-protective that way.
"Hello," he said, his voice just as cheery as his previous expression. "Dear God, child, where the hell have you been? I've been worried sick!" she exclaimed, causing him to move the phone away from his ear some as she screamed on at him as per usual. "Okay... Well-... Yeah, okay, I'll be home soon." He lowered the phone with a small sigh before placing it back in his pocket. So much for spending his day outside; his mother was requesting him home for dinner...
His mother was waiting in the hallway for him when he got home and before he could remove his thick coat, scarf and hat she wrapped her arms around him. He rolled his eyes. "Seriously... I do this every day, what's your problem?" he muttered and she shot him a look that said 'did you honestly just ask me that?' Almost instantly afterwards, he regretted asking. It was a sensitive topic for both of them. "...Nope," he whispered to himself, before closing his eyes some. It was a terrible habit of his. "When's dinner then?" he asked and his mother turned her head towards the kitchen. "Soon."
Elise pulled up outside of the surprisingly small motel in the car she had rented for her stay in Ashwick. Just driving through the town itself, she could tell it was a small little area, but she absolutely refused to walk around in the snow all of the time so a Volkswagen Beetle seemed like her best option. Plus, she'd underestimated just how cold it was going to be in this place, and so she hadn't necessarily packed the best Winter gear. A few jackets, boots and scarves but even with all of that she'd still be freezing to death outside. With a sigh she stepped out of her vehicle, only to be greeted by an extremely cheery-looking young male. Elise couldn't help but smile as he offered to take her luggage and carried it inside as she locked her car door and followed him in.
Once inside, she was lead to a desk. Sat behind it was a rather unenthusiastic woman with hair light red hair tied back scruffily. She looked up at Elise without lifting her head and let out a sigh. "Can I ask your name?" she asked, her voice monotonous. "Elise... Mauvie," Elise replied and the woman nodded her head some, before standing and retrieving one of the keys from the very few pegs on the wall behind her. She then passed the key to Elise and sat back down, her head lowering again as if her attention had been drawn again to the newspaper lay on her desk.
"If you'll follow me, Elise," spoke the boy who had retrieved her luggage and without another word, she followed him up the stairs, down the hall and then into the first room on the right of the hallway.
The room itself looked amazing, coloured in mainly greys, whites and blacks. The furniture was fairly simple; a desk, bed, wardrobe, bedside table and a door on one side of the room which seemingly lead to her own private bathroom. She loved it already and knew that after three whole months she probably wouldn't want to leave. Her own bedroom at home was nowhere near as beautiful as this one, but then again she couldn't necessarily afford the greatest things with the wages she earned from stripping off her clothes.
When the clothes she'd brought had been packed away properly, she shoved her suitcase underneath the bed and walked back downstairs to see if any of her friends had arrived yet.
Nikita excitedly tapped her foot on the floor of the taxi as they neared the motel, she smiled to the driver before hopping out of the vehicle and running into the reception,
"Hi," she smiled to the woman behind the desk. "The name's Jones and we have a room for 2, separate beds." she chirped excitedly as she leant on the desk in front of the red headed woman. She gave Nikita a cold glare before getting up and grabbing her key, she handed it to her and gave her a fake smile before returning to the newspaper on her desk.
Nikita took a seat on one of the couches that were set in the small reception area, waiting for her brother to come in with their bags, she had her own handbag but she needed her other bag, it had all her clothes and a few extra pairs of shoes. She looked at the decor of the reception and smiled at it.
Joseph rolled his eyes as his sister hopped out of the car, leaving him behind. He took his wallet out of his back pocket and looked up to the driver.
"How much do I owe you?" he smiled to the rather repulsive driver, his hair was balding, his teeth were grey and most definitely a few weren't real, his stomach sat out so much that you could see it beneath his shirt and his moustache was just a trap for the man's food and whatever sauces he put on them.
"That'll be $10." The man wheezed and Joseph caught a whiff of his pungent breath and attempted to hide his repulsion. He quickly handed the man a $10 bill and hopped out of the taxi. He quickly grabbed the bags from the boot of the car, slinging his backpack over one shoulder and pulling the other two along behind him. He was then helped by a guy that was roughly the same age as him and he was a much more welcome sight than the taxi driver and Joseph smiled at him as he took Nikita's bag.
"Let me help you with that." he smiled, as he took Nikita's bag and took it up into the reception. Nikita sat in on of the couches, looking around herself like she'd nothing better to do.
"You could have got the keys." Joseph said to her and she jingled them with her fingers before standing up and taking her bag of the guy.
"I'll show you to your room." the young boy informed them, before holding a door open for them and beaconing them to go before him.
They followed him up some stairs and down a corridor, they were the second room on the left of the hallway. They quickly checked the room out, the walls were a lovely robin egg blue wallpaper with white floral patterns and the carpet was a lovely cream, the furniture was made from oak, the chair with cushions that had a similar shade of blue to the wallpaper and the bed had white covers. Nikita quickly went into the shower and cleaned herself, the journey was a long one and she suspected her hair was greasy from her touching it out of stress and boredom, her body was also stiff from sitting in the aeroplane and taxi for too long so she decided a shower would be the best thing right now. Once out of the shower, Joseph got into it after, with the same sort of worries except for not really caring about greasy hair. Once they had both showered, they changed into fresh clothes. Nikita changed into a pair of skinny jeans, a white cami, a black off the shoulder top and a red faux leather jacket.
Whilst Joseph changed into a green checkered shirt, a pair of dark jeans and a fur-trimmed coat, with fake fur of course. They quickly grabbed their shoes and head out for dinner before heading to a local bar, knowing that they wouldn't get served for being under 21, they settled with going to a local bar and just drinking a few soft drinks and enjoying their night.
Daily stood completely still as she carefully tattooed a customer's arm. The room was silent as she rounded the curves of the desired tattoo. She focused hard before she pulled away, admiring her work. She watched as the customer said something, moving his mouth quickly. Daily's hand went to her ear as she cranked up the volume on her hearing aid. She was suddenly exposed to a burst of talking from the other side of the shop. "What did you say?" She asked, adjusting her favorite cap. It was a bit faded from being worn so many times, but she loved it anyway.
The man looked back at her. "I said, thanks, I'll be coming here later," He spoke quickly again, as if he had made his coffee with Red Bull instead of water. Daily shrugged, getting up from her knees. She dusted off her jeans as she peered through the shop window. It was getting dark outside. Soon she could go home, or maybe hit a bar or something. Bars weren't her thing, but she needed something to do, and fast. Otherwise, her whole life would just be wasted away. Daily spaced out for a moment as the customer got up and left. Daily shrugged as she started to close up shop, turning off the lights and sweeping the floor quickly.
Once Daily was done, the employees slowly walked out, most of them talking about their plans for that night. Daily sighed as she walked out the door, turning off the light as she left. She stood in front of her tattoo shop. Daily had worked so hard, saving up every last penny so she could run her own tattoo shop, but now, it was disappointing. She expected so much more to happen, but everything was bland. Her shoulders sagged a bit as she walked to her car. SHe got in and started to drive home.
When she reached home, she flopped on her couch and closed her eyes. She suddenly sprung up. She clenched her fists and jumped off the couch. She ran to her room, fumbling through her clothes. She was going to do something instead of sitting around. She had no idea what, but she decided she was going to do something. She pulled out a jumble of random clothes and sorted through them, deciding on one of her favorite outfits. She spun around in the mirror, sighing. She felt like she could do so much more, but she had to go with what she had. Head held high, Daily marched out of her apartment.
The bus slowed to a stop and Tazmine saw they were at a bus station. She and a few others stood up, She adjusted her Pikachu winter cap, wrapped her equally yellow scarf around her neck and zipped up her lime green winter coat. The girl was about the most colorful thing in the white winter wonderland of Ashwick. She gathered the things, walked off the bus, but not before waving goodbye to an Asian Gentleman she'd befriended during the bus ride. He was a Managka, traveling the world for inspiration. He'd saw her and said she looked cute. At first she was a little creeped out but then he drew a little chibi version of her and she found the man genuinly sweet. He was a fellow artist so that was really the clencher. "Bye, Takashiro-san! Sayounara!" Tazmine said as she departed. She looked around and smiled. It was beautiful here in the winter, it must be gorgeous in the Summer. It was a shame she was only here for a few monthes. She trudged through the snow, thankfully her fluffy white 'Abby Bombiable' snow boots kept her warm and dry as she walked toward the motel where she'd been staying.
She entered with a smile, got her room key and made her way upstairs with the help of the conserigue, who assisted with her bags.
Once comfortable, she pulled out her cellphone and texted her Dad.
[To Dad:]
[Hey, Daddio! I made it, It's lovely here, Now for some exploring, TTYS. That's Talk to you soon :P Lol, Love you!]
Tazmine knew her father was working and couldn't read or response to her text, he was a truck driver, being on the phone and driving was illegal where she was from, beside the fact that it was just stupid.
Tazmine unpacked a little, then grabbed her drawing kit, It was a large wooden box with a built in easel, held all her pencils, erasers, blending tools, canvas' and anything else an artist would need. Her father bought this exspensive thing when she turned 18. He also surprised her with her acceptance letter to the Arts Institute. Hands down the best birthday Evah!
Tazmine walked around the village with a smile lingering her face, eyes wondering just about everywhere...except directly in front of her.
"Oomph!" Taz ran smack into someone's back, knocking her onto her backside. Her drawing kit was sturdy so she wasn't too worried about it. "Heh heh, My fault. I am such a klutz." She said sheepishly as she stood up, knocking snow from her bright green coat.
Sebastian Ulman-Beckett
It had been hard on both Sebastian and his father when mother died, but despite the many times his father told him to grow up, the irony was that in these distressing times, Sebastian remained strong for him which was a total contrast to his apparant weak self. He may not be physically strong but he certainly felt that he was mentally strong and had an inner strength that kept him strong in these trying times. Without his mother, Sebastian took more of the domestic role while attending school as well as his part-time work as a waiter in the local bar so he certainly had plenty on his mind to do.
Things had changed now as Sebastian heard the door shut downstairs which no doubt was Grayson as he heard his mother, their mother, yell down the phone to bring Grayson back home. It seemed such a routine was going on and on from how it appeared to Sebastian in these past few weeks that they all started living with each other and being a family, he would not pry however since it was something between them two, he only wished he and his father were close, but even more he hopes that his relations with his new mother would go well, and that he gets along with his brother, such that doesn't seem too difficult since they both had a love for art.
He let a few moments pass since he heard the door stop to give Grayson time to settle, no doubt to face mother, before Sebastian came down in skinny jeans and a white plain top, covered by a thin beige jumper that he wore ontop with a nice pattern in the middle. Going down the stairs, he peeked his head round and noticed Grayson, mother no doubt finishing dinner. Such that he hoped would be soon since he'd need to get ready to go work, not that he expected to be waitering for the next ten or so years, all this was only temporary. As of now, his uniform was ironed and hanging over his bed, so it was just a case of putting them on and heading to work, wondering if today would be an easy day or if he would be rushed off his feet, it varied. Most wanted to just drink anyway than eat.
Creeping up behind Gray, he shot his hands under his armpits before withdrawing them as he announced himself, "Hey!" with a beaming smile on his face which he hoped would cheer him up some, seeing that he had gone out as per usual, only to be brought in the way he had. He wasn't used to having a sibling around which no doubt Gray was too, so he only hoped that he was doing the right thing. "How was it, outside?", he then asked, curious where Gray had gone to this time. He loved the Ashwick weather, especially in winter, even if it meant putting layers upon layers on but it was all worth it. Maybe they could build a snowman, sure it may be for younger people but Sebastian still found it fun.
Ron Pope - A drop in the ocean.
Grayson felt two hands under his armpits and he sighed some as he turned only his head to look at Sebastian. "Hey!" he greeted and Gray couldn't help but grin at the sight of the beaming expression on his step brother's face. He'd been less keen to accept his new father into the family but his little Bastian was just too adorable to ignore. Granted, they were the same age, but Seb was just so tiny compared to him that he always called him little Bastian. "How was it, outside?" Sebastian asked and Gray shrugged some. "Amazing, as per usual," he replied, soon followed by a light chuckle.
By this point their mother had wandered off into the kitchen and continued to prepare their dinner, but as per usual she popped her head back into the hallway and requested that he pick up eggs from the shop as quickly as he could. "Oh, and take your brother, won't you?" she asked, practically shooing him out of the house.
Gray's eyes fell to Sebastian, who didn't look ready to go outside, and shook his head. "I don't need an escort," he muttered. Ever since the incident with Leo, his mother had never trusted him to go outside on his own, which was understandable in a sense but still... it was getting sort of irritating. "Don't mean to sound rude, Bastian." With that, Grayson exited the house for like the third time that day but this time he didn't head straight to the forest, instead he took the route to the shop which wouldn't usually have taken him long on any ordinary day.
He hadn't been paying full attention either because he felt something on his chest and when his eyes finally caught up he noticed a girl that had been knocked over. "Heh heh, my fault. I am such a klutz," the girl said as she stood up and Grayson couldn't fight the urge to chuckle some. "Not at all, I wasn't paying much attention either, so don't worry about it." It was only then that Grayson studied the girl's face and realised that she wasn't from around Ashwick because he was outside all the time and he'd never seen her before in all his eighteen years of living in the village. "I've never seen you before, are you new or something?"

While she looked more like Mother then her father, she'd acquired his olive skin. Well, he was considerably darker, but she'd gotten some of it. Not at all, I wasn't paying much attention either so, don't worry about it." Said the boy, Tazmine crashed into. She smiled as he chuckled. Immediately, she thought he was cute and his accent was to die for. She'd always had a thing for accents. She swallowed that thought and she grabbed up her art kit and dusted the snow from it as well. "I've never seen you before, are you new or something?" He asked. Taz smiled. "Yeah," She said using a finger to pull some strands of hair from her face.
"I'm here on Vaction...er holiday, I'm meeting up with my cousin and some friends." She with a small giggle, at her correction. "I'm Tazmine, Tazmine James. You can call me Taz." She said holding out her hand to him. "Are you a Native?" She asked with a smile as she looked around. "It's soo pretty here."
(EDIT)
Sebastian Ulman-Beckett
It was certainly nice to have a mother again, though it was not the same and nor would it ever be, but he did accept her as his father knew he would as Sebastian was simply that sort of a person and she was a nice enough person even if she did get overprotective over Gray though is expected. It was certainly great to have a big brother also, even if they were the same age though they didn't know each other so much since only a month had gone by, but Sebastian would try not to mess this up. Upon seeing Gray's face in his confrontation with his, no their mother, Sebastian was determined to cheer him up which he did to an extent as his efforts were rewarded with a grin from him. It was however clear that maybe Grayson wasn't the ticklish or jumpy type when he shot his hands under his armpits, or he merely did not let it show, either way shown what a strong guy he was which he really liked about him. He was always worried about how weak he himself is, so having a strong brother around was certainly comforting. He wished he was stronger but he simply wasn't the fighting type.
"Amazing, as per usual", was Gray's reply as he chuckled in response to how things were outside. With it being the holidays, Sebastian certainly had more time now, and now no longer filling the role of 'mother' for his dad, he also could relax and have fun more but where to start was the question. Like him, Gray seemed to have admiration for the surroundings to spend his time in the great outdoors, but being new to the household, Sebastian simply didn't like to get in the way so much which was why he'd let Gray have his time outside and not interfere, while it would give him rest to get things ready for work as you never know what you expect when you're working in a bar which can be a rough place from time-to-time, such is where Gideon come in.
For now, he only heard his mother ask Gray to get some eggs, which in his mind would of been alot easier if he was asked to collect some eggs on his way home so he didn't have to go out in the cold again. However, Sebastian was not to comment, but then an 'awkward' moment erupted after their mother asked Gray to take him along who shook his head in response, "I don't need an escort....Don't mean to sound rude, Bastian", which Sebastian responded with a smile to hopefully make him feel better, "It's okay", before letting him go, leaving him to deal with mother. What better way to get mother's attention....join her of course, as he then went into the kitchen to help out which would help speed things along for the quicker they had dinner, the quicker he could get to work and earlier he could come back too....
(OOC @ Taz/Gray - Will have Seb briefly appear next turn so Seb can go shop for Gray to give you both some time)
