Introduction
It is ten years after such greats as Jaden Yuki and Zane Trusdale walked the halls and a new batch of duelist-students have arrived. Their aspirations, hopes and dreams are as big as those of Jaden when he first arrived at the school. They are there to become professionals, if they aren’t already. They are there to become the best that they can be, and they will need the skills taught here if they are to survive the coming of The Trio.
A few short weeks after the students arrive, a trio of duelists arrives as well, but these are no ordinary duelists. These three possess the power of the elements: Blaze, the power of fire; Alice, the power of ice; Watt the power of thunder. It is through the use of these powers, and through their awe-inspiring skills as duelists, that they are able to take control of the school. Crushing opponent after opponent, and nearly destroying the small batch of students resisting their take-over, it seems as if these beings cannot be stopped…
That is, until three students challenge them.
Will the student-duelists be successful? Will the school be saved? Or is the Duel Academy fated to end in fire, ice and thunder?

It was a short walk down to land, where he found himself a little wobbly after the voyage at sea. Still, he wasn’t about to allow the fact that he hadn’t found his land legs yet ruin his day.
Stepping away from the boat, Kamon saw that the arriving students were to be greeted by the administrators, who were waiting nearby. He went to stand over by the officials, knowing that the sorting was about to begin. Hopefully, he had placed high enough in the entry exam to make Ra Yellow; who would want to be placed lower than that? Of course, Jaden Yuki had come from the Slifers, but he was an exception.

"Yes. I am very excited to be here." He said, holding out his hand. "My name is Kamon. You are?"
The boy was clutching a beaten-up looking duel disk that looked to be from years ago; it definitely wasn't from the academy. Didn't he know that the academy provided them with duel disks? Perhaps not.
Before the boy could reply to his question, though, the administrators stepped forward and began speaking.
"Welcome to the Duel Academy, central location. I am Chancellor Shepard. You are all here because... well, let's be honest... you are either here because you've shown exceptional skill as a duelist or because you could afford to be here. With that said, we've sorted you based on your skills. When I call your name, step forward and collect your uniforms..."
Chancellor Shepard began calling out names, most of which Kamon didn't hear; he was too intent on hearing his own name to pay much attention to anyone else's.
"Kamon Akinari..."
Kamon looked up at the sound of his name. Stepping forward, he accepted his brand new Ra Yellow uniform and duel disk.
"Thank you, sir." He told the chancellor, stepping back into the crowd.

At the mention of skills, Kamon's interest piqued. He wasn't sure this boy was as good as he thought himself to be. Perhaps he should show the boy some humility. The thought was an interesting one, one that he indulged in.
"Say... Tyler, is it? You would not mind dueling me, then, would you?"
Kamon pulled his deck from its pouch, sliding it into the deck holder of his new Ra duel disk. His deck was made up of the rare Six Samurai cards; there was no way he was going to lose with them in his possession.

"I summon The Six Samurai - Zanji!" {1800 ATK, 1300 DEF} Kamon cried, placing the card on his duel disk and smirking. "Then I place two cards face down." (3 cards)
In the space between Kamon and Tyler, a hologram of a swordsman appeared, standing with his sword at the ready. Behind the swordsman, two holograms of cards laying face down also appeared.
This is the way to duel, Kamon thought.

"I summon Spirit of the Six Samurai, but equip it to Zanji." {2300 ATK, 1800 DEF} (3 cards)
A set of possessed armor appeared on the field, but instead of manifesting, the ghost-controlled armor suited itself onto Zanji. Kamon smiled when he saw this, knowing the effects of his monsters. This duel was going to be over quickly.
"Now that my Zanji's attack has been boosted, and Spirit of the Six Samurai has been equipped, I can destroy your Cave Dragon. Zanji, attack!"
*The Six Samurai - Zanji: While you control another "Six Samurai" monster with a different name, destroy any monster this card attacks at the end of the Damage Step. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy another "Six Samurai" monster you control instead.
*Spirit of the Six Samurai: Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up "Six Samurai" monster you control, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that equipped monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. When the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle, draw 1 card. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead.

"Did you forget about my face down cards? I activate Magatama of Musakani! With this card, I can negate the activation of an opponent's Spell Card, Trap Card or Effect Monster's effect that would destroy a card, and destroy it, provided I have a Six Samurai monster on my side of the field."
The hologram rose up, revealing the card's art work. (1 card left face down)
"I can't believe you would think that I would leave my monsters unprotected. Shows how "skillful" you are, huh?"
Kamon was really getting into this duel. He knew he was going to win, but it was still fun.
*Magatama of Musakani: Activate only if you control a face-up "Six Samurai" monster. Negate the activation of an opponent's Spell Card, Trap Card or Effect Monster's effect that would destroy a card(s), and destroy it.

"I summon Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki!" {200 ATK, 2000 DEF}(3 cards)
"I think that I should mention that Kageki gains 1500 attack power when I have another Six Samurai monster in play." {1700 ATK, 2000 DEF}
"I also am allowed to special summon another Six Samurai monster from my hand to the field. I choose to summon Chamberlain of the Six Samurai in defense mode!" {200 ATK, 2000 DEF}
"I also activate the spell card Shien's Plot, which allows me to look through my deck for a level three Six Samurai monster and add it to my hand." (1 card)
With that, Kamon searched through his deck and chose the perfect monster. Like he had originally thought, this duel was going to be over quickly.
"Now, I attack with The Six Samurai - Zanji!"
The swordsman shot forward towards Tyler's Cave Dragon, slashing downward.
*Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki: When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Six Samurai" monster from your hand. While you control another face-up "Six Samurai" monster with a different name, this card gains 1500 ATK.
*Chamberlain of the Six Samurai: The Six Samurai are supported from the shadows by this silent, mysterious warrior. His past is unknown to them, but his countless scars are proof of his experience.

"With those girls out on the field, I would feel dishonorable destroying them." Kamon said, staring at the field. He knew there had to be a way to defeat this guy, but he seemed to have a decently powerful deck of Wind-type monsters. Plus, with that Rising Air Currents card on the field, all of his monsters would be gaining an added five-hundred attack points. But he knew just the way to counter it, provided he drew the right card on the next turn.
"So, is it my turn, yet? Or do you want to continue this little charade?"

But his expectations fell when he saw what cards he had drawn. Still, these cards would be useful later in the duel. Smiling, he played.
"I summon The Six Samurai - Yariza in attack mode!" {1000 ATK, 500 DEF} (2 cards)
"But that's not all. I also activate my face down card, the trap card Swiftstrike Armor, which allows me to Special Summon any Six Samurai monster that I draw." (0 cards face down)
Too bad it won't work until my next turn, Kamon thought.
"Now, finally, I activate Yariza's effect, allowing me to attack your life points directly as long as I have another Six Samurai monster on the field. Go, Yariza! Attack!"
The samurai whirled his chain weapon, then launched it into the space between the Harpie monsters and Tyler.
*The Six Samurai - Yariza: While you control another "Six Samurai" monster with a different name, this card can attack your opponent directly. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy another "Six Samurai" monster you control instead.
*Swiftstrike Armor: During your Draw Phase, if you draw a "Six Samurai" Monster Card, you can Special Summon it.

"You see, the abilities of the Six Samurai is that when one is to be destroyed, you may destroy another Six Samurai monster in its place. Bet you weren't expecting that, huh?" Kamon said, sounding a bit cocky. But that was who he was: overconfident.
"Does that end your turn? Or do you want to try something different?"

"It just so happens I drew a Six Samurai monster. Thanks to my Swiftstrike Armor, I can now Special Summon him."
Kamon laid his card on the duel disk. (2 cards)
"I summon Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho in defense mode!" {1600 ATK, 1000 DEF}
"Also, I summon Shien's Footsoldier in defense mode." {700 ATK, 300 DEF} [5 monsters on Kamon's side of the field] (1 card)
"Now, I again attack with Yariza. Go!"
Yariza again began to whirl the chained sword-blade, sending it flying directly into Tyler for a loss of another thousand life points.
