Introduction
The continent of Noan-Zian is peaceful. It hasn’t always been so, but for now, at least, it is calm. It has been this way for at least a century, but that is no guarantee that things will last this way. In fact, the world is starting to shift, and no one knows the cause. They just know it has something to do with magic.
Magic is enabled by the mana given off by the six crystals around Noan-Zian. The types of Mana are; Lux, Terra, Pyro, Nix, Ventus, and Aqua. They form the elemental trios of Lux, Pyro and Ventus and Nix, Terra, and Aqua. Mages, when they first start, can only use spells in one element. Some never get past this, but the best of mages are able to learn spells of one or even two other elements from their triangle. The best of these best are apprenticed to the Archmages, mages who are able to use all six elements. There is one Archmage from each element, six in all, and they are universally respected as old and wise. These Archmages chose who will become their apprentice, and, when the time comes, pass down their powerful artifact to their apprentice, allowing the apprentice to utilize all 6 elements, and making him or her the newest Archmage. But these events aren’t seen as important to many people, seeing as most just want to live a normal life. And in these times, that isn’t too hard.
Unless, of course, you are a mercenary. Artur Normand leads a band of mercenaries called the Red Wolves, one of the few out there. The peace has made the army-for-hire business a little slow, but the group has been able to get by through hunting bandits and settling countryside squabbles. The group actually keeps growing, because for the first time in a century, the rumbles of disorder are starting again. Bandits have become more common. The weather has been acting strange. And, to top it off, Lor and Altyre, the two biggest cities on the continent, have begun to have arguments. What will happen next is anyone’s guess, but Artur and his band hope to be ready for it.
Remington Plains- Perhaps the term “plains” is a bit of a misnomer. The plains, while having quite a bit of flat land, are scattered with lone mountains wreathed in green. The plains produce enough crops and cattle for everyone on Noan-Zian. Much of the grain goes state to the major cities, but some also goes to Remington to be traded and sold to minor traders who sell it to the small towns around Noan-Zian.
The Aqua Lands- The lands in and around Dalnas are called the Aqua Lands for a good reason. The high concentration of Aqua mana causes storms to develop there on a weekly to daily basis. Showers are more common than sun, and strong thunderstorms aren’t all that rare either. Winter can bring snows and blizzards. The storms get blown over the Remington Plains, giving the crops there the necessary water to grow. Outside of being a major city and a gathering of Aqua mana, Dalnas is a major port, sending out and receiving shipping and cargo from all over the world.
The Lands of Light- The lands around Lor and the Lux Crystal are perpetually lit. As strange as it sounds, even when the sun is down, it is as bright as day. This is very disorienting to first time visitors (and even some residents) as it is very hard to tell what time of day it is. The perpetual light does allow for what the city has become known for; scholars and writers. For obvious reasons, the light makes reading and writing a much easier and all day task. The cities army is also well trained and disciplined, taking advantage of their perpetual day to work especially hard.
The Dark Lands- The lands around Altyre and the Nix Crystal are the exact opposite of those around Lor. It is always night there, with the stars in view at all times, and the moon visible when it would be night. It is also perpetually cold, both due to the lack of light and the fact that it is the southernmost point on Noan-Zian. Snow is common all seasons, although they usually will have light flurries as opposed to the snows and blizzards of Dalnas in winter. While such a bleak land might not seem to be very desirable place to live, it is still one of the largest cities on Noan-Zian, due mostly to the Nix Crystal, but also because of the large pine forests nearby. It is the biggest producer of pine wood on Noan-Zian, and the center of some of the bests carpenters and carvers out there.
The Great Desert – Far from the Aqua Lands, the Great Desert is a giant desolation and sun. Only a few creatures are able to survive the harsh environment of the desert. The only humans outside the city of Gestal to live in this desert are wandering nomads, moving from oasis to oasis. The desert is dotted with rock spires and other windblown forms, with the occasional rocky crag jutting up from the ground. Gestal is the only city in the desert wastes, and the best way to arrive there is by sea. Those who live there are mostly nomads who have settled down to trade with both the outside world and those who still wander the desert.
The Lux crystal is located in Lor, the City of Light.
The Pyro crystal’s location is unknown.
The Ventus Crystal is located on the Remington Plains.
The Nix Crystal is located in Altyre, the City of Darkness.
The Terra Crystal’s location is unknown.
The Aqua Crystal is located in Dalnas, the City of Water.
For magic to be used, it needs to be vocalized. There is always some form of chant that is said that allows for a spell to be cast or magic to be used. One must retain their concentration while reciting the chant for the spell to be cast. Stronger spells need longer chants. Better spellcasters barely need chants to use their most basic spells. Many Archmages have mastered many spells so well that they hardly need to say anything to use those spells. Of course, that has much more to do with their age and experience than it does with their Archmage status. Anyone can get good enough to cast spells with short chants with enough practice. Also, one does not need to be a mage to use magic, although most people are unable to do magic at all. A rare few people are able magic in conjunction with other skills, such as swordsmanship, archery, crafting, and more. However, they still need to say a chant to use spells, and as such, frontline fighters often use weaker spells with the shortest possible chanting time. And, since they are not mages by trade, they are limited to only one element.
The main group is a bunch of mercenaries under the command of my character. It can be as large as needed, with a mix of all sorts, from soldiers to mages to healers to archers. The youngest archmage is part of the group, having just been given his artifact from his master, the former Pyro archmage who died after giving it to him. You may also play as those who are currently not a part of the group, but get mixed up with them or join them (I will start with a recruiting stop in Remington) . I don’t really want people to play as the archmages, but you are more than welcome to have one of the apprentices. The archmage with the group needs to be over the age of 19 but under 26, seeing as he was an apprentice who became an archmage within the last year. Oh yeah, and for the Red Wolves, I need a second-in-command. Anyone who wants the position should tell me.

The mage turned his head when he heard someone walk up to him. It was Artea, the thief who got a little too cocky when trying to steal what little coins he had. In response to her comment about the money, Nick just said "If I could conjure up gold in an instant, I definitely would. Especially if it means getting you off my back. Do you have a preference to steal from mages?" There wasn't any hostility in that question, just perfectly normal cynicism.
“Err... yeah. I've been meaning to ask you, because a lot of people told me 'bout it. Do you occasionally incinerate someone? You know, as a hobby? Or do you just like the sound of the; 'Don't annoy me, or I'll incinerate you.' line?”
"Nah, it's just something to keep bandits and other people from bothering me. Never actually had to roast anyone so far, since nobody's too keen on calling a pyromancer's bluff." Nicholas chuckled to himself before carrying on. "For the most part, I just travel around, gathering information. Of course, that all changed once bandit attacks increased and I couldn't risk travelling alone. I'll credit you with enough intelligence to figure out the rest." By the time he had finished speaking, there was a calm smile on the mage's face as he continued to watch the fight.

“That all sounds really, really sad,” Bianca finally stated, looking on as the battle raged, but looking at Ferma in a different light. “As much as I’m unable to empathize with her, I can see where she’s coming from now.” She sighed before she said this next sentence. “I suppose it’s just an impossibility for the two of us to ever become friends.”
The magical girl crossed her arms after verbalizing that thought, the idea irking her just a bit. The whole situation was just plain depressing, and as hard as she tried, she couldn’t really make herself stop thinking about it. She gave it a few moments before she replied again.
“Y’know, maybe someone should tell her that being born into luxury isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be,” She said. “I know I’m not like her, out here for my family or for my survival or anything like that. But I did come out here to gain something I’ve been missing ever since I can remember, kinda like her. Sorta. It's something my parents and my life of luxury couldn’t give me.” She put her finger to her chin. “I can’t quite put my finger on what that is, though. I just felt like I needed to get outta my parents’ house if I wanted to get it.”
The little girl paused for a moment to gather her thoughts before going on. “Now that I’m out here, I do feel a little more satisfied, I suppose. But I also feel like whatever it was that I needed, I still need it. I keep saying what I’m looking for is adventure, and that’s partially true. Heck, maybe it is true. I’m not really sure. To be honest, though, I don’t think that’s entirely what I’m after. I feel like it’s…something else. Something more important, y’know?”
She sighed. “My apologies. I’m talking your ear off. And you probably dun wanna hear it. I dunno why I just went off like that. I'm not even in your mercenary group. Sheesh...” She put on a bit of a pouty face and turned back to the fight.

Quickly dragging her lance in front of her, she whipped it into the ground, colliding with the weapon and using it to brace her. Pirouetting off the lance like a springboard, she whipped back into an offensive stance facing Neil, the advantage lost the moment he retook his weapon. She hadn’t given enough credit to his skills without his lance.
Surprise betrayed her expression as he had closed the gap, pushing a counterbreak as he began his own offensive, Ferma giving another cry of alarm as she instinctively pulled her lance into a vertical position to block the slice, using both hands to hold it in place. It wasn’t usually her forte to take the brunt of such force and it showed as she staggered back slightly, another precision thrust coming at Ferma as she stumbled back out of the way, regaining her balance as it came past her face.
As another blow came in low and fast, she was forced once again to bring her weapon to block, realising a second too late what Neil was attempting to do. He’d adapted so quickly, and it was such a precise manoeuvre it caught Ferma completely in the open as he locked her lance up and out of the way. She wasn’t however, about to let him take her weapon without a fight. Thrusting it up and forward, her lance flew skyward, breaking from the lock and her grip, the force sending Neil’s lance upwards as well, but no doubt he was maintaining a much more secure grip.
Leaping, she took hold of Neil’s lance, hoisting herself upwards and bounding off his shoulder, somersaulting a couple of times before untucking as she caught her lance midflight. Not wanting to give Neil further opportunity to pressure her on her landing, she quickly began reciting a Terra spell.
“Stone wall!” From the ground, a somewhat large chunk of earth rose up where Ferma was about to land, the lithe warrior pivoting and propelling herself off the wall like a springboard, quickly reorienting herself towards Neil with a flying lance lunge…
"Take This!"

Lindell listened to little Bianca speak. Despite her immaturities, she was still a bit of an intellectual, and it was cute to see her stumbling over such complicated concepts and attempting to make the best of them. With genuine understanding, Lin responded to Bianca’s prattling, not at all disturbed by her talkative nature.
“I think I know exactly how you feel. All the money in the world can’t compare to some things…” Lindell looked to the sky, almost longingly as she wistfully dreamt of another time and place. She contemplated it for a time before turning back to Bianca.
“I’m fairly certain what you’ve been looking for is your freedom. And certainly, no price can be placed on that…” She wasn’t sure if Bianca had heard her as she turned back towards the fight, the battle seeming to be rapidly heading towards an intense climax. Sooner or later one of them would land a decisive blow to finish things off…

Eventually the two made their way to the sparring grounds, where it appeared the two lancers were still settling their issues. Which was strange, as he'd been gone quite a while. That either spoke of their skill, or just the fact that they had a lot to get out of their systems. He turned to Barryn. "Thank you for all your kindness and generosity, but I must rejoin the rest of my group. There's still a bit I need to talk to them about." He waited for Barryn to reply, then joined the group around the sparring field where the lancers battled. He ended up standing near Bianca, Lindell, Artea and Nicholas, where he waited patiently for a chance to join a conversation.

Artea gave Nicholas a joking prod in the side with her left index finger. “Don't worry, I got your back. If our enemies don't lure me in with gold that is.” The Vice Captain playfully stuck out her tongue, turning her head back towards the fight. It seemed it would come to an end, bummer. Now it was to wait for either spear-wielders to lose.

“But, you joined the Red Wolves so you could travel safely? Then you are quite weak for a mage, I think.”
Nicholas just shrugged off that rather stinging comment before replying. "I can take on a dozen bandits at once, and I've had to do that before, just so you know. But since they've been increasing in number, how long would it be until I get overrun by them if I travel alone? I know I'm powerful but I'm not invincible, so that's why I joined your group. If you don't want me here then I guess I could always leave, or would you get lonely without me?" He leaned on his staff, smiling at her as if they'd only just had a conversation about the weather or something.
Suddenly some guy in a set of robes came up to join them. "If you wanna know who won, it's still being decided," Nick said to him.

So she was a terra, likelihood she was only a single focus, like him. Well, a Ventus would make his plan a lot more difficult, so that was good. He had to close the gap again fast. He didn't want to build up a sweat first. Alright... he thought he had it. He went back to circling slowly... slowly...
Now. He lept forward overextending his right arm, feigning like he was protecting his left side where he was hit, he lunged. Ferma took it and dashed in behind his lance and going to his back. Niel knew there was only two options, to target his left side by walking into him, but from their earlier strike she should know he was stronger and find that risky staying in front of him. Instead she had taken the correct move, taking advantage of her speed and trying to go to his backside and get out. Except he had baited this. He spun from his thrust to his left raising his left hand to catch her lance on the back of his heavy plated steel glove to deflect her lance away. Then he quickly brought up his lance up quickly to make use of the fact that she had told him earlier.
The lances lock.
He locked their lances together the way she had done so earlier, locking them together, unless she didn't want to lose her lance. Because to get her lance free she would have had to jump backwards, but right there was the second part of his strategy. To get out of his range, she would have had to jump right into or in front of a tent. Throuought the battle, Niel had been slowly backing up toward the tents to try to get into a situation that would make Ferma's speed less of a factor.
Wasting no time while the lances were locked Niel yelled into Ferma's face to try to stun her from moving or to have her shake up, or all in all to disrupt her thought process.
"WATER! MY SHIMMERING BLADE!"
With that, the droplets of juice that were still on Niel's face from when Ferma flung the fruit at him rose and dashed toward Ferma, aiming for her eyes. If it hit, it should be a victory.

As Ferma put her plan into motion, the cries of warning from Lin fell on deaf ears, the farmer having bitten off more than she could chew as Neil put his plan into motion. The deft block with his gauntlet was a risky manoeuvre, but one that proved advantageous as he began locking down each of Ferma’s options, keeping her lance restrained, and her movements limited. Taking a glance behind her to survey her surroundings, Ferma cursed silently before that brief lapse and the complete suddenness that Neil’s next move took crippled the lancer girl even further.
Crying out in pain and alarm, the cheap shot stung at her eyes and forced her to close them. Perhaps, had she retained her sight she would have recovered from the disadvantageous position, but as things stood, the odds were simply well out of her favour. She didn’t want to have to do this, but she was not going to let this upstart beat her, even if it was a sparring exercise.
Beginning to recite the most powerful of spells in her arsenal, a sharp male voice interrupted her midspeech.
“Ferma! That’s enough! Revealing such a technique in a sparring exercise is utter foolishness.” Stepping onto the sparring arena was a middle aged male, cold blue eyes masked behind his short brown hair. His robe was an ornate and deep blue lined with gold, and it was clear from the way he carried himself that he himself was a mage.
Adjusting his glasses as he continued to look on in disdain, he spoke. “You’ve clearly lost this battle. You are a disgrace to the Blade Wings.”
Ferma flinched at the words, cautiously retrieving her lance from Neil as she wiped her eyes, still in a bit of pain, as was evidenced by her tears. She didn’t respond to Reyarch, but instead kept her head low, as if accepting what he had said. Lindell was the first to react to the situation, stepping forward.
“Rey, that was uncalled for - Ferma put up a good fight.”
As Rey cast a glare over everyone, many of the crowd watching backed off, heading back to work, Reyarch finally narrowing his eyes as he spotted Lin and her company.
“I believe I told you to call me Reyarch. And you, Lindell. I imagine you were the one who orchestrated this charade? Introducing others, especially combatants into the compound is unnecessarily putting the entire encampment at risk.” The scorn and derision in his voice was palpable, but Lindell took it with a grain of salt, chuckling a little and smirking.
“And I thought I told you to call me Lin, Rey? Come now, we’ve got guests, and Korin already approved everything, even this little friendly match here. You’ve got a problem, you should take it up with him rather than acting like a sour puss and making everyone feel uncomfortable.” Hands on her hips, Rey continued to glare a moment before swiftly turning, muttering to himself about being surrounded by imbeciles.
As he passed Ferma he paused, addressing her once more.
“No matter what Lindell may say, your efforts were inadequate. You’re unfit to be a Blade Wing.” His words ruthlessly cutting into her, he made his way away from the scene as Ferma slowly stood, approaching Neil.
“I’m sorry for what I said. It was a good match, and you are the superior lancer.” Head still downcast, Ferma bowed tersely. “I’m going to retire for the evening. Thank you for this opportunity…” Ferma mumbled to Neil as she turned to leave, heading towards her tent. Reyarch was right. She had to be better than this.
“I’m sorry about Rey, all of you. He’s a bit of a stick in the mud to everyone, so don’t take it personally.” Lindell apologised on behalf of the mage, giving a quick bow. “I’ll have to go and speak to him sorry. If you’ll all excuse me.”
Waving as she began jogging in the direction Reyarch had left, Lin was barely managing to contain her anger at him. Just what the hell was he thinking doing that in front of everyone? Bratty as Ferma was, that was completely uncalled for.
Hurrying across the grounds, she had more than a few words to say to that man.

“I’m fairly certain what you’ve been looking for is your freedom. And certainly, no price can be placed on that…”
It was too bad that by the time Bianca noticed Lin had said something, the battle reached its peak. She went to ask Lin what she said, but got distracted by the flurry of action occurring in front of her. And by the time it was all over, all she could really think about was how mean the man who shouted at all his friends was. How could he say such terrible things about his fellow mercenaries? His words even cut into Bianca a bit, the edge on them sharp enough to cause the magical girl to shiver. It reminded her so much of her father whenever she did something wrong. The thought really put her off.
“Hey, wait, Lin!” Bianca shouted, reaching her hand out after the archer apologized for her colleagues behaviour and ran off. But it was too late. The well endowed mercenary was off like a woman on a mission, hurrying after her aforementioned target. The little girl sighed and bowed her head before turning to her own group.
“...I’m tired,” She stated tersely, stretching and yawning. “And I’m already sick of this day. I just want it to end. I’m going to sleep. Hopefully these folks gave me, the pretty magical princess, my own room. I deserve it after all I’ve put up with.” And with that, she headed off in the direction of her tent.

Artea couldn't help but smile a tad from Nicholas's words. “I would soooo.... miss you. If you are gone, who'd protect weak, little, me from those, aweful ban-dits!” She rested her hands on either side of her hip, and sighed deeply. The female thief tried her best to act all dramatic, which worked out fairly well to be honest. No, she wouldn't need any help when it came to portection. She was capable enough to protect herself, and other I guess. “Aaaaaand...” The Vice Captain started. “Wouldn't want to miss the chance of snathcing your money pouch, again. So, don't leave now. I barely got to know you...”
She gave Nicholas a soft, meaningless wink before turning her attention back to the fight, which had reached it's peak. Neil seemed to be winning, which was good. Though the little spear girl, Ferma ddin't seem to give up that easily. Just as the girl was about to perform some kind of magic,
So, after a barrage of flaming, lecturing, but mostly silence. People started walking away from the scene. Lindell, the red-haired archer, left the grounds to follow after this... Rey guy. Not long after that Bianca walked away, wanting to get a good night's rest. Which wasn't such a bad idea, now that Artea thought about it. But, before she went to bed herself... “Shame this almighty guy stopped the fight. It was turning kind of interesting.” The Vice Captain yawned. Stretching her arms in the air. “Yep, I guess I'll get some rest as well. Big day tomorrow. 'Night everyone!” With one last yawn, Artea turned herself away from the group. Finding her tent, and eventually, falling asleep once inside...

As Artur left the tent, he made the rounds to get all his people up. He wanted them to move out as soon as possible. He told each tent with his men, "Come on, time to get up. We are off in half an hour." In the mean time, he tied his stuff to one of the horse's saddles and took the opportunity to look at the maps one last time.

As fast as she could, Artea pulled on her clothing, strapped her belongings on her belt, and made a run for it. She had to be the first one there, Vice Captain stuff, you wouldn't understand. While sprinting towards Artur, the female thief had managed to; Not trip over any random rocks, as well as strap her bandana on her head. Multitasking was such a welcoming ability, and it were situations like these where you needed it most. When she spotted her leader, Artea could see that the man had already been busy packing the horses, as well as reaching out for a few papers. Possibly maps, as that made the most sense. “Mornin' Art! Ehm... Artea reporting for duty...?” She said, managing a faint playful tone as she tried to catch her breath from that early morning parkour. As soon as the Vice Captain had collected herself, she stepped behind Artur, trying her best to see what it was the man had in his hands. “May I see what you got there...?” She said, looking over his shoulders to spot a few maps in his hands.

Accompanied by Reyarch as he ventured towards the makeshift ‘kitchen’, Barryn was already well on the way to preparing food for the troops, and an initial inspection around the camp revealed guard duty had gone off without a hitch. Having expected some sort of retaliation from the local bandits after what Artur had mentioned of dealing with their group, perhaps the local ruffians were finally exhausted? Either that or they’d learnt their lesson and migrated elsewhere…
As shouts from the leader of the Red Wolves were heard, Korin noted the various mercenaries preparing themselves to leave, with admirable dedication. They were fine soldiers in their own right. He would gladly have had any of them for his own company – Not that he was the kind to try and poach potential recruits from other guilds.
“I’ll be glad once they’re out of my sight.” Reyarch commented to Korin, still quite bitter at the company.
“Come now, Rey. No harm was done, and they were pleasant guests to entertain.” Korin looked to his tactical advisor. Even the commander’s stoic nature paled in comparison to Rey’s stark bluntness.
“Quite the contrary. I estimate that approximately 4 hours would have been lost in manpower used to prepare the spare tents, along with the time to dismantle and return them to storage.” Opening his book, the mage flicked through the pages, refreshing his memory on bits and pieces from his inquiry as he spoke.
“Furthermore, numerous costs would have been involved in the food we wasted on those gluttons…” Reyarch continued to appraise the scenario, drawing a sigh from Korin. Even outside of battle, Rey continued to analyse the situation for the best possible outcome. His lack of social concerns was always a bit disconcerting though… If a little humorous.
“If you’re certain my friend. But don’t overlook the morale benefits gained, and the possibility of working with them in future to mutual benefit.” Korin attempted to defend his decision, not that he was too concerned with the opinion of his advisor. The ‘Hmmph’ from Rey indicated he wasn’t too appreciative of Korin’s views either.
Speaking to a number of his men, Korin arranged for them to bring his guests some of Barryn’s food before they departed, and had specifically requested items they could take with them if they should not wish to stay for the morning meal. There were even a number of spare food supplies for them to take on their journey, as Korin was a generous man in some aspects.
Elsewhere, the racket from Artur was slowly rousing Ferma and Lindell, who headed off to the shower stalls to freshen up for the day. Normally they were up before the majority of the troops, wanting to make use of the facilities before them for obvious reasons. Normally the two would chatter about all kinds of things, but for today, Ferma was unusually quiet. Lin decided she would have to speak with her again at a more convenient time as the farmer girl quickly hurried on her way…

Well, there was nothing for him to apologize over and he really didn't have anything to do anymore for the night, so he was relieved as Artur announced his intention to head off to bed. Niel quickly followed his example and said his farewells to everyone with a smile on his face once more. Whatever happened that day, it would probably be over by the time the sun rose again.
But, much to Niel's chagrin he was up before the sun was the next morning. Artur came into his sleeping area, saying it was half hour and they were meeting up. Couldn't blame the man if he thought Niel would cause any more trouble. Niel did seem to have that nasty habit.
He rolled over and sat up. Muttered a few words and glanced at a bowl of water he kept by his bed. The water floated up and out of the bowl, and splashed him in the face, in an attempt to actually wake him up. The water withdrew itself and flew down to its spot in the bowl as Niel cursed, getting up off of his cot and opening his pack. Time to get ready for the day.
Soon, he was up and packed and finishing his routine, double checking his packs. All good, not leaving anything. He then turned and picked up his lance, thrustng it out once, testing it's balance for the hundrith time. Smiling, he walked out of the tent and over to Artur's.
As he entered he glanced around and saw only Artur and Artea. Figures the newbies wouldn't be here yet, and he honestly wouldn't be surprised if Bianca had fallen asleep again. He smiled and walked over to the pair. "Mornin'" he smiled. "Gonna get some work done today, Cap'n?"

“C’mooon. I can’t I just sleep for another five minutes? Maybe fifteen? Ugh...” It was unclear whether she was complaining at Artur, or complaining to him about her poor sleeping conditions. She groaned as she rolled over once more, trying desperately to try to get some good rest, even for just the shortest time. But what hope did she have if she couldn’t get any all night long? The little girl sighed before throwing her pillow straight across the tent in frustration. Is this how she was going to have to live from now on? Maybe she could get used to it, but it would take some time, for certain.
Grabbing her things, Bianca quickly managed to get back into her normal clothes from her PJs and tried her best to shove everything she had into her bag. Normally she’d fold everything nice and neat and carefully place them all inside of her bag. But with only thirty minutes to prepare, the poor girl didn’t have any time for trivial matters like that if she was to make it out to her group. Hastily, she finished collecting her belongings and headed outside of her tent, the lodging itself completely empty aside from the things provided for her by the Blade Wings. Putting her bag on her staff and slinging all that onto her back, she shuffled out, making her way back towards where the Red Wolves were meeting.
“Can’t we at least take showers or something?” Bianca whined as she slowly made her way over. “Ugh. I hate feeling all...dirty like this.” She visibly shivered before continuing. “A hot shower sounds amaaazing right now. You have no idea...”
The little girl sighed as she realized no one was paying attention to her. Admittedly, she was indeed a bit frustrated how she’d been treated lately. The whole time during their stay, none of her crew members, AKA, her ‘slaves’, talked to her one bit. No one asked how she was doing after the ordeal on the fight, nor did it seem like anyone cared. Who talked to her instead? Why, the members of the Blade Wings of course. Those folks had shown her incredible kindness throughout all of this. Well, minus Ferma and the mean yelling man, but to her, they were no worse than the rest of her current group. For a moment, she stopped walking towards where Artur told them to meet and looked back towards the camp. She caught a glimpse of Lin and Ferma heading towards the showers, while Korin and the rather large man helped their troops to gather food, probably to give to her group for their trip. Her group...the sound of that wasn’t quite sitting with her so well anymore. Bianca stared longingly at the Blade Wings’ encampment and at Korin, the kind man continuing to show them the utmost generosity. Warm showers, delicious food, kind people, actual group structure...the girl was starting to like the sound of all those things.
After that short pause for thought, Bianca trundled over to where Korin directed his men, walking up to his side and tugging on his shirt to get his attention.
“Hey, mister Korin,” she said, looking up at him and looking as cute as possible as she spoke. “...I’d of asked Lin this if she wasn’t washing up right now, since she was the nicest to me, but here goes...” She took a deep breath before she spat out what she wanted to say. “...Can I join you guys? I’ve changed my mind, and…I wanna be a part of the Blade Wings. You guys are just so nice...” Not to mention their warm showers and delicious food, but she didn’t mention that. Not yet.

“Changed your mind?” Korin repeated, taking the words into consideration. As much as his group could benefit from the skills of a Carwyn, the honourable way Korin conducted himself made that an impossibility. He wasn’t the kind to poach members from another mercenary guild, and on top of that, a certain level of experience was needed to enter into the Blade Wings. Reyarch would never allow the addition of a child to their ranks.
“I apologise Miss Carwyn, but I must decline your request. You have a fine leader in Artur, and a group of talented individuals at your side. I imagine with the work they will be doing, your assistance will be much more appreciated and needed then ours.”
Standing, he placed a hand to his hilt, looking down to her. He could understand her desire and the appeal his group had, but in joining the Red Wolves, she had made a commitment. Honouring one's word was one of the most important things to Korin, and he would do what he could to ensure others followed that trait as well
“Give them some time to prove themselves to you. If by then you still find them unsuitable for you, then you may return here.” Korin turned to some more soldiers, ordering them about before turning back to Bianca.
“You can learn much by seeing the world. Don’t be too eager to settle so soon.”

“...I understand...” Bianca replied, looking down for a moment, her eyes half closed as she continued thinking on his response, her cute look erased from her face and replaced with an unhappier one. She took some time to gather her thoughts before she answered in full. “Well, I hope we meet again, Korin,” She said, sticking out her hand and reinstating her normal cheerful look. “You’ve been very kind and thoughtful to me. Thank you.”
After shaking hands with the leader of the Blade Wings, she readjusted the staff on her back, shifting its weight to make it a bit more comfortable, and headed back towards the rendezvous point. She waved to everyone back at camp before they were too far away, eventually making her way towards Artur.
Of course, once she got there, she’d planned to explain her absence, but it seemed entirely unnecessary. The leader was already preoccupied with two of the other dolts, Artea interested in his map, while Neil simply issued a welcoming greeting. Sighing, knowing there was no point in trying to get any of their attentions at this point, she found a spare spot on the ground and plopped herself down, waiting.
“I don’t see why I couldn’t have taken a shower,” She mumbled to herself. “We had plenty of time. No one else is even here yet.” The little girl made yet another long, exasperated sigh as she stared back towards the Blade Wings’ camp.
“You can learn much by seeing the world. Don’t be too eager to settle so soon.”
“Great. Yet another thing to play back and forth in my mind, along with the ‘washboard’ comment,” She whispered to herself, tossing a few dirt rocks around lightly in her left hand. Bianca knew the statement would probably hold more significance, as would most of what Korin had said to her, but at the moment, she didn’t entirely understand. Why was going with the Blade Wings considered settling and this wasn’t? Or, maybe he was talking about something else, some underlying meaning she’d failed to catch onto. She tossed one of the dirt rocks away from her in boredom as she dismissed her current thought process, sighing once more, wishing she could understand the world around her a little bit better than she did. Cursing her parents’ strict raising of her, she lightly threw another rock in slight frustration before she went back to juggling a few of them with one hand.

As the sight of the Blade Wings' camp grew smaller in the distance, he couldn't help but wonder how much longer he'd keep traipsing across the country without getting back to Lor to document his findings. It was quite an odd thing to think about, yet at the same time it was an issue he would have to deal with sooner or later.

After being officially roused, he finished getting dressed and slung his partisan and pack onto his back, sliding his book into one of its flaps as he did so. He exited the tent and stretched one more time before looking around at the others. Most people were already up and out, as he wasn't in a rush. Artur had given them half an hour before they had to leave. As such, he still had time to swing by the kitchen tent to bid farewell to Barryn before they left. Nothing to serious, just a wave an a goodbye. Then he made his way to the meeting point where Artur would be waiting.
He arrived just as one of the Wolves said Mornin', Gonna get some work done today, Cap'n? He moved closer to the others so he could hear what the plan was. In all the activity, he'd nearly forgotten they were on a Bandit hunt, so he wanted to be as well reminded as he could be before the mission.

Artur walked up to Korin and offered a hand for a shake. He told the man, "Well, it was good of you to let us spend the night here. I know my men-- and women too, of course-- all had a real good time last night. It was nice to boost morale like that. Hopefully, the next time we meet will be just as amiable." He finished his little speech then turned back to his crew. "Alright everyone, time to move out. We have quite of bit of land to cover."

She frowned, rolling the pieces of paper together and storing them in their respective places. So, if Artur didn't know where those bandits were hiding. Then, what was the point of their missions? Obviously if you wanted someone killed, you would have their current location. Not just a random sign saying; 'These are bandits, please kill them.'
For Artea, it didn't make much sense. Call it paranoid, but something just seemed fishy about this hunt. Or perhaps it was just her imagination? Plus, Artur was the leader, and leaders know what they are doing, right?
Anyway, after shaking her head, the female turned around. She hadn't even realised Neil had arrived, and most of the other crew-members as well. After giving the Lancer a playful wink, and a lazy 'Mornin'.'. Artea made her way to the little Bianca, smiling softly at the girl as she greeted the her. “Hey, a good morning too you Bianca. Are you ready for some adventuring?” The female tried her best to sound as optimistic as possible.

“I guess so,” she replied, throwing another one away from the two of them. “It’ll be nice to finally go on an adventure after all this time. I just wish I’d gotten to take a shower. I can’t stand being smelly. Not one bit.” She sighed as she juggled her rocks a bit more, giving her situation some thought. It’d probably be best if she completely avoided the subject of her momentary lapse of loyalty to Artur, at least for now. This girl was the vice captain of their squad, and revealing any sort of weakness to her was probably a bad idea. Still, it’d probably be obvious to the thief that Bianca wasn’t entirely happy with how her situation had progressed thus far. She hoped that the lack of showering and washing up would be enough to pass off as the cause her current sour mood.
After a few more moments of thought, the magical girl stopped and threw her dirt rocks lightly to the ground. Just what was Artea up to, anyways? She wasn’t quite this friendly last time they talked. She wondered...
Bianca hopped up to her feet and brushed herself off before she turned and looked to Artea. “You seem in an awfully good mood, though,” the girl mentioned, still eying the vice captain slightly suspiciously. She tried to keep this kind of look as low key as she possibly could, which wasn’t much. “I mean, you weren’t exactly this chatty the last time I tried to talk to you. In fact, you were barely chatty at all.”
The magical girl was slightly hoping she’d be pushing some sort of buttons on Artea, wanting to get a little bit of a rise out of her. The way she along with the rest of the group had treated her irked her slightly, and she wanted to get back at them just a tad. Though, she was at least doing it by making her point well known. What she was saying wasn’t a lie, after all.
“So, what’s got you in a good mood this morning? ‘cause it can’t be the lack of washing up. You don’t seem the type to enjoy going without a shower.” She put a finger to her chin. “Heh, maybe it’s because no one else really wants to talk to you this morning. We’re up super early, so I can probably imagine they’re way too tired to start up a chat. And I bet ‘cause you wanted a bit, long chat, you came to the chattiest member of all, me.” She chuckled. “Well, as your master, I suppose I can allow it. So go on. Chat away.” Bianca crossed her arms and tapped her foot as she waited for Artea to start talking. The nerve of this girl was clearly immense...

“You seem in an awfully good mood, though,” The little mage rose up from the ground, tossing the few clay rocks that were in her hand, on the ground. If it wasn't for the early morning, Artea could swear she was being interrogated by the pink-haired girl, her face had that expression, anyway. “I mean, you weren’t exactly this chatty the last time I tried to talk to you. In fact, you were barely chatty at all.”
The female chuckled slightly as Bianca eyed her for a few seconds. Maintaining that, vague, suspicious expression. Really, that curiosity of hers could well be the death of the magical girl. Not... that Artea wished something like that, it was just a fair amount of amusement that the vice captain wasn't the only one with a lack self control when it came to curiosity.
Right after Bianca had finished her cute, interrogation. Artea made an attempt to talk, though not without the occasional chuckle every now and then. “Well, if we both cannot stand going without a shower. Maybe we'll just ask the boys to kindly wait, while we satisfy our girly needs?~” The vice captain spoke in a teasing tone, leaning closer to Bianca's face as she did so.
Having listened to the girl's response, Artea continued. Not wanting to sound as if she didn't take Bainca's complaint seriously. “We could always ask Artur to wait. But only if it really bothers you that much.” She gave the magical girl a soft smile, no-one in the gang should feel uncomfortable. And if it bothered Bianca this much, Artea would do her best to let Artur wait for a moment longer.
At her last words, the female giggled slightly, raising both her hands near the sides of her head. “You got me, I thought you'd be willing to talk to little old me. So, I came to you for a lengthy chat.” In actuality, Artea wondered how Bianca was doing. You know, if she enjoyed being a member of the Red Wolves. Just the general thing, no matter how much the girl would try, she remained a kid.
“Actually Bianca, I was wondering if our little mage enjoyed travelling with us elderly people.” Artea glanced at the other members for a second, turning back to Bianca as the girl responded...

“...Hey, yeah! That’s a great idea! Oh man, a hot shower...” Bianca shivered with delight as she hugged into herself. “Just the thought fills me with warmth and happiness. Could you pleeeeeease ask Artur to let us do that? Ohhhhh, it’d be sooooo awesome...” Clearly the little girl hadn’t caught on to the fact that Artea was simply teasing the girl, her tone of voice not entirely tipping her off. But as she stared into Artea’s face a bit more, the idea shot through her mind, and she frowned.
“...You were just kidding, weren’t you?” She said with a sigh, ceasing to shiver with joy and stopped hugging herself, looking down at the ground. “I guess it was just too much to ask, I suppose. We’re roughin’ it out here, after all. And we’re busy, too. No time to stop for a civilized shower, right?” Her tone was slightly forlorn, as if the vice captain had dangled a piece of fruit out in front of her and snatched it away at just the right time. And clearly, it was that tone of voice that caused Artea to continue.
“We could always ask Artur to wait. But only if it really bothers you that much,” She said with a warm smile. Bianca looked back up to Artea, then chuckled nervously.
“...Nah. This is what I wanted, I suppose. To be out here roughin’ it with all you adventuring types. It bothers me, sure, but I think I’d best deal with it for now.” She paused for a moment of thought before continuing. “Though, only if we get to take a shower next time we get a chance, since it seemed like you were actually sincere about asking Artur this time around. I imagine the next time we get a chance, we’d all be supremely foolish to pass up such an offer. Not that we’re not being foolish passing up the chance now...”
Afterwards, Artea responded to the last part of their conversation, addressing her interrogation about her little chat. And, of course, the incredible little magical girl’s premonition was right, as per usual. Even she sometimes amazed herself at how good she was at that.
“Actually Bianca, I was wondering if our little mage enjoyed travelling with us elderly people.”
“Elderly?” Bianca repeated, raising an eyebrow. “C’mon. You guys aren’t nearly as old as my crummy parents, so you’re far from elderly. Unless you’re comparing yourself to me of course. Then you’re all somewhat elderly. But only somewhat.” She chuckled at bit at her own joke.
“Anyways, uh...I dunno, Artea. I can’t entirely say how much I’ve enjoyed my time here,” she replied, her facing going from smiling and laughing to a bit more neutral. “We haven’t really done much aside from fail to be really organized, fight off some random bandits, and stay at the Blade Wings’ camp. It’s not like I can judge entirely, but uh...” The girl’s voice trailed off for a moment. Should she really say something? She didn’t really know. Against her better judgement, however, she leaned in closer to Artea.
“...Look, don’t tell Artur this, but...my first impression of you guys as a group isn’t all that great,” she whispered. “The lack of organization is frustrating, and a lot of the things that’ve been imposed upon me are grating. Even the members, excluding you now, generally ignoring me somewhat is starting to get to me. And to be honest...I asked Korin if I could just join the Blade Wings instead.” She paused for a moment to let that sink in before she continued.
“...He turned me down, though,” she continued to whisper. “Said he didn’t feel it was right for me to leave, and told me I should explore and gain more experience. And...something about not settling early. Dunno what that was about...”
She backed off, withdrawing before she spoke once more.
“...Sorry, but...I guess I just needed to tell somebody...” she stated, looking down at the ground with her hands behind her back.

hereally didn't have anything against the kid, she would be useful. And getting Artur's trust at that age wasn't something to be sneezed at. He just hoped she would take the damn edge off her tongue some. It wasn't unheard of for mercs to be short tempered, but this girl took it to an extreme. He had dealt with personalities like that in some of the companies he had dealt with, and this girl had too pretty a face to be given that treatment.
Niel rolled up the map Artea had left and stuffed it in his pack. Then, Niel lifted his things and walked over to the pair chatting. he came up beside them and adopted his typical smile. He squatted down and put one arm around Bianca's shoulders and the other around Artea's waist and casually said, "Well, sorry to inturrupt, but the commander is calling. Shall I escort the ladies to him?"

Re: [OOC] Legendia Crystallinus
I'm rambling, I am just saying that I am losing interest in this RP. Mainly because it is going fairly... slow. Is there anything I am missing here? Is Chari busy with something? I don't know! Whatever the reason for his absence, I still think he could've mentioned something about being busy, no?
Wow, I am trying my best not make y'all hate me. lol. But, Artea is abandoning her position and leaves the team. T'was a good time with everyone here, but I don't see my interest returning any time soon.
Once again, apologies for any inconvenience and whatnot.
Cheers,
Archlkan

I will go and start working out a post
Re: [OOC] Legendia Crystallinus
But, I really don't know if I'll get filled with disappointment, or fear from a sudden pain-scream.
Whatever the case, I think you get my point. Is this going to roll again, soon?
Re: [OOC] Legendia Crystallinus
Niel really doesn't have anything to do that would be of any concequence right now, so it would be a rather meaningless post. But I could make one if absolutely necessary.

But. Yeah, I'll be ready to post whenever you have skipped to the next day Chari.
