MAGIC
Magic Power is the source of Power for all Mages, it is composed of Eternano. Every Mage has a container inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power. In the case that it becomes empty, Eternano comes from the atmosphere and enters the Mages' body and after a while their magic power is restored.
Second Origin: This is an unused part of a Mages' Magic container that holds a large amount of dormant power. If a Mage somehow manages to unlock their Second Origin, they will receive an enormous boost in Magic Power. Some Mages' wait to unleash the Magic Power of their Second Origin in order to gain an advantage in the battle.
What Type Of Magic Do You Use?
CASTER MAGIC
This is Magic that is expelled from the body as opposed to Magic done through the use of a weapon or outside source.
HOLDER MAGIC
This Magic requires a Mage to use an external source to produce the Magic. It usually requires the use of Magic Power, though there are some exceptions such as Edolas Items that are powered by Lacrima.
LOST MAGIC
This is a type of Magic that has been obliterated from the history of the world due to their immense power and the sheer gravity of their side effects on the users. However, users of such Magic still exist, though the Magic itself is believed to be extremely rare.
STORM SHIELD
This Guild has been officially open for a year. The building itself is a little run down still but it's gradually becoming more homely. The Guild consists of a small community hall, a bar, a cute kitchen and a few basic furnishings such as tables, chairs etc. The Guild Master lives upstairs but also has a home elsewhere. Upstairs is off limits!
Lower class characters can evolve throughout the roleplay and join a higher class. In the future you can request for your character to go up a power level as long as its consistant with the storyline and makes sense. For example, a weak, poorly skilled mage isnt going to leap up to A-Class.
The highest ranked Mage's of the Guild. Reserving a spot in this rank allows your character to start off as a powerful and skilled mage.

{UNLIMITED SPACES UNTIL OTHERWISE STATED}
I wont be providing a character skeleton, however I will list what I would hope to see on your character profiles.
- Name, age and gender.
- Characters current Class and what they aspire to be.
- Magic type with a description. Beneath that weaknesses and strengths of the magic and character.
- Physical description alongside non-real images of character.
- Personality and History.
- Why they chose to join Storm Shield and how long they have been at the guild. Are they recently joining or have they been there for a short while.
- When it comes to character creation I will not accept a trillion dragon slayers and requip mage's. I understand that you may be a fan of various characters from the anime/manga this roleplay is based upon however, I believe everyone will appreciate a little variety when it comes to magic.
- I also find story lines snatched from the original fairy-tail unacceptable. I will permit use of the r-system and magic bureau in someone's past as it appears a few mage's originate from there in this universe. If I feel like I'm reading a lazy-ass version from an existing fairy-tail character I will politely refuse the submission without hesitation.
- Not a rule but a strong suggestion. The more potentially powerful a characters magic is, the more weaknesses they should have to balance things out.
- Adult content is acceptable but pure smut is not.
- I should hope you all know the basic rules of roleplay and if you don't you're a wolly! Here i'm referencing: Mary-sues, being civil in the ooc, using god awful text language, doing whatever you feel like to other characters and the story line, creating a god-like character who can do no wrong, using unnecessary foul language constantly. YOU KNOW THE REST!
- Any questions can be posted in the ooc, you never know other players might know the answer. Ideas should be posted in the ooc or pmed to me. Please run any ideas by me first, do not go ahead without checking with me and other players first as what you think is a great idea may not be so great to others.
- When it comes to posting I don't expect thirty posts a day or even a week. At least two or three posts a week will be great. I think two or three paragraphs per post on average is also acceptable. Please read other character posts and check spelling/basic punctuation. If your character has little to say or do, please don't write three paragraphs describing them walking down a road. Description is good but sometimes less is more.
If i've forgotten anything it's because I wrote this out once already and then stupidly pressed reset instead of submit. Genius.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 9 authors
Fiore is a place of magic, containing some of the most fruitful, majestic and down right pain in the neck Guilds known to all the land.
Somewhere in this vast place, a young Guild has formed under the name of Storm Shield. Though it has been open for a year, only now has it began to earn itself a reputation.
Every Guild must face hardships that either make or break it, and this young Guild will face them sooner than most. Storm Shield will come up against a deep, brooding darkness, an evil so substantial it will project them into one of two futures. They will fly to fame and Storm shield will be a guild of trust, strength and family or quite the opposite; it will fall before it could even stand and everyone baring the Storm Shield symbol will be destroyed.
{Location: Storm Shield}
The sun was shining, the skies were clear and the air felt good and fresh. Nothing, I repeat, nothing should have felt bad about today. It was a day to relax, a day to reflect...
"Get your fat ass outta my seat!"
Or it would be, unless you were Valerie Krone. Valerie's eyes snapped open like a set of blinds to reveal bloodshot eyes. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to have an open door policy for the guild was due a knuckle sandwich. All she needed was a decent lay in but it appeared the mindless fools downstairs were set against her getting anything of the kind. Banging, crashing, loud laughter and arguments. Preposterous.
To be fair to those unknowingly awaiting a bollocking of another kind, it was early afternoon but on Valerie's clock that didn't matter in the slightest. Makarov had challenged her to a drink game at the council meeting yesterday and she'd be damned if she lost to that little man baby! Krone was paying for it today though and soon the kids down stairs would pay for it too.
She looked around for someone who looked important, trying to pick out the guild master, but when this failed, she merely went to the only person she saw who seemed to alone for the time being, an older woman, and one who didn't seem to be in a very good mood, though Kamiki failed to notice the latter part. She went right up to her, "Hi there! I'm Kamiki, i wanna join the guild, do you know where the guild master person is? i'm super strong and-" she began cheerfully before cutting herself off, pausing for a moment, sniffing the air a bit, "wow lady you stink like booze, have you been drinking? are you drunk? i thought you weren't supposed to drink this early? or did someone splash you with something? you look like you don't feel good? you're not sick are you?..." she rambled on as she had a tendency to do, completely oblivious to how annoying she might be
It was a bright and cheerful day as birds sang merrily and the laughter of children echoed throughout the street. Such pleasant sounds were merely muted and suffocated by the tense atmosphere of the bookstore as a standoff was taking place between the owner and one determined shopper. The shopkeep was an older woman with grey hair restrained in a tight bun, her mouth set in a firm line as she croaked out "I am not selling that chart for anything less than five hundred Jewel, so either buy it or get out of my shop". The client pursed her lips as she looked down at the seal chart bearing the insigna of the consolation of Cerberus, the mythical guard dog of the Underworld. Who knew how valuable that spirit could be in combat..if Isis could find and if this uptight elder would sell this map to her. Smoothing out the folds of her dress, Isis gave the older woman a pleasant smile "Surely you couldn't bring down the price only just a little Hana. After all who else would you sell this..old..". The shopkeep's mouth puckered even harder at the mention of the age "I mean, piece of forgotten history that the world deserves to see in its full glory once more".
Her compliment's seem to lessen the difficult owner's firm mouth as silence came over the two as Isis nervously bit her lip as she waited for the final price to be made. Her own cash was dwindling as she quickly added up all she had to her name in her head..only about eight hundred Jewels left..not to mention the room she was renting at a local tavern was quickly depleting said supply. Did she really need to find another Key..who knows how difficult that Spirit would be to work with in combat. The high pitched scolding of Ramus echoed through her mind as the youthful looking Spirit lectured her on the dangers of working alone..not to mention the large bump that an apple he had thrown left on her head for about a week. A sigh escaped Isis's lips alerting Hana of her presence once more "Don't give me attitude girl, I need to make a living too. Fine I will lower my price down to four hundred and eighty jewel..Don't you go telling anyone though".
A few minutes passed by as Isis emerged from the shop out into the bright sunshine, well only for a moment as she opened her parasol with one hand and in the other, her prized star chart hopefully a clue to another forgotten Key..now cracking that case would take time and patience. Said matter would have to be put aside as Isis recalled her relatively empty money pouch..only three hundred and twenty jewels left..her room was around five hundred jewels a week. Not to mention it was getting tiresome of not having a place to call her own after six months of becoming a member of Storm Shield..it was a bit risky to try higher paying missions without any back-up so she settled for ones she knows she could manage..meaning she was stuck in her current living situation. Finally reaching the solid doors of the Guild she was slowly learning to open up to, despite the antics of her fellow guild members. The first floor of the Guild was somewhat stable despite a few brawling members and broken stools laying in their wake.
Picking her way slowly through the dust and rubble, Isis settled herself down on a hopefully sturdy bar stool before gently spreading out the star chart before her, her luminous eyes growing wide with excitement as she took in the drawing of the constellation as well as the inscriptions of the origins of Cerberus. Immediately, an image of the Spirit popped in her head, a monstrous hellish dog spewing flames from its maw..a giggle escaped her. Her imagination was very rarely accurate when it came to Spirits as her fingers fondly traced the grayish black keys at her waist secured by a belt..warmth jolted through her body as she prodded one Key bearing the symbol of the Eel. Anguilla was the playful type so to speak..like an eager electric puppy..with not a single sense of boundaries in his head. Still, Isis did love her Spirits despite all the flaws and hopefully her Guild would too one day. Now if only she had chosen a less chaotic guild as the sounds of glass breaking reached her ears. Glancing up from the chart, as wondered when exactly the Guild master would put a stop to the destruction..
{Storm Shield Guild Hall}
Oliver was carefully handpicking a job from the board when her silent pondering got rudely interrupted by none other than the guild master herself.
A good morning to her, too.
Although from the looks of it Valerie didn't seem to be in a particularly savory mood, as noted by the sincere grump in her walk. βPoor bastard who'd dare tumble with that.β Not Oliver at least.
How delightful it was to have their beloved guild master on the scene, and how happy Oliver was to have someone around who could quelch the obnoxious, rampant bravado of less civilized mages that, quite frankly, was making her head throb. Obviously, this wasn't supposed to be normalcy with guilds, but Oliver knew better than that because she's seen plenty of times (mages were rambunctious by default, apparently) the collective nature of a bunch of twats flinging twinkly stars at problems for a job.
Then again, she was one of those twats, only less chatty about her pretend-badassery of her previous job and simply moving on to the next big thing. Not that Oliver's pickings were exactly worthy of becoming a windbag. Helping an old lady water her herb garden wasn't exactly B-class worthy, right? So... no bragging warranted.
No no no. That was left for an unlucky green one who thought rambling about her greatness against Miss Krone was a, quote on quote, good idea. It wasn't difficult for Oliver to notice that this special snowflake wasn't quite familiar with the guild or its mistress.
βIron fist in three, two, one...β Oliver recited from memory like receiving a mouthful from Valerie was the highlight of her day. And in fact, it was so long as some other poor sod was one the receiving end. As such, she felt no rush to interfere with the kid meeting the guild master at her worst and resumed her musing on what job she'd pick next.
A difficult choice indeed...
Tatsuo busted the door to the guild hall wide open with a strong kick rather then just open it like a normal person. He walked in like he owned the place, not paying mind to the people already there. Tatsuo took a empty seat at a full table. He leaned back in the chair, and propped his feet up on the table, barely even noticing the four men that were already there. The men looked at each other in confusion, a little surprised by the small dragon slayer's disregard for them. Soon a fifth man came to the table holding several drinks.
"Hey punk! That's my seat!" The man said as he slammed the drinks down on the table. "My heart bleeds for you. Go bother someone else." Tatsuo replied, not even looking at the man. "What chu say?! Look at me when I'm talking to you Shrimp!" The man demanded as he shoved Tatsuo's feet off the table. Tatsuo jumped up out of the chair, and the two engaged in an intense stare down. "What did you call me asshole?" Tatsuo asked, his golden eyes not straying from his eyes. "Shrimp. What are you gonna do about it?" The man said and he poked him on his forehead.
"Thought so." Tatsuo smirked. He then gave the man a bone shattering kick to his right knee. This brought the man down to his knees, and below Tatsuo's eye level. "Who's short now bitch?!" Tatsuo asked before he punched the guy in his face, sending him flying across the room. The four other men jumped up from their chairs, and stared Tatsuo down. "Ass kicking's for everyone!" He smirked as he gripped on his red cloak's left sleeve. The man closest to him on his left charged forward at him. And all Tatsuo could do is laugh.
Tatsuo quickly took his cloak off, and threw it at the man, covering his head. While he was getting it off Tatsuo leaped forward, and kicked him in the chest, sending him flying off. One of the men gave Tatsuo a bear hug from behind as another one came forwards towards him. Tatsuo kicked the man coming towards him in the knee, and slammed his head into the nose of the man holding him. The man let go of him, and Tatsuo grabbed his right arm, and tossed him into the other man in a judo-like fashion.
Tatsuo looked over at the last man who had a terrified expression on his face at this point. "All yours pal!" He said, and then ran off. "Smart man." Tatsuo said as he picked up his cloak, and dusted it off before putting it back on. He took his seat back, and leaned back in it, and put his feet up like before, acting almost like nothing happened. He then noticed the guild master coming down after all the commotion that Tatsuo caused died down.
Then a girl came into the guild, while normally he wouldn't even notice unless she was drop dead gorgeous, but this one was chewing on tree bark. She went over to the guild master, who it seems she didn't know was the guild master. She peaked his curiosity, so he nonchalantly moved back some of his hair behind his ear so he could better listen in on them. Sometimes having dragon-like senses was a blessing.
He heard her start to say something about being really strong before she seemed to lose her train of thought, and began talking about Valerie's smell. Well it was a rather strong one, even he could smell it from here. But back to the point, her starting to say something about being strong, and her eating tree bark pretty made a light blub go off in his mind. 'Is she a dragon slayer?'
Fadil just returned to the guild hall. He had been gone for a couple of weeks on a rather challenging S-Class mission. He entered the hall with a air of intimidation, and respect to him. He scanned the room until he found the guild master with a unfamiliar girl. He walked over to them, with his eyes trailing around the guild, studying everyone there.
He came up to the table Valerie was sitting at, and plopped down a rather large bag of jewel. This was onver half of the reward he got for completing his mission. He usually gives a rather large cut of his profits to the guild master to help keep the guild hall afloat. He gave Valerie a nod that said 'That everything went well'.
He stared at the unfamiliar girl, towering over her. He studied her face, and her entire body with a look like he was staring into her very being. All without saying a word. It was more then a little unsettling.
Yui was sitting at a dark table near a corner of the guild hall, watching all the goings on around the guild. In her hands was a small shadow she was playing with absentmindedly. Yui watched the new girl as she spoke to the guild master, chewing on what Yui thought was some sort of candy. Then suddenly Tatsuo barged in the guild hall, that stubborn ass, and proceeded to beat up a bunch of people just because he's insecure. 'I swear, Tatsuo is gonna kill someone eventually' Yui thought to herself.
Yui's attention shifted back to the girl talking to the guild master, something about her seemed strange and Yui's curiosity got the better of her. No one noticed as Yui melded into the shadow on the wall behind her, and slowly moved across the room towards the guild master and the new girl. Of course Yui could have just walked up to them both to see what was going on, but that would involve speaking to someone Yui didn't know, and that wouldn't go as well. Finally she had made it close enough to hear, but hopefully far enough to not be noticed, considering she was just a shadow on the floor at that point.
Syfer arrived at the guild hall, quietly slipping in the best he could. He was supposed to have reported in yesterday, but that didn't exactly happen as planned. He was already on Valerie's bad side after the damage he did to that village trying to stop the members of a dark guild. He moved as inconspicuously as possible to the bar counter, sitting down on a stool and lowering his head. He did not make eye contact with anyone, nor pay much attention to the goings on around him for fear attention might be drawn his way. He motioned the barkeep for a water and kept his arms high and his head low, his chin resting on the counter. "If I can make it through today, everything should be fine. Just drop the guilds cut on her desk and vanish into the city." Syfer grabbed the glass that had been placed in front of him and took small sips, his eyes darting around in paranoia.
"Maya why haven't you turned the guild's cut into Val yet?" Wincing, Rin turned to see a middle-aged woman with a tail and a bright smile with which Rin returned with a sheepish smile of her own. After a moment Rin raised her hands to reveal her paint covered hands to Kiku. Sighing, Kiku grabbed a rag from the coffee table and tossed it at Rin but smiled all the same. "I know you spend all night on that so at least let me see it." Rin giggled, nodded, and caught the rag before turning and leading Kiku out of the living room and through her bedroom. She had chosen her apartment specifically because of the studio room, especially since it was hidden in the back of the apartment. Opening the door to the room a strong smell of paint filled the air and Rin walked forward, waving her hand towards her easle which held still drawing painting of a desert landscape at sunset. The picture's sky was filled with masterfully blended hues of orange, red, and purple, all fading into black at the top which greatly contrasted the whitish-yellow sand. Kiku gasped in delight and grasped Rin's arm tightly. "It looks just like it did when we were in the Forgotten Desert!" Rin rolled her eyes and turned to walk away only to get smacked on the back of the head by Kiku's tail.
"Ow! Kiku!" "Well? Don't you sass me!" "I have to go turn in my cut..." Rin mutters, closing and locking her studio door after Kiku exited the room. "I'll talk to you when I get back after I pick a job." "Aw but Rin we just got back! Why can't we stay for a few days? I mean, you've been in Storm Shield for almost 6 months and you haven't talk to any of your guild mates for more than five minutes." Rin turned to Kiku angrily. "And that's how it'll stay! You promised you wouldn't do this!" Kiku stared at her defiantly. "if that's what you really wanted than why have you spent so much time learning about them? Admit it. You've grown fond of them." Rin turned halfway through Kiku's response and stormed through her room, grabbing the bag of jewel off of her the table as she went past the kitchen on the way towards the door. "This conversation is over." "Maya..." "hello! I'll be back later." For a moment Rinhesitated at the door, too harsh, but as Kiku reached out for her she stepped away and slam the door behind her.
Ten minutes later, Rin arrived at guild hall with the guild's cut and stepped up to the open door with her eyes narrowed, her face otherwise expressionless. I see you stepped through the doorway Rin's attention was immediately drawn to the man that went flying across the room by Tatsuo's hand. Shaking her head Rin looked away from Tatsuo's fighting only to catch a group of people completely stop talking at the sight of her. Instinctively, Rin's I narrowed further up the group before she restriction and turn completely away from them. Spotting the guild master standing with an unfamiliar girl and Fadil Rin immediately noticed Valerie's annoyed and tense demeanor. "Can't be helped..." She muttered, shooting a pointed glare at another group who was staring at her before walking across the guild hall towards Valerie and her entourage. Not wanting to interrupt the guild master Rin stopped a few paces behind Fadil to wait, knowing that handing over the bag of jewel would only take a moment and then she could pick a new job and leave, allowing no chance to accidentally run into... him. Shaking her head Rin focused her thoughts on what she was doing and shot a sharp glance over at Tatsuo hoping he wouldn't start any more trouble while she was in the hall.
Location: Storm Shield
Valerie stomped down the stairs like the cranky old cow she was and glared around the guild looking for the culprits that woke her from her much needed beauty sleep. She saw many familiar faces looking joyous until they laid eyes on her expression, she also saw a group of boys just ending a brawl, too dumb to see the Guild Master skulking towards them with an unholy glint to her eyes. She stepped on top of a guy already sprawled on the floor and purposely grounded his face into the floor a little with her boot.
Within a silent second she was looming over the first unlucky culprit still standing within her reach. "WHO WOKE ME UP" she hissed venomously. A noticeable shiver racked its way down the bodies of the guilty. Valerie pulled back a fist and launched it into the side of her first victims face. "TAKE THIS YOU ROWDY BRAT!" He shot sideways and disappeared straight out of the window.
Everyone shrunk away as her eyes turned to them. Valerie growled at them all before storming over to her table positioned near the bar. A helpful member rushed to grab her some coffee and headache remedy. Pulling out a smoke she lit it up and took a long pull on it.
"Hi there! I'm Kamiki, i wanna join the guild, do you know where the guild master person is? i'm super strong and-"
Valerie glanced up at the unwelcome spew of words to see a young girl who hadn't been around before. She looked cheerful, disgustingly cheerful. Kamiki paused and seemed to sniff around her before she innocently said "wow lady you stink like booze, have you been drinking? are you drunk? i thought you weren't supposed to drink this early? or did someone splash you with something? you look like you don't feel good? you're not sick are you?..."
Valerie stared down at the table, her face shadowed by her hair and her muscles growing tenser with every word the girl spoke. Her teeth began to clench into a snarl. A large bag dropped onto the table and Valerie glanced up to see a queue had formed to see her already. She was surrounded. Fadil stood at the very front giving her a look that told her his job had gone well.
She looked up at him with pleading eyes. 'Help me.' her eyes screamed. 'Before I smash this entire, pitiful guild into the ground like the butt of a cigarette."
Kamiki stopped her seemingly infinite series of questions for a moment as Valerie looked up at Fadil, she followed the older woman's line of sight, looking up at the much taller man who was in turn staring at her. Completely unfazed by his otherwise intimidating glare, she smiled up at him cheerfully as she proceeded to introduce herself to him, "hi there! I'm Kamiki Naruno, are you in this guild? do you know the guild master? I want to join too! I'm really tough you know, I've got dragon slayer magic" she says, quite proudly as well, but pauses for a moment, "Oh, but i didn't actually slay a dragon, it's just the name, which is weird... i'm not even close to strong enough to hurt Botanurus, and i'd never want too..." she adds, trailing off into her own thoughts for a moment, she took a few more large bites from the chunk of bark in her hand before she finished it altogether, grinning once more as she managed to put herself back on track, "I can show you too, watch this!" she says taking a step back.
Kamiki held out her arms, baring her fingers like claws as wood sprouted from her fingertips and spread up her arms, creating thick armor over her forearms with large clawed hands, "My wood dragon claws! i can smash rocks pretty easy with these" she says proudly, she then bends over slightly, a large wooden tail sprouting out of her tail bone, "and a tail too! i can also make wings but i can't really fly with them, i can do lots of other stuff too but i don't wanna smash your guild up" she said innocently, her wooden tail curling into a ring on the floor to support her weight as she crossed her legs and sat up on the artificial limb, armored hands clasped on her ankles as she awaited an answer.
{Storm Shield Guild Hall}
And then the lot of them felt the need to instigate a bar fight, resulting in one of the muscle-bound a-holes to tumble over a bit too close in Oliver's comfort zone, prompting the mage to hastily tear a random request from the board and leg the scene before it could reach full throttle anarchy and potentially suck her into the fray like some devious vortex seeking to worsen her day more than it already was. She did not want to deal with another influx of stress at this point.
Although for someone who avoided conflict, it was pretty ballsy to approach the sole dominant presence in the hall who had fortunately managed to subdue the ensuing chaos. Yet Oliver would say that made her hesitation to approach Valerie grow at a similar rate to the other woman's frustration with the flock of morons that. Just. Wouldn't. Stop. Growing!
Born under a lucky star, she was. Mhmm!
Her options were to either sit it out until the end of the feud (a huge waste of time), or to find another official who could approve the contract. Honestly, Oliver's choices were slim, and unless she wanted to scram without so much as a word (which she wouldn't because she isn't above guild customs) the next best choice was to bother Fadil for a few seconds. Though he didn't seem to be worth her time anyway, but at this point her other choices were pretty unsettling in comparison. βAh, what the Hell. What don't bite me, won't hurt me. Probably.β
And one arguable concerning moment of doubt later, Oliver came up beside the towering man looming over the meticulously growing group of potential punching bags for Valerie; the torn paper carefully arranged in the S-class mage's eyesight and a callous expression masking Oliver's uncertainty glancing up to exchange brief eye contact. She was this close to cringing, it almost made her plead 'wrong address'.
Instead, Oliver creatively offered: βHey, Adonis. Mind approving this while I can still claim guild membership?β Obviously, the genius of her humor displayed on a silver platter.
Fadil sighed as he looked at his guildmaster, and then to the other mages around them. Why must he always be the adult? 'Wood Dragon-Slayer? Another Dragon-Slayer?' He thought as he watched the new girl, this Kamiki Naruno demonstrate her abilities. "Valerie is our guildmaster." Fadil said in his deep, monotone voice as he pointed out Valerie before them. He glanced over at Tatsuo who was listening in on them. While he was thinking about informing her about Tatsuo, he figured that telling her about him isn't his place. He looked behind him to see Rin waiting to give her cut to Val.
Fadil took the bag of jewel from her, and grabbed his bag. He turned towards the stairs, and started to take the bags upstairs for Val to deal with later. But he was stopped by Oliver who was shoving a bunch of papers in his face. Fadil groaned, and rolled his eyes. He looked over her request of a job. He then looked at her and back at the request. "Alone?" He asked. "Very well. But I suggest taking someone else along. There's Rin, Isis, Syfer, and.....Tatsuo here." Fadil stated.
"And Yui who's hiding in the shadows." He knew his guildmates well enough to know their mannerisms, that and he saw her when he came in, and now she isn't there anymore. He walked on by her, and went upstairs to drop off the bags of jewel. Once he tossed them in Val's room. He returned downstairs, and took his place behind Valerie.
He leaned down beside her, and softly whispered into ear as not to bother her hangover. "It'd probably be a good idea to allow her to join. Given how rare Dragon Slayers are, and since we already have one. Hopefully this one is more.....tamed."
Tatsuo glared over at Fadil, he could faintly hear them him talking to Valerie about him. He stared over at the wood dragon slayer, trying to figure her out. He was wondering if she was a dragon slayer in the same vain as him, or did she actually learn it. He was tempted to go over and confront her about it, but it'd probably be a bad idea. Maybe just avoid her? Doubtful, but it never hurts try.
Well, he can't sit there, and do nothing all day. He could, but that would be boring. Tatsuo took his feet off the table, and got up. He went over to the job board to find something to do. He scratched his chin as he looked over the jobs. He was looking for the toughest, and most dangerous job on the board. His eyes kept glancing over at Kamiki, he tried his best not to, but he was just too curious about her.
The flurry that was Isis' pen as she began taking notes of her prized map of sorts came to a screeching halt as the grouchy guild master took her moodiness out by sending some unfortunate soul through a window. An excited, giddy voiced broke her determination to continue writing as some bizarre mage somehow managed to change her body with wood-like properties..the faint word dragon slayer reached her ears as Isis put the quill down with a sigh. If the guild were to get another dragon slayer mage as reckless as Tatsuo..the guild would fall into disarray faster than a shooting star in the sky..unless this mage wasn't as rash as the blonde. Speaking of the blonde as her luminous eyes glanced over at earth shifting hothead who seemed to attempting to starve off any urges to start a brawl by staring blankly at the job board.
Easily rolling up the fragile piece of paper with a delicate touch and safety stowing it away in a small satchel as Isis found herself standing next to Tatsuo who was attempting to be inconspicuous with his glances of the chatty visiting mage. Her eyes searched the board as a few jobs popped out to her..escorting a surveying team through a mountain pass known for bandits, find the latest lost pet, and to her surprise a simple waitressing job. Why would someone need a mage to waitress for a simple mission. A faint blush rose on her face as she read the description of the required uniform..something gloriously frilly and elegant..perhaps one could keep it if they did well enough. Exhaling loudly as she quickly put the mission paper back from where it was located as she glanced over at the curious Tatsu before stating "You know, most people are able to introduce themselves to strangers with a polite hello..or I suppose in your case given your usual entrances as fist to the face. Although I think our new guest could easily take you on if given the chance..". Her tone was relatively blunt as it was painfully clear her fellow guild mate was having a dilemma..to punch or to not punch that is the question...
Reaching for the escorting mission as she returned to her original seat at the bar and began her own dilemma of if to go on the mission alone or seek out a partner..it would be either a hinderance or blessing to have back-up on a unknown mission such as this one..

Regret. She felt an immediate storm of regret overwhelm what little expectation she had as soon as the colossal man opened his big fat gob, and for a moment Oliver wished she'd have taken her chances with the exasperated guild master instead. Although in hindsight, miss Krone would've given a similar advice.
Guilds had a tendency to take the nature of teamwork to an almost religious devotion, like it was the greatest discovery the world has ever acknowledged to enhance relations. Funnily enough the opposite was true with anxious individuals the likes of Oliver, who deliberately rejected such philosophies. Add her usual lacklustre and brash retorts to that and you can see why this kid never made any friends in high school.
βI'll think about it, sir.β The lie slipped through her teeth so hard it could've broken the grimace that quietly chastised Fadil for his fruitless attempt to persuade. And with the same callous air, Oliver left the scene; a single, unmasked groan emphasizing her discontent at the man's well to-do disposition.
You know, because mister Layth clearly tried his best.
Though the intend didn't hit Oliver before she finally took the chance to skim through the random paper clutched in her hands. And then... a sense of vertigo had her stumble a couple inches back like the mage couldn't believe she had willingly chosen to do this. 'Fuh-uuuuuck...!' Oliver felt nauseous even comprehending the feats required to complete this contract.
Dragon Problem! It read in a blazing, red font. Apparently a farmer family was having trouble with a reptilian pest messing up their crops and cattle, which they clearly dubbed a dragon (yeah, right) even though those bastards would've burned the entire thing to a crisp before any request could be made. Enticing, but unlikely. However intrigued by the challenge, Oliver wasn't keen on the fact that the dubious nature of this task forced her to team up on the off-chance.
She could either jump through another hoop and swap 'round the cards 'too awkward and risky with hatchling numero uno swamping the board', or follow that dreaded suggestion Fadil gave as a bonus.
Fun times, fun times...
A tiresome gaze took notice of the arguably few potential individuals that could help her catch this white rabbit, before finally falling on two passable mages: Syfer and Isis respectably. People that Oliver knew to be at least somewhat capable (from a preference standpoint) and tolerable. Deciding whom to bother, however, was a totally different matter entirely, both seemingly preoccupied with personal affairs; Syfer quietly sobering up from another sterling night out, and Isis fumbling about with something that Oliver couldn't quite make out.
At this point, she kind of figured that, you know, give or take. If neither wanted to help, then obviously this wasn't a good idea and she'd go off on her own. 'Nothing to go on about.' And Oliver was just about to debate the pros and cons of having to be invested in something (for the nth time) when she walked up to the only other S-mage.
βDon't go into cardiac arrest or anything, but... I might need help cracking this nut.β Oh, you clever girl you.
Oliver quietly flung the paper at the recipient; Hands shoved in pockets and a sorta-ish, but not really expectant look beaming at the poor sod buried in his own misery and armpits.
Syfer looked up at Oliver, his eyebrow raised. Syfer picked up the paper and looked over the job, clicking his tongue when he finished reading. "Dragon problem. Seriously? These jobs tend to be a waste of time You'd be better of-" Before he could finish his eyes darted across the room to see Valerie, causing him to use the paper to shield his face. "You know what? I'll take the job. Let's just be out of here as soon as possible, shall we?" Syfer continued to use the paper to shield his face, though with how he dressed and his tattoos he didn't exactly blend in. Though he wouldn't admit it, he was never one to refuse a contract when people may get hurt by whatever the job is targeting. "I don't exactly want the boss to know I'm here so if we could move it along that would be great. Unless you want to take anyone else along, I don't really care let's just go as soon as we can." Syfer's eyes shot around the room as he ducked down. Valerie seemed to be in an even fouler mood than usual so he knew to stay away.
Yui, upon being noticed by Fadil, emerged from her shadow and walked away, no more information useful to her could be gained from sticking around. Another dragon slayer... Huh. Yui thought to herself. As she walked back to her previous seat she couldn't help but overhear Syfer and Oliver talking about the dragon problem job. Yui hadn't taken a job for a while, so she was a bit low on funds. A job would be the most necessary course of action, Yui was hesitant to take one on alone due to her speach problem.
Walking up behind Oliver, Yui tapped her on the shoulder "Uhhh... Hello, I um, couldn't help but hear about... That dragon job... And I um.. Was wondering if, um, I could... Maybe, um.... Come with you?" Yui said, attempting to muster up all the nerve she had to speak. Of course, if Oliver didn't let Yui come with along, than Yui would have to go on a job solo, and that might not be the best option for her. So this dragon job might be the best (and only) option for Yui's future.
{Storm Shield Guild Hall}
No, it's quite alright. You don't have to play along, 'S-class asshole'. Though Oliver was streetwise enough to not voice that particular quip, it wasn't like he knew anyone was going to ask for a boon. Favour for a favour, I suppose. Oh, right... She should probably discuss the share ratios when out of Valerie's blast-radius, an act which Syfer coincidentally had in common with Oliver. A rare treat.
'Scared of the she-Hulk, ha.' She snickered, face and body language morphing from the hesitant maybe scram it while the opportunity is there into less like the suggestion was a terrible idea. Still not comfortable enough to feel like she could let her guard down, that would prove unwise given the chance.
An eyebrow involuntarily arched up. 'What's with S-class and teamwork anyway?' Some kind of prerequisite to ask one on a date? She hoped not... Oliver was astonished that she asked someone at all, let alone take the soapbox and invite the whole Burger King kids club over for dinner at mommy's house.
Then it dawned on a pesky little mouse to interrupt the awkward chatter, in which case Oliver pretended the younger girl had accidentally brushed against the older woman's shoulder β easier to avoid entertaining the small-fries β which conveys the typical 'fuck off' pretty well. Then the mouse began to peep, prompting apathy incarnate to shift its focus; Head turned to catch the child in peripheral vision and a hand nonchalantly brushing strands of platinum from a listening ear (real clever shy-girl).
In the end, well. Oliver wasn't exactly looking forward to bro-ing it up with two people, 'twos company, threes crowd' A third wheel on the wagon would only complicate matters. The deliberating, thought? Well down to dirt she didn't really care, but began to itch to bark shit for no justifiable reason. Being offered company always made her a bit antsy to be around that person, not that anything was out of the ordinary. Heck, little mouse looked even less at ease. She just liked the extra insurance of appearances (less people willing to mess, or even look at, a girl with a tendency to bite).
Ah, if she already gunned for a less threatening impression she may as well keep that up for the span of one conversation, right? Oliver settled on an eerie silence instead, in which she hastily recalled the mouse's name to be Yui. Clearly breaking the boundaries of complexity.
Right, she should probably answer the question from the shy girl (and probably start taking her seriously, yes)-- βLooking for a ticket out, eh? I've got no reason to stop you, figure someone like you might come in handy for this little magic trio.β She paused, thought for a second. βAnd, you know. People.β Probably won't hurt the group, much. Oliver wasn't planning to play babysitter however, so this one had to save their own hide unless the punk-rock reject was willing to be mother bear.
With matters handled to an awkward extend, Oliver settled for fidgeting with some non-existent dust in her pockets. A silent groan as she navigated to the nearest exit and hoped they'd follow suit. Or not. A tempting wish still.
Tatsuo's eyes widened as Isis talked to him about this new dragon slayer. 'Is she saying I'm weak or something?!' was the only thought in his head. He repeated her words over, and over. And to his insecure mind she was basically saying that she's the better dragon slayer then him. The more he thought about it, the more looked too much into her words. 'She's a damn Celestial Mage! What does she know about fighting! I can eat rocks like they're biscuits!' He thought to reassure himself. He then turned to her to respond, but she was gone.
Tatsuo marched over to the woman, pissed beyond reason. "Hey Keychain! You trying to say she's better then me?! I'm the goddamn Komodo, the best damn wizard in this joint!" Tatsuo asserted, not caring who heard. "You don't know a thing about fighting! You're just a Celestial Mage! You send your ghost thingamajigs to fight your battles." Tatsuo stated to get a rise out of her. "You want me to say something?! I'll say something so hard that it'll rip the goddamn walls off!" Tatsuo growled, as if he was challenged.
He turned around to face the other dragon slayer, with unreasonable anger swelling up. He marched over to the table, and slammed his hand loudly on the table. "What the hell you old harpy?! You trying to replace me or somethin'?" Tatsuo asked Valerie. "One incredibly badass Dragon Slayer ain't enough for you? You've got to have a useless one for what, kicks? She uses wood for god's sake! How useful can that be?!"
Fadil stepped forward, towering over the Earth Dragon Slayer. He gave him a combo of a glare, and snarl, one that said 'Back off'. Tatsuo returned the favor with a snarl of his own. "Whatever! I'm need something to punch!" Tatsuo growled before he turned away. Then the soft voice saying 'Dragon' reached across his ears. He turned to see several mages gathered at a table.
He strolled over there, and glanced over to see a job request that said 'Dragon'. A sly grin crept across his face. 'Perfect.' Tatsuo yanked the flier away from them without warning. "Huh....probably just a Wyvern or some crap. Might as well go beat the tar out of it." Tatsuo proclaimed. "Thanks, I got this! It's better to leave this to the GOOD wizards. Well, that'd just be me huh?" Tatsuo boasted. This'll show them who's the best Dragon Slayer!'
"Oh wait wait important stuff first. Where's your dragon? is he still alive? or was yours a girl dragon? what's a girl dragon look like? oh wait no can't be distracted, see Botanurus, that's the name of the dragon i was with, he even raised me and stuff, and then he just disappeared one day and i couldn't find him..." she says, trailing off, looking downcast suddenly, letting go of his arm as she looked down toward the floor, "i... i just wanted to find him... but no matter where i looked there was no sign of him, i hoped... joining a guild might help me..."
The bored expression of Isis's face did not even twitch as the hot-headed mage let out a stream of hissy words and let in a few choice insults towards her own magical ability. Yet like a gust of wind as soon as the blonde mage appeared, he soon turned towards his next target. Unconsciously, her hand had drifted toward her keys kept secured by a metal ring around her waist attached to her belt..interesting. It was true that she wasn't as experienced in close-combat as her accuser, but she wasn't the type to let her emotions dictate her actions which could lead to many poor actions in a fight and result in unnecessary injuries not just for the emotional idiot but to others.
Her eyes widened as Tatsuo flung another choice set of words toward two mages that could easily skin him alive within seconds..the Guildmaster and her relatively quiet unofficial second in command. A smirk came to Isis's face as the blonde backed off quickly after dropping his word vomit on them and ripped an unfortunate flyer off the mission board with ferocity..and it seemed catch the other dragon slayer's eye who naively or was eating a tad too much wood for her brain cells to keep up.
Running a hand through her hair, Isis carefully moved her way towards the Guildmaster and Fadil and asked softly "So..please tell me this wood dragon slayer is able to control herself without flying off the hand like our Tatsuo. Then again she should be able to help replace the furniture unlike that rock munching moron..". A bit of concern slipped into her voice as her eyes darted from the violate Tatsuo to the rambling mage "Should we tell her that Tatsou is the type that doesn't play well with others...".
A single finger traced the grey surfaces of her three keys on her belt as if to sooth them at Tatsuo's earlier words. With Anguilla being the most ticked given the small shocks that came from the key at each passing stroke. While Ramus and Aranea being more so annoyed at being called 'ghosthingies.." there was a distinct difference between Spirits and ghosts thank you very much.
He looked back, his red iris visible out of his peripheral, his normally indifferent expression bearing something far more cold and callous. "We've never worked together so I might just be making assumptions. But, if this is above your heads and you abandon anyone out there, don't bother coming back here. There's enough guilds out there with those just looking out for themselves." Syfer smiled and his expression changed. "Well, let's be off. Since you out this merry band together I believe that dictates you will be the leader. Yui?! Let's go, we might need your slaying." Syfer chose to ignore Tatsuo, slightly hoping the loud one would divert his attention to another job.
Yui glared angrily at Tatsuo for a moment, appaled at his extreme overreaction to the whole 'new dragon slayer' buisiness. As much as she didn't want to admit it, it would prove difficult to replace that loudmouth, as much as Yui sometimes wish they would. Still, most of his claims were just him spewing out nonsense like verbal diahrea, and worse, most of what he said was egotistical and just plain ignorant. 'Sure you're the best wizard, it's not like anyone here could beat the crap out of the great Tatsuo' Yui thought sarcastically. She didn't know what it was, but he just pissed her off.
Yui's attention shifted to Syfer as he called her name. Her anger left as Tatsuo shifted to the back of her mind, and it fully dawned on her that she was actually going on a job, with other people! She rushed over to Syfer and smiled, sure, maybe Oliver was a bit on the apathetic side, but Syfer seemed nice enough. Yui just hoped that Tatsuo wasn't serious about coming along 'I don't think I could take it if that idiot came along' Yui thought as she caught up with Oliver and Syfer.
{Storm Shield Guild Hall}
In the incompetence to not let anger get the better of rational judgement, maybe it wasn't the best decision to trample over several people who'd break your arm with one hand if given reason. Now, this kid had a trying day already; Gaining near centre of attention only second to the blockhead proclaiming 'King of the Hill'-status.
Adding theft of her
Right, right. Job to do, and it probably didn't come over too well that Oliver was dawdling in her walk, which led to creeper boy (freak more like) beating her to the punch and tossing out some half-hearted threat. 'Harr bloody harr...' There was a dragged out sarcasm ringing in the back of her head, like Monster Inc. was in the position to be pre-judging. Although Oliver had to stifle a laugh when she was asked to be the pack leader almost immediately after
βSays the one with an S on his forehead.β Well, metaphorical 'S' for stupid. βBesides, the angry midget's got our flyer now.β Her eyes callously went to the half-pint having a warm reunion with his magic-twin, and for a moment Oliver's thoughts drifted off into several unpleasant scenarios.
Deciding that she could as well add to the pile of extraneous side-kicks (you can never have enough meatshields, amirite?), Oliver placed a foot between the two dragon slayers and deftly yanked the flyer out of minuscule hands. A cold stare glanced at the much shorter boy before promptly offering; βHey, shorty,β Adding fuel, are we? βIs your girlfriend joining us, or do you need a moment to say goodbye?β
Tatsuo was caught off guard by the new dragon slayer as she grabbed his arm, and started jumping up, and down. 'What the hell? Is she a dragon slayer, or a rabbit slayer?' Tatsuo thought to himself, noting her hyperactive nature. "Get off me you weirdo!" Tatsuo ordered. When she finally stopped she began talking about her dragon, which she seemed sad about. 'Well, she is the real deal.' He started to become nervous, he wasn't sure if she was going to start crying or what. He's not quite sure that he could deal with that.
'Crap, what was the dragon's name? It started with a R didn't it?' Tatsuo pondered within his mind about the name he gave his fake dragon daddy. "Um...I'm a Earth Dragon Slayer.....uh.....my dragon's name was Rocirus." Tatsuo stated as he ran his fingers through his hair. What was he going to do if she got into the guild? He can't keep up this lie forever, and with her being a true dragon slayer he doubts that she'll let him be. "He....uh....disappeared a couple years ago." Tatsuo said, obviously uncomfortable with this subject. "Look, just drop it ok? I don't know a thing about this Botanurus." Tatsuo growled, trying to be as un-Tatsuo as he could. He had no clue why he's trying to be nice to her, maybe because she's a dragon slayer as well? Who knows.
They were then interrupted by Oliver. Tatsuo's face turned red when she called Kamiki his girlfriend, but soon it boiled over with rage when he realized she called him Shorty. "Watch your goddamn mouth! I've slapped a bitch for less!" He snarled with a special amount of anger. He was already unhappy about this new dragon slayer, and with her calling him short was just icing on the insecure cake.
"She's not my girlfriend!" Tatsuo made sure to point out as he retook the flyer. He had to make sure they wouldn't leave him behind. "I gotta make sure you guys aren't dumb enough to leave behind the best wizard here, rookie. And she's NOT coming! She's not a member of the guild!" He added as he gave Oliver an angry shoulder bump as he walked past her, and making sure she remembered that he was a class ahead of her. "Let's go Butch." He ordered, obviously referencing the fact she goes by a boy's name.
He walked past the other two, and towards the exit. "Let's go lackeys!" Tatsuo demanded. To add a bit more flare he punched a hole in the wall next to the door. "NOW!"
Kamiki rather reluctantly allowed the other dragon slayer to leave her behind, "hm.... he's busy now... oh well, i can wait till he gets back" she thought, cheering herself up a little, "And if his dragon disappeared a couple years ago then that's a lot later than Botanurus did... maybe there'll be more of a trail to follow... hm..." she thought, briefly attempting to come up with a plan before dismissing the idea, after all dragons don't exactly have to walk along roads to get where they want and a couple of years is more than enough time for a trail to go cold. So instead she turned back towards the interior of the guild again only to stop, her face taking a puzzled expression, "wait... what was i doing again?" she thought out loud, "i was... talking to someone.... oh right!" she exclaimed as she recalled. "I was talking to the drunk lady and the big guy" she thinks aloud as she swiftly returns to the table Valerie and Fadil were at.
"Sorry sorry i got distracted, you know that guy's name right? i wanna make sure to remember him for when he comes back" she said hurriedly, "oh and i still wanna join the guild! I don't even need a lot of money, i already made my own little house a little ways outside town and i'm really good at foraging and hunting, Botanurus taught me lots of good survival things" she says proudly with a broad grin, "especially since you know, i can eat wood, i wish you could do the same thing, tree bark is really tasty you know, it's like um... kinda like beef jerky but really crunchy" she says, beginning to trail off yet again

Re: Storm Shield
I would really love to combine the ideas and make one roleplay out of them.
I am looking for any people who would like to be a part of the new roleplay who are ACTIVE.
You will have to post AT LEAST 3 times a week for each of your characters.
I am going to make a list as people show interest and there will be a limit to each type of magic user.
I'm thinking two of each and then if there are enough people MAYBE a third of some.
I will be putting up an topic in the interest check section if anyone would like to reserve a spot/magic type. Just letting you know, I will be pming EVERYONE who shows interest about how active they plan to be and what is going on for them as I hate it when rps die and won't start one if most people wont be active.
LASTLY! Anyone who has ideas for plot lines, has interest in being a co-gm, or is interested in playing Guild Master please send me a pm! ^-^
