Introduction
Once upon a time, there was a land named Atleos. All the fairy tale characters we know and love live there; their stories bleeding through into our world, and our stories bleeding through into theirs. Our two worlds were separate, and both could all peacefully live out their lives without knowing of the existence of other.
But one day, something changed. The barriers between the worlds were weakened; Soon, people began to switch between the worlds when their lives matched up just a little too well. As the barriers grow weaker, and more and more people begin to switch between worlds, a journey begins to save the lands of Atleos and Earth alike.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This roleplay will take place in two worlds; the real world and the world of Fairy Tales. Every player will control two characters; one in the real world, and one in the fantasy world. The 'main' story that is in place (trying to return to your home universe) is only a guideline, and sub-plots and adventures unrelated to the main plot are encouraged. The longer we can draw the main plot out, the more time we have for character development and adventuring.
When creating a character, start with a fairy tale character that you feel comfortable with. Try to avoid popular characters such as Cinderella and Red Riding Hood, and stick to the lesser known characters, or characters that have more room for proper development. Edits to the stories the character comes from are welcomed, but make sure that they match.
For the real world characters, make up an original character and choose a way for their life to match that of their fairy tale counterpart. Remember: YOUR CHARACTERS DO NOT NEED TO ACT THE SAME! They switch places by matching positions across realities; they could have polar opposite personalities. Try to keep it variable and interesting.
Please remember that characters CAN die. You can kill off one character and leave the other alive; but be warned, if a character dies in one world the other character will be unable to switch back to their native world. This may or may not be a problem for you; you may want to leave your characters in their new world.
You can create your own original character (we would recommend this), but there are a few characters that can become part of the roleplay that are available. If you wish to take one of these characters, please PM me. They are:
Princess Signy, Prince Ring, and Prince Asmund. THESE ROLES DO NOT HAVE TO BE FILLED FOR THE ROLEPLAY.
This roleplay will be GMed by multiple people. Please contact either me or The Angry Penguin for different information. The two of us will control various NPCs that you meet (bartenders, taxi drivers, woodsmen) as well as the two queens that rule over the world. Ideally, the roleplay should be driven by the players and we should only need to fill up the world-building roles.

"I'll continue working till Friday and I ask, no, demand for a severance package that includes additional payment based on months of service, payment for unused vacation time and sick leave, payment in lieu, insurance that includes medical, dental and life, stock and assistance to teach the newbies how to work while others go into your office," she counted with her fingers about how much the restaurant owed her, "Don't forget, I also have those unpaid extra-shifts and scrubbing the toilets. Seriously, why isn't Bi-Lisa doing that?"
She calculated it in her brain and smiled, "So that's about three thousand, two hundred and seventy-two dollars. Severance packages are expensive, y'know," she didn't wait for the man to explain himself.
"You will agree, have to anyway. Employees' final wish, right?" Lydia was a smart girl, she knew her numbers and how to do what she needs. She took her bag and left.
She wasn't going to cry, or feel anything. It hurt her like a boyfriend breaking up with you over his game consoles. She was a smart girl, got good grades in her classes and scholarship. Why would this affect her in anyway? Affect her enough to make her go into a bar and try to drown her sorrows away.
"A beer, please," she said to the bartender as she sat one of the stools.

He stood up out of his chair and walked to the office that had all the employee contracts filed away. He pulled out the third drawer and looked for her name. To double check her claims he removed a tan folder from the drawer and flipped through it, reading the details of her employment. He had not promised her a severance package in the contract--the restaurant didn't even have severance packages, like he had thought. He couldn't think of a single restaurant in the district that had severance packages let alone in the entire New York metropolitan area. Waitresses in general almost never have severance packages. Those were reserved, for the most part, for people on a professional salary who were laid off, not fired. A waitress is not considered a professional salary. She wasn't even eligible for unemployment compensation, she was fired under Termination for Cause. She would receive nothing at all. Evidently, Lydia had no idea how being fired worked.
The owner calmly filed her folder away. If she came again he would just send her away. There was only one full day between today and Friday--it was late Wednesday. No sleep would be lost over this issue for the owner.

The bartender looked at her skeptically when she asked for a beer without specifying a type, "We have lots of beer here, ma'am. Which one?" She must not have gone to bars often, he mused, as he tried to guess her age. He pulled an empty glass out from under the counter and waited for her preference.

"Can you dilute it just a tad bit?" she asked, "I'll have classes later anyway and I can't get kicked out,"

Oh, she needed to find a job. She shouldn't tell them that yet, maybe after she got another job, "Do you have the latest newspaper lying around?"

Turning to the demon hunter he said, "I would think finding two strange men in her sibling's domicile is the root of her feint. As it is, my form may be a cause for alarm. therefore I will change into my other, which you can explain as you please. Be aware hunter that I will not forgive an attempt upon my life, and a Darkwatch sees his business as life and death."
So saying he began to shift, fur began to form over his skin and clothes, excess items melting into his body and adding to the general mass until he stood in wolf form. A hulking beast as long as he had previously been tall fell onto all fours before sitting and watching the hunter through still red eyes.

"Waitress, Daycare teacher, exotic dancer," she raised an eyebrow on the last one. Over a hundred applicants and none seemed to fit her style at all. She almost gave up until something at the corner enticed her.
"Genetechnics, part-time, 5 days a week, Secretary, Fifteen an hour" she read through the application. She heard of that building before, a science building trying to research something. If they were looking for a part-time secretary, she may be the one. She had ICT skills and she could always put up the family history to put some more heartwarming in it. Eldest of twelve with a working father, she could pull that card off.
She took out a piece of paper, writing down the phone number. It said to put down an interview, she could do that. She had a resume. She smiled, maybe that could be her new job. If not, Adventures in Baby-sitting!
"So how much for the beer if I want it in a doggy bag?" Lydia asked, taking out her little purse. Elia made it for her when she left. Twelve sisters, just too much. Too much love to go around.

Lydia's classes passed uneventfully--like any other day at class.
[Bashie, please keep an eye on OOC. I planned to have you detail your classes but as too much time passed between posts, I just made them uneventful.]
"That's Nathaniel O'Connor?" the officer asked, looking at the image he had on file.
"I told you, he was severely affected by a serum in our labs. We need to get him under medical supervision, or it could start to affect other people in the city!" She said, urgency creeping into her voice. Now, she also had a cover story for any others who were switched as a result of the Queen's curse. If she got the police force looking out for the alternate beings, she'd be able to make sure they stayed together and away from her work. And her company would get invaluable information on different genetic structures in the closest creatures to human that they'd ever found. "Please, officer, you need to get a security team down there as soon as possible!"

Forty minutes of security footage later, a team of trained officers was knocking on the door of Damon Baird's apartment. "Mr. Baird, it's the NYPD. We have reason to believe a dangerous fugitive is in your house. Stand away from the door."

Nathan then told the man the preparations he had made to begin his journey and that they still needed rations and a wagon.

"-Yeah, I just talked to Katria and Jameelia a few days ago." She told her father over the phone as she placed her empty bowl and glass in the sink. Her sister were over in some other university and probably had a better life than her as of now. Lydia held her phone between her ear and shoulder as she washed her hands through the tap for a second. She brushed over her only set of clothes that she considered office-wear. Black pants with a matching blazer and a plaid shirt. She also considered this outfit as funeral wear.
"Well, the girls miss you." Hearing her father's soothing voice and her sisters in the background made her happiness levels bounce. "We know you're busy so just remember, we love you and good luck." She smiled briefly much to one of her roommate's surprise. She shouted in awe to which Lydia, promptly threw the first dishrag she could grab at her.
"Yeah, I love you too." She hated to admit it but she always had a soft spot for her family, "Tell Imolia, Helia, Gathia, Felicia, Elia, Demetria, Camilia, Benecia and Atheia, I miss them too. Okay, bye." She hung up the phone, putting it in her bag. Lydia looked up at the clock above her. Her interview was in fifteen minutes. She had to go soon or else, she'd miss it. Didn't want to make 'the Queen' waiting. "How did your parents name you guys?" Her ditz of a roommate, Fifi asked, "Were they on crack or something?"
"Shut up, Fifi. At my parents weren't on them when I was conceived." To which point, she walked out and slammed the door before Fifi could understand what she had meant. The subway was a great invention, it was quick, cheap and left her enough time to walk to the Genetechnics building. Entering the building was strange, it smelt weird. All fresh and clean. Moving over to the person behind the desk, Lydia spoke in the most formal fashion she could think of.
"Lydia Al-test-tay, interview with your boss for the job interview." Smooth move.

Love,
Ofayle
With the curve of her pen, she ended her letter. She had not bothered to even read it for she knew there was nothing wrong. She put it in an envelope, sitting in an inn. The Queen had called her father to the castle but alas, he was ill so she would go in his place. She was the eldest, a Lady in her own right with a sword on her side. No one dared to move closer to her much to her confusion. For a night, she stayed in the inn as her horse needed a well-rest. She wasn't far from the castle, noticing it on the hill last night. After paying for her meal, room and sending her letter, the young woman left to ride into the Queen's castle.
Despite being a Lady in title, she had hardly seen her father leave the cottage for the castle ever since her mother's sudden disappearance. Her father fell ill for quite some time. Her sisters and her had never left the castle but she was up to the challenge. She listened to her father closely, follow the path and never leave. The Queen had called for her father so abruptly, they couldn't ready the carriage yet. She left that day with her family hugging her.
The weather has been extremely dreary for the past few days and Ofayle had thought it would be different in the castle. She was wrong. By the time she saw the castle, the sky had turned dark as if it was about to rain. She gave her horse to a stable, paying them in a few gold coins. In her leather boots, she made her way over to the castle of Queen Miranda. Halfway through, a guard stopped her. He looked at her suspiciously, noticing her dirty boots, dark cape and hugging clothes.
"I am Lady Ofayle of the Zwolfe family. I am here on behalf of my father, Duke Hugh who is ill. The Queen has called for him and I am taking his place."
