Michael walked along the sidewalk that was faintly touched by the sun's rays. People were coming outside to got to work, and were also providing very good cover for him. Kai would have blended in perfectly, but people kept looking down at his left hand, his gauntlet. Some made quick glances at it, while others stared at it until they completely passed him. Michael just smiled at whoever locked eyes with him. This would make them think the gauntlet was just some Halloween glove. The scent was getting stronger and stronger as he took each step. Michael's eyes began to get heavy though, and his steps slowed down. I'm so damn tired, and this smell is only making things worse. He could have nearly passed out, but before he could, the smell began to fade a bit. The vampire's that had came inside weren't giving off an atrocious scent. Michael smiled once more and walked with more speed and stride, not caring for anyone he passed or who was following.

As he walked, something huge was coming into view. He put in hands behind his back, and eyed the beautiful thing that housed the monstrosities he wanted to kill. He took a breath toward the building, and felt like death had breathed in his face.

"So, this is the place. I've seen nicer though." Michael said before taking a camera out of his back pocket with his right hand and snapping a quick photo of the mansion. Michael then decided to head towards the new headquarters that Levin pointed out, but he took his time in doing so, especially when his job was basically finished. All he had to do was inform Belladona.

Sahren lowered her book and laid her head down upon a pillow. Her auburn locks fanned out from underneath her head, looking like dark ribbons against the sapphire fabric. While moments ago she enjoyed the solitude, now the female vampire was feeling restless. Being in her bed didn't help, either. She could lay her body down, but there was no finding the sweet relief of sleep. She was too haunted, that was, after all, a part of the curse that had been bestowed upon her long ago.

Sitting up, Sahren looked at her hands. They were ageless, flawless, beautiful and deceptive all at once. She sighed and swung her legs over the side of her bed. The black fabric of her dress swayed as she rose to her feet. The air in her room felt stale, and she wanted desperately to be outside. That was not an option, and she knew it. The sun would be high in the daytime sky by now. However, she did need some air. Sahren walked to her nightstand and pulled out a long, black glove. From there she made her way over to her window. She slipped the glove on, shielding herself from the sun to her elbow. She did not need to look to find the window latch. Without moving the curtain, she undid the latch and pushed open the large window.

Warm air met her then, and she inhaled deeply. There was a balcony outside her room, and she wished she could be on it now. Hundreds of years had past, and she still missed the way the sun had warmed her skin. But that was a lifetime ago, and she had since adapted to the life that had been given to her.

Still restless, she had to do something. Peeling off the glove as she walked, she dropped it on the ground. It was the singular item out of place in her immaculate room. Sahren reached the door and gently turned the nob. Judging by the way the music had been turned down, and the people spoke in hushed tones, Sahren guessed the party had died down. She made her way down the long, winding hall to Cedric's room. She rapped on the door gently with her knuckles. Even though it was a quiet knock, he would hear it if he was home. When there was no response, she pushed open the door. Personal space meant nothing to Sahren.

She scanned the room with her dark brown orbs, but Cedric was no where to be seen. She knew he would not be downstairs socializing with his uncle, so the only other option was that he had been stupid enough to go out into the sun. Sahren shook her head and closed the door.

He drove for hours watching the life that was outside the coven's walls. Yeah there was alot of shit in the world, crime, murder, war but for the most part he saw happiness in the simple things. As the sun set Cedric headed back to the coven house. This day had taught him something he would no longer let Liam rob him of his respect he was not afraid of the vampire heirachy. He reached down gripping the handle of his 970 HK VP70Z modified pistol. It held 18 ultraviolent laced bullets made by a friend. He knew what he had to do and it would change everything.
He was about 5 minutes from the coven house and the sun had just set. Suddenly a strong blurring pain rain over his head, a warning. Not a second later something slammed into the side of his car, throwing him against the window.

Cedric grabbed the wheel with both hands as the black sports car spun round and round. The lotus' back end slammed into a light pole and came to rest.

Cedric shook off the stunning pain his eyes cleared just in time to see a furry hulking beast leap onto the hood of his car. The lycan slammed both its fists into the windshield with all it's strength. The wolf beat its fists over and over but the armor plated glass did not crack. Cedric knew however that if there was one there was probably more and he would be in trouble soon. He turned to his right seeing another lycan charging at his door. He grabbed his silver laced kukri and unloaded the ultraviolent bullets and popped in his silver laced cartridge. He breathed deep and kicked the door open.

The lycan on the hood growled at him foaming spit from his mouth, Cedric unloaded 3 bullets into the beasts chest sending it flipping backwards howling in pain. The charging lycan was on him it lept a good 10 feet, Cedric met the beast in the air throwing both his feet out catching the monster in the face. They both flew back Cedric landing in a crouch, he raced forward to the recovering lycan. Flipping the kukri upside down he lept on the beast digging the large knife into the lycan's throat cutting a smile and silencing the lycan's growls. He stepped back to see many pairs of yellow eyes and growls from the shadows.

Cedric ran as fast as his inhuman speed could carry him as well over 10 lycans were on his tail. He turned down the street where the coven mansion sat at the end of a cul-de-sac. He didn't want it to happen this way but he had no other choice, he just prayed he would reach the coven walls before the lycans overran him.

Nothing made Sahren feel more alive than the setting of the sun. She stood on her balcony, enjoying the balmy evening air. She watched as the sky changed from fiery orange and red to deep purple and blue. A feeling of bliss washed over her like a rogue wave as she leaned on her ornate balcony railing. Her room faced the back of the manor, and she could see nothing more than the rolling hills, fields and trees that flanked her home.

Sahren rested her head in her hands, auburn hair flowing in waves over her arms. She was dressed simply that night, as no party was occurring. Her legs were clad in simple, black pants. They were form fitting and hugged all her curves. The bottoms of her pants were tucked into a pair of thigh high black leather boots. The boots had an array of straps and buckles on the side, each one holding and concealing a small blade. Her and arms and shoulders were covered by soft, airy cream fabric. Over her stomach and chest she wore a waist cinching black leather corset. A silver locket hung from her delicate neck.

Suddenly, the female became restless. Cedric had not came home and rumors had begun circulating throughout the coven that he had been captured by lycans, or even killed. Liam had spoke of sending search parties out for his nephew, but as far as Sahren knew he had done nothing but sit and drink.

The whole situation made Sahren feel uneasy. Too many members of her coven had not come home. Cedric, Salem and Devon were all missing. With a sigh, Sahren rose and turned her back to the railing as she walked towards the double glass doors to re enter her room. Upon entering, she closed and locked the doors, but pushed open a large window in their place. She would give it a little while longer before she went out to look for her missing family.

Isabeau lay in the bed, dozing for a long time, a few hours before she just could not do it anymore and she sat up. She slipped off the bed and opened the door, walking out and going into the small kitchen where she got a glass of water. She stood there in silence, still in her clothing and even still wearing her boots. There was a clip in her gun now, but she ignored it for now. So far the vampires had not tried to attack her and so she was not going to attack them, but for some reason she felt an impulse to seek them out. So she left the kitchen and quietly moved around the small underground apartment.

When Michael had made it to the headquarters, he could see his small party of lycans. He wasn't too happy with their reunion after what Felix did, but had smile of relief as he saw that his mission had been completed. Michael nodded to every lycan who looked his way as he headed to a secluded room in the warehouse. He pulled out his cellphone and dialed in a combination of numbers. The rang at least three times before anyone picked up.

"Hello?" A deep voice on the other line said.

"Hey, it's Michael. I want to speak to Belladona." Michael answered.

"I'll put her on." The voice replied. Michael remained as silent as the other side of the line did, waiting patiently for her voice.

"Hello?" A female voice that had had both a beautiful and authoritative sound to it.

"Lady Belladona, this is Michael speaking. I've called to inform you that my mission is finished as of now. I'll be sending you the pictures that me and the scout team have taken."

"Michael, do you ever fail to impress me. If only you're blood weren't tainted. Send those pictures and any useful information to me immediately, and you'll be able to pick off a few of those creatures before I send more of your brothers to aid you. Now get some rest, you'll need it." Belladona replied

"Thank you, and good rest to you too." Michael said before hearing the phone hang up.Michael sent what ever he could from his phone to the main headquarters within a few seconds. He placed his phone back into his pocket and quickly headed to the shower. Most of the lycans didn't care too much about humanly things, but Michael always knew that humans were more than just tools or food. Humans had the unity and technology to do great things, he just didn't like to admit it. The shower was cold, but his deep thoughts and adaptable body kept him from thinking about it too much. It was strange how he felt that he all alone, though he had people he looked upon as his brothers and sisters. Other than his transformation, Michael hasn't found any evidence of why he feels different from the other lycans. After his shower, Michael went to sleep on an old mattress brought in by the pack. Belladona was right, he needed that sleep, because the next night was going to be harder.

Michael could have slept for an eternity, but something woke him from his slumber. He was being shaken by one of his brethren.

"What? What's going on?" Michael asked as he was trying to get himself fully awake. The lycan's face didn't show panic like he had expected to, it showed excitement.

"Boss, you'll never believe this! We just made our first move on those zombies!" The young lycan explained. That was all Michael needed to hear too. He got up, and began to get dressed as the young one filled him in on how they attacked. They were going out for a hunt, but they had mistakenly attacked a vampire instead. The battle was still taking place on the streets, as Michael was informed. Michael geared up and ran out of the warehouse with intense speed. His Colt 1911 in his right, and his gauntlet in his left. He just hoped he could get to his brothers before anything bad happened. He didn't care much, but he didn't want to lose the few guys he had.

He ran full speed towards the tall metal gates planting his feet hard he vaulted into the air barely clearing their spiked tops. He landed in a crouch turning to his left he looked at the stunned vampire guard, "Prince Cedric," the dark haired vamp began to question. Cedric walked up to him without speaking he grabbed the vampire by the throat and threw him against the back wall. He turned as the lycans growled ferociously at the gates clawing hungry for blood. Cedric slammed the open button and ran for the coven house. Behind him the gates opened slowly first one lycan pushed through and then they swarmed in.

Cedric knew he had to act fast he couldn't let Sahren get harmed, he raced up the driveway towards the main doors. "Prince Cedric?!" called one of the guards, Remnir was his name the other Castor both loyals of Liam. Their eyes grew wide when they saw the growling shadows closing in behind him. Cedric turned right as he heard the guards fire towards the lycan horde. As he ran down the side of the coven house he heard the alarm signal, but it was too late. Turning the corner he used the wall climbing up to his bedroom balcony. He raced into his room threw open suitcase from under his bed there were two sleek pistols. He quickly loaded his silver bullet clip from his 970 HK into one and then took his last silver clip in the suitcase and loaded the other. He sheathed them in his back holsters and reloaded his ultraviolet bullets in his HK. He ran out his door as he heard the lycans bust through the main doors, the screams of two guards filled the large main hall. He had to get to Sahren before the lycans did.

As Devon had been half asleep he heard a creaking around the underground bunker he did not think that Salem would be so clumsy so he quietly got up and walked towards the sound of creaking footsteps. Even though Isabeau was a human he still had a spark of interest in her womely form he stood quietly in the door way of the living room, for awhile he just observed her. Salem was sleeping he guessed. "Is there anything you need ma'am" Devon quietly uttered to Isabeau.

The sound of the manor's alarm startled Sahren. The alarm meant only one thing. Lycans. She raced from her room and into the hall, looking left and right. Left seemed like the better option, so Sahren turned quickly on her heel, heading towards the main grand staircase. That is when she found Cedric. He looked nervous and was carrying guns, further confirming her thoughts of the lycan attack.

"Cedric!" the auburn haired beauty exclaimed. "You idiot where have you been? The coven has been so worried! We were sure lycans had got you... it looks like we weren't too far off. What's going on?

Sahren's first impulse was to throw her arms around Cedric and embrace him. However, the squealing of the alarm reminded her that it was neither the time nor place for teary eyed reunion. Lycans were on the property, and a lot of them. She could hear shouting and gunfire coming from downstairs. All the commotion was unsettling.

It was clear that Sahren was better suited for parties than battle. However, she was never unprepared. The many blades concealed by her boots were all laced with pure silver. They weren't as affective as silver bullets, but they did the job. Even Sahren's deceptively small body( as she only stood at 5'4") was made for hunting and killing. She was incredibly nimble and spry, thus being able to outmaneuver most foes. Not to mention her speed and her strength. True she was small, but being a vampire had it's definite advantages. Still, she was no death dealer so her knowledge of battle was not nearly as expansive as most other vampires. For knowledge, she had to rely on her own cunning.

Lycans from the old HQ began arriving in a slow steady stream. With the vampires coven so close, and it still being dark they had to be carefull not to arrose the attention of the vamps. As Levin's door flew open, a daunting familiar figure entered the room. The same higher ranking Lycan who sent him out to join the scouting party entered, his gruff voice carried the same disdain for Levin as it did before.

"We made our first move on one of the bloodsuckers. All able bodied Lycans are to get to the coven house at once. An id has been made on the leaders nephew, prince Cedric." Another familiar face shot by Levin's door towards the exit of the warehhouse.

Knocking the Lycan down, Levin tore out of the room still strapping his sword to his back in pursuit of Michael. Catching up he ran beside the man, "I may need to borrow that gauntlet to remove a pest when we return." Levin said, he tried to sound like he was joking. But the truth was he really didn't want to kill the vampires, and the lycan who was bothering him was making it hard to avoid.

Cedric grabbed Sahren's arm, "Come with me!," he looked down to see the coven's deathdealers race into the room to battle the lycans. He knew he couldnt go down that way so he turned and they raced down the second floor hallway to the other stairway on the opposite side of the palatial mansion. As they ran he turned his head to see two massive lycans barreling down the hallway on the walls. He swung Sahren in front of him and spun around and came down to one knee.

He reached back bringing his two pistols out like wings unfolding, then bringing them forward he fired rapidly. He caught the one on the right square in the forehead, silencing the beast as it fell falling upon itself. The second lycan lept to the opposite wall and lept at him. Landing in front of him the lycan swung its large bloody claws to cleave off Cedric's head but Cedric was faster than the lycan. Cedric lept backward planting his right foot against the wall and vaulted over the lycan's head. When he landed the lycan was on him again this time it slammed its full weight into him sending them both crashing through the wall into one of the bathrooms.

Isabeau paused when she head Devon, turning slowly, not in the least bit surprised that he was standing there and watching her. "Can't sleep." She replied easily, most of it being the truth. She looked at him for a long moment, her dull and flat eyes seeming to stare right through him rather then at him. She felt and saw a few strands of her hair fall into her face and she brushed it away slowly.

"I don't sleep much." She finally added, turning and sitting slowly in a chair.

Sahren opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off. In one fluid motion Cedric had grabbed her arm and pulled her down the hallway. Before she knew it they running through the cavernous halls. Silence was in front of them, the sounds of death behind them. Yes, this way seemed to be the better of the two ways to go.

Suddenly the hallway exploded into motion and sound. Sahren turned her head at the sound of the ripping wallpaper, just as Cedric did. Damn these lycans the beauty thought, instinctively ducking down into a crouch as Cedric put himself between her and the beast.

It came fast, assaulting all of her senses. The scent of death. The scent of blood. There was so much of it around her that even Sahren's superior senses could not make out which side the loss was greater for. She was too overwhelmed by the musty, fowl scent the lycans had while they were transformed. It was almost enough to make the girl gag as the smell washed over her.

Sahren blinked back the nausea, and Cedric was gone. Where he stood there was now rubble and large hole in a bathroom wall. She shook her head, auburn hair swaying with the motion. Her hands moved nimbly into the secret folds of her boots, producing two small throwing knifes when they emerged. She couldn't have pulled them out at a better time, as a lone lycan had spotted her and was making his move down the hall. Sahren threw one knife, and the beast howled in pain as it buried itself inside his chest. He tried to find the source of the pain, the knife was too small to find in all his fur. That's when the second knife hit him in the throat. Her aim wasn't perfect, the blade had gone a little to the right of where she wanted it too, but it was enough to send agony through the beast and drop him to the ground.

The leather boots made no sound as Sahren turned on her heel. She had to reconnect with Cedric as quickly as humanly, or rather, inhumanly, possible.

Leaning against the door way devon replied "neither do i, i mean i used to when i was still human but when i changed i practically stopped sleeping. I have sleep aids if you wish but personally i wouldn't take them, they give me headaches." Devon quietly moved a chair to sit across from Isabeau then continued talking. "So have you ever thought of getting turned into either of the immortal races?" Before devon was done with this last statement he had gotten up and grabbed a bottle of single malt whiskey and poured himself three fingers in a glass, "night cap?"

Isabeau listened to him, waiting till he sat down before she spoke. "I have never really thought about it. I joined Seraphim to get out of foster care and away from the orphanage. I wanted a family structure and they gave it to me. I never questioned their teachings because I never really had need for it." She explained, shrugging her shoulders. She looked at the drink and nodded her head, never really one for drinking but it never really stopped her from taking a drink or two.

"Anyway.. None o the other imortals I killed have ever really stopped long nough to ask. Normally I am attacked on the spot for being in Seraphim."

Cedric recovered just in enough time before the lycan tore his head off with fang, he kicked the beast in the chest sending it back. He rolled backwards and came up the beast lunged at him its claws cleaving through the tall mirror behind him as Cedric dodged to the right, planting his foot on bathtub he lept in the air drawing his silver kukri he dug the blade hilt deep in the lycan's cerebral cortex. The hulking smelly lycan and Cedric collapsed on the floor. The door swung up and Sahren appeared in the doorway. Cedric pulled his blade out and soon the two were moving again. They went down the back stairway and came down into the large library. The two heard screams, roars, and gunfire in every direction.

"We have to get out of here Sahren," he looked into her eyes pulling her away from the horrors that were just outside the door. He handed her the one of his twin pistols, "We make for the garage... We stay together," he said handing her the fine crafted pistol.

"Ah, seraphim has tried many of times to kill me, they seem to not be able to get the job done though," remarked Devon. Devon had finished his glass of whiskey and poured himself another one offering the bottle to Isabeau, "As long as we are awake we mind as well drink." Devon was shocked to realize that the last time that he had heard from anyone in the coven was at the party, usually they at least called to check up on him. There might be something terribly wrong he was not one for suicide though, he would wait half an hour before he would call them besides he thought to himself in half an hour it would be night and he could go help them as needed.

Isabeau nodded her head to him, taking the bottle and taking a deep swig. it stung her throat and caused her eyes to water, but she swallowed three large mouthfuls and put the bottle to the side. She took a deep breath and wiped the tears away, looking back at him. "There are many that they can not kill. That is why they send me after them. The lycan I killed.. he was nearly impossible to kill.." She explained, looking at her arm before pulling up the sleeve and showing her arm and all of the x's that covered it.

"One mark for each hard kill I've had." She explained, looking at the bandage that wrapped the fresh x she had carved into her arm. She then lifted her head to his face, lifting an eyebrow.

"How many humans have you killed exactly?"

Michael sprinted down the dark empty sidewalk, letting his sense of smell lead him. He gripped his gun tighter and tighter as he began to realize that he was heading straight for the coven. Damn, why couldn't they wait for a little bit longer. Michael could hear quick footsteps behind him before he heard a voice. It was Levin. Michael smirked and shook his head when he heard Levin's statement.

"Try not to let things get to you, especially if we're about to see some action." Michael stated before making his way through the gates to the mansion. Michael could hear roars and gunfire, but the gunfire was slowly dying down. The vampires weren't ready for an attack like this, even with the lycans having smaller numbers. Michael wasn't going to shift, not just yet. He rushed through the front doors with inhuman speed. He could see a few of his brethren fighting against deathdealers. The deathdealers tried their best to keep enough distance to fire shots at the lycans, but Michael was going to change that. Michael ran in back of one of his brethren, using his body to shield himself against gunfire. Before his brethren fell to the floor of the mansion, Michael stepped on the lycan's shoulders and launched himself with a leap into the air. With his pistol drawn, he let loose his clip on any vampire in his sight When his special bullets penetrated, it let out a photogenic solution, which gave the bullets the nickname of sunlight clip. When Michael's feet touched the ground, he rolled forward and shifted as he leaped. He opened his arms and caught the necks two vampires in his brutish claw, and slammed them down as he landed. His left hand crushed the vampire's throat due to his gauntlet, while the other remained alive, Michael withdrew the gauntlet from the other vampires throat and stabbed the gauntlet into the live vampire's face. Michael then let out a monstrous roar to show that the alarm was only underestimating the real threat.

This all took place in a matter of a few seconds. The other lycans advanced past Michael as he had cleared the way for them. Michael wasn't very good at leading a tracking team, but killing and hunting suited him perfectly. He was willing to tear apart anything that stood in his way, and his feral eyes showed the same.

Sahren's golden flecked eyes were wide as she met Cedric's eyes. He handed her the gun and she just stared in disbelief. It felt heavy and out of place in her thin fingers. She looked back up at Cedric, meeting his expectant gaze and nodding. The slight bob of her head was the only indication that the girl was paying attention to the words that were spoken to here.

Cedric began to lead the way to the garage. He reached out for her hand to guide her, and Sahren indulged him, lacing her fingers with his.

So this was really happening. Her home was being torn apart yet again by lycans. She hoped that this time her world could be pieced back together, that it wouldn't be as bad or devastating as the last time. Sahren didn't know much about the war, but she knew one thing. She hated it.
