Introduction
It is ten years after such greats as Jaden Yuki and Zane Trusdale walked the halls and a new batch of duelist-students have arrived. Their aspirations, hopes and dreams are as big as those of Jaden when he first arrived at the school. They are there to become professionals, if they aren’t already. They are there to become the best that they can be, and they will need the skills taught here if they are to survive the coming of The Trio.
A few short weeks after the students arrive, a trio of duelists arrives as well, but these are no ordinary duelists. These three possess the power of the elements: Blaze, the power of fire; Alice, the power of ice; Watt the power of thunder. It is through the use of these powers, and through their awe-inspiring skills as duelists, that they are able to take control of the school. Crushing opponent after opponent, and nearly destroying the small batch of students resisting their take-over, it seems as if these beings cannot be stopped…
That is, until three students challenge them.
Will the student-duelists be successful? Will the school be saved? Or is the Duel Academy fated to end in fire, ice and thunder?

Kamon thought this whole school set-up was totally unfair. He had been late; he had been scolded for it. The Obelisk Blue student - Sloan, Kamon thought he heard him called - had been late as well, and had been welcomed with open arms. Kamon didn't know how to respond to that, except to put his head down on the desk and listen to the teacher.
Kamon heard Tyler's comment about teaching them stuff they didn't already know. He had to stifle a laugh at that one.
The teacher droned on, ignoring him and listing a number of monsters, such as Penguin Soldier, Cyber Jar and Cyber Stein, all of which were outdated as far as Kamon was concerned. It was a relief to him, and to the class as a whole he was sure, when the bell rang and class was over. Now, they were to eat and then retire to their dorms. Kamon couldn't wait to get back to the Ra Yellow common room.

It didn't take long for the small group of students to go to the atrium, it was only slightly down the hall from the class. What really surprised Emily was that they had attracted a rather large amount of followers due to the outburst in class.
"Hmph." Emily scoffed as they entered the massive dueling arena. In no time she was already on the other side of the field with her opponent on the other corner.
"You're going to regret this." The American warned as she set up her duel disk, ready for anything. "Since you challenged me it's only fair I get to go first, right?" She asked politely as she waited for her opponent to get ready.

Dannie sat down in the growing mass of students in the Duel Atrium.
"Come on Tyler show her what you got", Dannie shouted at his partner.
"Wow, ever since I've been here I've never experienced a real duel before", Dannie said to himself.

"I play one monster in face down defense position and a card facedown." She said confidently as a hologram appeared on her field. (4 cards)
"Your move Slifer." Emily grinned as her haughty queen persona came out during duels.

"Wow, you seem to attract alot of attention from the girls", Dannie said watching all of the girls swoon over Sloan.
"I think Tyler is going to win this one", Dannie said with a smirk as Tyler through down Jinzo. "By the way, I'm Dannie", Dannie said extending his arm.
"Yep, I still remember, Tyler", Dannie shouted back.

In a single move the boy had summoned up two monsters that if she let through would defeat her in a single turn. However she had a surprising option to that. "I activate Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying your Premature Burial, Jinzo, and your Amplifier." She said as her facedown card revealed itself.
"Are you done yet?" Emily asked impatiently.

However Emily straightened up and tapped her foot impatiently as the Cyber Harpie returned to his side of the field. She sighed loudly. "Are you done now?" She asked, drawling out the 'now' in annoyance. He was pretty good but hopefully this excruciatingly long first turn of his would be done quickly.

"Yeah well I play a Batteryman deck which mainly consists of getting power in numbers... what deck do you play?", Dannie asked.
"Wow, this guy is actually pretty nice, guess I judged him wrong", Dannie thought.

"First off, I summon Fusilier Dragon, the Duel Mode Beast!" She cried as her massive metal dragon appeared onto the field.
"Normally he's a level 7 monster with 2800 attack, but by cutting his attack in half, I can summon him onto the field normally!" [1400atk 1400def] [4 cards]
"Now, I activate Monster Gate!" She cried as she raised her spell card into the sky, a large dimensional wormhole appearing above her. "By sacrificing one monster I get to reveal cards from the top of my deck until I get a monster. If it's not a monster, I send it to the graveyard, but if it is, I get to special summon it." [3 cards]
Emily started to reveal various cards in her deck, discarding 4 other spells until she finally got a monster. "Nice!" She cried as she placed it on her field. "I special summon my Barrel Dragon!" A massive dragon with gigantic revolvers suddenly appeared on the field. [2600atk 2200def]
"Now, Barrel Dragon's effect allows me to target a monster and flip three coins, if two of them are heads, that monster is destroyed." Emily cried out as three holographic coins appeared on the field and flipped in the following order: heads, tails, heads. With an elated cry from Emily, Barrel Dragon launched a gatling attack on Tyler's Cyber Harpie Lady.
"I'm not done! Now! I activate a Premature Burial of my own! With this I special summon my Fusilier Dragon back onto the field but now in his final form!" [2800atk 2800def] [2200LP -> 1400LP] [2 cards]
"Now! Fusiler Dragon! Barrel Dragon! Attack!" Emily cried as the giant dragons aimed it's turrets on Tyler and fired its rounds.

"Honestly, from what I can see," she tried to advise, "you might want to be careful of what cards you put in there. That Amplifier you had really wasn't necessary as you didn't even have any traps on the field for you to use. You might want to weed out a few cards and avoid unnecessary plays." Emily said, somewhat referencing to her smooth and calculated way of dueling. "Either way, you'll get there."
And with that Emily hopped off happily from the dueling platform and made her way to the stands.

"Whoa using opponents cards against them!? That sounds powerful!", Dannie exclaimed.
Dannie ran off the stands onto the platform to comfort his kneeling partner, "Don't worry everyone you have been dueling has ranked higher than you, but you still gave them a good fight which is better than I can say for most people."
