//INFO//Our story takes place on the planet Sarion, year 225 PX (Planetary Exhibition).
Technology and Magic both coexsist on the planet. However, magic is illegal, and therefore no one is allowed to practice it without penalty of execution.
This planet has been under the sole rule of one Emperor Damian van Alzhander since 220 PX, who has been ruling with a dictator-like mannerism.
Humans use technology for everyday tasks such as field work and factory labor, where the poor and low middle class citizens usually work. Other jobs include desk work, servicing people on machine repairs. Machines are powered from an ancient energy source called Zionite
Other uses for the machines are combat, using walking bi-pedal machines called War Machs.
There is no freedom of religion on Sarion, the poor are persecuted, taxes are higher than any taxation in history, and civilians must house soldiers in time of war should a soldier show up at your home. Failure to obey these and other laws will result in imprisonment or execution.
//STORY//Since 220 PX, Emperor Damian van Alzhander has been ruling Sarion from his kingdom in Cyprus City. His power reaches over all the lands of Sarion, and his army has expands throughout the planet. One may look at Emperor Alzhander and think he is a nice, very benevolent man.
But his people think otherwise.
He is, in actuality, an evil, malicious ruler, killing all who speak out against him. The denizens of Sarion think the only way they will be free of him is when he draws his last breath on his death bed.
Life under his rule has been pure hell.
All over Sarion, rebellions have sprung up, destroying Alzhanderian Empire buildings, stealing the empire's War Machs and other technology, and preaching ill word of Damian van Alzhander.
However, the rebellion, named the Sarion Liberation Faction, realizes that these efforts are not enough to bring down Alzhander's entire massive empire. Their army is not powerful enough to overthrow such a tyrant. They're only hope lies in a legend.
The legend of a forgotten legacy: a machine built by The Ancients themselves: Messiah.
Messiah was a machine, much like the War Machs, that is only to be activated when Sarion is in grave danger.
Well the SLF believes that Sarion is in grave danger under the rule of Alzhander, and will not surrender until he is toppled from his throne.
But they need help. They require the assisstance of the one who was prophesized to awaken Messiah.
Will the rebellion succeed, or fail at the hands of the Empire?

Bio: Damian van Alzhander came to power when Sarion was at it's critical point after the great war of 210. He spoke out to the many denizens of Sarion, offering hope and prosperity. These were false claims, and he only wanted to rule so he could make the world suffer more for his benefeit. They would slave so his army would prevail, and so that no one would challenge the name of Alzhander ever again; not even the Ancients themselves. Damian destroyed all freedom of religion, claiming himself to be a god sent from the heavens. This too, was a false claim, but it had great effect. More people started to see Damian as a savior more than a destroyer. As his reign continued, people realized what kind of monster he truly was, but feared to speak out against him for the consequence of prison, death, or worse.
So, he rules Sarion with an iron fist, and looks forward to the day that the rebellion has been demolished, and all of Sarion will bow to him all at once.
