β¦deep, deep at the Earthβs bottomβ¦.
In fifty years, Eden has become the most technologically advanced city in the world. Most people work for FRA Technologies, owned by the Fuji, Reisi, and Aikawa families; and thatβs whether they want to or not. Thirty percent are drafted into special schools to train for the research and development jobs. Twenty percent are in the greenhouses working with agriculture to feed the cityβFRA helped develop the cloning method used on the livestock to produce meat as fast as we can consume it. Ten percent work for Van Gould Construction, always looking for new ways to expand for bigger living quarters and more comfortable lifestyles. Another ten percent are medical professionals or officers of the lawβeither in policing or military. Sixteen percent of us are in the markets, selling homemade, contraband, or illegal items to scrape by. Six percent are political figuresβwe now live in a monarchy, ruled over by Lord Suoh and his family; reign will soon be passed on to Suohβs son, and everyone is just a little nervous of what changes he intends to make. Thenβ¦ the remaining eight percentβ¦ we call them Sweepers. Formally, theyβre called Hunters, which is actually a little bit worse. Itβs their job to keep the street clear of anyβ¦ mutants.
Seven years after Eden was sealed off from the rest of the world, the population skyrocketed. As a result, the developers in the medical field created a contraceptive drug called BLUcycle, an intrauterine birth control that would defertilize eggs as they passed from the fallopian tubes and into the uterus. It needed to be changed once a year, and it took mere minutes to remove and replace. It was required for every woman over the age of thirty, and highly recommended for women over nineteen; because it was so convenient, of course many young women decided to give it a try. Why not? It was virtually risk free. Howeverβ¦ many eggs were tainted by BLUcycle, creating what our society calls βMutantsβ. The medical sector recalled the contraceptive immediately and apologized for the inconvenience, promising to reconfigure the current prototype until they had found something more effective. Some believed them. Others believed that the number of mutants born wasnβt at all coincidental, as many of the children grew to develop offensive powersβperhaps, could the military be influencing the medical sector into creating the beginning of a small army? When this opinion grew in popularity, suddenly the mutants because the bane of Edenβs existence; the Hunters were formed to extinguish them from the city, forcing most of them to hide out in the Downtown, the lowest area in the city, where bits of Neo Tokyo still stand, built upon by Van Gouldβs ever-upward company. Now, a group of resistant mutants have formed, calling themselves KNIGHTS, and are led by a King, who is elected into power every few years. The current King has been elected six times, which is a new record. But maybe it's because he's so effective keeping his people from the Sweepers... and even worse, captured as slaves by the elite looking for sport.

ONE || No power-playing or God-modeling. Do not control other peoplesβ characters within your own posts unless you are given permission.
TWO || All posts must be two paragraphs or moreβthis is a semi-literate to literate RP. Proper English must be used with few exceptions; proper spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and grammar will be watched with minor errors waived. If I notice that there are consistent errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization, you will be warned. After the third warning, you will be removed. If English is not your first language, Iβll be more lenient but thereβs no reason why you canβt ask for help from another member or use an internet spell checker at least. To expand on the language rule, no excessive swearing in the OOC; it sounds rude and childish and I donβt want to look at itβIC is fine.
THREE || There is a character skeleton provided. Please use it exactly as it is laid out. Fonts MAY be changed; sizes may be changed as long as they are relevant to the original. Do not use it on your own RP without my permission. I worked hard on it and I most certainly didnβt do so just to have it stolen.
FOUR || All characters must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
FIVE || Love is not only allowed, but encouraged. Homosexuality is also encouraged, to enhance the drool factor.
SIX || Be adventurous and step outside your comfort zones. I do look at peoplesβ past characters and role-playing to see if they would be a good fit; I donβt want to see repeats of the same thing over and over. Experiment with different ethnicities, art styles, names, genders, sexualities. I appreciate a little creativity contributed into my RPs.
SEVEN || Anime pictures only please. Itβs not that hard to find them. If you need help, check out Zerochan.net or ask some of the other players for other sources. Please be informed that my character skeleton requires four pictures of the same character, unless s/he is a shape-shifter or a master of disguise; this will depend, however, on the theme of the RP.
EIGHT || No fighting in the OOC. If you have a personal beef with someone, keep it personal; thatβs what PMs are for. Other than that, have as much fun as possible!
NINE || All violators of these rules will be shot. Survivors will be shot again.
TEN || Rule of Cool: If it's awesome and it makes the story even better, it's allowed. This means that you can dual-wield chainsaw swords while surfing on the hood of a Lamborghini Diablo as you fight a giant kraken in the lost city of Atlantis, so long as it moves the story forward and isn't outright power-playing bullcrap.

Morning
Yuuβs Bedroom
It wasnβt so much that I was scared, I guessβ¦ I felt physically exerted, like Iβd run a marathon. My chest was heaving, my throat seared as my lungs screamed for oxygen, and all I could to was close my eyes and fall back into my goose-feather pillows. The dream began to replay itself in my head, over and over as I analyzed it for some kind of meaning. There was none. I pulled my blanket up over my head, almost as if trying to shield myself from the images, to no avail. So I laid there for another half hour, wondering where Kaede was before I finally peeked out to look at the holographic screen of the alarm clock on my bedside table. Oh. Iβd slept in again. Kaede had let me sleep inβ¦. I rolled out of bed quickly, almost afraid that either the sweepers had come to revoke my ownership, or someone had found out what I was and came to take us both away.
In my closet was a full-length mirror. I stared into it, at the large red mark on the side of my face and neck. Some days I was absolutely mesmerized by how beautiful it was when it seemed to glow like coals in the fireplace. Othersβ¦ I wanted to break the mirror and pretend that this heinous thing didnβt exist. It just depended. Today, I was indifferent. I stripped out of my pajamas and stood, stark naked, in front of the mirror as I applied layer upon layer of foundation over top of it. For minor blemishes, this was good enough for one layer. It was amazing stuff when you wanted to diminish the look of acne, lines, scars, or wrinkles. In my situationβ¦ not as much. A whole bottle was painted on every day, just to make sure that it was completely concealed. I waited for each layer to dry before I applied the next, watching blankly as it slowly disappeared. And when I was doneβ¦ I just looked like any other personβ¦ with pink hair and golden eyes. I sighed heavily and dressed in a pair of black slacks and a white button-down, leaving the top two buttons undone. I wasnβt dressing to impress, so what was the point? When I finally made it to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and ran a comb through my ratβs nest of hair. A simple routine, similar to just about anyone elseβs. Except that as I carried on, I could distinctly hear the different sounds of certain people passing by my room, and most of them I recognized by name. Maids. Mother and Father. Hidekazu. Finally, when I was finished, I flopped down on my bed and crawled back under the covers, ready for my mid-morning nap.
And that was that. Once I was in bed, I did not want to get out.
Morning
Kitchen/Yuu's Bedroom
Anyway, after I wake up, take my shower and get dressed I have to wake Prince Yuu up so he can take his shower and get dressed. It isnβt an easy task at all and after about half an hour of attempting to wake him from his slumber I decided I may as well use the time to prepare him breakfast. Normally, Iβd leave that to the chefs as I began to tidy up the Princeβs room and make his bed and put away whatever he left out from the night before. All things I couldnβt do since he was still sleeping and not following the routine that was set up for a reason β to keep order and chaos to a minimum. But, things happen and I was left with nothing to do but to cook for him if nothing else and to please him into a good mood I made sure to add two botamochi alongside the hotcakes and sakura green tea that Iβd prepared. For myself Iβd just made a smoothie so I could drink it as I went about whatever work I was told to do and I gathered everything onto a tray with a small bowl of fruit salad and three different toppings and whipped cream for the hotcakes. The tray closed a lid over the steaming food to keep the heat in and I nodded at the chefs as I left for Yuuβs room; thinking heβd be up by that point.
I wasnβt surprised to see him in bed again when the door slid open and I sighed to myself as I set the tray down on his side table. βPrince Yuukimasa, itβs almost eleven. You have to get up,β I muttered as I shook his shoulder. I could tell heβd gotten up already considering that he was fully dressed but the fact that he was back in bed didnβt surprise me. Two years was long enough to learn that he was incredibly lazy and incredibly against getting out of bed no matter what or who told him to. I sometimes wonder if a fire would be enough to drag him from the plush blankets and pillows. My own bed was a twin mattress with regular sheets and a regular pillow β no need to spoil the slave and get him too used to the posh lifestyle. I understand why they would do such a thing and Iβm not going to complain because I have a roof over my head and well-tailored clothes on my back.
I left him on his bed for the moment to move to the window and I tapped the glass to bring up the menu that allowed for the window controls. They were tinted all the way to block out the sun and I dragged the bar all the way to the side to clear them up and let the synthesized sunlight in. I was always impressed with the holographic sky but I canβt lie, it would be nice to see what the real one looked like around this time of day. βPrince Yuukimasa, you must wake up now.β I was becoming a little frustrated but I couldnβt let it get the best of me or Iβd say something stupid and end up being reprimanded. Not exactly something I ever look forward to.
Morning
Yuuβs Bedroom
I removed the pillow from over my head and pushed myself up, gathering my knees up under my body. βFood.β I reached for the tray, scooping both Botamochi in one fell swoop, retreating back under my blankets to get warm again. The comforter was thick and effectively blocked out the fabricated sunlight while I nibbled away at the lovely little rice balls coated with sweet azuki bean paste. βTheyβre good, Kaede. Youβve outdone yourself. You know I love you right? Well now you do.β There was no way I was getting out of bed for him though. At least not until I was finished my Botamochi, and then Iβd need my tea to wash it all down with. But with the way I savoured every special, delicious little bite, that might be a while. It gave me a chance to ponder upon what sorts of things I had to do today, even though it wasnβt my job to memorize my schedule. It gave me something to do when there was nothing else, though, so I began to list things off in my head. Tonight was dinner with the head of the Senate, so Iβd need to go to the mall and buy myself a new outfit, just because I had the money for it. Plus, I needed my hair trimmed, I had to drop a book off at the library for Mother, and while I was out Iβd probably stop for fast food just to flirt with all the ladies and keep up appearances. Then, an hour before dinner, Iβd have to return to the suite, bathe, reapply my cover-up, have my hair done again, have my nails trimmed and polished, change into my new outfit, and then flirt with Victoria the entire meal because thatβs what I do.
All in all, it sounded like quite a decent day. To me, anyway. I only remembered the things I was interested in and left everything else to Kaede because I didnβt want to think about it. Besides that, any day was a good day as long as I didnβt have any lessons, though with Fatherβs health slowly declining, Iβd been pushed into studies before my coronation. People seemed to think it wasnβt that far off. But I didnβt want to think about that either. Despite being born a mutant, my father still cared about me as far as I could tell. Heβd never given me a reason to believe otherwiseβ¦ except for hiding all my little imperfections from the city. He was probably ashamed of them. Iβd been over that again and again in my head, and there was no way around it. If he were proud, he would have publically presented me without painting me with make-up. When I was younger there were times where heβd make me wear a wig so I fit in a little more, but I couldnβt keep it on because it was too hot and itchy and things that are hot and itchy never go well with impulsive children. But that was okay, because heβd loved me enough to give me his crown. In the scheme of thingsβ¦ that was really all that mattered.
βSo, whatβs up for today, Kae?β I asked, reaching out for my tea with a small window to see from underneath my covers so I wouldnβt spill a single precious drop.
Morning
Yuu's Bedroom
I turned to look at the prince over my shoulder when he spoke up and blinked a few times at his confession. A joke, I knew, but hearing it was shocking nonetheless considering how important those three words were to so many people. If I was so easily affected by words Iβd have taken him seriously but I know that heβs hardly ever serious with anything he says in such contexts. One would think so many years in Iβd be used to his advances but it never becomes normal dealing with someone who does such things. I just donβt understand it. I donβt understand why he thinks itβs necessary to act such a way towards me considering I have never, not once, replied in any kind of positive way. It also has to do with his heterosexuality and the fact that I am most obviously male and this fact wasnβt hidden when I was first brought in. Iβd had to go through a physical examination to make sure that I was in good health and then I was showered and dressed before being officially tagged under Prince Yuukimasaβs watchful eye. In the beginning it had seemed like he was trying to get on my good side and Iβd assumed he was trying to submit me to his mattress and to this day I still have a lingering thought, that it is the case. One day I almost expect him to snap and demand that I strip down and let him do what he wants to me and then find that there isnβt any use for me anymore. It wouldnβt be surprising since I do somewhat expect it to happen anyway. βThank you, my Lord.β Of course it was in reply to his compliments on my food more than the fake admission that heβd so carelessly tossed my way out of whatever thought process he had going on in his head.
Eventually I had to leave the window and its view to pick up the clothes that heβd left on the floor and fold them neatly before putting them in the laundry bag. Folding them first seemed silly but it lessened the chances of wrinkles and then made it also made it easier to take out of the bag when it came to washing. Making work easier meant it could be done more efficiently and I watched my master reach out from under his blanket cocoon to pick up his tea. Could he get much lazier? I knew the answer without having to think about it. βYou have to meet with your father after your breakfast; he wishes to know how your studies are going. Then thereβs the book your mother wants you to return to the library for her. You have a haircut at one after which you can eat lunch or shop or whatever it is you do with your free time. The head of the Senate will be here at seven so it would be beneficial to be home by five oβclock so that you can be prepared and dressed for the dinner. I was told to invite you to a tea with Victoria tonight at ten but Iβm rather sure she has other motives,β I listed off easily as I fiddled with the bracelet around my left wrist. I knew that if I tried to take it off it would zap me, nothing painful, more like a static-electric shock that was more annoying than anything else.
I had to be careful with my own personal comments though β I could get myself into trouble voicing my opinion about my superiors. And everyone was a superior when I was shackled the way I was.
Morning
Lower Part of the City Eden
"Bastard, where the hell do you think you're going!" Rei yelled at the top of her lungs after finding out that the person at the table to her left was a Mutant, as she had guessed. She was simply eating peacefully, as she always would, at her favorite restaurant, which really wasn't anything special, and found one of the people sitting by to be a little... well... strange, you could say.
She immediately leapt off her table and began her sprint in the lower city of Eden, where people would smoke, sit on the road, and had not very much money, in her eyes. The chase began just then when the other Mutant sprinted away after realizing he had been caught, and not just caught by a regular human, but a sweeper. It was obviously this man was scared out of his mind, and looked like he had no thoughts on dying or getting caught just yet. Unfortunately for him, Rei wasn't thinking the same thing.
The Mutant continued running, shoving people away into the large sewage to his right, although only one fell in, and took a sharp turn into a dark alley way. He was stupid to go that way rather than hurdling the wall that was right ahead. Rei wasn't flexible enough to jump walls or hop over things. The only thing that helped her catch a target was her aiming skills and sprinting skills, and luckily both could be used in her current situation, which she took advantage of. Lucky this man had shoved everyone out of the way, leaving Rei a straight path towards her prey.
After getting past the groups of people, it was just a simple straight and narrow road down a dark and bleak alley. A few times the Mutant had continuously looked back to see if she was getting closer, or lost her along the way. As expected, he didn't know anything about Rei, which only explained why she was so close to him now. After a minute more of trying to lose his way in the crowds and then diving, once more, into another alley, Rei had pinned him down like a cat and mouse.
Without any signs of hesitation, Rei took out her gun, loaded it and aimed it at the man's head, who was now shaking and screaming, and actually looked like he was about to cry. But none of that bothered Rei. In some manner, she was a heartless woman since she only saw Mutants as killing machines, or monsters, "Tried to out run me?" She asked, speaking in a very calm manner though she sounded much scarier, "That didn't work too well, now did it? What, are you going to try and use your super powers or something on me now?" Her expression turned a little annoyed for a moment.
"No M-Miss! I-I'm sorry! W-Whatever I did!" The man shouted, trying to back up by Rei stopped him by bringing her foot down, hard, onto his stomach. He coughed and gagged and had the urge to roll over and grip his stomach, but Rei did no such thing to allow him to do so. After catching his breath, he pleaded for mercy that she'd make an exception to let him live.
Rei wasn't the type of woman, or sweeper, to let her prey just run loose and let them go after seeing their goggly eyes, but she did have one more thing to ask before she were to take any sort of action, "Oi, answer this question and maybe I'll consider it, yeah?" Her voice still had a dark tone to it though she looked completely calm, "Anna Shima, recognize the woman's name?" She asked, taking out a smoke from her pocket and lighting a minute later, breathing a cloud of fog into his face, "Don't make me wait, punk." She said impatiently.
"N-No! No, I don't!" The man answered. Even though he did, Rei leaned in close, studying the look on his face. For a little while, she still had a very content look on her face, as if she wasn't bothered by anything at all, but a moment later, she stood up, removing her foot from his stomach, making his squabble backwards and away from her, only to find one of her pistols aimed directly at his head.
"Is that so?"
Morning
Yuuβs Bedroom
...anyway, the groan basically meant I wanted to avoid my schedule if at all possible.
I rolled myself out of bed after replacing an empty teacup, sitting on the edge of the memory foam mattress to pick at what remained of my breakfast. βIt probably looks worse on paper. What you can say in seconds can cover an entire page,β I informed him, matter-of-factly, picking up a whole pancake, stuffing it with fruit and whipped cream, then folding it over to eat it like a breakfast taco. For a moment I was completely silent, watching Kaede go about his business, tracing all the curves of his face with my eyes. Every line, every angle, every shadow and highlight. I was staring. Not, wide-eyed, practically drooling, type staring. My eyes were slightly narrowed, the faintest of smiles touching my lips. One day, I would ascend to the throne. When I did, I would dissolve the Huntersβ faction, imprison anyone found even suspicious of murder to any other person, human or mutant, and I would give Kaede the option of going on and having his own life. Keeping slaves would no longer be legal. I closed my eyes, held in a deep breath, and tried to imagine that world. I could almost taste freedom.
Maybe that was just my breakfast thoughβ¦. βThis is good. Better than usual. Who made this? He deserves a raise or something. A promotion to my personal chef. Yes. Thatβs exactly it.β
Morning
Downtown
βLieutenant Colonel Oshin, Iβm putting you in charge of Third Patrol today. Please relinquish your weapon.β
The voice shocked me from my dance with euphoria and I snapped upright. βAhβ¦ Sir. Yes, siββ Oh Hell no. βExcuse me, do what now?β
The General frowned, his eyebrows just barely coming together. βI said, relinquish your weapon.β
βYouβre not seriously putting me on Third Patrol.β
βI am.β
I pouted for a moment, but eventually I gave in. There was no point in disobeying a direct order from a superior officer, and so my handgun was exchanged for a Taser that could barely stun a rat. It was so I didnβt kill anyone, because theyβd noted in the past when I was put on Thirdβ¦ that I seemed to have a lot of accidentsβ¦ casualties. And there was always an excuse. When we sweep, we sweep in teams of six, five soldiers and one officer. For each sector of a district, there is one squad of eighteen patrolling for up to twelve hours. I ended up that day in the B Sector of the Downtown District. This was always known to be a mutant-heavy location, and when they wanted something done down here, they usually sent me. Butβ¦ not for Third Patrol. I felt like I was being punished for something that I didnβt deserve to be punished for. To explain further, the three Patrols serve three different purposes: First sweeps to kill; Second sweeps to sell; Third sweeps for research. Basically, if we werenβt killing them, we sold them to rich families as pets or slaves, or we sent them into testing facilities so that a certainβ¦ friend of mine could have his sick and twisted way with them. Not only did being on Third mean that I couldnβt kill anyone, but it also meant that at the end of the day, I would have to see him, and I usually avoided that at all costs.
Morning
Yuuβs Bedroom
There was a moment of relief when he finally sat up and I felt free to move from my post and begin on straightening out the bed as best as I could while he still sat there. The logic was that if I did what I could while he was there Iβd only have to fix the little mess that was up around where he was sitting. Iβd get some work done and then finish it off quickly without having to wait for further instruction. While I worked though I could feel him looking at me and it sent shivers down my spine; and not the good ones. As awkward as I felt I knew I couldnβt just turn and leave the room unless he gave me permission since he was awake and I couldnβt call him out on it either. So I simply ignored it and went about taking the cases off the pillows so that I could put fresh ones on before he went to bed as I was instructed. New pillow cases every night and new sheets and blankets once a week; so that the laundry didnβt get too clogged up. It was easy to follow the instructions Iβd received from the first day I was here and they made for an easy day. I knew exactly how everyday would start and how it would finish and then Iβd go to bed only to do it all over again; a sense of security. Outside these walls and beyond my shackle was a world full of variables and I was in a world of constants. No wonder people found so much comfort in being in a rut day in and day out. They only barely had to worry about something throwing off the routine that they were stuck in.
I straightened up when he began commenting on the food and anyone else would have spoken up and taken credit for it. It was no use though because I couldnβt get a raise in my current position. It was more than enough to know that heβd enjoyed it though and I allowed myself a little smile before nodding. βIβll make sure to report that to the kitchens for you, my Lord.β I was everything and anything that Prince Yuuukimasa needed me to beβ¦ other than a bought and used sex doll. Iβd die before being demeaned in such a way. βWould you like me to iron an outfit for you or are you comfortable already?β I asked as I neatened out the bare pillows. Theyβd be covered before he went to bed. βShould I let your father know what time to expect you?β
Time of Day:: Morning
Location: Downtown Eden
"No please! I'll give you anything you want! Just stop!! His target had basically begged, after Akira had killed all the other bodyguards that were supposed to protect him. Akira had easily sneaked his way to the bodyguard circle, after...well he got rid of one. The others soon died by his hand, and honestly, he loved the feeling of blood on his hands and arms. He enjoyed the screams of pain they let out as he killed them slowly, in front of the real target.
He tapped the gun on his shoulder thoughtfully, as if he was thinking about the term "mercy". He watch the man almost relax. His body had relaxed itself when he looked at Akira's thoughtful face...though that faded, when Akira bent down on one knee and smiled at him. Akira's emerald eyes boring into the man's brown. "I'll let you go...if you play a game with me." he said simply, as another grin played on his face. "I'll shoot you somewhere, and you can't scream. The person who hired me...wanted to make sure you died in a most painful I could think off."
Without any warning, Akira pulled the trigger on the man's foot. His hand shot out and covered the victim's mouth, muffling the scream. "Now, now...No screaming alright? You wouldn't want to wake up people..." He said, a psychotic grin playing on his lips. This game continued for one hour, as Akira shot him anywhere he could, along with snapping his legs. The man of course, had passed out in pain after about every 10 minutes, but Akira dumped water on him to wake him up. Giving a smile, he touched the man's bloody, broken legs. In a moment, he was lit on fire. Akira had laughed when the man started to muffle his screams of pain as he felt the fire eat him.
Akira of course, burned the corpse to ashes, and took whatever he needed from the victim's stuff. Things like money mainly, and supplies. He shook his head to clear away the memory. Yet another memory he felt nothing for. As he walked, his mutations allowed him to read people's mind. they were all miserable thoughts of suicide, and things related to death. After all, who would want to live in this part of a Paradise? Only the strong survived down here. As he walked, he felt himself get pushed aside.
He blinked in surprise, as he watch the man who pushed him almost had him falling in the sewer, which would have been nasty. But then saw the reason why he had ran and pushed. A sweeper woman rushed past him, and with his ability, he could tell there was only murdering intent on the woman's mind. A frown played on his lips. He would go to help him...but he didn't feel like going crazy again.
The mutant drew in a sigh...yep...just another day in this screwed up world.
Time of Day: Morning
Victoria's Suit
Rays of drearily artificial βsunshineβ filtered through the crevices those stainless steel blinds created, itβs presence bringing about discontent in the utmost unpleasant manner. Why the displeasure one may inquire? After all, the privileged girl was considered to be very fortunate to be graced with such a sight.. but then again, no one would be content with those invasive beams attacking oneβs eyes constantly. Narrowing her blackened orbs into smaller slits, an annoyed sigh escaped the elite girlβs body as a tapered hand journeyed further south before those doll-esque fingers tightly clutched at the crimson silk. Fluidly yanking the duvet above her head, crimson consuming scarlet, Victoria murmured distastefully. βI hate morningsβ¦β before she found herself slowly being consumed once more by sleep. However, that blissful transition was brutally slaughtered as the bustle of maids echoed through the suit, each one flustering about their assigned job. Hearing the bath water being drawn, Victoria released a small moan of reluctant protest before tossing the covers away, the βGood morning, Miss Victoriaβ honestly not registering in her awakening state. Instead, the idol was more preoccupied by the shuffling and swaying of her feet, the bathroom being the prized destination.
No sooner than two hours following her disrupted trance, Victoria was out of the rose-scented water and into clothes one could wear acceptably about in society. Sending her mocha-hued gaze downwards, the idol gave a quick smoothing motion against the ruffled black skirt as her thoughts began to drift...not even once caring about the softly thistled brush being ran through her fiery waterfall or the makeup that was being artistically applied to her porcelain features. I wonderβ¦..do Mother and Father still want me to possess a mutant slave? Surely they wouldnβt force me.. after all, Lisanna was...Nevermind. Stop concerning your thoughts, Victoria. Itβll only cause complications later on today.. whispered the chastising voice, completely ignoring the schedule one human maid was oh-so dutifully parroting back. With a half smile painting itβs way delicately unto those gardenia-hued lips, the heiress stood from the vanity to cross through the adjoined threshold; the dining room.
With a feline-esque grace, the idol slid into the designated spot, that apprehensive stare quickly flickering over to the other two empty spots. They must be working again.. mused the unimpressed thoughts, her attention now more focused on the steaming china cup placed in front of her. Peering down into the Earl Grayβs inky surface, Victoria refinedly lifted the saucer and vassal to chest level, a delicate finger slipping through the handle. Gently inhaling the scent, the young woman allowed for a soft, almost nonexistent, stream of air to flow from between her parted lips before initiating a refined sip.

Yuuβs Bedroom | King Suohβs Library
In my curiosity, Iβd once wandered into Downtown; Iβd heard people talk about it and I wanted to see if what everyone said was true. I was just newly turned twenty, off on my own for the first time without a valet, which is very dangerous for someone who isnβt well liked below Working Class level. I donβt knowβ¦ people are wary of me, not certain what to expect, because I havenβt been making myself known in society, simplyβ¦ keeping to myself. I used to have people go out and buy fabric to make my clothes, and then I discovered a fashion sense and now thereβs nothing anyone can do to get me into something my tailor made for me, except his suits. He makes an exceptional three-piece suit. Anyway. I was in Downtown for little more than an hour before I realised how heavily mutant populated it was. I couldnβt believe that people were actually living in these conditions, and when I asked someone why, I was laughed at. They didnβt choose to live there. Of course not. They were forced to. And even as they were cramming into the confines of a filthy street, breathing in noxious sewer gases, the Hunters were busy doing a sweep at that moment. I ran because I knew what I was, and out of fear that I might be killed I turned into a complete coward and ran. I didnβt stand up for them. I didnβt do what I thought was right. I ran for self-preservation, and I never went back. But I chided myself on that for yearsβwhat if I had done something back then? Maybe things wouldnβt be this bad? No, of course they would. It would always be like this, until either the Sweepers or the Mutants were gone.
Kaede and Iβ¦ all the mutants who work for my familyβ¦ I think weβre lucky. I think weβre very lucky, and I used to take that for granted.
βNo, itβs fine. Iβm just going to go see him right now, βkay? Donβt get into any trouble, or Iβll have to punish you, and Iβm sure you really donβt want to have to make the bed again, do you?β My voice was sing-song as I practically skipped out of the room and into two maids, who I apologized profusely to, helping them right stacks of tilting laundry. They just greeted me with smiles and asked me not to worry about it, so I gave them each a pat on the shoulder and went on my way.
Fatherβs library was at the very top of the suite, covered by a glass dome. I liked to come up here at sunset with Kaede some evenings when it was quiet, just after my bath when I was swaddled up in my plush robe, still nice and warm. It was amazing, the technology that was put into the sky. Every night the sunset was different. Every day, the clouds were different, the temperature and humidityβ¦. Eden really was like a little world all its own. Sometimes I wondered about what was beyond the holographic sky, but it was only in passing. I was happy just staying right where I was. Fatherβ¦ maybe he was a different story. He hardly ever left his library unless it was for meals, and generally my mother was right at his side. This early in the morning I suspected she might still be with her maids, dressing and such, so it didnβt surprise me to see Father sitting at his desk all alone.

His voice made me freeze in my tracks. I wasnβt afraid of himβ¦. I was justβ¦ he made me nervous. That was all. He made me nervous. βYes sir? My studies, right? I think Iβm doing well, but thatβs something youβd have to talk to my tutor about because heβsββ
βNo.β His eyes were the same molten gold as mine were, and they met for just a moment before I lowered my head, feeling so small under that steely gaze. I didnβt dare speak again; my throat felt like it was closing off and it was hard to breathe. βItβs coming time for me to make a decision, whether Iβd like to die on the throne or pass the crown to my heir and live the rest of my life stress-free. Of course, your mother pushes for the latterβ¦ I have no doubt in my mind that you are nowhere near ready to take up rule. I am quite protective of everything Iβve worked hard to build up, and I will not have done all that work for nothing.β
βYouβre going to take Hide as your heir instead.β
βDid I say that? I just want to make sure that I can trust you to do what youβre supposed to.β
I really didnβt want to hear what was coming next.
βI want you to get rid of that mutant.β
Morning
Yuuβs Bedroom/The Shopping District
The more permanent kind of termination.
As he left the room I watched him with disbelief because I wondered if heβd ever grow bored of his empty teasing; of course I didnβt think he would. It seemed to be a part of his nature and something that Iβd have to deal with until such a time that he found himself someone to give his affections to. Maybe a nice little girlfriend or boyfriend or whatever he was actually into because he left me confused about it. In time I was sure it would come to the day that he had to marry and produce an heir but such a day, I felt, wasnβt soon to come. In any case, I finished fixing the bed and exchanged casual morning conversation with the maids bringing in fresh laundry. One of them handed me a bun and I smiled in thanks before I left; phone tucked safely in my back pocket so I could be contacted. I didnβt have anything else to do and since I wasnβt required by my master I took the liberty to head over to the shopping district. I know that it seems a little null and void for someone who doesnβt make any money to go to a place where money is a necessity but it was fun to do to waste time. It was always nice to walk about the district and see all the things that were available to those that had the money and brought back the fonder memories of days I spent with my mother. Sheβd bring me here often to get me new clothes or a new toy or something when I required one or when Iβd done something to make her proud. Trips with my father were a little rarer but whenever they happened heβd buy me lunch and then talk about how it was to work in the sector that saved peopleβs lives. I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger β just because it seemed to do so much good.
It didnβt take long to walk to the district and by the time I got there it was alive with the buzzing of customers going to and fro like bees in a hive. It was comfortable and freeing and much more private than being in the Suoh suite surrounded by listening ears. I could be anyone here and I liked that about being here. With the sleeve of my button-down pulled over the tag on my wrist because the chances of sweepers coming here to look for mutants were slim; not gone but slim. From the years Iβd been on the run I knew that most of us always ended up hiding out in the filth of downtown living in fear that the next day would be the last day. Grim existences lived in those people and I was one of the lucky ones β had I just been in the wrong place at the wrong time Iβd have been brought in for experimenting or killed. Regardless, there I was looking in windows and at people as they walked by with a smile on my face and an appreciation for the freedom of being able to do such a thing. I couldnβt buy anything even if I liked it but it was worth it to be able to people watch; which was always fun when I also heard snippets of their conversations.
βKaede?β
I paused, the voice was recognizable but just barely and I was about to continue walking thinking it was just some old childhood friend when a beating drum hit me like a wall. It was soft and steady and fleeting almost and my heart began to stutter along with it until it smoothed out. βKaeβ¦.β I tightened my hands into fists within my pockets and steeled myself against the flurry of memories and turned to face the one whoβd called out to me. My eyes looked back at myself and flitted from feature to feature as if trying to believe that it was really who heβd asked for. It was tough to wait for him but eventually he broke out into a smile and reached forward to pull me into a hug that smelled like aftershave and lavender.

Downtown Eden
Usually, Rei would, but she had a small problem. She just used up her last bullet on his shoulder, and had none left. Now there is more than one way to kill a man without a gun, but Rei didn't really feel like going slow today since she still had that bowl of soup waiting for her at the restaurant. Was food more important than killing the mutants to her? Well, they were around the same level of importance.
While she walked out of the alley way, she saw that there were some people staring. The bystanders had just seen a woman chase a man aggressively, and only see the woman come back with screams echoing from the darkened area. She took the smoke out of her mouth and breathed outwards, waving off the black cloud, "What the hell are you staring at?" Rei asked with a straight face before all the people quickly hurried away to do their own business, not wanting to mess with her in her current mood.
"That's what I thought..." She rolled her eyes and began to head back to the same restaurant, 'I wonder if I should report this to Oshin... Meh. That's too much work. He'll probably die later on when another sweeper finds him, or maybe his wound will get infected? I'd like to know.' Rei shrugged, imagining anything possible, and things that weren't possible. She was like a child, thinking of things that can't happen or exist, but unlike a child, her imagination only dealt with violence, and not happy things. All the happy things were completely vanished.
Along the path to the restaurant though, she spotted a suspicious person in the corner of her eye. It was a man older than her, but he starred for a while and made a sigh while most others would just walk by. Rei didn't bother to stop, but she did see his actions and took it into thought. Rei would always make a standard for her since she now lived in a new world; Anyone in Eden can be a mutant, and so you are unable to trust anyone and only suspect everyone. That was the standard and code she lived by since she had no interest in dying or being a no one just yet.
'Whatever.' Rei thought to herself, blowing out another puff of smoke into the air that was already contaminated and dirty as it was, 'I'll hear of any irrational moves by anyone quickly.' Besides, she was still hungry, "All that running is such a pain..." She murmured to herself before taking a seat at the same old table, and at the same restaurant, like always.
As thought, her food was cold, since there was no more steam rising from the bowl of soup she didn't even get half way through, "Ahh... this is a pain in the ass!" Rei yelled, "If that guy just didn't have to be one of them I could have eaten!" She said frustratedly.
Putting aside Rei's problem, it was odd how she had just shot a person in the shoulder and threatened to kill him and yet she could still go and have a meal normally. She didn't feel any sadness or regret about her actions, which allowed her to still be her usual sarcastic and loud self rather than a serious hunter. Honestly, she didn't like that side of her too much, but after hearing from her father of her mother's death, she had a feeling that it was necessary to take on the job and get rid of every single one of the inhumane people in the city of Eden. Selfish? Yeah, it really was in the end, but then again, Rei was considered to be a cruel woman after all.

Downtown | Dr. Orlov's Lab
Those were dangerous thoughts. I tried to shake them forcibly from my head, reacting quickly to a shout to my left as the best kind of distraction that could possibly be provided. One of my men had wrenched a womanβs arm behind her back and forced her to the ground. Coming closer, I noticed with a frown that the woman had rather common black-brown hair, and then as she looked up along my legs, across my body and finally at my face, startling pure white eyes. I recoiled. βItβs hideous. Good find, keep looking.β Binding the womanβs arms behind her back, I kept a close eye on her for the next hour, and then a few more as my men made good on their work. At the end of the street, weβd come up with three.
βLetβs take these wretches to the doctor.β
I forced them at taser-point toward the train systems followed by one of my more trusted men, and from there it was a straight shot to the Government Medical Research Facility, guarded by military personnel twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. I scowled the whole way there, enough that the guards stepped out of the way without pressing me for identification. Just inside, I gave one of the slower mutants a good shove to make her walk faster (I wanted out of there as fast as possible, of course), which caused her to topple to the ground where she curled in on herself. Swiftly, my boot found her ribs as my anger mounted. My man took the others ahead. I would deal with this one. βOn your feet, useless piece of shit!β When she didnβt move, I kicked her hard again. Over and over, until sheβd managed to force herself to stand just to escape my wrath. A few steps and she stumbled to the sides, her arms wrapped protectively around her mid-section. She looked sickly. I thought for a moment, and the idea that she might be with child actually fueled my rage; a gloved hand found its way into her hair, her head was forced to meet the wall more than once, until she bled. βWalk!β It went this way until weβd reached Dr. Akim Orlovβs lab, and when the door slid open, I threw her bloodied body down on the floor. It was okay if she bled here. I didnβt mind that so much.
βThere you go, Orlov. And I think itβs a female, too. Have at it, you twisted old crow.β
To say that I was well-acquainted with Akim Orlovβ¦. Well. That would be an understatement.

Medical Research Facility
βD-Doctor, theyβre saying guest forty-seven is giving signs of seizure.β
βSeizure?β
βYes.β
Interesting, but not as interesting as the red on her face when she handed me my mug and I smiled down at her pleasantly. βYou turn any more red and Iβll think youβre trying to seduce me with your innocence,β I murmured softly. Her shoulders jolted and I grew bored with teasing her β the reactions were much too predictable unlike my best friend and favourite hunter. βGet out so I can change and tell them to give that guest something. I donβt need him choking on his own spit before I can take notes.β I waved my hand at her as I sipped from my mug; vanilla flavoured vodka touched my tongue and brightened my day. The day before it had been blueberry and before that someone had brought me cherry flavoured. It was nice to get those kinds of surprises first thing in the morning and Iβd be a little bit more lenient towards people as long as they were lenient towards my expectations of them. I was preparing for a new shipment of guests and I was hoping that the rooms for them had been cleaned of their old tenantsβ stories. Itβs best to make them feel as comfortable as possible before bringing about the tests because then they get this sense of comfort and are less likely to pull any tricks when we bring them down. A trick yes, but no one ever said anything about doing it for their benefit at all. I could really care less about making them comfortable but some people still have issues with treating living things like dirt. Strange people and their strange little ideals; so much like the old head honcho who used to work around here. Rest him in whichever patients got his organs. His death was completely coincidental to my being hired.
Just as Iβd managed to get dressed I heard an announcement over the intercom that the hunters were coming and I made my way to the front desk to greet them; very much hoping she would be there. Of courseβ¦ with her comes a battered and abused guest that is completely useless to me until we spend money and time nursing them back to full health. Annoying. I managed to walk into the main section of my lab just as the main doors opened and shut and I stared with disbelief at the bloodied body that was dropped to the floor. βOf courseβ¦. Not once can you respect my profession you trigger happy thug!β I snapped at someone and gestured to the body in signal that they should put it somewhere so it wouldnβt continue to run red all over my pristine floor. βToyo, I always love seeing you but bringing me half dead subjects doesnβt help me at all,β I muttered tiredly as I slipped on my glasses. βOne day surprise me by not being a bitch to my work and maybe Iβll use my strings to get you something nice.β I stepped over the blood pool and hoped someone would clean it soon and looked down at the hunter with a smile before kissing the top of her head; for fun. βNow, howβs that baby girl of yours? Still doing good in school?β I wandered off as I asked to find someone to tell me about that seizure patient. I needed to know what was up with that.
Noon
Downtown
I still hold a grudge about that. If I ever see that guy again, Iβll introduce his face to his prostate; then Iβll tell him he should be okay for the next few hours and leave him like that. Lucky for him I havenβt seen him again. Maybe heβs dead. That would be a little sad, seeing as I havenβt had revenge yet.
What am I complaining for? I have a genius child who does her homework without my help and makes meals for me. Iβm not saying I use her as a slave; actually, on occasion I let her relax and watch TV while I make dinner. These are the days that I bolt the door to the frame because Akim Orlov is never to see me in an apron ever, lest I scoop his eyeballs from his head with a melon baller and super glue them to his ass cheeks. One each. Then Iβll tie his wrists to his ankles and draw a smiley on him with permanent markerβ¦. That would be really awkward-looking. Either way, Iβd then send him home like that. No! Iβll lock him on my balcony where all the other residents can see while he struggles to find a way back inside; because thereβs a two hundred foot drop from my balcony to the streets of Downtown. Actually, we can see the entrance to the Lab Facility from my balcony, and I suspect thatβs part of the reason why Akim comes over for dinner so often. He lives at the facility, probably because heβs too stupid to get an apartment close by. That or heβs so infatuated with his work that he canβt leave shit alone long enough to actually relax. Funny enough, that sounds a lot like Tsutsumi, which makes me wonder if my child actually wasnβt swapped out for one of Akimβs science experiments. This concerns me to no end.
I scowled darkly as his lips touched the top of my head, and with my hands fisted, I began to shake. Not only that, but walking away after asking me a direct question! This was why I brought him half-dead mutantsβhe deserved it. I remember the first time I met him, in that very lab. I was fresh from training, just beginning a final initiation course where I had the chance to learn all the ropes, including wrangling live sacrifices for research. That first time, I had been attacked by a man that I had to subdue by force, leaving him a broken, bloody mess. He was still alive, so we took him into the lab where I was introduced to the Head Scientist at the time; I remember that Akim was just a tagalong back then. It wasnβt until about five years later that I actually spoke to him. My first few years as a Private, it wasnβt my job to talk to anyoneβI just did what I was told and left. Of course, from the beginning Iβd been bringing my victims in war torn and most of them even dead. I brought the captives in for the day, dumped them on the floor and was about to leave when I saw him again for the first time in a long while. Covered head-to-toe in blood, telling me how unfortunate it was that his boss had just died. I had gained in experience, skill, and rank, so I was a little more comfortable staying for a little chat. When I examined him, I could respect that he was an intelligent man, if not a little messy. So no, I didnβt always hate his guts. It wasnβt until after Iβd actually talked to him three or four times that I decided that he wasnβt the kind of person that most people choose to keep around without some kind of incentive.
βTsutsumi? Actually, sheβs the top of herβ Hey! Donβt you walk away from me like that!β I chased him down. Why? Because I can. And when I caught him, I grabbed him by the lab coat and implanted my fist in the side of his face. No oneβand I mean no oneβ treats me like Iβm invisible.

He was much more pleasant than his blood thirsty compadres. He introduced himself, asked how things were going, apologized for his brutes actions and then went on to talk about his baby girl and beautiful wife. For a while he made idle chitchat with me while the old man flustered about trying to keep everyone out of his work. If there was one thing we were all against, it was the military gaining notes we didnβt want them to have on the advances weβd made in our knowledge of mutant abilities. Talking with him was interesting enough and how he spoke about Toyo didnβt accurately fit with what I saw of her when she dropped off subjects. They were like two different people but I said nothing on the matter and simply listened to him as he spoke ever so happily about his life at home. That was the day that heβd stayed behind after the brute force left and the old man told me heβd be coming around a lot more often. A volunteer to accept mutant DNA transfer. I think that was when I actually, truly came to appreciate him and the lengths he was willing to go to for his own work. Over that year before his death Iβd gotten to known him and somehow heβd gotten to me regardless of how hard I tried to keep my shit private. I suppose you could say weβd become friends over the time that he was with us and I did come to miss him when the experiment went severely wrong. Iβve never been able to come open with it to Toyo but she wasnβt supposed to know that he was in hijinks with the Research Facility.
Speaking of Toyoβ¦ I know all about the rumours that go about concerning my relationship with huntress extraordinaire Harada Toyotomi. Whether or not theyβre true is completely irrelevant to the fact that Shinsen asked me a favour right before the unfortunate moment of his death. Theyβre also irrelevant to the fact that sheβs the most interesting person I know and I like that about her. βCan someone please bring me the surveillance on that fucking seizure patient? Iβm fucking blind right now!β I called out. I sensed that Toyo was chasing me down and when there was a tug on my coat I half expected the retaliation and I lifted a hand to grab onto his wrist just as it had finished connecting with my cheekbone. βThat was a good one. Fuck, that hurt you know. Itβs going to swell up now.β I pulled her closer and smiled ever so happily despite how much my face was hurting. βYou should be more careful in a lab full of expensive equipment, you break it youβll have to replace it,β I chided before I placed my lips by her ear and rested my free hand against her hips in threat of either bringing her closer or pushing her further away. βIf youβre going to get so physical with me you should wait until there arenβt so many people aroundβ¦. Unless youβre into that kind of thing.β I tightened my grip against her hip just slightly and grinned just a little bit. βIβm sure the people around here wouldnβt mind something to keep their mind off the gruesome work,β I whispered, just for her. That was when I let her go and stepped back, accepting the clipboard that was handed to me along with a tablet.
βYou and your crusade can go now. Iβve got actual work to do and someone might be dying. Do svidaniya, krasivyye.β I winked at her before rushing off in a flurry β to find ice and my mug. Fuck, my face hurt.

I wanted to call him to complain about what my father had said, because he was obliged to listen. But I didnβt. I thought, Iβll call him from the library. So I waited, shuffling about on the train and when we reached the library, I returned the book, flirted with a few girls to keep up appearances, and then looked back at my phone. Why was I hesitating? It took a long moment of thought, processing all the possibilities in my head, swilling them like bitter wine to check for colour, clarity, and consistency before it occurred to me. I just didnβt want to admit that I felt like Iβd lost something just now. I was stuck between the figurative rock and hard place, and I was actually disappointed in some of the things going on in my head. Like, acknowledging that I would have to get rid of Kaede to fulfill my dream. But what kind of empty, miserable future would that produce? Ifβ¦ if I didβ¦. The Sweepers wouldβ¦. No. I couldnβt even stand to think of what could happen. But the facts were in black and white. Heβd either be rehomed, used for science, or killed; none of those were at all satisfactory trade-off for me getting my dreams.
After a lengthy internal debate, I decided to send him a text, simply stating that I wanted to meet him for lunch at my favourite cafΓ©. Just being with him, I knew, would provide significant calm for the whirlwind going on in my head. Of course, when I lowered my phone and looked up, there was Kaede standing on the side of the street with another man wrapped right around him. I didnβt see the other manβs face, but if I had I wouldβve known. Iβm actually not sure what happened, if the snapping in my ears was the sound of my heart breaking, but it definitely proved to me that I could never let Kaede go. I never wanted to see him with another man. So I stood there, holding my cellphone, a hint of hurt in my eyes.
Morning/Noon
Downtown Eden
"Why are you running away from me?" He asked the poor exhausted and extremely terrified man. He approached the man closer as he tries to back away further and further from him. The man named Kazeya Miyamoto spoke next to the terrified man's ear. "You worth nothing anymore." He whispered and the man quickly shivered up. The silver haired boy grabbed the man's head and lifted him up. The man kept on trying to escape the grip, attempting to pull away from the mad man's hands. With a small whisper and a mad laughter that follows, the terrified man no longer had a head.
The body dropped and continued to spew blood all over the area. Kazeya's black shirt with white stripes were stained with an incredible amount of blood and his face even more. His hands were painted with the color red and as he brought his hands up, he licked the red liquid. "Thanks for the meal, Ooyama. I hope you have a nice trip down in Hell." Not long later, after he left the scene, the police had arrived. They didn't have to run DNA experiments and any of the sort. They all knew who did this and without any hesitation, they all muttered the same word under their breath. "Kazeya."
It was already noon and he had nothing to do. He had been sleeping in his apartment for a few hours now and there seemed to be nothing left for him to do until someone else comes and find him for his job. Tugging into his jacket, he went out for a small walk. Incidentally, no one in the neighborhood knew who he was. They only know him as Alex Fujishima, a young man who works part-time in an small office.
"Sigh... I wonder who'll be next to 'employ' me? I hope it's someone with a lot of people to kill. That'll be great and since I'll be working for him for a while, I won't have worry about my next 'employer' for a while." But, just as he thought his day could get any better, someone of the description had came to find him. "I need to you kill a few people for me. I'll pay you for each target killed. Leave none alive."
"Could my day get any better?"Kazeya was extremely happy. The list he has now will take him about a month to finish. That means a month of blood and more blood. After that, he can kill his 'employer' and enjoy that man's screams. "Oh, how can't I wait for that to happen!" He thought to himself. Just right around the corner he turned in an alleyway, he spotted his first target with his suitcase.
He was overjoyed. After getting 'employed' by a man with many grudges, he already found his first target. The target walked into the alleyway, unknown to the fact that an assassin was out to kill him.
[Gonna skip as it'll be tiresome to describe everything]
The man he had killed lost his arms and legs. A hole in the heart could be seen and again, like his previous killings, pools of blood were splattered everywhere. The dead businessman died with horror in his eyes and with the injuries he had, anyone would puke. Anyone except for Kazeya, the one who did this to the poor man. "Thanks for the meal," Was the only sentence he had to say and the mad laughter that follows after makes him extremely creepy. This time, however, he miraculously managed to avoid his jacket from getting stained with blood, albeit his hands was coated in the same red from before.

βI missed you too.β I didnβt know how I could manage to come clean to him about what had happened since I ran away at fifteen, eleven years ago. I was sure my mother had painted as ugly a picture as possible and that he was just revelling in the fact that his boy was still alive. Perhaps soon the shock would wear off and heβd realise that I was just another of the spreading cancer in Eden and try and finish me off for my mother. The earlier thought that he was just happy to see me dissolved like sugar in water and my heartbeat kicked up into a foxtrot again. βIβm sorryβ¦. I didnβt want either of you to know,β I muttered and he held on tighter. In a moment I thought, maybe it wouldnβt be so bad if my father strangled me to death because at least then it was someone I knew. I wouldnβt have to risk it being someone Iβd never seen before whose face would be unrecognizable when they put a bullet in my face. I could leave with all of the good memories associated with the face weathered by time and work. Eventually though he loosened his grip and he kissed the top of my head like he used to when I was younger and I couldnβt help but smile. I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket but I was much more content in the warmth of a familiar but unfamiliar hug.
I knew it was a bad idea to not respond immediately but I didnβt care at the time, who would?
βYou should come home.β
βI canβt.β
βYour mother leftβ¦ when I didnβt agree with her.β
βDadβ¦ Iβ¦. Iβm so sorry.β
βIt isnβt your fault. Youβre this way because of government fuck ups. You can be normal β no one has to know.β
I moved his hands from around me and stepped back. I wanted to; I wanted to go home and sleep in my bed and look out my window and know that I was safe there. But I was already known as a casualty and I had to convince him somehow that I could never go home again β I could never be normal again. Pulling in a deep breath, I gripped onto the left sleeve of my shirt and clenched my hand into a fist before I tugged it up to reveal the shackle to him. For a moment he was silent and then with shaking hands he took hold of mine and lifted it up closer so he could see the gold band etched with the name of an owner. His eyes; the ones heβd shared with me; were indescribable as he examined it and eventually he shut them and his shoulders dropped with recognition. βI canβt go home. They know what I am now, Dad. Once they take this off I donβt know whatβll happen to me,β I said, softly but seriously as I took my hand back and covered the band once again. He nodded, slowly, and took something from his pocket which I soon realised was the wallet Iβd bought for him before Iβd been forced to leave home. For a moment I had no idea what he was doing until he pulled a photo out of it and pressed it to my hand. βDad I-β
βTake it. I need you to have something so you know that Iβm always here. Always.β I couldnβt cry. I couldnβtβ¦ I couldnβt. βAlso!β He lifted my hand with the photo and took a pen from his coat and wrote on the back of it before letting go. βMy number,β he stated. I wanted to argue with him but from the look in his eyes I knew it wouldnβt get me anywhere and instead I just stepped closer and pressed my forehead to his shoulder so that heβd hug me again. I didnβt know when Iβd see him again and I wanted to remember how it felt to be embraced by someone who would never turn against me. By someone who loved me. βYou be careful,β he whispered in my ear and I nodded. That was when I heard someone mention that the Prince was in the area and I lifted my head to see if he was over my dadβs shoulder and then to the sideβ¦. From where I was I couldnβt properly see his face but more and more people were stopping to bow their heads in respect and I panicked. βKae!β I rushed out an apology as I kept my gaze trained on Prince Yuukimasa and eventually he caught on and glanced to where I was looking; his mood changed instantly. He placed a hand on my shoulder, gripped tightly, pulled a little to kiss my forehead and then walked off and watching his backβ¦ it hurt more than anything had before. I shook my head to clear it and stuffed the photo into my back pocket without looking at it just yet; made my way to my Master with my head low.
I was prepared for whatever he was ready to do.

Re: DarK PinK SKY
Seiji is moving soon and won't have internet for an undetermined amount of time and thus won't be posting. Not that anyone else is. That's okay, that kind of shit always happens on here unless with people you really trust. So, don't worry about posting anymore. No point.
Okay.
Bye.

@All: Okay, I'm going to have to ask people to start making some character interactions, otherwise this thing is a dead duck.

If that is allowed, I'll try to make another Sweeper with histories connected to Kazeya's and try to work it all out myself. However, if not, I'll still make another Sweeper but I can come up with ideas, no problem. Just gonna leave Kazeya be until someone decides to answer me.
