"Purple dresses? I thought they were just flamers trying to get me for my good looks." Terry was glad he was wrong. "Wait!" He shouted to Dolly. "Maybe we could use your help but if anything goes sour it'll be your neck."

"What's the magic word?" She asked slyly, looking at him through the corner of her eye. "I'll give you a hint, it's not 'abracadabra' so don't even guess that one. Things won't go sour, and I can make sure of that.

"Hey, it's better than the trunk!" she said. She climbed into the back seat and started humming an old road-trip song. "Where we going anyway?" she asked. "And can you put on some music?"

"We're gonna need to know where that sanctuary is. If you put in music it better not be crap. I wont listen to it all the way. Did you have caffine today?"

"hang on, If you've got a GPS built in, I can upload the co-ordinates from my brain. God, that never stops sounding creepy. I can also upload my "Road-Trip" playlist. And no, I have not had caffeine, but I recently did an emergency re-boot and I'm not at 100% yet. It makes my systems go all funky... one time I bit an old lady and ran off with her dog. There was this other time when I bought, like, 5 taxidermied cows because I thought they could talk, and another time when I ran through the streets screaming at the top of my lungs because I thought people were chasing me... actually that's happened more than once. Good times." Dolly pulled a plug out of the back of her hand and plugged it into the car's computer system. Dolly had weird taste in music, it was mostly electronic, but some was music by obscure folk bands.

"You know Marine Drive? We need to get there first. I know a shortcut, if you make a left here and get to Central via Carter and Cathedral we can get there a lot quicker. Once we're at Marine, wake me up." Dolly leaned back and went to sleep almost immediately, randomly mumbling and twitching in her unconscious state. It was almost comical.

Terry drove the streets Dolly had told him to, and got to Marine Dr. Looking at the area, it wasnt the best place to keep the doors unlocked at. Terry turned around and woke Dolly up, getting his hand slapped in the process.

"No... penguins... get them off... I'll bite your face... red flags you say... elderberries..." Dolly mumbled. Terry woke he up and she slapped him, not out of semi-conscious stupor, but out of spite. "Are we there yet? Oh, wait, we are. See that building up ahead? The one with the green doors? That's the one. Use the parking garage on the southwest side, then we wait."

"That place barely has any windows. Is every person in that place depressed or what?" Terry pulled the car into the garage Dolly pointed out and pulled into the closest spot to the elevator.

"This isn't the sanctuary. See that camera up there? They know we're here and they'll send someone for us soon. This isn't the usual route, but it's the one to make sure newcomers don't betray us and security remains tight as a drum. This Sanctuary is the best in all of the Sanctuary network. We have access to medicine, food, and a few brilliant hackers who can get in to the government databases and make you guys invisible. Miles is the one you'll want to talk to about that. Oh! Here they are!" she pointed to a black van pulling in from the other end. She stepped out of the car and spoke with the driver. "Wilson! My favoritest person in the whole wide world! I brought company!"
"Get in." the driver frowned at them.
"What, not going to even offer me candy?"
"Not in the mood, Dolly."
Dolly motioned for Vain, Terry and Kata to come with her.
"These people are on the run, they need to lay low for a bit and talk to Miles."

Vain looked back and forth from Terry and Dolly and then looked to the people that arrived in the van. Apparently the leaders name was Wilson. The names of the other four were Tom, Harry, Jack, and Spencer. "How do we know we can trust them," he heard Terry ask. Vain looked up at him shyly and then too the men. "D-do you w-want me to check?" he asked. They weren't cyborgs like the girl was.

Vain nodded and reached out his mind to the leader of the party of men. His mind slammed into what felt like a brick wall. They had built up a defense against psychics, but he wasn't going to be deterred. Vain thrust himself along the edge of the barrier looking for some kind of weak point. After a moment he found it and thrust his way through into the man's mind. "Forgive me, but I have to be sure." he thought to him. He ran through the man's many memories and all of his knowledge in a manner of seconds. Before long he knew all of his secrets. After he was done he let his mind fade back into his body and looked up at Terry. "I-Its done," he panted. "They don't seem to have any ill intentions, but....I think I might have made them mad." He said pointing to the man named Wilson. The man was glaring at him from where he stood.

"Sorry to interrupt but before we knew about this, I was planning to go to my uncle in the forbidden zone because he is an Elite rebel. If were going to stay in this Sanctuary then I need to pick up my weapons at the outpost." Kata said. "It wont take more than an hour."

"I think it would be safer If you drove us to the forbidden zone, right Wilson?" Dolly batted her eyelashes at him sweetly. She then stuck out her tongue, made a funny face and twitched violently. Her motor control was not at full capacity yet.
"You've rebooted again haven't you?" Wilson Demanded.
"I can stop at any time!" She barked. "Well, what do you say?"
"It depends. Does she want to go on her own?" Wilson frowned at Kata from his dark brown eyes and looked a little concerned.
