"Not sure if you were aware, but the elections for the Prime Minister are coming up. I'm working with Rhea, who has some pretty grand ideas on how to clean things up around here, in Wing City, and Terra as a whole." Official business out of the way, the man cracked a smirk. "Yeah, blah blah, political crap. I was hoping to get a bit of support, going out to the more physically minded and warrior types in the city. Plans to clean up the mess that's the PD is on one of them. As is increasing civilian..."
A molten eye glanced at Skaarj. "Involvement in helping with keeping the peace. There would be contracts for groups and individuals to help with the reforms, and I know some of those groups are a bit more unorthodox with both methods and styles..."
As he spoke, a hand reached into a pocket, pulling out a fist sized canister. This he offered to Skaarj, the smile growing wider. "And I know this might be a little out of your style, but to get guns out of the equation, might want to try this. It's a variation of a flashbang called an adhesive chaff grenade. Fills an area full of small flakes of a metal based glue, jamming any mechanical weapon after one more bullet."
"Just a suggestion."
"I'll vote for Rhea. This might give me the challenge I've been looking for."

The eight year old peeked her head through the door, eyes searching and biting her lip. where is he? She thought. She had been looking for someone here for a long time but couldn't seem to find him. Since she couldn't find him, she looked around at everyone else. They all seemed to be warriors of some kind or another, so she didn't move. She watched to see what the situation was. There wasn't much time for her to be here, nor did she want to cause much of a commotion. Stocke did that
Turns out, he had been quite the idiot in his panic, as well. This girl was always in the one place where she could beat the living hell out of something.
The boy nearly bashed right into one of the doors, struggling to open it in his hurry. Once he did, he found himself frozen, having found just who he was looking for.
The training dummies head sped at him, causing her to speak to him for the first time in a long time.
"Duck Merrick!" she cried out snapping out of her trance as she took a few steps to run towards him.
For a moment, Merrick was thrown out of the dojo with a startled cry. Then, just as quickly as he had been downed, an explosion of strangely colored flames painted the dojo purple. A much taller, violet-haired man in a white suit appeared at the door, holding the dummy head- which was then thrown at Agni.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!? We've got monsters on our tail and you're trying to kill me!"
"They're gone and ain't going back as far as I know. We all ran away. They're staying at, uh, the place Minke works out. Slayer organization somethin' another. I was there for a lil'. Also there was a weird scribbling on the walls, which is what we think summoned the creature, so. Yeah. Not going back."
"I guess a church or somethin'. Got any ideas?"
Dismissing such thoughts he brought his eyes towards the training woman, a lone dark eyebrow rising in curiosity as she performed almost like a dancer it seemed. A dancing tiger, but a dancer nonetheless. However impatience got the better of him as he hovered nearer, standing maybe a half-dozen steps away, and cleared his throat.
But right before her transition, she was interrupted by a man presence. Right...
"I'm sorry, I almost killed you there. You Like to watch or are you going to get involved so that I can continue?" Zii said sharply, a bit irritated that her zone was cracked and the momentum was broken.
"Is that so?" Zii raised and eyebrow in return, allowing herself a more relaxed stance, she switch he short sword from her right hand, and into her left. "Would you like to learn then?"
Zii noted the man's attire and thought it would be best if he changed, but mentioned nothing of it until he responded.
"Though I should state, I'm more interested in things like punching and kicking than using weapons. Swords and such I'm familiar with. That is, ah, if you would be obliging." After a momentary awkward shuffle he added, "I don't have any money."
"Sure. I don't see a reason not to train someone who is willing to put in the work to learn. The question is, are you obliged towards paying me another way outside of money? I propose consistency in you being my training partner. That'll be your payment." Zii stared as the man looked onward with his uncommon manner of speech.
"You will be my partner in training concerning magic. I can see your magics reserves are quite large, and your knowledge more than not, isn't far behind that. So you'll be doing the favor of training with me concerning weapons, and magics. I'll teach you hand-to-hand combat in return. Hows that sound?" Zii asked offhandly as she headed towards the rack of weapons off in the corner that contained the sheath for her borrowed short sword.
She sheathed the sword and took up a a stance in the center of the room, after crossing the distance. She posed with her feet separated, shoulder length, left foot about 6 inches behind her other. She lower herself, bent her knees and put her arms out flat palmed with her right arm further stretched out in front.
"Not a fault of anyone else, really, just the lifestyle I chose. Always be on guard and all that." He lacked any semblance of a stance himself, relaxed and neutral. His free hand was rising for the neck of his cape to undo it and hold it in his grip.
Zii let go o her stance and jumped up and down to loosened up. She hopped from toe to toe and then waited as the man undressed.
"Also, I get the way lifestyles turn out, no exaggeration, you just need always be ready. So come at me, sense you seemed to be ready. The work out routines and proper learning comes later, just show me what you got."
