Thoughts on what's next for "Two Sisters, A Cop, & An Apocalypse"? Did you guys wanna end up at the news station with us or did you maybe wanna run into us somewhere later?

Oh I have no idea yet! I'm just trying to catch up! DEAR GOD THOSE ARE SOME LONG POSTS!!! But in my head I was actually thinking of them heading out of the city in the morning and maybe meet up with your group on the road or something. But that's just me, I'm not sure about Moonlight, haven't really gotten the chance to talk with anyone on this rp since the con I went to.

We're starting to be able to efficiently include other characters in our own posts, which will allow us to cover ground faster like we have been. It's harder to write short posts and then wait for them to post a response. That kind of back and forth takes days and days to piece together.

I did! And I discovered the hard part about coming back...real life is SO boring. And I love how friendly people are at conventions, I wish people would act like that all the time you know?

I totally know what you mean. Boy, do I ever. People can be stuck in their own heads and forget to treat people the way they'd like to be treated. But then there are conventions and other terrific things from time to time =) I'm so glad you had a great time!

State of the Roleplay

I decided it'd be a good idea to throw these out every once and awhile to make sure we're all on the same page moving forward. This is just an update on the condition of the city and other things going on in the story...

# Los Angeles currently still has power, although cell service cut out hours ago. The landlines appear to still be working, as would a satellite phone if one had access to such a device.

# The freeways are jammed up with car, blocking all outbound routes. Most of the cars are simply abandoned, but there is also plenty of wreckage clogging up the roads.

# A similar situation is unfolding in the inner-city. There are bodies, debris, and wrecked/abandon cars littering the streets making them extremely dangerous. The increasing population of walkers has already made travelling outside dangerous, and now the local military is getting involved, so you have live ammunition and explosives being used around the city.

# Hospitals are not only overflowing with patients, but were the first places to really be overrun by the walkers as dead patients began reanimating all over. They are easily some of the most dangerous places one could be right now which is unfortunate because they hold the best medical supplies. The heaviest military presence is in these areas where the hospitals were sort of the catalyst for this whole event.

# It's roughly 8 or 9 o'clock at night now. The Sun is definitely down, but the city seems quite lively. There is pure pandemonium going on with looters, walkers, police, military, and civilians.

# Except for what our characters have experienced themselves, we have no clue what these things are, how they came to be, or how to effectively manipulate or take them down. Some of the first things we might learn are that they have to be attacked in the head to be killed, that their bites are fatal, and that they can't be reasoned with. We'll likely discover more about them and the infection, but for now... information is power.

# As the situation unfolds, several things will become priorities. We all have friends and relatives that we are surely concerned about, so making contact with them will be high on that list, but outside of that, food, shelter, water, and weapons will be the only things worth worrying about.

Did I miss anything? Anyone have other thoughts/questions/concerns/puns?

Hey sorry about my slowness, all my coursework was due in this week ans the past week has been a huge push to get it all done and corrected in time, but hopefully I'll have time outside of revision to get posts done :3

Well I was thinking me and Fredy would head to the police station, probably radio the other survivors, news stations would have a receiver wouldn't they? And then flee the city, unless Fredalice had any other ideas?

The news station would have a police scanner, but my guess is that LAPD would have jammed the signal earlier on in order to prevent media and other folks who own scanners from knowing what's going on, as a safety precaution. So, if the scanners are on a frequency that media/etc. can pick up, they could hear you, but they can't respond since they have no way of jumping in on that channel.

We must find a creative way to pull this off!

This is going to be weird, but I've been pondering neuroplasticity and personality types. Meaning, change that occurs in brains/personalities due to purposeful, self-conscious change or traumatic events. Characters in TWD series have changed starkly and are practically different people from pre-plague to the current place in the stories. I mean, it's insane to see how much those people have changed.

This is also going to sound incredibly dorky, but what if we did Myers-Briggs assessments of our characters? I might try that with mine and see where that leads.

For instance, I just went to 16personalities.com and took the test in the mind of characters and came up with the following:

Nathan: ESFP (Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceptive) http://www.16personalities.com/esfp-personality

Harper: ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judgmental) http://www.16personalities.com/istj-personality

Stevie: INFJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Judgmental) http://www.16personalities.com/infj-personality

16Personalities categorizes types as the following:

Analysts (INTJs, INTPs, ENTJs and ENTPs):
Intuitive and Thinking types - they are fiercely independent, open-minded and imaginative, shining in intellectual debates and scientific or technological fields.

Diplomats (INFJs, INFPs, ENFJs and ENFPs):
Intuitive and Feeling types - they are cooperative, empathic and imaginative, focusing on empathy, morality and cooperation.

Sentinels (ISTJs, ISFJs, ESTJs and ESFJs):
Observant and Judging types - they are highly practical, meticulous and traditional, embracing and creating order, security and stability wherever they go.

Explorers (ISTPs, ISFPs, ESTPs and ESFPs):
Observant and Prospecting types - they are spontaneous, practical and inventive, able to quickly think on their feet and make best use of their surroundings.

#

I don't know if this is useful at all in terms of character development. I thought it might be fun to throw out there and see what you guys think.

I love that test. Took it in high school. Diagrammed my personality like I've never seen. Kinda creepy accurate, to be honest...

@Moonlight yeah going to the station is a good plan and I'll try to post tomorrow; I think I need to work some more on Dyomie's "works badly with others" and "doesn't trust easily" concepts some more, but then again they may show up later or when they are at least out of immediate danger since she'll want to protect her sister at any costs...I think I need to figure that out...

I recently discovered that I'm an INFJ—an introvert disguised as an extrovert. It explained a LOT of things, LOL! My whole life I had thought (and been told) that I was an extrovert. LOL.

If you ever get a chance to take the SDI (Strength Deployment Inventory), I highly recommend it. Amazing. It pegged me to the tee. It measures motivations and conflict sequences. My whole life I thought (and had, again, been told!) that I was one way, but it turns out, I'm not! It plots you on a colored triangle. I'm a blue. Very, very blue. I thought someone snuck into my brain while I was asleep... http://www.personalstrengths.us/index.p ... n-overview This test was done as part of a course, so it can't really be done online... But if you ever get the chance, take it!
