The Scion veterans stayed unmoving and Caylum stepped forward, these were his troops, the Lord Commissar, though equivalent in rank to a colonel or Brigadier, didn’t give orders to Scions, only to the guard, since they quite often needed the kick in the arse to get the job done.

Holding out his hand for the papers he looked them over once they were in hand, looking them over, Caylum raised an eyebrow. He turned slightly and looked to one of the veterans “Fetch Antarius” Caylum spoke with a tone that gave away his noble heritage but one that didn’t betray the fact he’s faced many a tough fight.

All Scions and Commissars were orphans from noble families, much like many of the sisters of battle, since both the Adepta Tempestus and the Adepta Sororitas (the sisters of battle.) trained from the day they are found and transferred to the schola progenium to be lethal and unforgiving in war. Further training being done when the Progena have passed through the Schola Progenium and sent off to one of the imperium's ordos. It is said that a scion’s skill with a firearm is equal to that of the fabled Adeptus astartes.

One of the Veterans lowered their weapon turned on their heel and marched back towards the Commissar who was still dishing out a verbal reprimand to the Imperial guard officer for some reason or another.

“And why are the civilian shelters not completed!, we can thank the Mechanicus for pulling their weight and setting up the void shield generators and emitters across the whole city already!” the Scion Vet cleared her throat to get Antarius’ attention, he glared at the officer and with a motion dismissed the man. “Yes Scion?” the Scion stood to attention and spoke “Caylum asked for your eyes.”

The two walked back and Antarius stepped next to Caylum almost snatching the paperwork from the Tempestor prime when Caylum handed the papers over, the Lord Commissar scrutinised the papers and his lips peeled back, a seething rage hidden below his composure it seems, though it was well known, the Commissars were as vicious to their own as their enemies.

And then Antarius calmly spoke. “everything seems in order, except for the permit” the Commissar looked it over back and front.“this permit is forged and it is not of parchment used by the Administratum, not only that it does not bare a given seal(wax seal) by a Masor scribe nor a seal from a Lord Commissar” he spoke this clearly and loud so all within the area could hear. “there isn’t even the words of the blessed Emperor upon this scrap of lies, Aschen you are to be detained and handed over to the Terran National government, isn’t that what your treaties dictate yes?”

One of the veterans stepped forward, producing a pair of bulky manacles and spoke “there are two ways this can go ma’am, where do you want it to go?”

At this moment in time, the zealotry nature of the Scions had made those on the roof and the rest of the command squad to be aiming hotshot Lasguns. Twelve hot shot lasguns, two hot shot volley guns (the LMG equivalent) and two plasma guns, and then the weapons of the command squad.

"Sir, Civilian shelters currently in the city have been reinforced and refurbished. We are in the prepping stages for construction. It should be complete in a few months. As for supplies we have a steady amount to feed the troops and civilians so we have no fear of running low on rations." The Imperial Officer quickly replied until the Commissar was pulled away for the moment.

However after the Commisar declared the permit from a woman a fake forgery, and ordered her to be detained the local Guardsman did not stand by for long. Las-guns were aimed at the woman as Guardsman began to assist the Scions in surrounding the woman. Even if she used some sort of flashbang there were a few hundred Guardsman in the area. If she did manage to get out of the encirclement she would not live much longer after that.

The men simply stood in wait for the order to kill. If she tried anything they would open fire.

Otto looked down at the bundle as the rest of the guard started moving to assist. Just the names on the top layer of the bundle meant he wasn't letting this package out of his sight. There was way too many resources for one single spot and he knew the Jinhai weren't too particular on what humankind called for assistance. He had a feeling the administratum really needed to get its hindquarters to minding Myrkul's servitors. The shotgun on his back unwreathed his shoulders shifting metal and barrel to look far more snakelike. The heavy shotgun could move itself around as he needed to carry the bundle.

Otto hefted the bundle of beacons packing over to the line of IG to set down the beacons beside the imperial officer. His gun slithering behind him Otto picked it up by the head as the animate weapon shifted inside his mind to turn back to a gun. Heavy assault shotgun raised the 'safety' turned off by way of a grinding growl from the weapon leveled at whatever threat the Commissar engaged with.

Otto set his mind to amputator shells as his ammo of choice that clicked into the weapon on their own. He decided better of it and the shells vanished into the weapon and stun shells took their place. Getting ammo samples wasn't hard and the weapon could hold a few patterns of them. Ammo counts raised in his mind as the weapon recieved matter from its own small teleport locus clicking them into its clip.

"Get me a beer," Winne shrugged off a peacoat and barked at her assistant. Climbing the ladder in the news room had cut some of her soft edges. Turned 'em hard. She posted up at the bar, a frothing bottle placed before her.

Winne Rineswurth knocked back half the beer in one sitting. She shooed her assistant away, who scuttled outside for a smoke.

Life sucked for people who weren't her, she decided. Today was the day of the week they updated everyone on the missing persons cases, of which there were rarely updates. Did anyone give a damn?

Winne Rineswurth raised the rest of her beer at the soldier type. She assumed he must be one of the seemingly countless military presences stationed in Wing City. Whoever he was, he hadn't been working on that damn wall.

He didn't seem Aschen, either...Hm...

Winne Rineswurth rolled her eyes, but pulled herself from her spot and sidled over to the soldier. She plopped down in the booth across from him.

"What's new, soldier?"

Winne Rineswurth raised her brow, "Reporting," did he not recognize her? Had he not turned on a television?

"Sure," Winne accepted the drink and downed it. It had been a rough day. She hated missing persons day. Say, this guy seemed kinda lost...

"Definitely," Winne sneered before swigging down the rest of her own beer. She ordered another round, seemingly un-phased by her surroundings. News reporters have seen some shit. Just ask one.

"You'll get used to the city. Acclimate to a somewhere, join a something..."

Winne Rineswurth grabbed up her drink as it arrived.

"They're officially missing. Not good business, people unaccounted for when they should be. This kid," Winne tapped the picture of a dark haired kid, "He's been missing for a week now. Went missing back near the Cursed Wood. This other," She pointed to the lady and lowered her voice, "Aschen meddling, they suspect."

"Do you think the Terran National Government stands chance for revival?"

Winne Rineswurth laughed. That sounded ideal.

"You need to get in touch with the right agencies, but..." She handed him a holocard. Programmed in was every missing person on Terra. She had loads.

Winne Rineswurth looked after the stranger who came to adjust their hair. Perhaps they also had information. You could never be too sure.

There she went, getting sucked back in to the thrill of the chase of the story of the case closed. Winne finished her beer.

Outside, the chaos had begun.

Verinotte square was teeming with life dressed to the nines. It was as if day had, for one night, descended upon the Hollow. The lanterns lining the cobblestone walks were fully lit, flashbulbs blinded at every fanciful turn, and there was even one guy who for whatever reason was sparkling.

A long limousine dripped through the crowd like freshly drawn blood. It came to a smooth halt right in front of the stone stairs of Verinotte Hall. For a long moment it lingered, when suddenly the suicide doors swept open. A milennial pink carpet unfurled like a tongue, licking it's way up the stairs and ending promptly before the giant doors. A roar from the crowd! A thousand more pictures!

Daemala Tauvyr and her cream colored gown spilled seamlessly from the limousine. A dark haired woman muscled through the crowd. She shoved a microphone in Daemala's face, who straightened her posture and opened her mouth unprompted to speak.

"Welcome, all, to the Ball of Chaos," Her voice was more than velvet, richer than cake, seeping through speakers all across Terra. She grinned into the camera, which followed the reporter woman everywhere, showing all the world her fangs.

The air shook, and a benevolent force entered the scene, the air's temperature fluctuating slightly with his presence, rising in temperature before evening out as the Dragon's presence solidified, regal robes fluttering in the wind as the night fell on Verinotte Hall. "A ball. I've not been to one in... millennia at least. It shall be refreshing." he mumbled to himself as he walked towards the gates. He towered over most, if not all the inhabitants of Terra supernatural or not.

The Dragon was also here for another reason: To keep Draco away. He was Draco's polar opposite; controlling Light and Benevolent in nature. He made little to no noise as he walked, and glanced here and there at the vampires who stared at him in awe, passing swiftly yet slowly (to him) past the reporters and cameramen and women swarming the hall. Mortals were such fickle creatures, so enamored by fame and fortune that they resorted to things like Vampirism to give themselves more time. He pitied them, but they knew how to throw a party, so he would with-hold judgement for the moment.

He may as well have fun while he was here.

"Gigas Machina cloaked and ready to go".

"All food is prepared and ready!"

"Extra mana reserves are set and ready".

Akio' three maid reported in, as Akio prepared for the opening entrance show. This was all a part of the plan after all, but he decided to wait for a few people and the cameras to show up first. He wasn't particularly submissive or patronizing, but no way was he going to deny Dae some camera time. That would make things more difficult for him after all.

And it was during this time, two others were arriving. The first from an interdimensional portal opened up like a cut mark. He stepped out with red hair, a large black coat way too big for him that went down to his knees, black pants, a red shirt, and bright red sneakers. He also had Crimson eyes, and held a Crimson colored scythe in his hands that looked bigger then him, but he held it with no problems.

At first, one might think he would be turned away for his attire...until he showed him a certain ID, and the bouncer himself, along with anyone else, noticed the quality and design in his clothing. His ID stated this seemingly eight year old boy to actually be an Eldritch being, the son of the very concept of death, above all gods, beings, able to kill even true immortals. As they existed outside the normal universe or even Multiverse, it was possible their idea of attire would be different or that their "clothing" was actually a part of their form.

But even if this was ignored, anyone who paid attention to his clothing would notice it was formal attire, as they saw the patterns and craftsmanship. In fact, they might start to think it was some of the highest quality clothing they had ever seen. It was truly incredible, holding great detail into the form and elements expected in formal wear.

"Yay! We made it on time!"

"Hey, don't be too loud! You will disrupt everyone Crimson!"

Suddenly another being came out of the portal...and it was a young boy, but older then Crimson by a few years. He had white hair and red eyes, like those reported to have been appearing in the area out of seemingly nowhere lately. He was dressed in a seemingly normal tux, but it was clear the level of quality was equal to Crimson's.

Ivera had just started a private investigation business, and his first job...was to uncover any real plots of the vampires if they had ulterior motives. He was also asked to babysit Crimson, as the job came from his father. And when the concept of death itself given consciousness, an Eldritch being older then time itself, if it even has a concept of time, gives you a job, you very damn well take it, especially when you still get paid.

He showed the bouncer their invites, and between the official invites, the quality of their clothes, and the fact one was Death's son, he let them in without any hassle.

Getting reports of others arriving, Akio turned to face the others.

"Thank you for the compliments, but that was nothing. I will get to you all in a sec, but first...allow me to show you something truly amazing".

Akio turned out to the door, and having given Daemala enough time he figured, immediately swung the doors open to invite them in...

...when suddenly two dragons made of pure energy and lightning shot out from behind him at the crowds and the guests! Yet seconds later, right before impact, they exploded into a beautiful cloud of lights which then raced through the crowd, not touching anyone but swirling through them as a smoke trail, before "exploding" once more into a large display of lights that everyone had become a part of. Simply letting them watch it is one thing, but Akio made them part of the display, without harming anyone. Furthermore that move would usually make a magic user feel some stress or strain, but Akio looked fine...and he also looked unfinished...

He raised his hands, and suddenly fireworks shot out from behind him, appearing from nowhere, and radiating him in it while giving everyone a close up view. But even more, they then blended and turned, becoming a pathway of lights that led up to the door.

"Welcome one, welcome all! I hope you will enjoy our food and entertainment tonight! My name is Akio Revela, one of your hosts this evening!"
