Kona was once an architect, designing many homes and businesses in Lahaina. He's now more of a beach bum than anything.

Kona is beloved by most everyone who he meets and is known for his laid backness and patience. He's got a big heart and has a soft spot for kids, especially his grandchildren. He can often be found surfing if not lazing around his lavish home with a grandchild or two.

Optional History
Kona is the only child of Hiwahiwakeiki and the only grandchild of Queen Liliʻuokalani. He was born and raised in Lahaina and he's helped build it into what it is today. After his wife died of cancer and he had served many decades as one of the island's major architects he retired to spend more time with his large family.

Mano owns and runs Mano's Place, the most successful restaurant in Lahaina.

Like his father, Mano is very laid back. Though he is a bit more go-with-the-flow than even Kona. He's a man with a big heart and an impish nature, often described as an oversized child. Despite having a wife, so many children, and a business to care for he still manages to be stress free. He takes unfortunate events in stride and rolls with the punches, always capable of finding the silver lining no matter how bad things may seem.

Nickname: Prefers to be called Dax, none of his friends know his middle name.

BioMorphing: The ability to shapeshift into any living creature, in Dax’s case he is only able to shift into living organisms that he has come in physical contact with, this includes humans, animals, plants, and insects of all sorts. He can not become a single-celled organism though.

Dax is very emotionally invested in his friends, though he may not show it, he cares deeply for them… he would never admit it.
He also cares a lot about his parents opinion of him, though he doesn’t do much to change the negativity of it.
Has the ability to play the violin very well, but rarely ever practices the art anymore.

Personality:
Slacker… That’s usually the word used to describe Dax, but obviously he doesn’t view himself as such. He might be a little lazy, but he has aspirations that he strives for, slowly. For the time being he wants to get as much of his slacker tendencies out of his system so that when the time for Adulthood comes he will be somewhat competent and less of an inactive bum as his father would say. You can say he embraces the IDGAF attitude by spending his days doing only what he cares about, with the occasional help to his parents just so he can earn some brownie points.

Sleep is his wife and Food is his mistress, Dax loves them both so very much. Luckily his Shapeshifting abilities rely on both giving him a viable excuse to indulge in both. Using these powers speeds up his metabolism and can cause him to become exhausted depending on how many times it had been used in a certain amount of time.

To sum it all up, Dax is a pretty laidback guy who just wants to spend his youth enjoying the things he likes.

Place of Origin: Detroit, Michigan
History: Born a cancer on July 21st, Side Note: Dax never enjoyed that his sign was of a crab… he would “rather be like the scorpion or something” (his own words). While living in Detroit, his mother stayed at home while his father worked in a stable, well paying position at a factory which produced car parts… sort of cliché for someone who lives in Detroit, but it provided a comfortable living for his wife and only child. Growing up with a family who emphasized the importance of education was pretty tough, forced to learn skills that he didn’t feel were important like playing the violin… it was all pretty useless to him.

“All we want is the best for you my son.” His mother used to tell him all the time. At the time it didn’t make any sense to him, but Dax always followed his parents' instructions. One of the most memorable moments in his life happened in Detroit at the age of 9, visiting the local aquarium was one of the most amazing things that Dax had ever experienced, it pretty much foretold his future interest in marine life. Seeing his son’s fascination with the fish, as incentive to make Dax perform better in school, he promised that he would purchase him a fish tank with a fish for every satisfactory grade he had earned. Soon after Dax had a fish tank with the most exotic fish a 9 year old could think of… the crew consisted of 4 gold fish, an angel fish, and one fish that reminded him of an old person, which he affectionately named old man.

Speaking of the old, this leads to the major life event of moving from Detroit to Lahaina, his new home. At the age of twelve, Dax’s grandmother (his father’s mother) became very ill, she resided in Lahaina, where she had retired. Making a life altering decision to move from Detroit to try and help his sick mother, Dax’s father quit his job and took a lesser job working at the Kealoha Hotel. Not being able to support his family and pay his mothers medical bills, Dax’s mother had to take a job at the hotel as well. Experiencing freedom that he had never felt before, the now teenager Dax was able to make decisions on his own, without the ridicule of his parents… well as long as what he did was out of their knowledge.

Becoming the slacker that he is known for today started after the move to Lahaina, unfortunately his new found pleasure of freedom was frowned upon. Keeping his grades average and not participating in any extracurricular activities was enough for him to get by, but his parents were not pleased. Now he is here, slacking off, hanging with friends, playing videogames, and transforming into miscellaneous things all while trying to get back to being the boy who his parents were proud of.

Lilo is a very sweet woman and has no problem being brutally honest when addressing a situation. She doesn't believe in sugar coating things. She is easily annoyed when it comes to having to repeat herself and doesn't like being ignored. She's very much a family type of woman but doesn't plan on adopting kids of her own any time soon. She loves helping people and trying to educate them about other cultures but she doesn't like posers – People who see adopting parts of other cultures as just a fad. Lilo is the oldest of Mano and Ailani's bunch of children and the only one not born as part of a set. While she wasn't exactly the cookie cutter type, she wasn't really a wild child either. When she was eighteen and graduated, she and her band took off to see the world and that's been her thing ever since. She's usually home for at least six months out of the year but she is hell bound and determined to make her mark on the world. Aside from playing concerts and opening for a few big name rock stars, she enjoys learning about the culture of other lands and doing what she can to help. She once spent an entire year going from village to village in India to help them build new homes and schools and improve their crops.

Written Personality
The other three parts of Hiwalani-Noa's quadruplet set, these three boys are hard to tell apart. In looks and personality. The boys are probably the most responsible of all Mano and Ailani's children, right next to Lilo. They aren't uptight and know how to have fun but since they've graduated high school and taken on the real world they've become more grounded and you will find them working more often than partying, something they've got no complaints with. Unlike quite a few of their other siblings and cousins, these boys strictly prefer women. Their approach to romance is where you can tell them apart. Honi is the hopeless romantic one. He's had his heart broken many times because he tends to fall hard and fast for many girls and often ends up proposing far too quickly, but he really means well. Hani is a bit more timid. He fears rejection in relationships and therefore he rarely pursues any. Hikia has the best of luck when it comes to relationships. Not one for a one-night-stand, Hikia has been dating the same girl for the past three years, one of the other instructors at the studio. While these boys are all quite the gentle giants (though hardly as giant as their three elder brothers) you still don't want to make them mad. All three of them are formally trained in Kung Fu by their father.
