Personality: Ari is very quiet around new people and usually will only answer yes or no questions, with a nod or by shaking her head. When she does talk she's very sarcastic which gets on most people's nerves but some of the things she says are actually hilarious. She's not very friendly and it takes a lot for her to trust someone. She's very independent and has always refused to accept help even when she really needed it. She doesn't lie for the good of other's she just tells the truth no matter how painful it is. Don't get me wrong she can be a great liar when she wants to be, but usually she has no reason to lie.

Flaws: Ari never looks at the bright side of things which often makes her depressed. And she absolutely refuses to accept help from anyone, she thinks that if she can't do something on her own she's weak.

History: Ari was born in New York to an abusive family. When she was about 8 she finally told someone and was beat to the point of needing to go to the hospital for it, that's when she stopped accepting help. But they found out what was happening and she was sent to an orphanage where she was adopted right away to a very nice family. She loves them like they were her real family. Her adoptive brother who she was very close to was in a band and he taught her how to play almost all the instruments, she was already naturally talented at singing so she was fine with that. She spent most of her time doing something musical as she grew up and joined a band. It took a lot of convincing for her to go on this cruise and leave her band who were her only real friends, behind for a while.

"It's alright. It's ok," She spoke in a low soothing voice.

Perla noticed how everyone was throwing around introductions, so she decided to introduce herself as well.

My name is Perla Maddalena.
Perla stated in a silent but clear voice. She didn't have a very strong accent, but it was obvious that she was Spanish. Perla heard silent weeping and looked at a woman with blonde hair, so bright it almost seemed white. She couldn't exactly tell if it was dyed or not, but she decided that she would crawl over towards her and comfort her. Someone had already beat her to it, but she just went to her other side. When the other woman asked what her name was, Perla nodded, wanting to find out what her name was. But before that was shared, she wanted to know what was wrong.

Alexa looked to the girl trying to calm her. She had no clue how wrong she was, but for her sake, Alexa tried to fake a smile.
"I'm Alexa Swanson. I just turned 17 last month. This was supposed to be a relaxing break from my parents divorce..." She stopped and took a deep breath. Then turned to the medic. "Theoretically, if someone on board was about a month pregnant, would uh...would the baby be ok?" She could feel herself on the edge of tears again.

Keith sat in his own little space watching the newest member be pulled aboard. There was nothing he could do really. He put the key ring in his pocket and shifted in his seat. His ears caught the last bit of a question and his eyes opened wide.He shouldn't get involved, there was a medic on board, he'll handle it, wouldn't he? He shook his head and looked around the raft, wondering what everyone was thinking.

It's not that bad. At least we're not alone.

He put his head back and breathed a long slow breath, trying to relax a bit and forget what he heard. He almost wanted to fall asleep but he knew that they wouldn't let him sleep. He imagines what would happen and laughs to himself a bit.

Grant wasn't the most subtle guy, but the information he was trying to get was vital.

"Well that's not really part of my expertise, but it would depend on say, if that person was knocked out and the cause of that loss of consciousness. If a loss of pregnancy did occur, the typical symptoms, like morning sickness or sore breasts, would stop after a short time."

He leaned back and a long shiver went up his spine. He was feeling pretty cold after having dived in the water (twice), but knew other people needed his jacket more than him; he could manage.

Seeing as how she had put on a dry sweatshirt, Grant pointed to the jacket he had laid on her early.

"Do you mind...?" He asked, not finishing his sentence. The jacket was dark blue, with the classic star of life on the back. Each sleeve had two small, reflective yellow stripes with the words 'S.S. Dream Scape' under them.

"Well, first we need to find land!" Rosemarie complained, throwing her hands up in the air. A bump came from the underside of the raft.

"What is that?"
THe raft suddenly flipped over.

"DOLPHINES HELP US!"

Roxi screamed, right before she tumbled over with the raft. She swam upwards, trying to tell herself not to panic, remembering from a health class in sixth grade about how you preserve more energy when you don't panic, or something like that... But it sure didn't help that the shark was there.


Her hands resurfaced, though her head did not. She had been dumped right under the life raft, and she couldn't seem to push it right side up, so she started to swim to where she assumed was right next to the life raft. Finally resurfacing, and gasping for breath as she did. Roxi opened her eyes, trying to ignore the painful sting as all the salt water rushed into them. She cursed under her breath, and headed to the life raft. She managed to flip it back over in the right direction, then climb on.

With chattering teeth, she looked around for anyone else who was struggling to get on the raft.

Grant didn't think much of the bump on the underside, thinking it was just waves, or a fish, something like that. He was thoroughly surprised when he found himself in the water.

He poked his head up and noticed one of the girls trying to flip the raft back over, and he assisted. Then he swam back out, looking for others, and grabbed the first person he found, helping them back to the boat.

"Everybody stay calm!" He said as he swam, "If you kick around a bunch you'll just get his attention!" If there was anything Grant was good it, it was doing well under pressure. It was sort of in his job description.

His view changed in a flash, from yellow to murky blue. The word, shark, flew through the air, the word scared him more than the animal. It was the thing that you didn't want to hear. Keith swum in place as the raft was flipped the right way up, he couldn't see the shark, a fin, not a shadow. It seemed it was gone but he wanted to be sure.

I'll have a look.

Keith puts his head under the water and looks through his blurred vision. He sees legs, water and some small fish, he also sees something odd. It was a shadow but of nothing he could identify. He begins swimming to the raft, keeping his head down, watching the shadow.

Rosemarie tried to calmly swim toward the raft, but she swallowed some water. She started to cough. Rosemarie sighed and reached into her pocket, looking for her inhaler, just to make sure it was there. She instead found her pocket knife and cut herself. Blood spilled out to the water.
"Oh. Crap," She muttered.

Ari who had just been sitting there quietly instantly starts to panic when she hears the word shark. A storm she could handle but a shark. That is one of the few things that terrify her. She let's out a yelp as the boat is flipped over not able to take a breath before she hits the water. She swims to the surface struggling not to hyperventilate and see's the boat being flipped back over. She quickly helps push it back up and grabs onto the side of it. Remembering someone saying to stay still. She takes in a shaky breath before looking around to see if anyone needs help.

So many things were happening at once, the shadow was a shark, and the water was turning red. Keith knew that if he didn't get to the raft he would be killed, he also knew if he got to the raft others might be killed. He stops metres away from the raft and turns back.

I'll distract the shark.

He swims away from the others and begins splashing frantically, hoping to get the sharks attention.

When Perla heard the word, her eyes widened extremely wide. She's had a shark experience before, back when she wasn't afraid of water. When the raft flipped over, Perla tried holding onto the raft, but went flying into the water again. When Perla was underwater, she knew well enough to blow out of her nose and tried not being completely helpless. Her long hair was surrounding her head and face again and she could barely see. On the corner of her eye and through her hair, she seen blood and knew that was a really bad sign. The blood was very near Perla, so she used one leg and both of her arms to attempt at swimming away.

Perla pushed her hair out of her face and seen the shark very close to her. Perla opened her mouth and screamed as loud as she could underwater, causing bubbles to go up to the surface of the sea. She realized that she was screaming and covered her mouth, but she was running out of air... again. And she began feeling her consciousness slip away... again.
