The time for the Tamer League has come, new and old will clash in this game of monsters, but who will come out on top.

2,664 readers have visited Tamer Wars since DarkPhoenix created it.

Introduction

Theme- The Wings of Icarus

The year is 2115, the earth has changed greatly, technology has evolved as it naturally does. Ten years ago, a game developing company known as Northern Wind began development on a game that would change the world forever. This game was known as Project Alpha, the idea behind the game was to have monsters fight each other. However unlike games in the past, this game would not be virtual. Northern Wind wanted to create the ultimate gaming experience one that you could have daily. Their plan was going along perfectly until politicians began bombarding them with questions about safety, the project was almost shut down until corporate executives began to see the possible profits they could make off of this game. using under the table deals and a little blackmail the game was allowed to continue. Three short months after the possible cancellation, Project Alpha was announced to the general public.

Most were skeptical at first, they wondered if it was safe allowing the beings created for Project Alpha into their lives. It only took a few months and almost everyone was hooked on this game. Everywhere you go children and adults would walk around with what the creators of Project Alpha called, "Demons," They were genetically engineered beings that were breed for two things, being pets and fighting. A year after the game's release it was renamed, Tamer Wars, this was to give the public a feel for what this game was really about taming the Demons and having them fight in regulated battles. Tamer Wars was eventually a world wide success and a tournament held by Northern Wind was started, The Tamer League, this tournament was open to players from all over the world. It was successful because it was shown world wide, viewer would cheer for those competing for their country. This game had become the Olympics of gaming.

The time for the Fifty fourth Bimonthly Tamer League is soon to arrive. Players from around the world are preparing to have their chance in the sun. Will the champion be you?

Welcome to the world of the tamer.

Plot

First let me say that this story is an idea I had for a short story, however i realized that this story could make an interesting Roleplay and I can make my short story the back story to this Roleplay. Now that I have said that, down to business. This Roleplay will revolve around the Tamers/Players of this game, some may be champions who are looking for another victory, while others may be newbies looking to make a name for themselves. This Roleplay will be kind of dark as you might have been able to tell from the introduction. This may be about a game, but not everything's about a game is unicorns and rainbows(sorry couldn't think of anything good to say.)

Setting

Our setting is a fictional city called Star City, it is given that name because the advertisements and buildings that litter the city are so bright that you can not see the stars, so artificial stars have been created. I will add information about the city here as/if the Roleplay goes on. The city can be created by all of us, so please try to be descriptive as you write so we can shape this city together.

Information about Tamer Wars

Seeing as the game is a big part of the story, I will go into as much detail as I possibly can about the mechanics of the battle system and the General need to know about the game itself. - As a warning, I am running on like three hours of sleep and may be forgetting things, please tell me if there is something you want to know that isn't here and it will be added.

Demons- First I will talk about Demons, this is the name given to the creatures created for Tamer Wars. Demons are genetically engineered beings, they were created in Northern Wind's labs. They are much stronger than normal animals, they take many different forms, some humanoid and others so abstract you can't tell what they are. Demons have two functions, the pet and fighter function. As a pet they will act like any normal pet, all of them have their own unique personalities and they will show when acting as pets. Each demon has an element(check below) these elements all have their weaknesses and strengths knowing them can help a tamer win the battle. All Demons speak with their Tamers telepathically, it happens when the Tamer makes a bond(Check below) However some demons are capable of speaking without the use of telepathy. A demon can not and will not attack a human who is not a enemy tamer, it is deep within their minds and can not be overwritten. Demons can be found in one of two places, Tamer stores(check below) or Demon reservations. (check below) A tamer who wins the Tamer league is allowed to request their own demon free of charge, the cost of a custom demon is anywhere for two thousand to twenty five thousand dollars.

Tamer Battles- Tamer battles are done with the Tamer(player) and three Demons of their choosing a Tamer uses their Tamer gauntlet(check below) to call their Demon, the Tamer can call all three at once or wait and call them in whatever order he or she wants. When a Demon is called it is locked, meaning that it has been chosen for the battle and must battle until it is defeated, when all three demons are chosen the selected team can not be swapped out meaning the three you pick are the only demons you get. A battle is won when the enemy Tamer is defeated, through submission or knock out. Tamers are able to defend themselves using the abilities, weapons, and armor(check below) of their class(check below)

Battle ground- The battle ground is where all the action of a Tamer Battle happens, battle grounds are interactive holograms that create large areas to battle. No one ever knows what the battle ground will be, it can be an area that will help one side and weaken the other or it can weaken or strengthen both.

Element- Each demon has an element, the elements are

air, earth, water, fire, lightning, darkness, light, Each has their strengths and weaknesses.

Air > Water / Air < Earth,Fire
Earth > Air, Lightning / Earth < Water
Water > Fire, Earth / Water < Air, Lightning
Fire > Air / Fire < Water
Lightning > Water / Lightning < Earth
Darkness = Light
Light and Dark are considered the strongest elements, they are only weak to each other, but they are also strong against each other.

Type- A demons type is how they attack, the types are melee( close range attacking), Magic(Mid range/long range attacking), Ranged(long ranged attacking), Hybrid(mixes two of the types)

Battle level- The battle level of a demon shows how powerful the demon's skills are, Battle levels range from 1-500, 1-100 is ranked at a novice level, 101-200 is average level, 201-300 is intermediate/above average level , 301-400 is expert level, 401-500 is champion level. A demon's battle level goes up after each battle, no matter the outcome.

Win, Novice-5, Average-10,Intermediate-15, Expert- 20, Champion-25

Lose,Novice-2,Average-4,Intermediate-6,Expert-8,Champion-10

When a Demon's level reaches 500 it will stop gaining battle level points, the battle level of a Demon is not always the deciding factor it comes down to planning and skill.

Bond- A bond is the connection made between a tamer and his/her demons. This bond is created by defeating the demon and then binding it to the Tamer gauntlet. This demon then becomes one with its tamer allowing them to plan strategies telepathically.

Tamer Gauntlet- A tamer wears a silver gauntlet which will display a hologram of the Demons they have. They can select the demon they want and it will Call the demon to the Tamer. What the Gauntlet does is teleport the Demon from one location to another. The gauntlet is also used for creating a bond with a demon, the gauntlet will take in the demon and teleport it to the location the Tamer decides they wish all of their demons to be. Most Tamers choose to put them in a reservation for demons with tamers however others choose their home as the place for their demons.

Tamer Stores- A tamer store is where a tamer can get everything they need, Tamer gauntlet, weapon, armor, and demons. A tamer can buy their demon for a set price, the lower the price the lower the battle level of the demon.

Demon reservations- These areas are where Demons are allowed to roam free, Tamers can go to Demon reservations for a small fee, they can battle whatever Demon they wish and make bonds with it if they manage to defeat it. No demon reservations are the same and the types and elements you will find vary.

Class- to allow tamers to fight along side their demons, special armor and weapons had to be created. depending on which a tamer uses they are considered a specific class. the classes are

Warrior- They are the lead, they charge in first and ask questions later.

Mage- calm and calculating, they perform range attacks to keep their enemy on their toes and away from them.

Assassin- They are quick and agile, they use their speed to their advantage. they try their best to be the only ones getting any hits in.

Ranger- They use special bows and arrows or guns to take down their enemy, if you get hit and don't know where the attack came from your dealing with a ranger.

Battlemage- This class is new to Tamer Wars, they are a mix of warrior and mage, however because of that they are weaker with both. However they make up for it with their explosive mixed attacks. Battlemages are to be feared because of their mixed abilities, you never know what they will do.

Fighter- They fight using special gloves, gauntlets and or boots that enhance their fighting skill. Fighters are the type to charge in and take down the enemy, they know how to get the job done.

Trapper- Trappers are exactly what their name suggests, they trap their enemies using the terrain to their advantage. special explosives are their weapons of choice, the trapper is very effective in large Battle grounds, however they can be just as deadly in small areas. a trapper always has something lying in wait.

abilities/weapons/armor- Each class has their own set of abilities, warriors have their strength, mages have their magic, assassins have their speed and stealth, rangers their enhanced sight, battlemages their strength and magic, fighters have their speed and agility and Trappers their ingenuity. However every tamer has an ability a skill that makes them unique, a signature move, a calling card..whatever you call it each tamer has it, it is a skill that can get them out of a jam or just put the enemy on the ropes.
Weapons for each class differ, but what they all have in common is they are not lethal weapons, all weapons are made of a metal material that is hard enough to break bone if swung hard enough, but they can not kill. But to keep Tamers from receiving broken bones each battle it is mandatory in regulated battles to wear armor, the armor is made out of different material depending on the class, however all protect against attacks. Tamer armor has special sensors on them, when hit they give the tamer a shock which is tiny at first, but after getting hit enough the Tamer will feel the effects. it is almost like getting stunned, however not as harmful. The shocks are to force the tamer to submit, but some Tamers can keep going on pure will power, rare, but it does happen.

Tamer League Entrance- There are two ways to get into the Tamer league, one can simply buy their way in which is quite expensive, but for some it is nothing compared to the money they spend on their demons. The second way is to defeat the four station leaders, stations are like the Tamer League but on a smaller scale, Tamers compete in a tournament style until they reach the final fight which is against the station leader. These station battles are daily, so even if a Tamer loses they can try again until they win. Stations range from Novice to Expert, the stations are to be taken on in numerical order to allow the Tamer to progress at a steady slope.

Well that is everything, more will be added when/if it is needed. If your reading this, thank you for sticking through all of this.

Hawke nodded as she was trying to figure out where she had gone. He also nodded for when she asked him about if she had gone in circles, which he then found out that that implied that she lived not far from his shop, yet he had never seen her before. Thing was, he would have remembered somebody like her if she showed up at his shop. Hawke smiled to himself, wondering how he hadn't met Sky earlier. That also made him think about more trivial things, such as: Was her name just Sky (which was great, less to remember!) or was it short for something? His own brain thought on it for a second, and was about to ask the question when she whistled to her Cat Demon. She then said that she was leaving now, and he felt his mood lower slightly. He was having a blast talking to Sky, it was nice to talk to somebody who had the same attitude.

Thanks for the help Hawky. Hawky? That's new. Nobody ever called me that before... He though, a little mischievously. ~ Maybe, if we meet again, you could show me around. That way, I won't get lost again. He flashed her a clever smile "I'll take you up on that." As she turned to walk out. He swore he saw her eyes glitter a little when she smiled. Probably their lighting, they totally needed to get a new bulb. "Hope to see you later Sky. Which reminds me..." He suddenly remembered. "Are you taking part in the Tamer League coming up?"

Before Jarren spoke a word, Kallik lunged forward for Garm's throat, but when she was an inch away from his snout a crack of lightning and she was gone. A second after she disappeared she was behind Garm knocking him forward, and sinking her teeth into his scruff. She was running on full instincts now, since she's got her first taste of Garm's blood in her mouth. She let go and leaped away gracefully. Her tail and hackles were raised as she bared her white teeth down at Garm. Her eyes were flashing red now, no longer black.

Jarren didn't expect Kallik to start fighting so quickly. Of course he had to focus on his adversary and not on Kallik. In a flash he had his long bow off his back and took a step back, watching Katsurou. "Come on Kallik... Make the portal already. Jarren thought to the white wolf. Kallik heard her tamer, and with a swift motion she turned and ran at Jarren. When her body was about to crash into Jarren's, another crack of lightning and they were gone. Jarren was now standing onto of Katsurou's house with an arrow notched, aimed for his opponent. The arrows he was using didn't kill but caused his enemy to be paralyzed for a short amount of time. So basically they were like tranquilizer darts. He closed his eyes for a moment as he let the arrow go flying toward Katsurou.

Suddenly Kallik was there, standing over Garm. She was growling at him, when a memory came across her mind...
"Kallik, Run!!!! Protect him!! Go!!" Kallik was standing there in her human form fighting off some demons, When she heard her old Tamer's voice. She turned and saw Jarren's mother being held down by some humans in black suits.
Kallik snarled as she pushed the memory away. She looked back down at Garm, and saw his throat. She was about to lunge for his throat when she realized what she was about to do. She backed up and growled, waiting for her opponent to get up and fight.

β€œMaaaybe...” The girl responded, smiling as she did so. β€œYou will have to find that out. All. By. Your-self.~” A loud giggling filling the store, before the Mechanic gave Hawke another wave and walk out of the store. Interesting fellow, that Hawke. Even if she wouldn't be seeing him for a while. The man's question made it fairly obvious that he was, most likely, going to participate in the Tamer League as well. So they would definitely cross each other there. Along the way back to the garage, Sky couldn't quite get Hawke out of her head. β€œHe was really nice. Maybe a bit strange. But nice.” Strange? Well, the Tamer couldn't understand how someone wasn't happy about ending up second place. She would've been happy, passing the first round. And she just met someone who was unhappy, ending up second best. At least, Hawke appeared to be unsatisfied with his title.

And, wouldn't you know. Sky had been running circles al along! Though, realized it after she had taken the route Hawke had described for her. β€œI'd better remember this route. Don't want to get lost again!” Entering her house, welcoming herself back home. The Mechanic had herself a little lunch-break. Feeding Tibs and Farkas as well, who both seemed to be a tad bit down. Tibs was, anyway. β€œAwww.~ We'll meet him again soon. If we don't we'll just visit his store. Hihi...~” The girl assured the cat-demon, stroking his blue/green fur. After Sky had finished her lunch, she began packing her gear. Preparing for some routine training with Farkas. After all, one should not join the Tamer League blindly. And the Wolf-demon needed to be trained for any given situation. And, whenever Sky would have time, Tibs would get some exercise as well.

Garm stepped to the side as Kallik lunged for him the first time, then glanced around, wondering where she had gone. He barely had time to register that she had teleported before she struck him from behind, pinning him to the floor. He yelped loudly and attempted to push her off, but she was already off him. He staggered to his feet, keeping a watchful eye on Kallik. This is already shit, he thought to himself. She was so quick, he could barely see her move.

Katsurou, seeing that his opponent used a bow, changed stances, ready to rush at him. If he could get in close, the bow was rendered useless. It wasn't really suitable for a mage, but it would be better than standing back and firing magic after magic at someone who could likely nullify and even counter them with his own special skills. He just had to hope Garm could at least hold Kallik off. Judging by the thoughts transferring from his demon's mind to his, that wasn't going so well. That didn't exactly fill Katsurou with confidence, but he still had to fight. He leaped at Jarren and slashed at him with the blunted sword that worked more like a less-primitive club, but he only caught air. He was gone, and Kallik moved from where Jarren just was to standing back over Garm as he tried to rise. This was going very badly already. Not that he didn't expect this.

Garm's attention shifted to above them, at the roof, where he could sense Jarren's life energy. He saw him fire an arrow at Katsurou, and immediately released the shield spell to defend him. Katsurou, unaware of Jarren's location, glanced around desperately. He knew he was at a disadvantage if he couldn't see the archer, and readied an attack spell for when he did find him. The shield repelled the arrow at a perfect 180 angle, launching it back at the shooter, Jarren. Instinctively, Katsurou fired the lightning bolt in the same direction, hoping that either both would hit for massive damage, or he would dodge right into the bolt. Probably neither, but he had to be optimistic.

As soon as Garm finished casting the shield spell - Retribution, as they liked to call it, the name derived from a weapon in another of his master's favorite games - he returned his attention to Kallik. She seemed unfocused, but then she half-lunged. Garm quickly leaped backwards to avoid it, then found that she was just standing there. Waiting. Unnerving though it was, Garm regained his own focus and growled quietly. It almost instantly turned into a savage snarl as electricity coursed through his body and was discharged in all directions. He didn't have to worry about hitting Katsurou. He was practically immune to that. The only time it really worked on him was that morning, and only because it was at point-blank range. Kallik, on the other hand...

Jarren realized Katsurou was a mage and it was going to be tricky taking him down. When his own bow was reflected, back toward him, Jarren simply side stepped, but when the lightning bolt was coming at him he pulled out his mother's mirror. He didn't know what it did, but his mother was battlemage and said it was great sheid. He put it front of his chest and when the lightning bolt hit it reflected back on Katsurou. He was about to grin when he slipped backwards, and off the roof, but luckily he was able to onto the drip edge of the house. He looked down and grimaced when he saw how high up he was. He heard a snap and part of the drip edge broke with him but he was concentrating too hard to realize he was going to fall. A crack of lightning and he wasn't anywhere near the rook, but about 15 feet in front of Katsurou. He was going to lift his long bow to shoot when he realized he used most of his energy just to create a portal for himself.

Kallik let out a growl of annoyance when Garm let out bolts in all directions. When they came toward her, Kallik simply turned around and leaped away. When she was sure none of the bolts could get to her she stopped. Her red eyes and teeth were glowing a faint blue now, and so were her claws. She turned around and waited for the lightning bolts to fade away. She ran at Garm, faster then she wanted to and bit into his back fur, using enough pressure to hurt but not to draw blood. She used her shoulder to ram Garm into the ground as she kept ahold of his back fur. Kallik's head whipped away from Garm's back fur and her teeth met Garm's throat. She put enough pressure into her bite to shut Garm's windpipe for a few seconds before she let go and sat down. She shifted into her human form and grinned down at Garm. "I win. You lose."

Maaaybe... You will have to find that out. All. By. Your-self.~ She giggled to him in that cute voice of hers as she walked out. She was different. As he had thought earlier, she had a way of being blunt and straightforward, but extremely bubbly and cute. It was different than all the other schmucks that walked in his store. Not that paying customers were schmucks.. Dammit Hawke, your doing it again. He thought angerly. Over the past few weeks, on a challenge by his friends, he had been trying to not be as straight with people, but it was becoming extremely difficult. While in the army, being blunt was a good thing. You didn't waste words, you just said them and moved on. Being angry came later. But back in the city, apparently people took offence to his methods, as they felt like he was being, quote on quote here, rude. How the hell was telling them what to do rude? He shook his head, annoyed. But then Sky came back to his mind again. It was weird, did he like her or something? He began to ponder that question, but he wasn't very good at that kind of stuff. So he went back to work.

Velox sighed, watching his Tamer sit there. Hawke, you need to really start thinking about the next competition. Velox's voice sounded like a hissing pur, sweet and sketchy all at the same time. Hawke loved the sound. "I figured that, Velox. I ordered a new demon for the competition," Velox wasn't looking too happy about that. He didn't like sharing "Just so we could have a boost on our opponents, having a backup or the ability to save you for later." Hawke knew Velox, as most Demons, loved to fight. He hated being considered second rate. "Look, you and I both know that we need as much team support as possible. Just because I can blow through walls doesn't mean we will win." Hawke shook his head as another person came in, only this person was a bit more familar. It was Mr. Stevens, the Demon Transportation and Delivery Man. He transported demons from different stores, reservations, and more to people or stores.

"Hawke, I have your order." Mr Stevens said smiling. Both of them knew each other quite well, as Mr. Stevens delivered Demons to their shop quite often. He handed Hawke a bulb like thing, and he look up puzzled. This was a knew method of transporting demons. "One Water Demon, as requested, for..." He paused. "Holy shit Hawke, they gave you quite a bit of money didn't they." Hawke nodded, best leave it at that. "The demon, Tempest, has an issue with being in pet mode, as the smallest he can get it 10 feet." Hawke's eyes widened as Mr. Stevens continued. He seriously didn't see that coming. "And Tempest has an issue with land. So, plug that into your gauntlet and he will be able to communicate to you through it. The bubble just holds the info and other crap."

Hawke looked down and plugged the demon into his gauntlet. Immediately, a picture of the demon appeared, and a booming voice racked his brain. I am Tempest. I will serve.

Katsurou was unfazed by the reflected bolt, just wondering where the hell his opponent pulled that mirror-shield from. He smiled again, however, when he realized he was knocked back off the roof. He just stared at him for a second, then readied his most powerful skill, the one he called Ragnarok Flame. It was far too destructive to be used safely in a place like this at full power. Not that hellfire was ever safe, but this was his house. He wasn't risking it. Instead, he opted to use a weaker version of the skill. He converted all of his magic energy into flame that covered his body. It was an impressive sight, and so was its full power, but it drained all of his magic. He was rendered unable to use more for a short time afterward, but the last time he used Ragnarok Flame, he didn't need to continue. The enemy was killed instantly. But that was a long time ago, and it was also the full skill, so maybe it would just burn Jarren nicely. The flame covering Katsurou suddenly dissipated, then reappeared surrounding Jarren. It engulfed him in the same way as it did Katsurou, who grinned maniacally but called off the magic as he sensed Garm's loss to Kallik. The flame lasted long enough to stop Jarren from fighting any further, especially if he found no way to defend. And as far as Katsurou knew, most humans didn't have natural elemental resistance, and even he wasn't resistant to fire, so he wasn't sure about how casting it worked for him. It was an instinctive thing, like most things he did. All he knew was that it did work, and that was all that mattered to him. Though maybe studying how this skill worked could open up hundreds of new possibilities, but now wasn't the time to think of that.

Garm ended the barrage of lightning bolts after another short burst, and sighed in slight fatigue. But even that took too long. Kallik quickly tackled him, biting him on the scruff of his neck, and they tumbled to the ground. Garm had barely stopped rolling before he felt her glowing fangs pressing down on his throat. Her grip was just tight enough to stop him from breathing, a time during which he struggled futilely, trying to whimper or yelp, something. If she wanted to, she could have killed him right then and there, and that's what made Garm accept his defeat. In a real battle, that was where he would have lost. He looked up at her from the ground as she returned to her human form and loomed over him.

"I win, you lose," she said, grinning. Garm, panting slightly, didn't even bother to stand. She was good, he would give her that. But sometimes, it seemed like she was moving far too quickly for the fight to be fair. He never got to see clearly whether she was teleporting everywhere or if she really was that fast, but he had no chance either way. She seemed confident, as well. Now he knew why: it was almost impossible to avoid her attacks, and when they did connect, her enemy's life was entirely in her hands. The only reason he recovered from her last attack was because she basically allowed him to. That bothered him, but he accepted his loss nonetheless. Now, he wondered if she would go for her master's opponent next, or if her fighting ended with him. Katsurou seemed to think his opponent was in a checkmate, but if another pawn was added to the board, it could turn the tables. Needless to say, Garm wasn't fond of the idea. He wanted Katsurou to win. His own loss was a little shameful, he hoped Katsurou could redeem them both. Then again, Kallik was a worthy opponent. Maybe he should have been glad just to fight her. Judging by Jarren's reaction towards her speaking back then, she seemed to be a mysterious demon. Garm wasn't sure how he felt about that.

Jarren stumbled backwards when the flames engulfed him. He covored his face using the sleeve of his jacket. When he senses the flames dying out, he looked up at Katsurou and let out a cough. "Nice move." He stood up and looked down at himself. His clothes were covored in soot and ash and the only thing that freaked him out was his shoes. "But you have to limit it next time." He looked over at Kallik and Garm and scowled.

Kallik looked up over at Katusou and her Tamer. Jarren didn't look so well and you could tell that Katsurou won the fight. She didn't seem bothered at all by Jarren almost getting killed by fire or that he had fallen off a roof and almost killed himself by making a portal. She shifted into her wolf form and snorted at the thought Jarren actually winning a fight. Her red eyes were slowly turning into her usual black eyes with silver specks in them. She glanced down at Garm and let out a bark of excitement and then bounced away slowly but graceful. She bared her teeth in a mock snarl and jumped down into a playbow.

"You fought well enough," Katsurou chuckled, looking down at his beaten opponent. Maybe he was right, that he should limit Ragnarok Flame's power further next time. He didn't know just how powerful it was, but apparently, it was quite strong. If the weakened version was too much for Jarren, the full skill must have been incredible. He looked towards Garm and saw him rise enthusiastically and bark, grinning and wagging his tail rapidly. He was proud of the victory. Katsurou sheathed the magic sword with his usual stylish flourish and smiled to him, watching him and Kallik.

Garm turned back to Kallik as she barked excitedly and dropped into a playful crouch. He wondered what kind of game she had in mind, but copied the stance regardless, ready to adapt to whatever she was going to do. He had a slightly bad feeling about it, since she seemed like the kind of demon who would have a slightly messed up idea of a game, but he had a feeling it would be fun as well.

Jarren looked back at Katsurou and let out a low chuckle. "Well should have told you I'm not great at fighting... with.. well with demons. I just got Kallik about a month ago." He remembered the day he got the call. He was in his living room watching the News when the phone rang. He answered and... Well He shook his head as if he could physically push away the memories. "She really isn't supposed to be my Demon. Isn't. Not really. Thinking of selling her or I don't know." He grimaced as he looked back over at Kallik and Garm.

Kallik smiled a feral wolfish smile and leaned forward and nipped Garm's ear then took off running at slow gait away from him. When she was about six feet in front of him she turned quickly and landed back in a play bow. Her tail was raised and the silver specks in her eyes were glowing brighter second by second.

"Don't worry," Katsurou replied. "I'm not used to it either. The best I could do was fighting against Garm, so I just know how to defend against him. We still need to work on a lot of things, and..." He trailed off, tilting his head at Jarren. "Something bothering you?" he asked.

Garm barked at Kallik, grinning, and bounded after her once she stopped moving away. He quickly pounced, but fell short in a feint. He almost instantly moved to tackle her, so quickly that if she wasn't so inconceivably quick she wouldn't be able to react fast enough. But he had seen her speed, and was almost sure she could keep up with him. He had never played like this before, he was just doing what came naturally. He never really involved himself with others, just like his master. This was new, but it was fun.

Back in the locker room, Ash sat with his back against the locker he had claimed for his own. His sword was laying on the floor with the hilt closest to his hand and his shield he still held close to him. He had just caught his breath from his first fight of the night and was looking quite relaxed. Above him Rose fluttered and hovered as dust fell from her wings onto Ash, evaporating into his flesh, renewing him. This was one of her skills, Wish for Healing. The name of the skill suited it perfectly, as she hovered rhythmically over Ash with fingers interlocked in front of her face and her eyes closed. It appeared as if she was praying.

Finally, Ash spoke, "That's enough Rose. I'll be fine for the next round. Just sit down and rest," He said, flashing her a caring smile. A smile which she reciprocated and landed on his shoulder once more. There they chattered. Going over battle plans and strategies... Like that would help. Plans were nice, true, but they all went to hell on first contact. The only real plan Ash used was beat the hell out of the other team. Simple, quick, effective. He then remembered who his next foe was. Some man by the name of Melian Deveut and his demon worm. This was to be interesting for sure.

Time passed, and before long it seemed Ash and Rose was up once more for their round. They stepped into the cage, Rose holding on to the bit of armor on Ash's shoulder and peering. Ash had a hard grip on both the sword and the shield as he stared at his opponent, and awaited the announcer's go. The man across him was tall. Taller than he was, with wild blond hair... and hot pink armor. That was decided then, the man was crazy. Obviously. To his side, his demon, half in the ground half out of it, waited. Ash pulled the shield up to his face and wiped the bit of sweat from his forehead. As she did, he spoke with Rose, as his face was obscured from Melian's view.

"Right. We know what kind of demon he has, it's going to be coming from underground. I want you to focus the shield at my feet, yeah? I'd rather not get tackled from below," he said with a confident grin. Rose nodded.

"We are in the Semi-final ladies and gentleman and these two here will fight for our pleasure! The man with red hair and the fairy on his shoulder! Ashley Rush!", Ash winced at the sound of his full name, "Dammit, I bloody told them it was Ash...," He muttered under his breath. The announcer continued, "And his opponent, the man with the deathworm in hot pink armor! Melian Deveut!," to which he gave a generous wave to the audience. "Will this have a fairy tale end for Ashley, or will he become worm food!" Right... The announcer was clearly scratching the bottom of the barrel to think of witty sayings.

Fight!

And just like that, it was on. Ash shoved off with a foot and propelled himself towards Melian, Rose still clinging to the bit of shoulder armor. He couldn't do much about the large subterrian worm, but if he could knock out the tamer, then it would be all over. Establishing the mental link with Rose he said, don't forget my Wish for Protection, at which his reply was, I didn't, look at your feet.

Sure enough, as Ash ran, the nearly invisible film of Protection sparkled lightly under his feet, shifting to his each step. As he looked up, he was greeted with the sight of the man going about, setting traps. Yet, the worm was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, he felt the tremors from the large creature burrowing underground. He felt the ground under his feet shake relentlessly as the great worm erupted from underneath. The force caused Ash to be propelled upward, slamming Rose against his armor.

Yet the magical shield help up and kept Ash away from the ravenous jaws of the worm. The teeth could not peirce the shield. instead pushing him over the top and sliding down the back. Mentally, he gave orders to Rose Aid! Aid! Wish for Aid! and with that, Ash glowed a dull amber color as the shield around his feet disapated. As soon as the warrior hit the dirt, he was running. Running faster than normal human feet should. He made a bee-line straight for Melian, tripping traps as he ran. His speed was great enough that the resulting traps had no time to catch him. A bear trap clutched at air, an explosion tore at the ground, and darts slammed into nothing. The traps were of no importance, it was the worm he worried about.

He tossed a look backwards to see the worm heading back from the ground. The mental link fired up again, Kill the aid Rose, protect our worm friend... From the ground he thought with a smirk on his face. A mischievious smirk Rose also had as she left the side of Ash and hovered towards the worm. As she did, she took up her wishing stance, fingers interlocked and eyes closed, as the film of protection engulfed the upper half of the worm. As it tried to slam itself head first into the ground, the shield rejected it. It was like two magnets being pushed together. The harder the worm strained to break ground, the harder the sheild stood. The effort was apparent on the little form of Rose, face crunched up in effort. She needed to by Ash some time.

Ash didn't look back again, trusting Rose to keep the worm from burrowing under ground. he had closed the gap between himself and Melian. Now began the fight between the two tamers. Ash, being the warrior, threw the first blow. A swipe of his sword towards the midsection. Dodged by the tall man and countered by... Him swinging his bag of traps at Ash. Ash pulled up his shield and the bag bounced off of the suface... before exploding, tossing both Ash and Melian backwards.

Being behind the shield at the time of detonation, Ash was relatively unharmed by the band, but Melian did not look all that well. He looked confused and disoriented. Ash got to his feet and strode confidently back to the Tamer. The trapper didn't have his bag of tricks anymore and Rose still had the worm preoccupied. Ash held the sword at the man's throat, and merely raised an eyebrow. Melian held up his hands, and shrugged. Submitting.

"And we have a winner! Melian submits, Ashley wins!"

Jarren looked up at Katsurou and snorted. "Wrong? Nope.... Nothing... None that I know of." He turned his attention back on Kallilk. He watched her intently until he blinked. "Hey? Can you do me a favor? Could you watch Kallik until I find a new job? The owner of the job I had before, hated Demons. Just until I find a new job?" He asked. his voice was so smooth you probably wouldn't believe he was lying. Well not about his job, but about nothing being wrong. Everything was wrong. He owned a demon he didn't want.

Kallik stayed where she was and when Garm was about to tackle her, she fell sideways, onto her back. She turned to the left when Garm landed on top of her and pushed him off, throwing him sideways. She got to her feet and looked down at Garm. Her eyes were sparkling with excitement but when she saw Garm's throat she whimpered....

"Remember Kallik? You promised. When fighting you promised not go for the kill." Jarren's mother stood in front of her. At the foot of Jarren's mother was a regular dog, but it was dead. Kallik remembered the dog, it was Jarren's but she had killed it. Kallik looked back up at her Tamer and nodded....

Kallik backed up and walked back to Jarren. She sat down beside him and turned her gaze on Katsurou.

When Riven saw it was time for her battle she looked over at Silver, he was calm like he had been through thousands of battles like this before. Riven gripped her katana and got out of her seat, she walked out of the dressing room and as she made her way to the cage the crowd roared. She looked towards them, but she began to drown them out. All she needed was two more wins and she would get to face Mad Max, if she made it that far she was going to get money no matter what. She had to win this for her family so she couldn't allow the crowd to unnerve her. Her and Silver entered the cage, she looked across from her waiting for Maxi to enter. Silver placed his hand on her shoulder and said "I will be here for you, we will do this." Riven nodded, her grip on the katana tightened not because she was scared or nervous, but because she was ready.

Maxi grinned as the roar of the crowds got louder and louder. The opponent was already within the cage by the sounds of it. He took a deep sigh then looked towards his demon. "It's time buddy... Just a few more then we'll be able to pwn Max..." Scizet nodded swiftly. In fact he wasted no time heading through the doors towards the arena. Maxi blinked bluntly then chased after him, it was no time for playing games. The tourney was becoming serious, and by the words of it, this Riven person was fairly strong. Not that Maxi judged anyone depending on the looks of their demon nor the tamer themselves. Or did he?

The crowds roared endlessly, eager to get their dose of tamer vs tamer and demon vs demon brawls. By now the little bug demon had already made it into the cage, glaring into the eyes of the two rivals. His miniature claws sparkled slightly, as he began to taunt them.

Soon enough Maxi had made it into the cage, with the door slamming behind him, there was no escape now. It was all or nothing, shame or fame.. Riches or Rags. Cautiously, Maxi looked at the two which stood before them. At first they didn't look like much.. But then again, neither did he or Scizet. He grinned at them both while rubbing the back of his head. "Let's make this the fight of the night." With that said, Maxi switched from his relaxed stance to his offensive one, No time for games Scizet, lets finish this as quick as possible. His demon took one more step forward before replying. Understood

Riven smiled at Maxi, she had watched his matches and she knew he was good. However, she was going to give it her all. She may have been new to Tamer Wars, but she wasn't new to fighting. Riven ran her hand along her sword and watched as green flames engulfed it. She then said to Silver, "lets do this." The bell rang and Riven changed Maxi while Silver charged Scizet, Silver used Dark blade to create a black sword. He was going for a clean hit across Scizet's chest.

Riven was going for a leg strike, she was going to try and take out Maxi's legs. She had to immobilize him before he could strike her, she was at a disadvantage without armor so she had to make sure she didn't get hit with any direct hits. Silver was keeping an eye on her while charging Scizet. Silver knew Riven could get hurt so he would step in if he had to.

Maxi was surprised that Riven was pretty quick on her feet, in fact she caught him off guard since he was expecting to make a move first. With no hesitation the armor less female, swiped at his legs, casing him to fall on the hard cold ground. He winched a little, he hadn't hit the floor in a long time. But now he was in trouble, he needed his legs to perform his strikes and attacks. With out them and he'd be useless.. Static flowed through the tips of his fingers, creating a sparking sound. Swiftly he pushed himself from off the ground, facing Riven face to face. He wanted to end this quickly, and the fact that she'd had no armor on at all meant everything was just a little bit easier for him. His feet began to move swiftly in one spot, comparing to the agility of a profession boxer within a world champion match. Closely, his fists were held up to his face, keeping a good protection. Switching from defensive to offensive, he went for a right jab (Punch) but merely used it as a dummy. It was the left fist that she had to look at for, since he was left handed. Electricity pulsed from his left fist as he went for a swift jab towards her gut. If it were to hit, he body would be shocked at high rated voltages.

As for Scizet, he had dropped into his defensive form. Seeing the great demon rush towards him with a weapon of terror simply fed him with more confidence for battle. He was pumped and was not ready to lose to anyone. With his claws held towards his chest creating a x shaped block. The blade dug into his blades, as he forcefully tried to overpower Silver by pushing him back ever so slightly. Clearly this was all in vain, there was no way they he was going to beat him in pet form. At a certain point, Scizet transformed into his Battle mode, his blades were now extended, sharper and more powerful. Yet something had surprised him. For some reason Silver was still able to push him back. Nevertheless, Scizzadrone noticed that using pure strength won't get him anywhere in this battle. He'd have to use some kind of different skill, his speed against him. Or his variety of different battle styles. Electrical waves began to charge within the palm of his claws. Hopefully this would buy him some time.

Riven watched as Maxi feel and got back up so quickly, however that is what she wanted him to do. He was standing on that leg she had just swept at meaning he should be feeling some discomfort. It would put him slightly of balance meaning she could use that to her advantage. She shifted her stance as Maxi came in for a punch, she was sideways allowing her skinny figure to work for her making her a smaller target. She was in a stance that would allow her to counter attack however she didn't notice the left punch until it was slightly to late. She was punched not in the gut where Maxi was aiming but the lower left side of her ribcage, it hurt but she could use this to her advantage. She caught Maxi's arm with her left arm, the voltage going through her strengthening her grip like a person having a seizure however, she was controlling it. Her breathing hastened as she gripped her Katana and turned her body, she was still holding on to Maxi's arm, she was going for a direct hit. The flames on the sword were intense as she yelled out "firebolt" just as the sword reached Maxi, it caused an explosion forcing Riven to let go and pushed her back away from Maxi.

She dropped down to one knee, using her Katana as a crutch. She was panting, she had never expected she would have to use her body as a shield just to get a direct attack. She looked at her body, it was bruised however she could keep going. This is why she trained in kendo and judo , to train her body for fights like this. She never expected to be a tamer, but now that she was she would use all the skills she had to defeat her enemies. She looked at the sword and the flames were now extinguished, using firebolt to create a fireball used up all of the flames. She looked at the steam and dust cloud that was blocking her view from Maxi. She knew he might use it to his advantage so she stood up and took a defensive stance. If he charged in she would be able to flip him over if he went for a punch and she could grab his leg if he went in for a kick.

Silver backed away as Scizet began to let off electrical waves, silver then smiled and watched as his blade was engulfed in flames like Riven did with her katana. Silver then let off a hellfire by swinging his blade. The ball of black fire shot toward Scizet at great speed, this would buy Silver a few seconds, he turned to Silver and said "are you alright?" She nodded and Silver then began to back up a bit to be closer to Riven. He had a plan that he wanted to use, Riven looked toward him and said telepathically "I'm hurt, but I can keep moving. I have a plan that might work, however I need you to go along with this perfectly." Silver nodded and then charged Scizet and unleashed a second Hellfire as he charged he planed to use the hellfire as a makeshift smokescreen and if Scizet dodged he would be struck by Silver's blade and if he didn't dodge he would still be hit with the hellfire.

Maxi stood there, he was badly bruised, luckily he had armor or that attack would have defeated him. however, he was free to go on, he looked at the dust and smoke wondering what Riven was planning behind it. He knew striking fast was his best option, he charged in at great speed and was ready to deliver a punch however when he came through the smoke Riven was ready for him. She grabbed his left arm and threw him to the ground, when he hit he quickly got up however Riven struck him in his leg again before he was prepared. She then ran behind the dusty cloud.

Scizet saw the hellfire and instinctively dodged just to be stuck in the side by Silver. Scizet then counterattacked by taking the hit and delivering a strike of his own onto Silver's shoulder. Silver took the hit hard and dropped to one knee, Scizet went for another strike thinking he could finish this, but Silver brought his blade up and delivered a direct Hellfire to Scizet's exposed chest. Silver slowly got up and Scizet did the same, they then charged each other delivering a series of strikes and counters.

Riven looked at Silver at telepathically said "Just wait for it." Silver nodded, then saw at Maxi came toward Riven and began striking at her, Riven then launched at firebolt into the ground causing dust and smoke to cover her. She then struck Maxi in the side and rolled away from the smoke. Riven ran to Silver and said "now!" as Maxi came through the smoke and sand charging quickly Silver switched with Riven and delivered a powerful Hellfire to Maxi while Riven blocked Scizet. Maxi feel backward, but then rolled himself up. He was breathing heavy, this battle was drawing to a close. Both tamers were weakened and it was time for a victor to be crowned, Riven jumped back away from Scizet and allowed Silver to take over, but not before he used Hellfire on her blade. Riven looked at the blade and nodded. She knew what this meant, she added her own green flames to the blade and then charged Maxi who had been charging up. He dashed toward Riven with all his might, Riven waited till his got close and unleashed a powerful Fireball from the tip of her sword, the flames were mixed with Silver's flames and her own. The beautiful mix of green and black lit up the cage, she could then see Maxi's static energy working its way through the flame Riven was worried Maxi was going to overpower her flame, she then launched a firebolt straight through the flames that hit Maxi in the shoulder setting him off balance for a split second, that was all it took the flames engulfed the static energy absorbing it and with it Maxi. when the flames cleared Maxi was on the ground.

Riven sank to the ground exhausted and happy, she had won the battle barely. She looked at her wounds, she placed her hand on her bruised rib and winced. She was in no shape to face her next opponent, Silver made his way to Riven as the Announcer said "We have a winner!" Silver helped Riven up and said "I told you, we will win his." Riven smiled as she used Silver as a crutch, she made her way over to Maxi and said "You are a incredible fighter, I hope we meet again." Silver then helped her out of the cage and into the dressing room. A medical team was there and they said "we can't have to dying on us, so sit back and we will have you ready for the next fight." Riven sighed and said under her breath "oh joy."

β€œThere, everything has been set up.” Sky announced to herself, gently pulling a thin fishing rope. It took a few hours, but then you have something for it in return. What had she been working on you ask? A parkour of course. No, not for herself, but for Farkas to get some exercise. But, it wouldn't be a parkour made by Sky if it hadn't had any traps. She knew the wolf-demon wouldn't just get to face Trappers in the league, but it was all the Mechanic could train her for. This was one of the reasons why she wanted to ask Hawke for a friendly fight. But with the fellow's arm... it wouldn't have been possible without any handicaps.

β€œI am all dah-one!~” Sky cheerfully made her way out of her own park, making sure she didn't set off any traps. β€œYou know what to do, don't you? Just find the hidden treat!” Farkas wagged her tail, immediately positioning herself in the starting area. β€œAaaaand... GO!” Sky yelled out, signalling that the wolf could begin her exercise. It was rather convenient, having a large open field on one of the edges of the slums. And since no-one ever really got here, Sky occasionally made her own parkour. Sometimes a large one for Farkas, or a small one for Tibs. Though, the cat-demon wasn't her main fighter, and therefore the little pet didn't need as much training as Farkas did.

While the Tamer had made her way up on the finish line, which was oddly enough a small ledge, and hardened, cardboard walls in front of it with a peeking hole. This made it impossible for Farkas to see her, as well as know that it was there, where her master had hidden the treat. Speaking of treats, the wolf had found one, or so she thought. A small chunk of meat, not in sight of course, but hidden in a small, cardboard box. Sky watched, giggling silently as she knew what was coming.

β€œWrauwwwww!”

Ah! the good old shock-trap. β€œI said treat, Farkas. Not meat. Hihi...!” The Mechanic gently placed her left hand in front of her mouth, making sure the wolf-demon wouldn't hear her giggling. Luckily, she didn't and continued her search, slightly damaged from the shock. It wasn't a large shock, of course. If Sky would've done that, it might injure her demons. Which was cruel, and it wouldn't help her much if she entered the league with injured demons. Nonetheless, Sky was sure Farkas would get her back on that trick.

The wolf-demon was getting better at evading traps though. She only triggered a total of four traps. Which is a huge improvement from the last training, which Farkas had triggered a total of ten traps. As soon as the wolf entered the finish-line, she was greeted by her master handing her a dog-snack. Or, a cookie in human language. β€œGood, girl! I knew you could do it!” Farkas growled at first, she didn't like it when Sky fooled her with fake treats. Even if it was training. β€œHow about we go disable the remaining eleven traps? And then call it a day?” The Mechanic smiled, stroking the wolf's dark fur. After Sky had given her demon another treat, she went inside the parkour herself, disabling the remaining traps. After all, even if no-one was here when she was, there was no telling what would happen if the traps remained here and someone was unfortunate enough to locate them and activate said traps. They were harmless, of course. But sky wouldn't want to be on bad terms with anyone.

"You mean, take care of her?" Katsurou tilted his head. The idea was quite sudden, and he suspected that, despite what Jarren said, something really was wrong. Katsurou said nothing about it but nodded slightly, only a second after he finished talking. Why not? Maybe having two demons would be an advantage for the tournament, and Garm could do with a friend. Looking over at them, Katsurou could see the two enjoying their time together, but he couldn't sense Kallik's emotions. He didn't know what she and her master seemed to be going through. He wondered what would happen, if he really did want him to keep Kallik.

Garm was quickly thrown off of Kallik and rolled to his feet the moment he hit the ground again, just in time to catch Kallik suddenly stop advancing as he moved back into the playful crouch. She looked depressed. Confused, even. Garm's tail slowly stopped wagging and he stood up straight. He padded towards her a little, still out of range of her attacks. He gave a curious whine, asking if she was all right, and she suddenly turned and walked towards the two tamers, sitting next to Jarren. Garm followed and sat next to Katsurou, still looking at Kallik with a concerned expression.

Jarren thought to himself for a moment and nodded slowly. "Just until I find a new job with a more.... happy perspective to Tamers and Demons. Um, Kallik should so everything you ask to do, she just doesn't talk much. Right kallik?" He asked looking down at the white wolf beside him. Kallik blinked then shifted into her human form and spoke to show that she did talk. "Of course."

Jarren let out a sigh of relief. "Okay. Now what do you say, Katsurou?" He asked using Katsurou. Kallik watched Katsurou, curiously then turned her gaze on Jarren, then back on Katsurou. "You know I'm right here. Living, breathing, Hu... Demon." She shooked her head bitterly as she realized that she almost said human instead of Demon. "What has the world come to? Male Domination over the world... so sad." She spoke lightly with a teasing tone.

Katsurou wasn't entirely sure he wanted to keep Kallik. They were still strangers, after all. But still, he was curious about her. She seemed different from most demons he'd seen. He'd like to know what was different about her, if he really was correct in thinking that was the case, so he decided to accept. Or, he would have, had Kallik herself not interrupted the conversation. Almost mentioning she was human - though he let that slide - she teased at how the deal went on without her.

"Well, I'm all right with taking her in for a while," Katsurou said. "But I'll leave the decision to her." He sensed slight excitement in Garm's mind. It seemed that Kallik didn't like Jarren much, if at all, so chances were she might leave him. But like he thought earlier, they were still strangers. In a world like this, it was rarely a good idea to trust someone mostly unknown, so she might decide that staying with him was a better idea. There was also the point that, since demons were such an integral part of life now, jobs that were against them should have been rare. Not that he knew. Ever since the day he met Garm, he was never in need of anything, least of all a place to work.

Riven stood up from here chair, it was time yet again for her to fight. Her body ached, her ribs were healed however they still hurt. The medical team did what they could in the short amount of time. Silver stood beside her, he placed his hand softly on her shoulder and said "You can leave this all to me." Riven nodded and she slowly made her way to the cage, the crowded once again roared for her. She had made it all the way to the final match, she only needed to face one last opponent and the money would be hers. She knew that Ashley would be that opponent and he seemed like the kind of person who wouldn't give up without a fight and in her condition she wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight.

Silver created his blade and prepared himself for the battle to come, Riven sat down and got into a meditation position. Much like she would do before a match at Kendo practice. This helped calm her nerves, it also cleared her mind. She would need to use everything in her arsenal to win this match. Silver looked down at her with a smile on his face, he had something planned that not even Riven knew about.

Ashley came out of the hall way and stood across the arena from Silver and Riven, rubbing his neck. The fight after Melian's took a bit out of him and Rose both, yet he wouldn't back down from a fight, despite Rose's suggestions. Earlier before Riven's fight in the locker room, Ashley had sat down and tried to rest. Rose healed him up once more, although this healing did not have the potency of the last, due to the fact she had already used it once. "You sure you don't want to stop Ash? This is this last time I'll be able to heal you, and even then it's not going to be as good as the first one," She had said in her wishing stance.

"Damn sure," he said confidently, "If I can just win one more, we'll have guaranteed money. And we both know how we need it. I won't ask mom and dad for any more, when I moved out, I said I would support myself. That's what I aim to do," He had said. Rose sighed, understanding she wouldn't dissuade him either way. "Fine... You're so pig-headed," She said, finishing up the healing. Ash gave a weak smile, "Of course I am. I was born that way."

Ash wiped the sweat from his face with his shield hand, and once again initiated the mental link. One more. One more and we have guaranteed money. When it begins, wish for protection. Concentrate it all in front. His response? Of course... Ash.. Be careful.

"Always," He said aloud.

Riven opened her eyes and slowly got up, her mind was clear the only thing she could hear was Silver thinking about what his attacks would be. Riven looked at Silver and said "Lets do this." Silver nodded and then they both watched as the announcer stood before the crowd and said "Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for. This fight will go down in history, in the left corner we have Riven our talented newbie and in the right corner we have Ashley, our manly one man army." The crowd roared and stomped their feet and then they went quiet when the bell rang.

Silver took off toward Ashley like a rocket, Silver then jumped into the air planning to come down on Ashley using the momentum of the fall. Riven empowered her sword with the green flame, she took a stance with her right leg in front and her torso slightly turned to the left. She then released the flame in a firebolt creating a green fireball. She wanted to cover Silver as he attacked, but she wanted to find a opening in Ashley's defense. His shield ad sword combination would make it hard to attack him, however with every style there is an opening it just has to be located.

You block the fireball. All of your energy in front! Ash said turning his attention, and shield, upwards towards silver. If it connects with my shield, that's it, no more protection, she replied from his shoulder. She heard the mental curse from Ash, yet his face was placid. "So be it," he said aloud. With that sentence, the ethereal film surged and collected in front where the fireball would impact.

The fireball was the first to connect and Ash felt the heat come off of the attack as it caused him to take a step back. He felt the magical shield disintegrate with the fireball, and sensed the strain coming from Rose. The fireball surged around the shield and blocked his view for a second, but quickly regained sight of Silver. Wasn't too hard considering the demon was upon.

Ash bent his knees to help absorb the impact of the clash as the Demon's sword made contact with his shield. The force was great enough to force Ash to one knee and sparks flew from the shield, yet he held strong with a clear amount of effort scrawled upon his face.

Then he growled. A feral growl, one Rose rarely heard. "My turn," He muttered and surged forward with his shield. He shot off of his knee and attempted to push Silver back. After his sudden surge, Ash tried to swipe his shield to the left to get Silver's sword out of the way, followed by an overhead slash with his own sword.

Riven watched as Ash was hit by her fireball, however it seemed like it was easily blocked. She saw as Ash and Silver connected, Silver's blade against Ashley's shield. Suddenly Silver was in a tight spot when Ashley was about to come down with his sword however it was blocked by a second sword, Silver had created a second sword in his left hand. Riven didn't even know he could do that, Silver pushed Ashley back and jumped away. He knew it was dangerous to stay that close to a person with a shield, Silver didn't want to get bashed with it and end up on the ground.

Riven began making her way toward Silver, when she reached him She held her blade with katana with both hands. The green flame on her blade had been depleted from the fireball, she then said to Silver telepathically. "I'll need a hellfire" Silver nodded and tapped his left sword against Riven's and watched black flames surround it. Riven then nodded to Silver who charged in from the right while Riven went to the left. When Riven got closer to Ashley she released yet another fireball however this one was black it would act as a smokescreen if Ashley blocked it allowing Silver a chance to attack. Silver saw this a released a hellfire, it was in the shape of a fireball this meant Silver was going to allow Riven the chance to attack if Ashley blocked his flame. They were both thinking in sync, complementing each others moves and plotting their next one.

Riven had already thought of a plan if Ashley dodged both of the flames by jumping back. She and Silver were still charging in even if Ashley dodged the flames both she and Silver would be able to attack him with their blades.

"Dammit, damn demons!" Ash cursed as Silver created another sword in his left hand. Rose pipped up with a high-pitched "Hey!" as Ash was pushed back. She held on for dear life as he stumbled, but he regained footing again. He quickly pulled the shield up to cover his torso and peered at both Silver and Riven from behind it. His sword was held out to the side intimidatingly, ready for use.

Riven walked up, the fire on her sword dimly flickering. Ash let out a breath of relief. Seems like she wouldn't be able to throw another one of them balls at him again. That freed up one problem. At least he thought it did. That idea was smashed when Silver reignited her blade with black fire. "Oh, come on, do you see that noise!?" He barked. Rose couldn't help but stifle a laugh before adding, "It's not going to be that easy."

Then they were off. They. Seems like Riven decided to join the fight. Well, that gave Ash his target. His eyes first followed Riven darting off, but then caught Silver doing the same in the opposite direction. Ash gritted his teeth. He couldn't just charge off after Riven, that'd leave his back open to Silver. And he couldn't just shift focus to Silver, that would give Riven a clear shot with one of them fireballs.

Wish for Aid. Give me strength in my legs. He muttered. He wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of retreating. Ash was too headstrong to just up and back off. He needed to push the offensive. He needed to put his raw and animistic strength to use. Ash slunk down into a low stance, leg muscles coiled, ready to spring. His shield was pointed towards Riven, while his sword outstretched to Silver. Ready, a sweet voice echoed in his head.

Wait for it... he responded. Riven was gaining distance on him. Wait... Silver was quickly encroaching. Any second. Then he witnessed Riven sling a black fireball at him. Perfect! Now! he said mentally, jumping high into the air. The aid enhanced jump was angled to that he would land behind Silver, hopefully having the fireball strike him instead of Ash. Either way, As soon as his feet touched ground, he was off. His magically enhanced muscles pushed him further than normal human speed could match. The effort was apparent on both the faces of Ash and Rose, yet he put that out of his mind. He didn't have time to think about it.

He charged the back of Silver behind his shield, looking to bash the demon with it. The increased speed and power of his legs meant that he gained on Silver rather quickly... But at what cost?

Riven saw as Ash dodged her attack so easily, she then thought to herself "Damn, his fairy with her skills saved him." Silver however was more focused on Ashley's next move. He saw as he landed behind him not giving him a second to think. Silver did the first thing that came to mind protect himself. Silver's blades were engulfed in his hellfire as he did a quick turn unleashing a circular wave of flames around him. He hoped Ashley would stop his charge after seeing the flames, but Silver had a feeling Ash was going to pull something. He then saw Riven charging toward him, however if Ashley had something planned Riven would be to late. But that would also protect Riven, Silver knew that even if he got attacked, he would survive the attack. Riven on the other hand was in a fragile state.

Riven saw she wasn't going to make it in time, she did the only thing she could think of she launched a firebolt low to the ground. it picked up dust and dirt from the ground. This would give her the chance she needed to assist Silver the dust would pick up into the air and blind both Silver and Ashley if it worked correctly and if Ashley kept charging he would run into Silver, but that also meant he wouldn't see her coming from behind the dust cloud.

Ashley was too headstrong to stop his charge at the sight of Silver spinning around, conjuring flames. He did what he normal does, and force the issue. He brought his head down behind the shield enough to just see over the top of and held the sword out to the side to allow for a quick swinging action. He focused on Silver, as he felt the demon was the stronger of the pair. Riven would come after Silver was incapacitated. Rose on the other hand, still clung to Ash's shoulder, wishing for his aid.

Let go of the wish he ordered. I can take it from here. Be ready though. he said, Rose nodding in agreement. His legs stopped pumping as hard, but the ebbing speed was still enough to bring him to Silver. Just before he made contact, dirt and dust whooped up into the air. Something Riven probably did, but Silver still had to be in the path of his Shield Charge. He had to concentrate on the demon. Ash pushed through the dust, fire, and fatigue, hoping to feel the contact of Silver on his shield soon.

Silver kept producing flames, spinning himself trying to create a tornado of flames if he could. Suddenly he felt it, one of his blades hit something and he knew it had to be Ashley's shield. Silver forced all his might into the sword hoping to stop Ashley, however he failed and was slammed by the shield. Silver noticed the dust cloud and knew Riven was planning something. While on the ground he shot a hellfire into the dust cloud hoping it would hit Riven's sword if she was there.

Suddenly out of the cloud of dust came Riven, her Katana engulfed in black fire. She shot the flames condensing them into a ball of black fire. She aimed it toward Ashley hoping it would hit him and knock him away from Silver. Riven then dropped to one knee, she was slightly fatigued she had used a lot of her energy running and on that attack. She inhaled and exhaled rhythmically, she couldn't go on like this she and Silver needed to do something quickly.

And hit it did. Ashley didn't have time to take advantage of the grounded Silver, instead flying over the demon and landing sprawled out on the ground. There, he laid panting heavily, Rose hovering above him, worried. "Ash, are you alright?!" She asked frantically. It was a couple of seconds before Ash answered her. "Yeah. I've been better, but I can keep going," He said jerking up into a sitting position.

Rose shook her head, knowing any attempts to disaude Ash from fighting would be futile, and instead opting to sit on his head. She felt the day's fatigue as well, even if she wasn't taking the brunt of the attacks. "Right, got to stay on the offensive. Can't let them breath for a second," he said, slamming his sword into the ground to help him onto his feet. His legs were screaming, sore from the superhuman power that just flowed through them only seconds ago, yet Ash put them out of him mind. They would only serve to get in his way. He forced himself to a stable standing position.

And he walked.

He walked towards Silver and Riven, shield up, and sword to his side. He could hear the crowd roar. He spun his sword in his hand, causing the crowd to yell even louder. Fly up high, out of our way Rose, Please. Use whatever strength you have left and put power into my arms. Ash asked. She didn't need to be anywhere near him for this.

Rose felt what was going through his mind, nodding and giving a simple, "Okay," before flying to the ceiling and hovering.

Ash continued to stalk toward's Silver and Riven, unflinchingly.

Silver got up on his feet, he stared at Ashley he knew this battle was drawing to a close. Silver's began to grow dark he was wrapping himself in darkness. This was his plan from the very beginning, he wanted to fight Ashley with everything he had. Sudden;y Silver unleashed a dark aura around himself it engulfed his body and forced his body to change shape. He took the form of a werewolf, behind him nine tails flowed freely. Silver had not mastered this form yet, however he knew it gave him more strength and speed which he needed at this moment.

Riven began rising to her feet and he then yelled out "No!, this is my fight." Riven was shocked, Silver wanted to fight alone. Silver saw something in Ashley, he saw his strength and determination and he admired it. Silver wanted to see just how much spirit Ashley had in him. Silver charged Ashley his two blades gripped firmly in his hands, Silver swiped at Ashley's shield with his right sword and then came down with an overhead slash with his left. Silver was hoping Ashley would block the left with his sword causing them to be locked, Silver planned to push Ashley back with everything he had.

"Great, he's a werewolf now..." Ashley sighed. Which probably meant he was tougher and stronger than earlier. Well, there went Ash's trump card out the window, maybe now it'll just let him match strength with the demon. Ashley closed his eyes and then rolled his arms and head, loosening his tired bones and muscles. He kept them closed, like he was digging for something from within. Something deep.

Then he found it.

He quickly opened his eyes and spun his sword again, this time with more ferocity than before. The last thing he heard was Please Ash... Be careful. before his limits were lifted. "Limit break," He muttered under his breath and surged forward to meet Silver. Sword locked with shield, and sword locked with sword. And Ash pushed. Ash pushed with strength and ordinary human couldn't muster by himself. He put his shoulder into his shield and pushed. The combination of Rose's Aid and Limit Break, should have put him on equal footing, if not passed that of Silver.

As Ash pushed, he let a guttural grow loose.

Silver slammed into Ash, using all his might to push the man back. Silver had to use everything he had just to keep Ashley from pushing him back. Silver watched as one of his tails moved slightly past his face and Silver got an idea something not even Ashley would expect. Silver slowly moved his tail toward Ashley's left leg, he then jumped back and wrapped his tail around Ashley's leg and hoped it would trip him forcing him to the ground.

Silver knew that tripping Ash would throw him off balance and he could then use that slight opening as a chance to get in a good strike, the second Silver's feet touched the ground from the jump he lunged forward like a fencer he was aiming for Ashley's shield shoulder hoping to make him drop it.

Ash felt the tail curl around his leg, and he knew what that meant. He was about to end up on his ass. "Damn," Ash muttered as Silver jumped back, putting him on his back. Then Silver was lunging forward again, blade looking to become acquainted with him. Instead of raising his shield and trying to fend off the attack, Ash did things his own way. As Silver passed over heading for his shield arm, Ash coiled his legs and thrust out, trying to catch Silver off guard and throw him off.

Silver didn't notice Ash's legs until he was in the middle of his lunge, Silver was thrown over Ash and when he landed he rolled dropping his swords "accidentally," He then slowly got up and waited to see what Ash's next move was if he tried to attack him while he was getting up Ashley would get a big surprise, but if he just stayed there Silver could use hellfire to blind him and then attack.

Silver was trying to think ahead, he wanted to be able to predict Ashley's moves however, Ash was kind of a wild card. He didn't do what most people in his situation would do and it forced Silver to think out of the box with each of his attacks.

Ash used the momentum from kicking Silver away to roll onto his knees. His sword and shield hit the ground for a moment before propelling the man forward. He dragged himself a couple of feet before getting his legs under him once more, and charged Silver. This time, he was the one on the offensive, Ash had enough of this defensive crap. He was not a defensive fighter.

Ash had yet to feel the accumulating fatigue or pain from his Limit Break ability, but would when this fight was over. If he managed to win, it would be hell trying to fight Mad Max in such a state. Alas, that was not on the mind of Ash at the moment, as he charged forward to meet Silver once again. Ash hid behind his shield, only his eyes visible, until the last moment. The last moment, when he quickly pulled his shield away and plunged with his sword, aimed at Silver's center mass. The man was relentless, that was for sure.

Silver smirked revealing his wolf like teeth, Ash had fallen for this trap. Silver launched at hellfire at him, at the very last second a ball of fire erupted from the tip of one of Silver's tails. He was staking the victory on a hunch, Silver wasn't sure if he could fire a hellfire from his tail, but now he knew.

Ash was unprotected and this meant the hellfire had a good chance of getting a direct hit, but Silver wasn't done there. While standing up he created yet another blade, his plan was to place it against Ashley's neck and if the hellfire did its job Ashley wouldn't see it coming from behind the cloud of black fire.

Silver took a step forward ready to place his blade against Ashley's neck or if Ash found a way to counter he would defend himself.

Ash's eyes grew big as the hellfire flew from Silver's tail. He was not expecting that, to say the least. He wouldn't have had a problem here if Rose's protection was still usable, yet no such luck. Time seemed to slow down as the fireball glided to make contact with Ash. Raking the bottom of the barrel, Ash had one last ditch move. He didn't think about it, and instinct took over. Ash pulled back the hand he held his shield with, let go, and chucked the shield at the fireball.

The shield made contact, and fire plumed around the shield and engulfed Ash. He felt worry coming from Rose, but he came out of the other side of the fire and flames and met blades with Silver once more. Ash was wet from the sweat, grimy from the dirt and dust, and panting. He was singed, but he felt like he could go on... Too bad he knew he couldn't. He shook his head. Mad Max would have to wait.

Ash spat to the side, locked eyes with the demon, and spoke. His voice was steely and stoic, and gave no hint to the tiredness within. "Listen, we can't go on like this forever. How about a deal?" He asked, stepping back away from the demon. The sword was still at ready, and his shield hand was clutched into a fist, just in case. "Say... A grand? Half of the pay for merely making it to Mad Max. A fifth if you win." He said. Ash may had been reckless, but he was not stupid. He- They needed the money to eat and live for a little while more. He'd rather make a deal and get a little bit of cash, instead of losing and losing it all.

"So how about it? A deal and you win, or no deal and we can continue to bash each other for another hour... Neither of us would be fit to fight Max," He said. Making sense. Ash was relying on the fact that he looked like he could continue on for an hour. He knew he couldn't. His Limit Break was taking a lot of him and it wouldn't be long before he would have to disengage or risk over doing it.

Good thing they didn't know that.

Silver stopped and looked at Riven, who nodded. Silver's werewolf faded and he said 'alright, we will give you the money." Riven walked over to Silver, she looked at Ashley he was beat and tired however he still looked like he could keep going. She felt she had made the right choice.

The announcer looked confused, he couldn't tell if this was a trick or if Ashley had really given up. Riven placed her blade against Ashley's neck and said "I believe he surrenders." The announcer rang the bell, that was good enough for him. Riven looked Ashley in the eyes and said "could you have really gone on for another hour?"

After the bell, Ash gave Riven a smirk... And then suddenly keeled over backwards. On his back he was busy trying to catch his breath, but between pants, he managed to eek out a, "Hell no." As soon as the bell had rang, Ashley let up on his limit break, and then suddenly all the fatigue, soreness, and pain flooded him at once. Rose fluttered down from the ceiling and landed on his chest, and looked at the man with her arms crossed and brow furrowed. "I thought you didn't give up?" She asked.

"I didn't. I made a deal," He said, copping the same smirk he had gave Riven. Finally a smile crossed Rose's lips, and she tossed a bit of fairy powder into the face of Ash, "There, that should be enough healing to get you to your feet. If not much else." She said as Ash made his way to his feet, using his sword as a crutch.

On his feet again, he looked around for his shield, finding it blackened from the strike with the fireball. He hobbled to it, and placed it back on his back and spoke to Riven again. "I'll be in the locker room, until after your little bout with Max. Good fight, and good luck," Ash remarked.

Riven smiled, she had a feel Ashley was bluffing, however he deserved to win as much as she did so giving him the money wasn't a problem for her. However she wasn't planning on winning just two thousand dollars no she wanted it all. That money could pay for bills and it would still leave her some to get armor, weapons, and maybe even a new demon. Silver looked at her, he was scared and slightly beat up, but he could keep going.

Suddenly Riven saw him, Mad Max he entered the cage after Ashley had left. He smiled and then called his demon, Riven sighed she would get no chance to rest. The announcer stood up and said "Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time for the final fight of the night, Mad Max versus our fearless heroine Riven." Max looked at the announcer and said "start it" The announcer pushed a button and then rang the bell. Riven and Silver charged Mad Max only to be blown back by an underground explosive. Riven hit the ground and started breathing heavily, Mad Max was using tricks to win. He had explosives set under the cage and he had the announcer activate them.

Riven slowly got up, she had a ringing in her ears and she had the feeling she might lose. Silver looked at her and said telepathically "Don't tell me you have given up! We came here to win and win we shall!" Riven slowly got up, she saw Silver change his form, he became a werewolf yet again, he was serious now and Riven decided she would be as well. She stood up and readied herself.

Kallik tilted her head and narrowed her eyes then turned her attention on Jarren. Well? She thought to him. Jarren shrugged his shoulders but then looked at Kallik. If you stay I could probably get a bigger house, move in and get a better job. Thats if you stay until I go get the money from... My old man. He replied back silently. Kallik nodded but then replied but instead of sending him the thought she spoke. "You promise you'll come back?"

Jarren let the words sink in for a minutes. "Of course. I'll come back. How else am I supposed to annoy you." Kallik raised her eyebrows. "usually I doing the annoying. Anyway.... Yeah, I guess so." She said the last words to Katsurou. Without waiting for katsurou to say anything she morphed into her wolf form and moved. She was sitting beside Katsurou now. Jarren smiled and looked at Katsurou. "Well I'll tell you this. Her battle level is 396 and her element is obviously lightning. There you are." He pressed a button on his gauntlet and it released his arm. He gave the gauntlet to Katsurou and spoke, "The gauntlet is also a bit different then a normal one. My mother did some things to it." Then he turned, got in his car and started driving away.

Kallik stiffened. For the second time it was only her in her head. No one else was there, lurking in the shadows, just herself. She looked up at Katsurou and barked.

Katsurou waited patiently for a response. The two looked at each other, most likely communicating through thought, and Kallik suddenly spoke, prompting Jarren to promise he would return eventually, then explain a few things about Kallik. Her level, element and the modified gauntlet, giving the latter to him. Katsurou took the gauntlet and equipped it on his right forearm, the one that didn't already have one. He tampered with it a little, looking through data saved on it. Her ability list was interesting, and the gauntlet itself did indeed seem different as Jarren said. Katsurou was about to ask if there was anything else he should know, but he was interrupted when Jarren said his farewells and left, almost hastily. There was silence for a second before Kallik finally turned to him and barked.

Garm wagged his tail happily and looked back at Kallik. Now, Katsurou was the master of two demons, at least for now. Part of Garm hoped that Jarren would not return for Kallik, since it would be a massive advantage to fight in the tournament with two demons, but he knew that may not be the case. He noticed that Katsurou looked a little confused. As their minds linked, he saw he was wondering if Kallik was truly under his control, as well as if he should have asked for Jarren' phone number or something. He also noticed that Kallik wasn't involved in the link. She looked impatient, but maybe he imagined it.

"Welcome to the family," Katsurou said after a moment, shrugging. Garm barked, grinning, to say the same. Both wondered if anything would change.

Riven began to charge in when a second explosion went off sending her flying into the cage, she hit the ground hard. However she soon got up ready to fight again, Silver growled at Mad Max his underhanded tactics were making him angry. Silver turned to Riven and said "don't move, I will finish him." Silver charged in using his enhanced speed to dodge the explosions when he neared Mad Max, Solar Flare, his demon protected him with a wall of light. Silver cut at the wall his his sword trying to crack it, when the wall faded Silver launched a hellfire that Solar Flare blocked with its own body. Mad Max then charged at Silver while Solar tried to get back on its feet, Silver easily dodged Mad Max's attacks it seemed as if Max was only champion because of his cheating ways and not his skill. Silver grabbed Max's leg with one of his tails and forced him to the ground but before he could finish him Solar rammed into Silver causing an explosion. Solar Flare was thrown back however Silver stood unmoved, his rage and determination motivating him.

Silver charged Max who charged in as well, when the two met Max managed to force Silver into the air by using the force of his claymore however as Silver was coming down he released a powerful Hellfire that devastated Max sending him flying into the cage wall. Silver was preparing a second Hellfire when the bell rang ending the match, Mad Max had yielded. Silver changed back to his normal form and ran to Riven and checked to see if she was hurt. She placed her hand on his shoulder and said "It seemed like your the one doing all the work." Silver smiled and then helped her up as they exited the cage the announcer came down from his platform to meet them. He came up to Riven, handed her the prize money, and said "how would you like to be our new champion, it pays well." Riven scoffed and kept walking on their way out, Riven and Silver passed Ashley. She counted off one thousand dollars and handed it to Ash and said "I hope to see you around some time. Maybe then, i will be the one to face you instead of Silver."

After that they left the warehouse and took the train back home. When Riven got up to the apartment she saw her mother had left some food for her and Silver on the counter. Riven was to exhausted to to eat, but she did place a thousand dollars on the counter and went into her room to sleep. She noticed Silver lay on the floor next to her bed, however she was to tired to even care.

Kallik tilted her head when Jarren put the gauntlet on and started messing around with it. After a few minutes she felt Katsurou's mind suck her in. Sure you got enough for me in here? Sure does seem... scattered. She thought to him as she started looking through his mind. It was like walking on a new planet, an alien's planet. Jarren's mother and me were working on new fighting techniques, including Lightning power. Jarren wasn't keen on looking through my history with his mother. Poor Dana. You tell me what to do I'll do, even if I don't like the idea. Plus some other things with big words I forgot how to say. She thought to him, explaining some things.

Jarren drove to his dad's house. He parked his car in the garage but hesitated before getting out. He slapped the car door shut when the garage door opened and his father was standing there. He snorted, "Hey Dad. I think It's time I get the password to the money Mother left for me at the bank. Give it to me now and I'll be on my way." His dad shrugged, walked into the house and a few minutes came back out carrying a giant leather envelop. He threw it at Jarren. "I took the money out. There it is." Jarren glared at his dad and climbed back into his car holding the leather envelope and drove away to his house.

Katsurou tensed for a second as Kallik's voice rang in his mind. He didn't expect it, so it frightened him. He relaxed as she explained part of her past. Katsurou only became more curious about Jarren's mother, but he decided it wasn't his business, so he just nodded to Kallik. Got it, he thought to her. So what shall we do now?

Katsurou had decided that, since she was the newest member of the team, she should choose what to do first. Garm half-hoped for a sparring match, but he could live with whatever she decided on. He was still a little hurt by his loss. Nothing serious, he could accept defeat, but he did play to win. Getting stronger was all that really mattered to him, aside from Katsurou's safety. It was instinct, impossible to explain, but it seemed a little different from instinct. Like he had a reason to gain power. Trying to pinpoint it, Garm stopped paying attention for a second, then decided to focus on it later.

Riven slowly awoke, her body ached as she moved. However, it was all worth it she had won and she could now focus on getting into the Tamer League. She started to slide out of her bed and then she noticed Silver sprawled out over her floor. She chuckled and softly nudged him with her foot, he awoke and looked up. Silver smiled and said "So, what are we going to do today?" Riven smiled and said "Today we are going to have a little fun." When she opened her door, she heard the roar of a crowd. She ran into the living room to see Johnathon watching TV, he turned around and said "Riven, look they are showing the station battles today." She smiled and sat down on the coach to watch the fight, Johnathon looked over at her and said "So, you won Mad Max's tournament" Riven sighed and said "how did you find out?" He chuckled and said "Everyone who was there is talking about it." Riven smiled and said "Don't tell mom."

Johnathon nodded and said "so what are you going to do with the rest of the money." Riven thought for a few seconds and then said "get dressed we are going out." After about an hour Riven,Johnathon, and Silver walked out of the apartment ready to enjoy the day. Their first stop was the Tamer store Riven had went to last night, the guy who owned the place noticed her and welcomed her back. Johnathon walked around and looked at all the stuff on the walls while Riven tried on different types of armor. She eventually decided to get a sleek light weight black armor, she also bought herself a new sword this one was spell sword, it was large yet light weight it had markings on it to enhance her spells. When she got to the register she looked at the owner and said "Can you get my brother a gauntlet." Johnathon looked at her and said "your really getting me a gauntlet!" He hugged her tight, she felt weird because the armor was on she thought her body was going to ache from the wounds when he hugged her, but she didn't feel a thing.

She also bought Johnathon light weight armor and a staff, it seemed that he wanted to be a mage. The owner smiled and asked "will you be needing any demons to go with the gear." Riven smiled and said "show me the demons." The man turned the computer screen on his counter around to allow Riven and Johnathon to view the demon inventory, Riven and Johnathon spent over an hour looking at all the demons and Riven ended up buying three demons for Johnathon and five for herself. Riven and Johnathon left the shop and headed for the train station, they were going to go to the reservation where their demons were being housed.

When they got there they were greeted by an older gentleman who looked to be in his late forties, he ran the reservation. The reservation was a large prairie like area, almost like a farm. This reservation had both free demons and tamer's demons, however the sides were fenced off to keep players from mistaking demons with tamers for free demons. The man brought Riven and Johnathon to the area where their demons were. Riven smiled when she saw Johnathon get rushed by his three demons they surrounded him and he was excited. Riven's demons however were more aloof, they approached her, but didn't jump to try and hug her except one a small demon that looked like a mix between an antelope and a robot, it jumped into Riven's arms. She smiled at the demon and then said "I'm going to call you June." The demon smiled and then nodded, Riven placed the demon down and asked the man who ran the reservation "I've never seen a demon like that." The man nodded and said "Yea, she comes from a discontinued series, they wanted to make robot like animals and that is what they came up with. The series was discontinued because they weren't selling very well."

Riven walked up to the rest of her demons and noticed four out of the five of them were robotic, however they all had a certain cuteness to them even the pig nosed orc demon. Riven smiled at them and motioned for Silver to come over and see them all.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

That's just the nature of a role play Arcanus, we can't control whether it lives or dies. What could've been done, however, was that a certain Game Master introduced something everyone could've been a part of. Sadly, something like that was neither introduced into the role play, nor was it actively discussed in this OOC thread.

I am willing to get this rolling again. But if that means a whole new re-make of this, then, no.

I suppose I'll just keep my fingers crossed for two more days. Who knows? Maybe space radiation will awaken this role play, and we can all continue without problem. Until then, It'll be up to either someone with a plan, or the Game Master to support this 'reviving' idea.

Cheers,

Archlkan

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

It is a shame. Star City Chronicles seems to have died as well. It seems that every RP I get interested in dies slowly and painfully. Let's at least try to revive it, yeah?

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

So, I'll try this again. Is there any hope of this continuing? I'll wait a few more days for a response, and if nothing has happened. Then I'll be calling it quits for this one. Shame, really. Because this could have easily been solved with a time skip to a more active plot...

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

It'd be nice if we could move on, but I don't mind. My character's in a good position to learn about when the plot begins and join in, after all. But I'll let you decide.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

Heh, Celldweller. It is a pretty good band, and song. (Although my favourite will always be 'My Own Little world.')

Anyway, I was wondering. Although I could post now, I am desperately holding off to do so. Why? Well, I am actually waiting until we are going to either 'move to a plot' or 'time skip'. All we have been doing is chatting, meeting other characters, and train. I am curious as to when we are beginning the Tamer League. I don't mean in-game time...

No, I mean when did you want to skip some pointless time, and go on with something interesting? Something we all can hop onto and ride with. (A.K.A: Moving towards the actual plot.)

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

I've just realized the theme song linked in the introduction is by Celldweller. Fuck yeah. Picked a pretty good song, too.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

lol, i can understand being sick sux like no tomorrow, and no this is not dead, I will get my post up some time tonight or tomorrow.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

Right, so the sequel to Tamer's Wars is up at:

www.roleplaygateway.com/roleplay/star-city-chronicles/

But I don't think that means that this one is dead. I'll try to get a post up eventually here, my sinuses are effed up something fierce, so it might not be for some time... Damn sinus.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

lol, our super post makes people scared.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

You did that too huh?

In hindsight, we could have probably split it up, I post half, Pheonix posted half...

Too late now!

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

yes!!!! the underground battle is finally over now we can get to the good stuff

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

I tend to be overzealous in my pursuit of the best martial arts in writing format.

Which is technogeek for Ashley is a badass, and it takes a lot of words to express it.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

lol no, i expect you to enjoy the fact that it is so long. me and Talisman did good work ^^

p.s. i only posted it so everyone would know how the fighting went, you don't have to read it unless you really want 2

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

Dark phoenix, do you expect me to read that? O.O Holy crap man.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

well seeing as this underground tourney has gone on to long, it will be me and you to see who fights Mad Max, after that we can finally get to station battles, after everyone gets their 4 station battles wins they can enter the league. and lets hope it doesn't end like The underground tourney.

to make sure we don't get to this problem till possibly the League, Station battles will be either 1 on 1 between the player and the station leader npc, or in the special case of Station 3, 2 on 2 between two npcs and two players.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

Because nothing beats the hell out of a heated debate. That being said, who's my next contestant.contestant

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

Oh, oh! Staring contest! Do a staring contest! lol... sorry. I was just expressing my opinion. *offers apology-cookie*

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

boring??? I felt action was quite nice and added a flare to it.. guess i should have made it all talking then that would have been exciting, people talking each other into submission.

Re: [OOC] Tamer Wars

You never decided! Liar! You just went with the flow! you are a fu- .... Oh wait, lol. Forget this, wasn't directed at anyone. blame my randomness. Anyway, long post is long DarkPhoenix. And boring to read. Doh! I apologize, even if I crossed it out. But I just had to put it that bluntly. Never mind, forget about that crossed sentence. Just me getting my opinion out in the open. (xD)
