Alice wasn't sure whether she should take the boy seriously or not. He seemed to be serious - what with that intense look in his eye - but something about him made Alice want to laugh. With this tough guy facade, Alice could tell he was a lady killer and a bit of a clown. Perhaps those thoughts were what she found to be so funny.

"You would like to duel me?" she asked, incredulously, "I should warn you that few have ever dueled me and won, let alone a shirtless boy from a dueling school."

When she saw that he wasn't so easily dissuaded, she only smiled, imagining what this boy would look like frozen in ice. He would give new meaning to the term 'hunk-sickle'.

"Since you are challenging me, I shall be the one to go first." She said, drawing six cards from her deck. (6 cards)

"Now, I summon Secret Guards of the Ice Barrier in defense position. {200 ATK, 1600 DEF}

"Then, I place two cards face-down and end my turn."

Damn, what's he up to? David thought, Low level monsters? Is that what his deck made out of? The heat of the blaze hit'em from behind and David instantly started sweating. He was one of those people who hate the hot, because he grew up in a cold environment, David liked to be cold rather then warm.
"Y..yeah my turns over, go."

Blaze grinned maniacally. He loved as the flames that encircled the two players danced and flickered to and fro. The powers of a shadow game were absolutely intoxicating as Blaze delighted in the intense heat; he took the term 'in the heat of the moment' to new levels.

Blaze took upon his draw phase and grinned. [4 cards] Revealing the card he just drew he nearly threw it into the slot on his dueldisk as he pressed the button. "I activate mystical space typhoon! I get to destroy one card in your spell or trap zone and I pick your facedown!"

Tyler groaned "that ends my turn now why did i just get struck by lightning when I took damage to my life points" Tyler asked he was still in an immense amount of pain from the lightning if this was a shadow duel he didn't know how much more he could take of this kind of damage before he collapsed

As the hurricane was about to destroy his facedown David said, "Then I better activate it!" He smiled as his facedown revealed itself. "Scapegoats!" Just then the tokens appear on the field and surrounded his Breaker in a circle. "Like I'd make it easy for you."

[3 cards] Blaze's eye twitched as the boy's scapegoats emerged. He expected something more dangerous, not something absolutely annoying. Blaze sighed at the move; he had expected to destroy the little bastard that turn, not deal with the little munchkin goats. With a sigh he reached into his pocket and took out a cigarette, igniting it with a flame that appeared on his fingertips. "Time to go wild then." The flame haired youth said to the rather annoying boy.

"I reveal my facedown monster! Flamvell Firedog!" [1900/200] He yelled as a beast made out of hot coals and magma appeared on top of the holographic card.

"Because I have a faceup Flamvell Monster and you have less than 3 cards in your graveyard I can special summon my Neo Flamvell Origin!" [500/200] Blaze said as a small wisp of fire appeared on the field. [2 cards]

"Now! Since you don't have anymore facedowns I'm gonna go wild here! Flamvell Firedog! Destroy his Breaker!" Blaze cried as the flaming dog dived at Breaker, slashing through the mage knight's form. "Now! His special effect triggers! When Flamvell Firedog destroys a monster he can special summon a monster from my deck with less than 200 defense! And I pick my Flamvell Magician!" [1400/200] In an instant, a blaze of fire erupted in the middle of the field as Blaze's Flamvell Magician appeared from the flames.

"Now! Origin! Magician! Destroy two of his scapegoats!" Blaze yelled as the two wisps of fire burned through two of the goats, data shattering as they disappeared. "Now! My battle phase may be done, but I'm long from finished! Now I tribute my Flamvell Firedog to summon my Flamvell Commando!" [2200/200][1 card] A flame consumed the firedog as a man like creature rose from those flames.

"My Flamvell Commando has an awesome trick little boy." Blaze grinned. "By removing a monster from my graveyard from play I can deal damage to your lifepoints equal to the removed monsters attack! And I pick my firedog! Dealing 1900 damage to your lifepoints!" He yelled as Blaze's Commando readied its gun and launched a massive fireball at the Slifer Red.

"What's wrong kid? Can't stand the heat?" Blaze laughed maniacally as the flames surrounding the boy rose until they were at his chest. "I'll end my turn with one facedown." [0 cards] [Total damage 300+1900=2200]

[4000->1800] There was only one word cruising throughout David's mind as the flames rose, Pain. "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAH." Even though the fire still hadn't touched him, the heat was so intense that he could 'feel' them, he almosted collasped right there but he forced himself to stand up. "Haaa.....ha." Three monsters on a single turn David thought, Looks like I misjudged him, he's good. "My turn now? Draw!" [5 cards] His hand still wasn't getting any better but at least he could stall for time. "Okay, first off I'll summon Magician's Valkyria, then I'll activate Magical Dimension, which does three things in a certain order if I have a Spellcaster on my field; First) Tribute one monster and I choose a scapegoat, Second) Special Summon a Spellcaster which is another Valkyria, And Finally) Destory a Monster on your field so bye bye Commander." The steps happened in that order, all the while the inferno behind him increasing it's size. [Atk 1600 Def 1800] "Then I set these two cards and attack your monsters!" [0 cards, 2 facedowns]

"Tsk tsk tsk young one. You need to learn to be patient." Blaze grinned as he wagged his finger at the Slifer Red. "Didn't you see my face down card?" Blaze chuckled as he clicked a button on his duel disk, allowing the card to reveal itself.

"Reveal facedown! Flamvell Counter! By removing one monster with in my graveyard with less than 200 defense from play, I can negate and destroy the activation of a spell or trap, and that means your Magical Dimension! By removing from play my Flamvell Poun my Commando is safe and you're short one Valkyrie." Explained Blaze as he let out a puff of smoke from his cigarette.

"Watch yourself kid, you might just get burned."

"That lightning, my boy, is part of my shadow game! Everytime you lose lifepoints a bolt of lightning flies in your direction and hits. Sounds shocking, huh?

"With that being said you better be ready for a real shocker! Because I draw![4 cards]", Watt smiled at his luck, "I play the field spell Wattcastle!", under the duelists feet a castle rose up over them with sparks jumping across the castle. "With this whenever you attack any of my Watt monsters your monster loses 1000 attack!", Watt smiled at the terror he was about to bring up on this kid.

"Now I summon Wattgiraffe![Atk:1200 Def:100] and I will activate Wattcine!", Lightning struck the ground as a giraffe with sparks emitting from its body emerged from the light. As soon as the giraffe stood on the field a ball of eletrical energy was absorbed by the giraffe and more sparks jumped around it's body more rapidly.

"Ok, now Wattgiraffe use your special ability and attack his lifepoints directly! And now with Wattcine I gain lifepoints depending on how much damage I do!", Watt said with a smirk knowing this was all about to be over. [1 card]

Wattgiraffe: This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent as a result of a direct attack, your opponent cannot activate the effects of any Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster Cards until the End Phase of this turn.

Wattcine: When a Thunder-Type monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, gain Life Points equal to the damage inflicted.

Tyler cried out in pain as more lightinin struck him "I can win this" he said to himself tyler said "I draw" Tyler looked at his hand and saw several moves he could make, "I summon cyber harpie in attack mode (1800,1400) "then I activate the magic card cyber armor boosting its attack and defence by 500 (2500,2100) "Harpie lady attacks your only facedown and cyber harpie at tacks your other face down. (2 cards) "Then I set one card face down and end my turn why are you doing this to me" Tyler said

David smiled vanished from his face in the blink of an eye. Darn, looks like she gonna have to wait to next turn. "Since you don't have any facedowns left I can attack without worry," David said, "And it'll be you Origin who get to leave early!" His magician charged and destroyed his opponent's monster, shattering it to dust with a wave of her staff. [Damage= 1100] [1 card] [2 facedowns] David laughed in triumph as the flames around the weird man rose to above his knees. "By the way what's your name werido?" He asked ending his turn.

[4000 -> 2900] Blaze laughed as the kid asked his question. "How courtious and crap of you." Said Blaze as he ran his hand through his hair. "Name's Blaze kid. But its not like you're gonna need it where you're goin."

"My turn! Draw!" The red haired youth cried as he intiated his turn. [1 card]

"I'm gonna kick off my turn by summoning my Flamvell Archer!" [1300/200] he cried as a flaming tribesman appeared on the field in a swirl of fire. [0 cards]

David smiled, "Didn't I say It wasn't gonna be that easy?" He pointed to his right facedown as it rose. "Trap card activate, Dark Renewal, and you've got no more cards to counter with." David said, "This card can only be activated when you summon so thanks." Aw crud, should've used it when he tuned, he remembered, could've gotten rid of more of his cards that way...well can't stop now "It takes the soul of your newly summoned monster and a soul of a monster on my field and uses them to revive a Spellcaster in my graveyard!" A Coffin with a cross embedded in it's design appeared on his side of the field. "Now Coffin of Darkness, use the souls of his Archer and one of my Scapegoats to bring back Breaker, the Magical Warrior!" The monsters became spirts of light which were absored into the coffin which was instantly clouded in a coat of black smoke. When the smoke cleared Breaker stood in his armor with sword and shield and hand. "Ha...ha...continue at anytime Blaze ha...haa...oh, my name's David by the way ha..ha." [1 facedown] [1 scapegoat] [1600, 1000]

"Ahahaha!" Blaze laughed as he slapped his palm onto his forehead. "Nice move buddy but you just fell right into my trap!"

"I activate my Commando's special effect again! By using the soul of my Archer I deal 1300 points of damage!" Blaze laughed as the Flamvell Commando loaded another round, launching yet another fireball at the Slifer Red, dealing another 1300 points of damage to him.

"You know, I'm just gonna end my turn now. Maybe if I'm lucky you'll just finish yourself off, David." He said mockingly.

[1800-> 500] David was now screaming in pain as the flames rose to his shoulders. Why does this hurt so much, it's just some simple flames he thought. The pain was so intense now that it forced David to fall to a knee. "Ha...ha...ha......D..draw!" [2 cards] He smiled when he saw the card quick and unseen from Blaze. He found the strength to stand only a little while later. Ha..hey Red I need your help so give me strength. "I Activate Magical Mallet, you should know this cards effect but I'll tell you anyway, It'll let me put this card back into my deck, suffle and draw." He placed the card on top, let it suffle and was drawing when he thought, Help me buddy, please. The card he drew made him shed a tear which was quickly evaporated. Thank you. "I tribute Breaker to summon my duel spirit and friend, Dark Red Enchanter!" Clouds swirled around Breaker until you couldn't see him and when blow away stood Red. [Atk 1700->2300 Def 2200] "Now, since you failed to set any traps I'll have Red attack your Commando" Red blasted Flamvell Commando into pieces. "And Valkyria so him who's Top Magician!" Valkyria casted a spell on Flamvell Magician, who disappeared in the blink of an eye. [0 cards, 1 facedown, 100+200=300] "This mayyyy be a little late but, didn't your parents teach you not to play with fire." The flame around Blaze rose to his chest, "You might get burned." He said mocking his opponent.

Tyler watched as the cannon delt damage to his life points and again out of nowhere a bolt of lightning hit him "AHHHHH" Tyler said dropping to his knees in pain "are you done yet" Tyler said grittig his teeth.

[Tyler's Lifepoints 3400->1600] [Watt's Lifepoints 4000->5200]

"Well, boy, I honestly didn't think you would last this long. I gotta say I'm impressed", Watt said with an ear to ear smirk on his face.

"But I'm not done yet! No mercy for you! I tune my Wattdragonfly and Wattgiraffe to Synchro summon Wattchimera!", Ever dealed with a Synchro monster before, boy? If not be ready for a real shocker because I now equip my Wattchimera with Mist Body! Also my Wattcannon activates inflicting another 600 lifepoints! [1600->1000]", Watt knew this was going to go his way all along, but he seemed to have the time of his life.

"Ok, boy, now I end my turn, and I can't wait to see how you get out of this one", Watt said with as much confidence as a Cheetah chasing a Zebra with a broken leg.

"If you dont do something next turn, boy, then you might as well give up now" [0 cards].

Blaze frowned as his life points trickled slightly down. [2900 -> 2600] "Don't get cocky kid. That's my job." He said as he stamped out his now finished cigarette on the ground, only to pull out another from his pocket and light it on the now waist high flames. Taking a quick drag, he breathed out a large plume of smoke from his nose, relaxing as he did so.

"That hit the spot..." The red haired youth sighed happily. "Next time, leave the flame puns to me. Draw!" He yelled as he drew a card from his duel disk. [1 card]

"I don't have much choice." Blaze said as he frowned and placed the card in face down defense position. "I'll play this one in defense mode and I'll end my turn." [0 cards]

[David's Lifepoints-500][Blaze's Lifepoints-2600]
"Ha...ha...My turn, Draw!" David yelled drawing a card. [1 card] Darn nothing, not that it matters, I got this in the bag. he thought cockily. "Time to turn up the heat! Valkyria attack that facedown, and Red lower his lifepoints with a direct attack!" His mages carried out there attacks with avengance. Ohhhh if looks could kill. He thought in response to looks Blaze gave him as he continued to mock him. "Ha.....ha...that make us just about even know." He said as Blaze's flame rose to over his mouth. [Blaze's Lifepoints: 2600-2300=300] "My turns over."

Blaze gave a sly smile as the Valkyrie destroyed his facedown. "Hey hey little kid. Sorry bout this but that's game." He said as his shattered monster reformed above Blaze. "Just cause all my monsters have crap defense, doesn't mean they don't have their nasty effects."

Blaze grinned happily. "You just destroyed my Flamvell Dragnov." He said as his small dragon surrounded in flames finally became clear. A fireball in the dragon's mouth started to form as Blaze continued to speak. "When he's destroyed in battle, he takes away 500 of your lifepoints! That means my lifepoints are intact while yours are gonna smolder out. So sorry kid, looks like you'll be making flame puns in hell!" Blaze laughed as his Dragnov launched its fireball at the young Slifer, taking away the last of his lifepoints.

The flames surrounding David slowly started to encroach upwards as it threatened to swallow him whole. "Just so you know, I like my Slifers well done." Blaze grinned maniacally, a burning psychosis evident in his eyes.

As soon as the fireball struck him, the flames quickly rose above his head. Any minute now and its going be over for me. David thought, So much for dueling with the pros. The flames started to go wild, burning him lightly in multiple places. "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Shit that hurts. Then he noticed that his most of his deck caught fire so he took Red's card and placed it in his pocket before it could too. Just before the flames started coming down, he wondered what death was gonna feel like. Thats when he felt his body hit the ground as someone tackled him out of the blaze. What? Then, as David slipped into a coma, he saw the familar face that was his savior's.

The tall young man stood up over the boy he tackled. He patted down his brown jacket with a gray baseball cap.

"I just get off the boat and already I've got to save your ass." The young man sighed placing the cap back ontop of his gray hair covered head. He grabbed hold of David's shirt and threw him over his shoulder. "Ma is going to throw one hell of a tantrum if she hears about this."

The young man turned towards blaze and glared at him with dark brown eyes that slightly began to resemble that of a wolf's.

"Hahahahahaha you really think you could have beaten me, boy?", Watt said laughing at the fallen hero. "There is no way you can stop lightning once it has taken it's course!".

Watt's duel disk was covered in electricity and then flew up into the sky disappearing from sight. "Well, I wonder if my comrades had as much fun as I did", Watt asked himself as he walked out of the yellow building.

After Dannie came out of the yellow building he realized Tyler was not with them so we rushed right back in. Dannie saw the blondie with a strange looking duel disk dueling Tyler. Dannie saw that this was a dangerous duel somehow... he didn't know how it was just a gut feeling. Dannie hid behind a door and watched the duel unfold. Dannie got really scared for Tyler when bolts of lightning would start to hit him.

Dannie gasped as he saw Tyler fall to the ground and rushed to his side as soon as Watt was out of the way. Dannie tried to wake up Tyler, but nothing would work. Dannie saw a card nearby and picked it up to find that it was Cyber Harpie that seemed to frown at the sight of Tyler. Dannie hauled Tyler over his shoulder and carried him and Cyber Harpie over to the main building hoping the nurse would be there.
